Close up of the Rice and Refried Beans
    Marissa G.

I decided to get order and pick up Lupe Tortilla for dinner. I ordered online. When ordering online you provide a phone number. I got a phone call from the restaurant right before I left to pick up our food. He told me that they were working on a new batch of hot sauce that part of my order required so my order would be delayed by about 10 minutes. I was thankful for the phone call. I left 10 minutes later. When I drove up, I parked and walked in to the to-go pickup area. I told the person working there my name but she couldn't find my order and told me to wait. Another person walked up and asked my name and noticed that my order was right there. He double checked the receipt and added what was left out to complete my order and then handed me the bag with my meal. For a starter I ordered the Fajita Nachos con Pablano. They come with chicken, beans, cheese, and Pablano peppers. They also provide sour cream, pico de gallo, and jalapenos on the side. The nachos were good but very soggy chips. I couldn't even pick them up without them falling apart. I will say that the Pablano peppers were good and added flavor to the nachos. They were good despite being soggy. For my meal I ordered Green Enchiladas. They come with chicken, jack cheese, a green tomatillo sauce, pico de gallo and sour cream. I chose to order mine without the pico de gallo and without the sour cream. They still provided those items but on the side. My meal came with rice and refried beans. I combine the rice and beans for flavor. The enchiladas were okay. They were semi warm. I could tell when I opened up my container. The cheese wasn't very melted and the chicken inside was not cold but not hot either. They did fill the enchiladas with a lot of chicken and I appreciated that. The tomatillo sauce was my favorite part of the enchiladas. I also ordered a pint of Charro Beans. These beans are so good. They are full of flavor and very addicting. I ate them with the tortilla chips that were provided. The tortilla chips were good. They were thin and crispy with a little bit of salt. I also ordered a dozen flour tortillas. They are large and thin. They are very addicting. I ate one with my rice and beans. Despite the way that they look they are very filling when combined with your meal. Overall the online ordering process was easy, the service was very good, and the food was satisfying.

Located in West Lake, Lupe Tortilla offers a great location with plenty of seating. Despite its promising menu and convenient setting, the food experience has been consistently mediocre. I've been to this restaurant several times and it boasts a ton of great options, but the overall quality remains subpar. Today, I ordered from their brunch menu, which features amazing choices. I opted for the waffles with fruit, egg, and bacon. Unfortunately, the waffles were overcooked and too crispy. While the menu and location have a lot to offer and the food is still edible, it didn't meet the standards I'd hope for with Tex-Mex. The staff is so friendly here which makes it a nice place. They have potential but need to improve the quality of its dishes.

great place to go to over lunch, they have a great lunch special. the service is always great and every time i've been there its been pretty busy (which is a good sign). i usually get their enchiladas which are my favorite.

Lupe Tortilla, overpriced Tex-Mex for people who think mayonnaise is too spicy. The queso is, based on the color, texture, and taste, just Velveeta. The food portions are overpriced, stingy, and bland. In a town with 1,000 Tex-Mex places, there are 900 better to choose from, IMHO.

Omg this place was so damn good!!! Excuse my French! My waitress was so sweet and understanding of our difficult selves Not a single thing lacked flavor, it was so good! Clean and spacious and quick service.

This restaurant is amazing! My salad was one of the best I have ever had. Service, was top notch and they were also great with our kids! It's a lovely restaurant, with amazing people.

Great service but the food is so mediocre. Sat at the bar because it was so busy. Got the shrimp and avocado salad. You are really not missing much. The avocado was lacking and the shrimp was very bland. The sauce added nothing to the salad. The enchiladas were also pretty dry. Tried the bean and cheese nachos which were decent, but not worth a trip again.

Not sure if they make their enchilada sauce from scratch, if they do they do a really good job of imitating canned sauce.

The elote was good, but very creamy and a bit heavy. The queso was good but tbh I prefer Torchy's. The grilled steak taco was a bit underwhelming, I wanted it to have more flavor, it just tasted like beef and cheese. The chicken had good flavor and the special weekly taco was enjoyable and interesting, not like any taco I have had before. There is plenty of variety for people including those with dietary restrictions. My friends ordered two tacos each and I was full after 3 tacos so if you are not a big eater stick with two.
