My cake from Lupita' was perfection-- executed exactly to my specifications, and a real crowd pleaser in terms of taste. You will pay for the quality you receive. But overall I was very pleased.

Didn't see it on the menu but I asked for a meat tostada. Boy did I get one! They were happy to make it for me. This thing was so full of meat! I was very surprised at the presentation with a tostada shell on top! It needed it too...right on point! It was so flavorful. After your first bite don't forget to breathe because it will be gone before you know it! I had the Asada but I am sure they will add any meat you ask for. Everyone there is so kind and friendly.

My family my has bought cakes for years here! They taste the best with fresh fruit and moist cakes. You guys made my niece's birthday even more special! Thank you

I am absolutely floored with how beautiful and delicious my special ordered cake turned out from Lupita's bakery! Thank you so much to all the crew, especially Anna that helped me with my order. The guests at my event could not say enough about how delicious and moist the cakes turned out to be! I would highly recommend Lupita's bakery for any future event that you have planned!

The green chilaquiles here are a 5 out of 5 . However their customer service is horrible! I ordered 5 plates of green chilaquiles this past Saturday my check was over $71 dollars. You would figure I would receive great service. That was not the case! When I arrive to pay I kindly asked the clerk "Vero" to please give me 5 small salsas and 5 lemons (they come in little bags). No response, ok no worries. She proceeds to tell me my order is ready, so I check the bag sure enough she did not provide what I ask for. I said "oh am sorry you didn't provide me the lemons," she proceeds to tell me "the order was for chilaquiles!" I then replied, " yes I know" she then replied, " We don't provide lemons with breakfast.". Who is she to tell me what I want to add on MY breakfast???!!!! By the was her attitude was the worst! We live right down the street and always come to this place for their chilaquiles on Saturday's and Sunday's, but we will need to find a new place. To the owner, customer service is the key to returning customers and poor customer service will always result in driving your customers away. I hope you used this feedback for training and to hire the right individuals who care about your business.

Lupita's never disappoints! We asked for a craps table cake and they delivered! We received so many compliments on the cake it was moist and tasted very good with fresh strawberries inside! If you've not used Lupita's please give them a try you will not be disappointed. Plus, they have a restaurant inside to buy food as well!

I ordered chilaquiles with chicken chorizo and it was delicious!! I left the plate empty! So good! I would definitely recommend this place for good Mexican food! Server was Linda and she was very nice with excellent customer service.

I can't tell you how many times I have passed this restaurant and didn't give it a shot. My hubby decided that we're both going to give it a try and that's the best decision he could have made. I'm constantly looking for authentic Spanish food. This is very much the place. From Spanish pastries to carne asada burritos to quesadillas. They have the works. The amount of food for the price is perfect. They have restrooms for the customers but they have been moved outside. They also had 6 feet markers done outside their business on the pavement. Martha took my family's order and was very very patient, fun and polite. I would definitely come back. Our order was correct and hot. Good portions, good food and very good service.

3rd time ordering a cake from lupitas and I am satisfied again!!!! Thank you for making my baby's birthday!

We asked for this. (Replace the Chanel logo with LA in that size (our friends initials), remove word Chanel.
    Samy I.

I'm really disappointed in their inability to follow simple instructions or use common sense in following up with customer if the design looked weird to them. I attached the inspo pic and the final product. We asked to replicate the Chanel cake, replace the Chanel logo with LA in that exact size (our friends initials), and remove the word Chanel. We got a Giant LA that takes up the entire cake, its not even perfectly centered and there's no beading in the initials like the inspo cake. Not sure if it was a rushed job, but this shit ain't it. I really don't think the instructions were confusing at all and I am really struggling to understand how my request turned out like this. Lol I'm still shook.

I asked for scrambled, this is what I got instead

I've been coming here for years. Their cakes and breads are always delicious. We even like to buy from the hot food section. But lately the food hasn't been as good. The cook that was there before isn't anymore. His food was always delicious. The new cook seems to always mess up my order. And the food doesn't taste as good. It's a bummer since I "used to buy from here often. Update: 5/2020 I came in to purchase some fresh veggies since I didn't want to go to the market where I'm sure there's a lot of people. And this same cook wasn't trying to sell me anything. I bought some tomatoes and lemons and he declined selling me a few radishes. Even after offering to pay a little extra. Not upset that he declined but more so of him just always having an attitude. He never smiles or greets anyone. He could of politely declined instead I got an ugly look along with a NO.

My go to bakery for gorgeous creative Cakes. Every associate that I've come in contact with that Lupita's Bakery has always been helpful and friendly. They push creativity to the Limit and they always deliver I've never had an issue with any of the cakes that I've ordered and purchased from here. The cakes are very reasonable and they can work with any type of budget. Whatever you want I'm sure they can nail it or come very close to it. I would recommend this Bakery to anyone who wants creative, fun and funky because you won't find any reasonable Bakery like this one.

I've visited Café Dulce in Little Tokyo before, and I usually enjoy stopping in, especially when…read moreI'm in the area with my two kids. The drinks and pastries have always made it an easy place for us to grab a treat, so I'm not writing this based on one random first impression. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing enough that I felt I needed to say something. When we came in, the trash cans were overflowing, and the floor looked like it had not been cleaned in quite some time. I understand that cafés can get very busy, especially in Little Tokyo, and I never expect a place to look perfect every second of the day. However, the dining area felt noticeably neglected. With two children, cleanliness is something I pay closer attention to, and it was uncomfortable trying to find a clean area for us to stand and sit. The overall atmosphere also felt disorganized. We waited at the register for help, but it took a while before anyone acknowledged us. A simple "I'll be right with you" would have made a big difference. I have had better experiences here in the past, which is why this visit stood out so much. I'm hoping this was simply a bad day, because Café Dulce has always been a place I was happy to visit with my family. I'm sharing this because I would genuinely like to see the cleanliness and customer service return to the standard I remember. Private Feedback for Management I did not feel comfortable putting the full details of this experience in a public review, but I believe management needs to be aware of what happened. While I was standing at the register waiting to order, the male employee working there was engaged in a conversation with another person and appeared to be openly gloating about drinking while on the job. Based on what I heard and observed, he also appeared to be impaired or intoxicated. He continued the conversation while ignoring me, even though I was standing directly in front of the register waiting to place an order. The tone of the conversation was not subtle or professional. It created a much darker and more uncomfortable atmosphere than what I would ever expect from a family-friendly café. I was there with my two children, and hearing someone behind the register casually talking about drinking while working was deeply concerning. Someone who appears intoxicated while operating a register and handling customers' money creates a terrible narrative for the business. It raises concerns about judgment, accuracy with transactions, food-service safety, and the overall professionalism of the workplace. Even if the employee was exaggerating or joking, it was still completely inappropriate to have that conversation openly in front of customers. What bothered me most was not only the conversation, but the fact that I was being ignored while it continued. I was waiting to spend money at the business, yet the employee seemed more interested in talking about drinking than acknowledging a customer. As a mother standing there with two children, the situation felt uncomfortable, disrespectful, and honestly a little disturbing. This is not my first time visiting Café Dulce, and I have never felt compelled to complain before. I understand that employees are human and that businesses have difficult days. However, the combination of overflowing trash cans, a dirty floor, being ignored at the register, and an employee appearing impaired while discussing drinking on the job crossed a line for me. I am sharing this privately because I believe management should have the opportunity to address it directly. I hope the situation is taken seriously, not only for the reputation of the café, but for the safety and comfort of the customers and employees.

It's more than enough time to run next door and grab your treats. I ordered a slice of the lemon loaf, a gluten-free cookie, and the classic chocolate chip cookie. The lemon loaf slice is huge, I'd say it's the equivalent of two slices, so it's definitely big enough to share. As for the cookies, Levain is known for making them thick and rich. A small piece goes a long way, making them perfect for savoring over a couple of days (if you have that much self-control!). The moment you walk inside, you're greeted by the incredible aroma of freshly baked pastries, and the service was warm and welcoming. I truly think everyone should experience a Levain cookie or pastry at least once. It's worth the visit!

With ice, the drink only filled to the bottom third line of the cup marking. Clearly, they skimped on the milk. There was also a weird moment when I paid. My total was $15.25 and I paid cash, but I was given $4.75 in change. When I said it should be $5, she seemed confused and asked what I meant. I told her I literally gave you a quarter right now, and she questioned it before eventually giving me the correct change. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume it was a mistake. I understand times are hard, but charging more for products that clearly had corners cut doesn't sit right with me. It just comes across like there's no integrity. Clearly the quality and portions are going downhill. I wasn't even planning on writing this review. I was going to stay quiet, but the chocopie really ticked me off. I'm not going to pay for food that skims on ingredients and shortchanges customers by charging more for less, so this will be my last visit.

And I know that vanilla cupcakes with buttercream frosting is pretty easy to make, but sometimes I'd rather just buy baked goods than make them for myself, especially when I'm driving past what I thought was a popular (and presumably good) bake shop. I expected a high-quality cupcake. The cupcakes looked cute, but they were as dry as the Sahara. They should have been labeled as white cupcakes as I didn't detect any vanilla in them. I suspect that the "buttercream" was made with milk and margarine and powdered sugar.....so much powdered sugar. It was sickeningly sweet, and it was dry too. And a true bettercream doesn't even use powdered sugar. So not only were the cupcakes terrible, they were not even what they purported to be. This is like calling a cut of meat a filet mignon and serving a hamburger. Von's, Ralphs and Albertson's make better cupcakes than this for a fraction of othe price.
