Walked in with my sister to get gel manicures. My nails turned out great and the price was great too. My sister had a not so great experience. Her technician had her in tears while removing her previous gel manicure, trying to aggressively scrape off the polish and breaking her nails in the process. To follow that, she asked for her nails to be cut very little, but instead they were clipped down to the skin. He used cuticle cutters to cut her nails more, which resulted in her finger bleeding. She asked to switch to a regular manicure to avoid dealing with a bad gel manicure, and ended up paying more than my gel manicure for a regular manicure. While my manicure turned out fine, I will not be going to this salon again. read more

Have been going here for the last couple months and always leave satisfied! Originally started out with Maci doing my nails but when she went out of town for a month I was referred to her husband Chris and he's been fantastic as well! I tend to let my nails grow out a lot before getting a refill as well as a bad habit of biting around my actual nails but they have always been able to make my nails look good again without aggressive filing and accidental cuts, which is always the most nerve wracking part of a manicure for me. They also have a great selection of SNS dip powder colors, the staff is always friendly and the salon itself is always clean! Prices aren't bad either which I really like because I leave with nails that look good but don't break the bank in the process. Definitely recommend giving this place a try! read more

Nice place when you walk-in and they offer you a glass of wine to relax. I upgraded to the deluxe pedicure which was $35 and the towel warmer broke so cold towels were put on my legs. I also got a basic gel Manicure and when you pick out your gel it says solid color $20. And the price was confirmed when asked. However, when I checked out my total was $70 because they failed to mention it's $20 just for gel and $15 extra to have them file your nails. He barely cut my cuticles or filed my nails because it wasn't needed, same for toes he said. Not a horrible place and seems clean but just beware that you'll be overcharged for your services even if asked. read more

I have been going here for about 2 years now & all the staff knows me & are always super friendly. This is definitely my favorite salon for two main reasons. They are one of the cleanest nail salons in Sarasota & they do a great job. I see Lee for my pedi's and he's the best! He gives great massages and he does pretty nail art. For my nails, I do acrylics every two weeks with Brian. He is excellent with detail and always does my nails exactly how I like them done. I usually always go here to get my eyebrows done and I always get the same nice lady that works at the front counter but today I went and a lady named Mary or Macy did my eyebrows and it was extremely rushed and she ended up getting wax in my hair and left my hair extremely greasy and oily afterwards. They line the tub that you put your feet into with a type of plastic wrap & then take it out when there done; more sanitary. I went in on 1/25 to have my old set removed and a new full set put on. I called ahead to book an appointment for 3pm. I was on time but the salon was incredibly busy. I even offered to reschedule but was told that they could fit me in. I was passed between two techs that I found out were the owners. I had brought in a photo of simple nail art and they told me they couldn't do it. So I opted for a single color. The owner Brian put my set on and they were uneven, crooked, and he flooded my cuticles when painting and never cleaned them up. When it came to the top coat, it was incredibly thick and old. He used it anyway. Then put me under the nail dryer and left the shop with out waiting to see if I was done or needed anything. My husband ended up emailing the shop explaining all of this and we never got a response. Will never go back and had to go to another shop to get my nails fixed. It seems like if you're not a regular then they don't care about you. read more

I got a really great pedicure here from Andy. I brought my own SpaRitual polish because it's formaldehyde & toluene-free and vegan. They have Opi polishes there. It is very clean looking and they use pipe-less pedicure massage chairs. The biggest draw back in the very strong smell of nail polish remover and nail polish. They need a ventilation system to refresh the air. My toes look great and it only took 30mins and cost $25. I just feel bad for the people who have to work there and breathe in those toxic chemicals everyday. The state should regulate nail salons so that they are all equipped with proper exhaust and fresh air return for the health of staff and customers. read more

Walked in and was able to get mani/pedi immediately. My guess is that it is packed during winter months though & it might be better to make an appt. Place was clean, staff friendly, mani/pedi was good (lasted 4 weeks). They even have a little private area towards the back if you want to have a special nail day with family/friends. I always give me compliments first hand to managers, allowing them to share with their teams. In this case, I must compliment the owner. I stopped into Luxury Nails on a whim, having just had a haircut next door. They got me in for a quick manicure with no wait. I was very pleased with the service and clean facility. On my way out, the receptionist offered me to wait awhile as it was a terrible thunderstorm outside. Brian, the owner, came to the desk and offered to walk me to my car with an umbrella. I agreed, with many thanks. He took this excellent customer service even further to warn me of the slippery parking lot stripes as we walked out. There is nothing more impressive, and important than an owner, or manager who demonstrates the service they expect their associates to give. Brian has set the bar very high by living these values. This place was awful. The nail tech was very rude. I told him I like short and his response was, "what you want nothing there?". I asked for the owner and he was too busy to help while he walking around doing nothing. Not cool. Then proceeded to charge me for a full price pedicure knowing I was unhappy. I had probably the best pedicure here that I've ever had and I get pedis every month. A young man did my pedi and I had the BEST leg massage ever....a 3 parter, once with a scrub and then twice with different lotions. My nails were nicely shaped and the polish was perfect. I went in with the intention of making appointments for my husband and myself since we had our [small] dog with us and it was too hot to leave him in the car. Taking the plunge with acrylic nails... So, after a horrible nail experience 10+ years ago at a different establishment, I am attempting to take the plunge again. I came into Luxury Nails right after getting off work and arrived at the reception desk (without appointment) at 6:30pm. They close at 7:00pm but I was told that they would go ahead and take me on to get a full set of acrylic nails. I was directed to a station and offered a nice chilled glass of wine. The nail technician cut my natural nails and glued the acrylic on. He then proceeded to add the filler on top. I knew that this was going to be the difficult part for me as the thickness is so different from a natural nail. When they dried I could feel the weight difference and I started to panic a bit. Then a young lady came and did the color on my new acrylic nails. I understood that it was getting late and could see the results of that in the rush job. So, as I was sitting at the drying station I observed a sign from the owner and master technician; Brian, saying that "if you are not absolutely happy with your nails, I truly want to know and will fix it free of charge". As I was reading, Brian came up to me and I guess he could see that I was not completely satisfied. He said that he specialized in clients that are particular. Well, I felt no insult in this because I do indeed know what and how I like things done. He then asked if I would give him the opportunity to fix the nails. At my acceptance, he proceeded to redo the nails almost from the beginning. Ladies, I am telling you that when I left that evening I had fantastic nails. I communicated my preferences and he delivered. It took time, and I left quite late, but it was worth it. So, for all you ladies out there that know what you want and notice the details, make an appointment with Brian. Tell him what you like and I strongly believe that he will deliver.
