Sorry Lux, I'm not terribly pressed this time around. For covid protocols, I think they do great my having as many separators as possible as well as having you use hand sanitizer and asking you to continue to wear masks. Everyone is doing their part with PPE. I dropped in to get my nails done with a design a week ago. Here's where it gets disappointing. First, it seems like getting an appointment is the way to go especially if you want nail art. Ask for Hannah for nail art as it looks like she does great stuff. I had a picture of the nail art I wanted done and got the vibe from my manicurist that she wasn't very eager to do it. That's fine, I saw she had amazing nails and asked her to do a similar style on mine. She had me choose which accent nails I wanted and suggested a polish I'd like for the rest of my nails. Problems arise here: cuticle care was painful and all I got was oh that hurts? Yes. It does. No antibiotic or anything. So my cuticles took a few days to heal after the manicure. She added multiple layers of base coat so my nails are already super thick without any color added on. (Length was added which I understand.) My left pinky got the most attention with the magnetic polish so it looks great. The rest of my nails? Not so much so the effect is unimpressive. The nail itself is uneven and off center. Then came my nail art! Looks great BUT exactly one week later, my nails are already starting to bubble. I already had one begin to bubble away a few days after but I sealed it with some of my own top coat. I used to love this place and would recommend to everyone. My most recent experience has been quite lacking. Do your research and make an appointment if you want a good experience. It's been a hit or miss for me now. read more

Had a great experience here. Came for a walk-in appointment and was immediately seated and two technicians came and did both my manicure and pedicure. I hadn't picked out my color yet so they brought me a book of options that I could look at while they got started. They did a great job cleaning everything before applying the polish for the mani/pedi. The color turned out great! Overall an incredibly pleasant experience and I'll definitely be back:) read more

I have been passing by this place everytime I go to safeway. I was hesitant to get service from this place because the name itself sounded very pricey and that I would be getting average service like where else no matter how expensive you pay. BUT I WAS WRONG. It was my 1st time there today and got a gel fresh mani & Lavender spa pedi. Jenny did my pedi & June took care of my mani...At first I wasn't so sure if they would provide the service I was expecting. But boy! It succeeded my expectations! They were both so professional, they know what they were doing and they did not rush at all! I've been to so many nail spas that nail specialists are always in a rush to receive more customers! Nothing "Lux" or luxury about this place. I walked in around 9am and left at 12pm. Gel Pedicure was fine. Quick and Easy. No complaints there. New Set- Manicure was terrible. THICK. CROOKED. SLOPPY. HAD TO BE RE-DONE TWICE. Both hands came out very looking differently since MULTIPLE TECHS worked on each hand at the same time. Very unprofessional.... Crooked nails?! I'm really unhappy with these nails. I've never been to a nail place where they would think "oh yea a crooked nail looks acceptable". I don't think this lady is experienced at all. She also shaved so much of my cuticle off that it hurts to wash my hands. Service was great. But I would not be back for someone to come shave my skin off and give me crooked nails!! Pricey but walk-ins are welcome. Service is fast, facility is clean, staff is courteous. The ambiance is comforting as the lighting is good and they play some soft background music. The massage chairs are noisy. Parking could be a little tricky but there is a Safeway next to the plaza so you can park there. They do not offer masssage in spa pedi, just something to be mindful of. All in all will visit again but service could be better read more

Lux nail spa wasn't as luxurious as their name suggests. A very basic mani-pedi (no massage) will be done in about 30 minutes if your goal is mainly efficiency and a polish change. Their main plus is being so well located right next to Safeway. If your goal is a relaxing and pampering experience there are other nail salons walking distance from here that will do a better job. I don't think I'll be back. read more

I wanted to treat myself to a nice pedicure but this wasn't worth it. Despite it being relaxing and not busy, the service was not the best. My polish chipped and it was too thick in some areas of my pedicure. On top of that I also received many cuts on my toes from filing too hard on my skin, don't recommend even if you're in a rush. read more

Pros: talented nail techs (see picture, i was very pleased with how my nails turned out) and decent health protocol (hand sanitizer & temperature check before entering) Cons: I was in the chair for 2 hours, and my nail tech didn't even cut my cuticles, soak my hands, or give me a massage so I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone in a rush. Additionally, the "appointments" are fairly meaningless. I called ahead and made an appointment for 3:45pm; I was brought to a chair at that time but spent the first 40 minutes waiting for a nail tech to become available. All in all -- I'm pleased with the outcome but would come back only if I have *a lot* of time. read more

I've been here multiple times for pedicures and have always felt pleased about my nails after. The place feels clean, the ladies are friendly. They will offer you water or tea, although I've never wanted to drink any cause taking off masks were a hassle. I'm often able to get same day appointments which is nice. It's a solid 4 star experience. read more

So get ready for your time there to be filled with information on their services and the consultation to make you feel like you're already buying something. It's a little pushy but their pricing seems reasonable so far and it also means they want to answer questions and help you make a decision that fits for you. The laser facial was helpful in keeping some of my acne from getting reinfected. I'm also hopeful going back will help reduce some of the scarring on my face as well. They were not able to release information the pulse count. They will not refund nor consider feedback regarding their unsatisfactory of treatment service. I think a lot of the time was wasted for my appointment when the main purpose customers go there is for proper treatment. Just beware, (whatever marked $) promo for their $275 signature isn't all that truthful. Definitely not world $275. Ask around other places and they will tell you it will be 15-60 minutes long treatment. Nothing shy of that.

You can argue the treatments are pricy, but buying packages will get you a discount. I just think that's how the industry works so always get packages if you can. This place has a variety of treatment options, though they don't offer something like subcision, which is a more-involved procedure. But I'll just get that somewhere else and continue to come here for other treatments. Of course, they've recommended fillers and such for me. Rha redensity is like one. But they've been respectful that I prefer treatments like fraxel laser and such. There is a reason why they recommend filler though, because it does show faster results than others. The rha redensity provided the most improvement in a shorter time. They also have the skincare you need to purchase with ease. You're going to say those are expensive but they're not selling you products like La mer cream for $400. There is a parking lot, and there's always been space when I went, but the traffic getting there can be a bit much. All in all, I recommend doing at least one treatment here to see how you like it. I had an amazing experience at Lux Beauty Nail Care in Mountain View. I had been struggling with an ingrown toenail for weeks and decided to give this salon a try. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by friendly staff members who made me feel comfortable. The nail technician (Kim) who took care of me was extremely skilled and knowledgeable. She carefully examined my toenail and provided a thorough explanation of what was causing the problem. She then proceeded to carefully and painlessly remove the ingrown nail. I was impressed with her expertise and the attention to detail she displayed. After the treatment, my feet felt amazing! The nail technician used high-quality products and gave me a relaxing foot massage that left me feeling rejuvenated. My feet looked fabulous after the pedicure, and the ingrown nail didn't bother me at all. Lux Nails - Please read before you get your nails done here! This nail salon needs to be reported to the california BBB and workers treatment to the state of california!! The owner - over books the nail salon workers and pushes them to work way over time and for too many days in a row, I have been going for years, they do not get the breaks they need, they work way over the california law limit. The owner - in 100 degree heat does not have the air conditioner on, this is a risk for older clients, and the workers to pass out and especially with the fumes of the nail products it is a health issue to have no air on. The workers and her husband try to put the air on and as soon as she arrives she turns it off in sweltering heat - these workers are being abused!!! Do not spend your money here and report this business !! Please log a report to the BBB , may of her customers are complaining , they need to be audited by the state of california workers comp. read more

Was nervous about finding a new nail spot after moving here, but I am SO glad I gave Lux Beauty a go. The salon is calm and spacious; I nearly dozed off while sitting upright lol. I got a gel mani with the friendliest and sweetest nail tech I've ever worked with - Truc! I gave her a reference photo, and I am so impressed by the result. She was so meticulous and attentive while cleaning and prepping my nails, and she is an incredible artist! I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this salon for my manicure with Mahsa. She is amazing and service was exceptional - professional, friendly, and attentive. M was incredibly kind and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. I was very impressed with the precision and attention to detail she displayed while shaping and painting my nails. I only went there to get some acrylics: love their selection and the lady that did my nails was very nice! Price is a little steep, but, for the kind of service you are getting here, I think it was well worth it. I will return and maybe try other services like a feet massage, oil and full pedicure! (Design shown in the photo - they look terrible! Two nails just have wobbly circles!) So basically an extra FIFTY dollars for that poorly executed design! Also, no one else charges extra to remove the old gel. Of course, I had taught her to tip well in the service industry, so that's how we landed at $118. So the nail tech benefitted even more from scamming a child. Overall, I do not recommend giving them any business given their low ethical standards.

I came into this salon for the first time with long, healthy natural nails that had gel builder on them. I left with my nails completely ruined. Julie aggressively cut my nails down extremely short without listening to what I wanted. She cut them so short that my skin was exposed, and several of my fingers actually started bleeding. I was shocked. In all my years of getting my nails done, I have never had a nail technician cut my nails to the point of making me bleed. What made the situation even worse was that after my fingers were already bleeding, Julie continued to file my nails. She then proceeded to put acetone on all of my fingers, including the areas where my skin had been cut open. The burning and pain were unbearable. Instead of stopping the service, checking on me, or asking if I was okay, she kept going as if nothing had happened. To make matters worse, she then attempted to put some type of glue or ointment directly onto my bleeding finger without explaining what it was or asking for my consent first. I had to stop her myself. I was honestly in disbelief that this was happening. My fingertips are now extremely sensitive to touch, throbbing, and painful. Simple things like washing my hands, typing, buttoning my clothes, or accidentally bumping my fingers hurt. I walked in with beautiful, long, healthy natural nails that I had spent a long time growing out, and I walked out with bloody, uneven, painful nails that look nothing like what I came in with. I brought my concerns to the manager, Alicia, hoping she would take the situation seriously and offer a meaningful resolution. Unfortunately, she wasn't very helpful. I left feeling dismissed rather than cared for. There was very little empathy or accountability for the fact that a customer left injured after what should have been a routine nail appointment. I will be attaching before-and-after photos so others can judge for themselves. The pictures clearly show the healthy nails I came in with compared to the damaged nails I left with. I would absolutely not recommend this salon based on my experience. No customer should leave a nail appointment bleeding, in pain, and regretting their decision to come here. If this is the level of care being provided, other clients deserve to be warned before trusting this salon with their natural nails. I genuinely believe Julie needs additional training and closer supervision before working on clients independently again. A basic nail service should never result in exposed skin, bleeding fingers, acetone being applied to open wounds, and a technician attempting to place an unknown product on an actively bleeding finger without first obtaining the client's permission. What happened was not just disappointing--it was unacceptable. Save yourself the pain, frustration, and heartbreak of having your natural nails ruined. I wish I had never stepped foot into this salon.
