I had my truck washed, and the interior detailed. Now I'm riding gorgeous! I checked Yelp for auto-detailers and saw the good reviews for Eco Luxury Detail. Here's the deal: I met up with Mike, the detailer, in the nice, open parking lot of a Newport Beach apartment complex, where he had set up a shade canopy over some parking spaces. They have a deal with the apartment parent-company, it's all legit. And Mike's a chill guy, professional, will break down his process to you if you want. I took a walk and grabbed a bite while he was doing his thing. A waterless cleaning method is used to wash the car. No hoses, no puddles, no wasting of precious, precious water, no pissed-off tenants, everyone is casual. It took about two-and-a-half hours (my ride was filthy and stained). They are as obsessive with their basic details as they are with full paint correction and their complete detail packages. I work with CarNinja locally here in Orange County and we have these guys do all our cars regularly which includes everything from Ferrari, Range Rover, Fiat, BMW, Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Honda... We were super frustrated by all the paint scratches and swirls we were getting from regular hand washes, guys using the same dirty towels on all parts of the cars not to mention having cars that were still dirty in the jams and between the spokes constantly even when we were paying for higher end "detail" packages. We have a 2012 Subaru Forester that had severe hard water etching on the clear coat and windows from being parked in a driveway and exposed to sprinklers every day. We tried getting it detailed through the company in our building, but they were not able to help, and recommended taking it to a body shop. I contacted my insurance company and they directed me to Caliber Collision. Caliber did some tests on the finish and said they'd be happy to fix the problem, but suggested Eco Luxury as a far less expensive alternative. Big shout-out to Caliber, by the way, that was classy of them and they will get any of my body work if needed. Knick came out and checked the vehicle out, and said that he could remove the hard water damage by hand and apply a ceramic coating which, combined with the restoration work, would restore the finish to new and keep it that way. He also said that he could detail the interior and erase the toddler filth and adult coffee spills. He quoted me a price which I frankly thought was insane (because I was not a detailing kind of guy - I drive trucks and trash them), and I told him I would think about it. I did some research and discovered that his quote was actually really good. We left town on vacation, and Knick took the Forester to his location. When we returned, Knick delivered a basically new vehicle - the work was flawless, and my wife and I could not have been happier. He followed up twice in the next few weeks, as the coating needed to cure prior to some additional finish work. Throughout the process, he was communicative and very customer service oriented, as well as just plain nice. The ceramic nano-coating is awesome, it is like having a Teflon finish - nothing sticks, and three months later, the Forester still looks new despite sitting in the driveway every night. He knows I don't have a car and being the nice guy he is asks if I want to use his car while he is away. I take him up on his offer all is fine for the first year. A week before he is to arrive home I back into a pole. Perfect timing right? A friend of mine says she knows this guy that owns this place yada yada yada...and I end up calling the Eco Luxury Detail.( From this point in the story in I will call it Ecolux.) And here is my story....... Spoke with this guy Knick told him what I needed and he asked me to send him some pictures. I sent him the pictures. Ten minutes later Knick calls me back and explains to me that he needed pictures of the vehicle not of myself. After sending the correct pictures he gets back to me with a rough estimate. The price Knick gives me is really good. I don't know how much these things cost but I had done some homework before hand to get a idea what the price range should be. Knick sends someone to pick up my vehicle. This was great I was really concerned with how I was going to get home if I had to drop off the vehicle at his shop I don't know how I'd get home. I'm not well liked so not many friends to help :( The person who picked up my vehicle was named Luis. This guy is great and WHAT A HANDSHAKE he's got! He introduced himself and explained that he was also the person who would be fixing the car. Luis then explained how he would go about doing this. I was lost I'm not the brightest and know next to nothing about cars so I just smiled and nodded. I handed him my keys and off he went. After he left I thought to myself I just handed my friends car to someone I just met, crazy right? But that just goes to show how professional they are I didn't think twice about handing over the keys I knew it the right thing to do and it just felt right. A couple of days go by and I get a call from my man Knick. Knick gives me some news that there is some damage that he couldn't see from the pictures and there was another part that needed to be replaced. I figured this would be the case so I was ok with it. What I really liked about the call was there wasn't any surprises. He let me know up front that if the car was to be repaired back to it's original state it needed this part and it would be this much extra. The biggest surprise came next. When my friend gave me the car it had a good size dent in it. My friends wife hit something a while back denting the door.. Luis and Knick had gone above and beyond and fixed the dent and it wasn't mentioned on the bill! I thank Luis and asked him if I owed him anything and he said "No I fixed it for you because it was bugging me. I couldn't stand seeing the vehicle looking like that after I fixed the other dent." Luis is a perfectionist it shows in his work and his interactions with me. I shook his hand (STRONG HANDSHAKE on this guy I had forgot.) and waved good bye as he drove off. I'd like to say at this point a single tear ran down my cheek because I realized I met the one for me and let him go but I'm not into dudes and crying's for P^&%ys The next day I get a call from Knick just following up to see what I thought of the work that was done. Unbelievable! They managed to get years of fur out of my car. My dog (that drove cross country with me) just died and I couldn't bear to wipe the nose prints from the window, much less figure out how to get the fur from each crevice. I was a bit intimidated since I only drive a 2010 Accord, but this service was worth every penny. My car hasn't looked this good since I picked it up from the dealer when I bought it in 2009! I still am amazed by how clean they got my car. Even the inside of the glove compartment. Eco comes to my apartment complex weekly and I figured I would give them a try this past weekend. I wasn't disappointed. I feel like I'm driving a new car again. I stopped buy to get a price and they came over and picked the car up from my apartment - great customer service to say the least. I'm a college student and don't usually have time for something like getting my car detailed. However the Cali Accord Meet was coming up and I wanted my car to look perfect. Eco Luxury Detail is Amazing. Knick and his team made my 13 year old car look brand new. They kept their word by paying close attention to detail. Inside the car, they cleaned every nook and cranny and showed me all their extra detail and then some. They cleaned the car where others missed and even cleaned the stains from the previous owner. For example, they cleaned marks from a soda that exploded under the steering wheel along with the residue marks of makeup from the girl who owned it before. They were able to remove all the stains which I originally thought were wear and tear and from an old car getting older. The outside of my car was waxed and smoothed like a fresh paint job. They even brightened the head lights that were foggy and cleaned all the bugs from my honey comb grill. To top it off, they polished and re-stained the dull plastic rail/parts on my car, and the steal roof-rack on top of the car. We brought my wife's 2015 Nissan Pathfinder to Eco Luxury to be detailed inside and out. After the work was done, the leather interior looked almost brand new: It really was an incredible difference. The non-leather portions--plastic and carpet--also looked great. Some of the scratches were removed from the plastic. The exterior looked great as well. The small circular scratches that come from regular car washes were almost completely removed, and the finish coat seemed to prevent debris from sticking to the surface. We are going back shortly to have some paint touch-up done on the scratches that we have accumulated over the years: we use this vehicle for camping. Synopsis: My car looks amazing, worth every penny I am in love with my car and will only take her to the best. Why I went with ecoluxury for my ceramic coating: After reading reviews, positive word of mouth, and speaking with the owner who made me feel comfortable leaving my car in his hands over night I decided on eco luxury dispite the made a 202 mile round-trip. Before deciding on eco luxury I got many quotes with prices and install times all over the place, several saying the install time would only be 5-6 hours (very attractive to not have to be without my car). This seemed strange to me so I called the product manufacturer and they told me not to trust anyone saying they could install the product for a few hundred bucks in under a day, they are not doing the job properly. My experience: Far exceeded my expectations. The owner was able to answer all my questions and educate me on the product and process before, after, and during. My car interior was messy when I dropped it off and when I picked it up it was immaculate. They cleaned the inside without me even requesting it. I was in a big hurry the day of the pick up and even though they gave me a complimentary eco friendly loaner car the owner personally meet me half way to make sure I could make my appointment on time. I recently purchased a set of TSW Nurgurgring's for my Corvette Stingray. After I received the wheels I had them powder coated in a custom, super wet, gloss black. I was concerned about keeping them in good condition, and wanted to protect them from surface abrasions and road rash. So I did some research on some different nano coatings, and I decided that I wanted to go with Ceramic Pro. After looking for a certified shop in Orange County, I found Eco Luxury. I called the shop and spoke to Nick F. Nick was very knowledgeable and was able to give me a bunch of information about the Ceramic Pro product. The customer service I received was beyond amazing. Its one thing to pay for and get a great product, but Eco Luxury is a company that truly cares about the services they provide and the experience of the customer. When I dropped the car off in the morning to have the Ceramic Pro product applied to the wheels, I had planned on using Uber to get to work. Nick insisted on dropping me off at work. This is not something that was negotiated or agreed on initially. So this was above and beyond the call of duty. I told him that I needed to have the car back at a certain time, so I could pick up my son. Nick delivered on time. The great thing about the Ceramic Pro product, is that the coating doesn't alter the finish of the wheels at all. They look amazing, and I have some peace of mind that they will stay that way. I will forever be a customer of these guys. They truly care about the finished product and will go out of their way to make sure the customer is happy. I actually wanted to get the whole car coated in Ceramic Pro (and I still intend to), but I'm in the process of changing some of the aesthetics of the car. There are businesses who will do a job, others who will do it well, and others who will do it with a passion and higher level of consciousness in their craft than others. Knick performed an exterior detail and paint correction for the swirls, light touch up, and a clear bra install. Work was beautiful, he sent me pics of the progress along the way, and communication was excellent. Dropped the car off with him, he gave me a ride to work, and I picked it up the next day when it was ready. It's been 2.5 months, and since then I have used some basic methods to just keep light dust and dirt off about 2-3x per week, without ever setting a wheel in a car wash.
