This is my second time coming in here. The first time was when I got this gel lavender nails. She did them pretty thick but it lasted pretty long for me until I started peeling it. Ok, round two... So the same girl who rang me up last time was there, sweet as pie again. She's called Emily. I came for a fill and add on manicure. A gal named Vee, I believe, did the majority of my service then Emily jumped in at the tail end. I asked for thin and narrow, happy with the results on that. The shaping needs some time tuning, some free edges are crescent shaped vs square and one thumb is all f***ing crooked.. looks like a parallelogram. I am giving 5 stars though because in speaking with Emily, and talking about my previous review, and other things, it is clear that she really cares about delivering good service and wants her customers to be happy. This was a first time visit and I had a great experience. Tina was great! She was very attentive and paid close attention to detail. She made sure my nails looked great. It was $50 for gel mani and regular spa pedi. Prices are decent. They seem pretty busy on the weekends so I would suggest making an appointment. Cindy did my sisters acrylic nails and she seemed to be in a hurry and I got mines done by a lady who I didn't know her name. We got our nails done yesterday and this is how they look like now. We were browsing the mall and this caught our eyes, so my husband got his eyebrows done and I got my pedicure done by Kimberly (I think that is what her name was), anyways they did a good job on everything. Felt kind of weird getting a pedicure done in a mall when I'm using to getting it done in a more private setting, but they did a good job. The only gripe I have is that their foot baths are not attached to the floor like some places I've been to and I managed to scoot the tub forward. Felt kind of uncomfortable but I got through it. (When they get to the buffing of your feet with the sander, that's the boiling aka giggling point!) Seems easy to walk in here and get it done on the spot so try it if you're on a lunch break or if you're out and about in the mall and have some time to kill. read more

Not happy with the customer service walked in on my lunch break hoping to get a service that I've already done there in the past I've had a set of acrylic nails and I wanted to remove them, what should be the $10 that's usually added on for this service and they told me they can't do it because they're too new however they have already done it for me in the past at the same amount of time which is going on three weeks that I have them now. When asking for the receptionist his name he didn't want to give it to me, laughing along with asking why. He finally told me his name however I'm still disappointed because I still have a broken nail and nine nails that they couldn't remove for me. She was also being very aggressive when my mom would ask questions. The guy would also butt in aggressively too. My mom came in just to change the color of her regular nail polish (not even gel) on her hands & feet without any cleaning. They charged $25. Also for the hour that we were there 2 people came back because of the poor job they did on their nails. They also have a very limited color selection. I left Luxe Salon utterly dissatisfied, and here is why. I made an appointment a week before my visit. When I arrive, the husband at Luxe did a complete set on my nails. I told him I wanted the metallic powder on my nails and design. He tried to deter me from my request by telling me it would cost $10 per nail. When I agreed to pay this amount, he said, "No, it would take too long." I didn't argue and instead asked for the clear polish so I could leave. When it came time to pay, I would use my debit card, but they refused to take it and asked me to go to the ATM for cash. The lady that paid after me gave them a card, and they accepted. Wtf? Not only that, but the husband kept telling me I was trying to be a teenager as I left the salon. Wait, that's not all. Throughout the week, my hair kept getting caught underneath the acrylic and at my cuticle line, and another nail broke. I went to a trusted nail salon in San Jose the following weekend to fix it. It took them TWO HOURS to file down the excessive amount of acrylic Luxe laid on my nails. The reason my hair kept getting caught was that Luxe didn't file the acyclic down thoroughly. It was beveled at the cuticle line of all ten nails. There was even some uncured powder underneath there because Luxe used too much. The salon in San Jose eventually put the metallic powder on my nails after they were done making the corrections. It took them less than 5 minutes to rub the metallic on my nails when Luxe refused to do it because it would "take too long." I was a long-time customer at Luxe, but after this experience, a waste of time, money, and mistreatment, I will not return. Not to mention, I am a cosmetologist and disapprove of how I was treated as a customer and the poor service. read more

For the price I was left disappointed. I got the full set white tip for my daughter and for myself. Sloppy job, left with lots of bubbles, some nails were left crooked, dirty on the white tips. My daughter's set had the same issue and hers started to already pop off. Under the nail was left un cleaned/detailed thick acrylic was left On some of the nails, I asked them to clean them up also asked them to fix the crooked ones before the acrylic came on but all I got was "I'll fix it later" 41$ not worth the quality they offer. Visited this nail salon twice. This place is clean and neat. For the most part friendly. It's located in southland mall. First visit had a pedi by Cindy. She did a wonderful job, very thorough on her pedi, engaged in conversation, pedicure massage was great and felt very relaxed. She used the hot stones 3-5 min. cons: Although the chairs are comfortable. The massage feature does give you a full massage as other nail salons I've tried. Regular nail color selection: not great not much colors to choose from. Now to the Mani by Kimberly. I must say this was the most awkward 20 min. She did do a wonderful job. Very attentive. Massage was quick and brief. As other reviewer mention taps "felt like small pushes" I too experienced this. Cons: mani chairs not comfortable. I paid with card I'm sure I was charged the 3% the first time. Second visit there was a sign posted that there is 3% charge for card. read more

I was tired of going to the place in union landing. I knew they had a place in the mall and stopped by. I give them 4 stars because they need to be a bit more careful the way they remove the shellac nail polish from the hands or feet. They use the little tool that files and they burn the skin. I'm so paranoid now cause I've been hurt in so many places and always expect to get hurt now. I mean people do feel when they buen the skin with the tool. But other than that it's a clean shop and has good service. So far my manicure looks good and doing my pedí now. I would come back when I need a touch up. I got the deluxe pedicure and gel nails and enjoyed every minute of it. Everyone was friendly and professional. The salon is clean and I like that they use disposable liners in the pedicure tubs. The first time I came here, they had a special going on. This is the second time now and it's pretty pricey.. They do a good job though!

Avoid Ann at all costs. She ruined my 30th birthday. She messed my toes up not once, not twice but THREE times! On the third time, the gal who did my manicure came over and looked at my toes and noticed that there were parts of my toenails that were left unpainted and there was more polish on my skin than the toenail itself so SHE fixed what Ann could not properly do. Ann did a sloppy, lazy job and I did not tip her. I highly doubt I'll be back but if I do, I'll make sure I get the gal who did my manicure to service me. read more

HORRIBLEE!!!! I got a pedicure that cost $35 dollars. The lady doing it cut my toe really bad and it wouldn't stop bleeding. Everyone was staring and it was so embarrassing. She tried stopping it with a bunch of white towels-.-! The guy that works there started yelling at her and has someone else finish the pedicure and she went to the back. THENNN I'm done and I go to pay. I ask for a discount since the lady cut my toe and I was STILL BLEEDING. He tells me he already applied my discount but I my total was $36.00... uhmmmm how is that a discount if my total was supposed to be $35.00?... I still payed it because I'm not the type to make a scene. Mind you, my toe looked so bad for a month and was all black and blue-.- I WILL NEVERRRR GO AGAIN.
