I have visited several Lupe Tortilla Restaurants and the food is consistent, the margaritas are good and they all offer ample seating. On this particular visit, I really enjoyed the cheese appetizer, especially the pepper that was quite spicy and I like their chicken tortilla soup. It's flavorful with chunks of chicken and avocado. The big difference when I visited this location for the first time was our service. We were there midday on a Saturday about 2:30 pm so it wasn't exceptionally busy and we had a party of five. Our service was OK but numerous times we had to flag down our waitress for subsequent drinks or adding items to our order. The food was great. The restaurant was nice, consistent with other locations and they do take reservations, which is a plus the only difference between this and other locations is definitely the service that I received. read more

Stop by here for lunch in between errand running and absolutely loved everything about it! I wanted some outdoor seating but also wanted to get served right away so I got the best of both worlds, the bar area opens up to the patio, and I absolutely love the vibe! The bartender took our order right away, I got the original frozen margarita with salt, and it was worth every penny, not too sweet, perfect strength. I ordered the green chicken enchiladas off of the lunch menu, it came with rice and some sour cream and pico de gallo. They also brought out chips and salsa and some beans, and I wish I would've realized the lunch special did not come with beans or else, I would've ordered some because they were absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the chicken fajita taco salad and though the chicken was good it was just shredded lettuce and tomato, it did not include any thing else so even though it was good it was just a bit of a sticker shock considering you didn't get much. They did have a really delicious cilantro ranch to put on the salad and I put some on my enchiladas also and it totally elevated them! I would give a zero rating if that was an option. Placed an online order, the receipt on the bag was correct at pick up and the order was verbally confirmed. Got it home only to find that the order was completely incorrect. Third phone call went through on our way back to the restaurant and we spoke with Dan, the rude manager. He said, "fine, we'll remake it" and hung up the phone on us. Got to the restaurant, waited while they remade, only to have it come out wrong AGAIN!!! Manager Dan refused to come out and talk to us and 40 minutes later we are still waiting for the correct order. Landon and Aiden were exceptional. They were so helpful and tried to make things right. They should be promoted to management and Dan should be fired and NEVER work on the service industry again. We walked in was greeted by the host and let us know the wait was 45 minutes but it was noon on a Friday so FYI if you go at lunchtime on a Friday, it will be packed we went to the bar and got some drinks. They were delicious and then when we sat down at the table, we were handed menus and they placed down chips with salsa and complementary beans that was the first, but the beans were really delicious so was the salsa. Alex was our server and he was amazing. He was top-tier. He took all our drink orders and brought us everything that we wanted he took our orders and continue to check on us. Once our drinks got low. He was right there with the drink in hand. Everyone really enjoyed the food. They said it was very delicious. I had the enchiladas and I enjoyed them. The flour tortillas were so huge and delicious. We ordered take out on Friday for a Sunday Mother's Day dinner/birhtday celebration. I sent my son-in-law to pick up food which was to be ready at 5:00 pm. When he arrived our food wasn't ready and the take out line was overflowing. Story is their online ordering system was to cap at 15 orders per hour, but did not cap at all. He waited for 2 1/2 hours. He got back to the house around 8 pm. The grandbabies were already fed and needed to get to bed. My other daughter and son-in-law had to leave. Suffice it to say, this mama was not happy. The food was delicious as it always is. The following day my husband dropped in to see the manager. He was very apologetic and submitted for compensation from corporate. I received an email from Lupe Corp stating they would refund the full amount. Thank you Lupe Tortilla for making it right. Came here for a lunch work meeting, so this review is for a 10-person table at lunchtime on a weekday. We ordered some of the group/party fajitas for the table and it came with a ton of food! We carried back easily enough for another full meal for all the people at the table. Our server was a champ and handled our chaotic table very well, with people chatting instead of ordering, our varied allergies/preferences, and some folks showing up very late. The music in this place was LOUD. The central space used for larger parties has high ceilings and no sound deadening, so between the music and several other lunch parties it was deafening. Prices have gone up a lot everywhere but I was impressed with the portion size of our meals we chose. I had the Pablo Patron which had ancho sauce that I was not familiar with; our waiter, Pablo brought over a sample to taste before I ordered. I liked that I was able to see on the menu that I was able to choose a vegetable instead of rice and beans. I had seasoned spaghetti squash that was quite tasty! My dining partner had the Nico, similar to mine but with mine I had the added guacamole salad. We both will be back! Next time I will check out their vegetarian menu! Lupe Tortilla has really lost what has always kept us going back. Great food and getting food out at a decent pace. We went there tonight to spoil a neighbors son and it was disastrous. I have a severe tomato allergy. My purses all have an "emergency epi pen here for patient" tag. I also carry tons of antihistamines. We ordered fajitas with beef and chicken and asked for plate for me with cheese, avocado slices, grilled onions and bell peppers. NO guacamole bc it had tomato in it, NO pico. The sides came out with tomato. We explained to the waiter the situation again and this waiter said "no one is allergic to tomatoes". He took them back and another waiter came back. It was very clear they just wiped them off of the plate, they missed the pile under the avocado slices and you saw all the seeds on the cabbage leaf. Now the manager comes out and our meat came by now and it is burnt to a crisp. We ordered at 608 and it is now after 7pm. She apologized and said she would fix it so I can eat. I take two bites and I can't breathe. I realize my purse is in the car. All the meds I need are in the car. Someone asked if I was okay and I grabbed my throat and tried to talk and I couldn't. I needed my spouse but our waiter was so slow as well as the entire restaurant and he didn't feel we needed to pay urgently. So I am in the car taking and using everything I can... he is fighting the waiter to pay the bill so he can take me to the ER. The food was awful. We ordered the flamenado as an appetizer and the hottest thing about it was the amount of oil covering the entire top of it. Once we drained it and patted all of the grease and extra oil off, it was pretty good. The kid had enchiladas and he ate them. He said they were decent but they were very dry. He felt like they were under the lamp for a while bc the top of everyone was very crispy. This was an awful experience. They made us separate during anaphylaxis bc of a bill. This is a review for brunch only. Excellent pancakes, great omelets and tremendous bacon. The sausage is meh and the beef fajita in any dish should be avoided. Their Benedict's are awesome according to my friends. We are frequent flyers for brunch as it is a great price value proposition! I have to say that brunch is the best meal they prepare but it's only on the weekend. After my nephew's first communion, we were here for a Saturday brunch. We were a table of seven on the patio. It took them a minute to get us seated. It was a lack of staff vs a lack of tables. All was fine until only two entrees came out. If there are more than five people, they have to put it into the computer as two tickets. So, one ticket was made, and the other ticket was still in the queue. The manager came out and explained they would rush the other ticket. Food is fine. We have a Lupe near Austin, but I realized after this meal that the cost of what you are getting is high. It is also an odd menu. There are only a few al a cart options. Much like the Lupe Tortilla I frequented in Dallas, this Lupe is serving up standard tex-mex fare with slower than usual service and mildly high prices. I popped in for dinner on a weekday because I was in the area. I was seated quickly, but had to wait for quite some time for a waiter to come by. He didn't seem happy that I was in his section, possibly because I was by myself and he figured it would be a low tip. Self-fulfilling prophecy, that one. I ordered the queso flameado to start and the fish tacos for my meal. The queso took a while to come out, and when it did it was already almost solidified. It made it very difficult to eat, unfortunately, although the taste was pretty darn good. The fish tacos also took a while, and were, unfortunately, rather tasteless. The fish was also seriously overcooked and dry, fish should not be chewy! The tortillas, beans, and rice were all yummy, though. My waiter took a very long time to bring the check, and I was feeling a little grumpy after my meal took much longer overall than it should have. Prices seem high for the quality of the food, as well.
