    Sea bass
    Saiteja G.

A high end seafood restaurant in the heart of the city. Special points to the free valet service. Not a lot of places have that and finding a parking spot can get quite tricky here. I was here with a few colleagues and ordered a few drinks - I got the old fashioned. Pretty disappointed! The drink was too sweet and hoping for something a little smoky. We got some mussels, fried shrimp and garlic bread for appetizers to share. For entrees, I got the sea bass. Overall, food was amazing. However, value for money didn't seam satisfactory.

Came here for happy hour with a friend, and this is such an amazing deal! The food and drinks were all tasty. Our waitress was lovely and super helpful. We sat on the patio, which is covered and cooled so it was a wonderful summer treat!

My sister and I love going on sibling dates and exploring new spots around Georgia, and we discovered this place through Instagram. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed-the exterior looked beautiful, and although the crowd leaned older, that didn't bother us at all. We were seated right away, and our server (I wish I remembered her name!) was incredibly knowledgeable, especially when helping us choose wines that would pair well with our meals. She was attentive throughout the evening, and we felt well taken care of. We absolutely loved the oysters, the wine, and our entrees-everything was delicious. We left feeling happy and satisfied. Great experience all around!

I think this was an off night. I went with my girlfriend for her birthday dinner. Everything started off fine. We had a reservation, the inside was clean with low lighting. Our server was friendly, and our drinks came in a reasonable time and were correct. That's when things started going down hill... Another drink that we didn't order arrived at our table for some reason. We ordered the ceviche which was supposed to come with avocado, ginger, kalamansi. There was no avocado, and no kalamansi. It was mostly purple onion. When we asked for the avocado, we got a gray/green avocado puree. Next was the oysters. Broiled with chipotle butter. Rather, drowned in chipotle butter. More butter than oyster. We got 4 of them...for $19. So 2 drinks, 4 oysters, and mostly purple onion was $75. Well, it would have been more because the drink we DIDNT order showed up on our bill (which they did remove upon request). "Would you like to order entrees?" No, we will go somewhere else.

Come and check out the newly relaunched, Lure kitchen and bar and stay a while for some happy hour specials from 4 to 6 PM. There are a myriad of dish options. Some of the favorites include crispy shrimp, the AguaChile, and the caviar deviled eggs. We sampled a couple of options from the crab fries to the seasonal oysters to the lovely salad with tahini dressing and pomegranate. Oysters are half off during happy hour so you don't wanna miss it! Showed up to Olivier on the delicious not a dingdong, chocolate dessert. It was so innovative and delicious and last but not least the bubble waffle with lychee, tropical fruit Ube and strawberry ice cream was so whimsical and delightful. I am very impressed.

I've walked past this establishment a number of times, and finally decided to drop in for happy hour. Best decision ever. The vibe inside the restaurant is super stylish. You can tell they took time to develop the aesthetics. Bree and Elia(sp?) took care of the sinks and service for the evening. Both of them were excellent bartenders and gave stellar recommendations. On top of that, Bree was nice enough to add me to the rewards program. I had (2) of the best old fashioned I've had in some time, a dirty martini, and a Sazerac served up at my request. All of which were sensational. For my food choices, I elected for the half dozen happy hour oysters, a soft shell crab bao, and a blackened salmon taco. The mignonette for my oysters was really tasty. The bite on it was tart and tasty. The bao was delicate and packed with flavor. The blackened salmon was out of this world. I'm coming back today

Went back to Lure with some good pals in celebration of my 39th birthday (actually 55th, but I'm 18 with 37 years experience). I've been here numerous times with usually good results, but last night wasn't one of them. For starters, we had the hamachi crudo and fritters with southern aioli. fritters were very good, and we all enjoyed the zing and crunch of that dish. the hamachi, however, was an ill-conceived plate where the fish was smothered in fruit cocktail and the hamachi was not even detectable. if you're serving hamachi crudo, the fish needs to be the star of the dish... and it wasn't. I attached a picture of that dish for reference. moving on to my main, which was swordfish: the fish itself was cooked ok (my sense is that it sat under the warming lamp too long) but the real issue I had was that it was served with an unctuous brown sauce more suited to a filet mignon or porterhouse. the sauce made absolutely no sense with the flaky delicacy of swordfish; I've cooked swordfish countless times at home and on no planet would I use that sauce (should be white-wine-based with capers and acid). the accompanying carrots and potatoes were not cooked correctly and were also ill-conceived. my co-diner had the mussels and pork-belly buns for his entree, both with their own problems. his mussels were over cooked and the sauce work was oddly out-of-whack with the protein. his buns were served with minuscule amount of pork, which was all gristle, and basically inedible. Lure comped both of his dishes. lone bright spot was my other co-diner's spiced salmon and street corn, which were both quite good. plating was off on his salmon, but it was quite tasty. I will also say last night's service was also pointedly lackluster, with plates sitting too long on the table and one guy asking to clear when we were barely halfway done. we appreciated the manager coming to speak with us when we offered notes for the chef, but in reality it shouldn't have come to that. they informed us Lure was in the midst of a chef changover, but that shouldn't have affected our meals in the way it very obviously did. in all honesty I love this place. the setting is superb and I want Lure to succeed, which is why I'm going into such detail here. for the amount of money we spent last night (without removals it was around $85 per person) we were extremely disappointed. for reference, the hamachi itself was $21 and the swordfish was $31. hoping these notes help the kitchen excel in the future.

It was 5 stars across the board! This place is a hidden gem in Midtown. Love the ambiance of this spot. Dining room is an intimate spot with cozy seating. We were seated right away by the hostess out in the patio around where the plants give the space a quiet semi private haven with minimal noise from the street. Marco our server came right over to ask if we wanted water ( they have choices!), see if we had any questions about the menu and to take our drink orders. Apart from Marco being wonderful what we also noticed was the teamwork exhibited by all the staff. Every server who walked by our table spoke and enquired if we needed anything. The young ladies who brought our drink, stopped and chatted. The manager stopped by our table to check on our food and the service. The food was delicious! Bisque was rich and creamy with lots of crab. Our fish entrees flaky, juicy and not overdone. We didn't have time for dessert but no worries, I'm sure we'll be back. To be noted there is a great selection of bourbons so stop by for the daily happy hour!

Celebrated my birthday dinner here. The staff was polite and friendly and the food and drink was delicious. The place was somewhat empty for a Friday night, which was a good thing because all the attention was on making sure our food was good, lolol! But I believe there was something going on in the city and that could have been the reason why. Prices were very reasonable and the atmosphere has a nice vibe for date night or hanging with friends.

My husband made reservations for Valentine's Day and Lure did not disappoint. We enjoyed the whole fish and pasta dish from their speciality menu. The service was great and the food was delicious.

We were able to grab a few dishes from happy hour and I highly recommend going to happy hour for starters. Service from my waiter was slacking however the buss boys (not sure of correct term) were amazing and prompt. Everything I tried here was delicious.

We ordered the roasted trout grilled prawns. We had the ceviche and tuna tartar.

What a lovely evening. Staff was incredibly attentive. Food was excellent. Definitely going back. We also had the prawns, ceviche, tuna tartar, mojito, old fashioned. Excellent dinner.

For our 4-Days trip, we ate here for two days!! Trust me - their Lobster Bisque is a must get. Unlike many restaurants where "lobster bisque" is more like "lobster flavored heavy crème"... Steamhoise Lounge's Lobster Bisque is loaded with lobster meat and perfectly flavored soup, and not too salty. (Yes; saltiness is my pet peeve as many restaurants masks their flavorless food with loads of salt) The oysters in their raw bar are "fatty" with a hint of ocean saltiness. Their peel and eat shrimp is fresh and crunchy... oh so good!! And finally - I love their Fisherman's Stew.., again, the dish is perfectly seasoned with super fresh seafood. SO GOOD!!!! A must try spot for your visit to ATL.

I walked here, so I can't speak on the parking situation, but it didn't look too busy outside (around 7 PM). Vibes inside were pretty nice and casual. FOOD: The Wednesday special is a great deal, where a dozen raw oysters are $15 and a half dozen char-grilled oysters are $10. Raw Oysters (4.5/5) - I have to preface by saying that I am not usually a fan of raw oysters; however, I thoroughly enjoyed the ones here. They were mild in flavor and tasted fresh. There are plenty of hot sauces available at the table to dress up your oysters. The platter of oysters also comes with horseradish and cocktail sauce. I must say I really enjoyed the oyster and horseradish combo. Char-Grilled Oysters (4/5) - Grilled with a garlic parmesan coating. It was nice, but I actually preferred the raw oysters! Not overcooked. Lobster Bisque (3.25/5) - Creamy and pleasant, but I don't think I could eat a lot of it. I'm glad I only got a cup of it to share. Claimed to be "Atlanta's BEST for 25 years," so I had to try. First experience eating a lobster bisque, but the chunks tasted more like imitation crab? Probably would skip if I returned here. SERVICE: Service was pleasant, but not super fast. Getting your order taken took a hot minute, but once that was out of the way, you got your food pretty fast. TLDR// I would come here every Wednesday if I lived in Atlanta because the oyster specials are such great deals. Can't speak on any other menu item, but you can't beat the price on Wednesdays.
