Great smaller size Greek-Owned Diner that took over another diner that was in this space. On our visit we noticed immediately that the place was very clean. The staff are friendly, however if you get one of the staff who is part of the family that owns the place you may encounter some language difficulties communicating your wants or needs, for example asking for skim milk rather than regular for your coffee. Aside from these minor issues, the food is really quite good for diner fare. We (wife & I) went for breakfast and split the "Lumberjack" which was Thick Cut Challah Bread French Toast with two eggs and all the breakfast meats (bacon, Canadian bacon and sausage). We also ordered a side of home fries. The French Toast was exceptional, light and airy and had that hint of vanilla and cinnamon. The eggs were cooked exactly as requested (soft scrambled). The breakfast meats were good however its a matter of personal taste here - my wife likes the bacon soft as it was served, I prefer it more crispy. The Canadian bacon was quite good, not salty at all. The sausage was only one small link and It was somewhat dry and overcooked. Overall, though It was good. Great service! Awesome Lynbrook burger. (I had mine with Cheddar instead of Swiss) The coffee & tea came in deep cups. And the fries were crips, but the onion rings were just...awesome! Not greasy & very crisp. Very reasonable prices. Will be back. Want to try the organic chicken dishes & veggie stir-fry. They were able to accommodate my food allergies (fish, sunflower). There is fish on their menu & you need to check with your server to institute an allergy free dining experience. read more

This place must pack out on the weekends...I don't know, been here for breakfast 2 days in a row Tuesday and Wednesday. Stopped by Lynbrook Eats on a whim. Ordered the cheeseburger deluxe with added bacon, avocado and Swiss. The grade of beef used is too notch, the bacon crisp and the avocado perfectly ripe. Starving, worked all day- just needed to eat. Remembered seeing this spot on Merrick. So glad we went there tonight. The proportions of each of our orders was huge and tasty. Our server Nicole was an absolute delight. We had dinner but I will definitely check it out for breakfast as I routinely meet friends for breakfast on any given Sunday. Parking is not the best(too many driveways & no parking lot), but we walked up the block to it in the rain and it was well worth it! The side salad that came with the shrimp parm was dinner size. My family and my friend went here for breakfast. The place was practically empty. It took approximately 30 minutes to get our food. The home fries were bland and under cooked. The toast was hard and cold. My suggestion - go to the McDonald's down the road. At least there the food is fresh and hot. read more

Had the opportunity to have a couple of meals since they opened and each time the food has been way beyond my expectations and the service was good as well. I had breakfast the first time, lunch the second and the last time in I tried the broiled fish (Bronzinj) which was out of this world! I've eaten at New York City resteraunts who's food doesn't compare to Lynbrook Eats... I was quite impressed and I now have a spot to eat at everytime I'm in the area! It was a Saturday afternoon in the summer, not busy at all in the diner. My friend and I walked in for a nice lunch. I ordered Mozzarella sticks and french fries, my friend ordered breakfast food: eggs, sausage, etc. NOT EVEN 5 MINUTES INTO MY MEAL, the waitress brings me the check.. I felt so rushed. I literally ate one mozz stick, and maybe a handful of fries.. My friend was in the middle of telling me a story and the waitress placed the check on the table. Mind you, my soda glass was empty (she didn't ask to refill, or anything) . So I kindly called her back over and asked for a to-go tray. She brought it swiftly and I paid for the food and went straight to the manager who apologized...but I will never go to this place again. However, my sister swears by it. I think the owners are a piece of crap.. makes me wonder if they have even owned any other businesses. between the old man and the bald man, I can't figure out whom owns this place. I asked about a price on something that I did not see on the menu, so I was told $2.50 for an egg on a hamburger, but I found it in the menu and stated that it was $1.00 to add so when I confronted the mgr/owner I was told that that's what the price is and that is what I will pay considering that it is a $1.50 difference. so, no wonder you have no business coming in. you need to learn what you are charging before you decide to open a place of business... on another note, why would you let your employees to handle food items with bare hands and no gloves. eeewwww gross. this place is not sanitary by their employee's. Overall overpriced underwhelmed and expect better from a long island suburban diner which incidentally, this is not its more like a coffee shop or donut shop. Paid a hefty price for a pork souvlaki that was short on pork and that which was in it was not well seasoned or flavorful. Waitress was pleasant. Place is quite small and is a bright room so you tend to hear way too much of what people nearby are saying. In fact we moved from one end of this place to the other rather than to have three shared conversations going on at once. Seriviceable iif you need a quick workday lunch or breakfast as in coffee shop but to go w friends or family for a "meal" its long island and likely you have a car so drive somewhere bigger better and probably not more expensive.. We ate here for the first time since it was the metro diner. The food is good. It was nice to see one of the workers there that was at the old diner. We had eggs that ok but the home fries need some more flavor like missing some onions or something. What looks like the owner hangs out behind the counter and should introduce himself to the patrons for it is a new business in the town. Lunch is somewhat pricey for the food quality. Otherwise a good breakfast spot. Miss the Metro but will give you another chance. read more

The staff greeted us as we entered. Everyone was very friendly, especially our waitress, Nicole. The menu had an array of food choices, prices being typical for a diner. The quality of the food, however was great! For diner food, I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the spinach pie which came with rice and a Greek salad. This brand new diner looks great and it falls into the category of a fine diner. I normally only eat breakfast at diners, but this diner is a great place to have lunch and dinner at. I live in Forest Hills, but my business takes me to the town right before it (Valley Stream) so I make my way there for a bite if I don't have to rush back to my office. My favorite is the Reuben Burger which comes with Pastrami , Saurkraut & American Cheese, the super crispy and tasty onion rings, and the most delicious coke slaw that I have tasted anywhere in years. Next is that Beef Stew that the owner's dad makes, I think once a week. It is simply scrumptious. I had just eaten moments before I walked in for a refreshment, and had to commit the sin of gluttony when I saw a patron enjoying his hearty dish. It was too hard to refuse, or to get it and then warm up later (not the same). And last but not least, the Roast Young Turkey with Stuffing is all-time favorite of mine there too. So yeah, if you are looking for a good, clean, and reputable diner that serves great food, Lynbrook Eats is the place to visit. Good luck. read more

Good looking place, clean and service is fine but my lunch was a little expensive. I had an omelet with bacon, sausage and ham and coffee $18.90. That's maybe 2 or 3 eggs and couple ounces of meat, crazy. I really can not recommended this place when I could have had much bigger meal for $20. read more

his place is a hidden gem use to come here when it was the metro and only because of the staff and the cheap prices. but when i went back the decor was updated (which it need) and was done beautifully and was spotless.
