I loathe writing poor reviews. When you're a part of a NFL organization, where in my position appearance is paramount, it's important that when receiving services like this your needs are heard. First I stated that my job was particular about how I kept my nails. Then my nails were cut too short after I showed the finger of the length I wanted... even cutting that nail. To added injury to insult, if your not a regular don't expect to be met with service. All the regulars were greeted with their tea or drink preferences. I was offered nothing. I opted for a regular mani instead and decided not to do my eyebrows or pedi in order to do it else where. read more

Nice place, pleasant atmosphere but they just can't dip right. I had this experience a couple of years ago and gave up on the place but tried again recently as it is very convenient. Had one good experience and then this week did again and within 48 hrs it fell off. This never happens at other salons. Horrible experience, I went to the salon since my usual one was closed since it was Easter. A man tech did my nail dip and he had no idea what he was doing. Once he started doing my new dip it was bumpy and rough and he said he would fix it but it impossible. He tired but made it only worse. I asked him to remove it all again. I just walked in with no appointment as I had some time to kill in between plans. I was visiting the DC area for work, and my hotel was a 10 min walks away. Walking in, they seated me right away. The nail color selection was UNBELIEVABLE! They had tons of gel colors and and they also had the wisest selection of powder dip colors I have ever seen in a salon. The nail artist (I think her name was Jenny) was fast, meticulous, and very nice. I wish they had a shop in San Francisco! It would be my new go-to! read more

I came in town for a conference and was looking for a place that was open late night on Yelp! Discovered this place not too far from the MGM where I was staying. I called ahead and even though they were about to close they accommodated me for a gel mani and pedi, and despite the late hour they were detailed and patient and didn't rush me and stayed well past the time they closed and did a FANTASTIC job! They helped recommend colors based on my skin tone and what I was asking for. May have been one of the best mani pedi that I have ever received! Thanks to Kelly and Ty! My husband and I stopped in for pedicures (and manicure for me) and ended up also getting massages and a gentlemen's facial for him. The atmosphere here is much more upscale feeling than a typical nail salon. You won't see those tacky massage chairs here. Everyone was very friendly and hospitable. Our massages were fantastic, my husband's blackheads thoroughly extracted (lol!), and I can't wait to try out the different options for pedicures in our next visits. My nail tech, Ann, was so meticulous in her work. I am very impressed. I've never had my nail polish last so long and it was just regular Essie nail polish! I don't even bother with gel nails because I somehow never make it a whole 24hrs before something goes wrong. I will definitely be requesting her for future visits. read more

I have been here twice so far since this place has opened and my experiences have been very relaxing and the service has been excellent. The owner and the nail technicians are all very friendly and nice. The nail technicians take their time to make sure your mani-pedi is done perfectly. My mom got the dipping powder manicure with an ombre design. The technician did a beautiful job. I also had a great shoulder/neck massage here. The person who did my massage really got the kinks out of my shoulders. The place is very clean and spacious. I highly recommend this place. The only downside is the parking on the weekends. Old Town is a very busy area. However, if you come during the weekday after 4PM, there is plenty of parking in front of the place! read more

My sister and I went here yesterday and it was fantastic. The staff are knowledgeable and sweet. Both of our nails were done to perfection. We both had regular pedicures but my manicure is gel and hers is SNS. They wear gloves for everything involving pedicures, and have disposable liners in the foot baths. All of their tools are sterilized in between each use as well. To top it all off, the massage chair didn't feel oversized at all and it operated at a calmer speed. I often feel like a child in the massage chairs, and the massage is at a higher rate of speed. The whole experience was relaxing and exactly what we needed. read more

This was a very mixed feeling review. I have 3 for a great atmosphere, the very friendly staff, a great job done on my eyebrow wax, extensive powder dip color array and they did a great job UNTIL the end. For some reason they put a gel topcoat on dipped nails, because of that the next day the topcoat was chipping and peeling off. Has to go to my usual salon the next day to have them fixed. Again, they did a good job on the actual dip and shape but the fact that I had to go get them fixed the next day was not ok. read more

Just moved to the area and could not be happier to have found this salon. So far I've gone for one of their special pedicures, a classic pedicure, dip manicure and gel manicure with a design. The special pedicure included a parafin treatment and it is absolutely worth it! The dip manicure turned out perfect and lasted 3+ weeks. After leaving the shop, I had to come home and fix my nails on my own. Don't waste your time or money.

My friend and I made an appointment to get her nails done for her wedding. When we walked in, they did not take us for 45 min. When they look us, they took over 2 hours to complete our SNS manicures and pedicures. After one week, both of our SNS manicure began peeling up and lifting. One nail even fell off. These normally last 3 weeks. When we called to get them fixed, they told us to come in and they only would fix one nail. They said SNS only lasts a week....not true. Def not going back. read more

They have good services and are good at what they do. But they usually over book themselves and do not care about appointments. I suggest arriving to your appointments at least 15 minutes early in order to get done on time. Don't come here at peak times because they will take everyone who walks in appointment or not and they do not priortize appointments. They do a good job they are just poorly managed. read more

I made an appointment online, got there on time, and they told me they couldn't take me because I have acrylics. I said, I have a text confirmation for these specific services. She just kept saying "I just work here" and that they couldn't take me, appointments online confirm automatically, and I could visit their sister shop a few blocks away. I asked if they could take me there and said, "I don't know, you can call?" Not helpful. Won't be going back. Don't have online booking if you're not going to honor the bookings. read more

The one star is solely because of my pedicure, which was nice. But I visited Luxe for the first time about a week ago, got a pedicure and wanted a full set. The full set was done along with the design I wanted. But when I got home a few hours later, I changed clothes to go out and while pulling my pants up, the middle finger nail lifted. Now if you get tips and acrylic, you know its extremely hard and painful to lift fresh acrylic. My nail lifted with EASE. I had to glue it back on since i was in a hurry. The next day, 2 more nails lifted. That same night i looked at my nails and simply pressed down on a nail and it popped off. Im not sure what kind of products they use, but its either cheap or just simply poor quality. Even when my nails are old, ive never had that many nails lift and come off that quickly. I considered going back to have them redone, but honestly Id rather just go to my usual shop so I know i wont get embarrased walking around a day later with missing nails. read more

Probably the worst nail salon I've ever been to in my 30+ years of being alive. I made an appointment and confirmed it on the phone went to the salon and had to wait an hour and a half. wasn't greeted had to ask for help then when I stated that I had to go to work and I didn't have an hour and a half to wait I was rudely treated. And this is after I gave the salon a second chance the first chance the lady left me bleeding and in pain... and the worst part... thx was my ONLY day off in 15 days in my feet and 200+ dollars hooked in treatments... huge FAIL!! I was in need of some time out of the house and pampering after having a baby. I called ahead and asked if I could bring my 2 month old in and if they had a quiet space where I could breastfeed her as needed, which they said was fine. I came in and the staff was wonderful about letting me have my baby there. She slept for a good portion of my time there, but when she did wake up, the staff was patient, flexible and accommodating while I fed her and held her during part of my services. i booked a appointment for my wife. when we arrived the were confused and overwhelme.Very unprofessional service... they tried to do my wife's hands dry no water .We had to tell the manger that was doing her nail to use water to soften her hands. Also as we continued the nails were placed on crocket. Really messy rough work . Thumbs down and to top it all off she ask for white acrylic. we were later told that he didn't have the color for what she asked at first. After the manager filled down the acrylic, it was later seen when we returned home to her nail bed being destroyed to the point of hurting to the touch .I called and the guy pretended to not do anything wrong after I explained and offered to send pics. One of the worst nail salons in the area. I didn't like the space, even though it was attractive it was not functional. They don't carry a big selection of nice polishes, a lot of lower quality ones. There are no massage chairs for pedicures, just a bench with roll out basins. They did sterilize the tools, so that's a plus. There is no room at the manicure counter. My tech kept knocking things over and there is nowhere to put your feet, so I was concerned I would mess up my pedicure. Again, just one long table, but everyone has their own chairs. My nail tech was awful. She was not paying attention at all. She never turned the water off when filling the basin, so she had to spend a decent amount of time cleaning the water up after it overflowed. No one offered to help her even though folks were not busy, so I just waited. They use the cheese grater, which I'm pretty sure is unhygienic. The nail tech soaked one of my hands in cold water but never soaked the other and went right into working on my cuticles. It was just bad. Then she kept hitting my newly painted nails so she had to redo a few. read more
