    Grilled pork banh mi
    Lore M.

Cool shop, they have grab and go's and decent amount of seating. Nice service. I normally get chicken banh mi but tried the grilled pork banh mi and yea regretted my decision. The bread was perfect and they loaded it up with fresh veggies but the grilled pork was not good at all it was dry and hard and very fatty, i picked all the meat out, luckily they barley put any meat. I will stick with my normal order next time.

This is one of the best Vietnamese sandwiches store in this area . It has been there for over 20 years . Food are good but the interior is kind of worn out . # 1 sandwich is my favorite with combination of ham , head cheese , pate , pork roll and vegetables. They will grill the French bread and then give it to you . The Stoe opens at 8 am . Many people comes early for their breakfast and lunch before then into work . They also have different kinds of lunch boxes ( grilled chicken , char sou pork , shrimp , etc ) and a few Vietnamese food items for selection. Service is fast and convenient. Love to come here for to go food .

legit sardine banh mi, fresh and well proportioned

Big space for a banh mi shop, like lots of plastic table seating much like a fast-food Viet Noodle shop like Tung Kee. (Maybe it was once, not sure?). They also have pho but never tried, just looks too fast food for me. If I'm gonna do a pho outing, Imma do a joint that's known for it. But this place is more known for their banh mi, so that I do support. I'm not a reg but I have probably been in here at least 10 times, but just never reviewed it. I think it is because I basically get the same things here, and it is so basic and routine that it was kinda hard for me to draft something up. Now is the time. Cafe Sua Da (Viet Iced Coffee) ($6ish/5*) Good Viet roasty coffee flavor with condensed milk/blend. Not as intense as getting this as a drip over a cup. Here it is slightly looser in texture, maybe even in flavor but the tradeoff is you get so much more. Which I don't mind as sometimes the authentic ones are just too thick and intense. I like it more iced coffee in texture, and here it is exactly that. I hate Viet Iced coffees where after 3 sips, then you're staring at a cup of ice. Womp womp. I'm giving them props here! #16 Cha Lua and Pate Combo Banh Mi ($7ish/4.5*) I don't think I've tried any other sandwich here cuz this one just hits so hard for me. So simple and so satisfying. They use torpedo shaped French rolls here, instead of baguette segments. It is perfectly crisp on the outside yet super tender and light inside. They toast it a bit, so optimal eating is right away, but I often eat the second half much later and it is still fine. Just more next level fresh when eaten within minutes of receiving. But I think that goes for almost all banh mi. The pork loaf is sliced thicker, and I just love the bouncy texture. To me it is basically a more homemade/ethnic version of bologna or mortadella. Just not as cured which I appreciate. And to pair this with a thick layer of pate (they don't skimp) is just a combo that I cannot deviate from. And of course, those rich meats are countered beautifully with their pickled veggies and jalapeno slices. I'm craving one now just reminiscing. They are pretty quick and friendly. And I'm always amused how there is a huge lottery station here. You can play numbers on any of the Lotto games or buy tickets through a vending machine. Eating and gambling, doesn't get more Vietnamese than that! Lol. Lemme buy in! Homage fiver.

    Party tray of eggrolls
    Code D.

This is my go to for party trays: eggroll, fried rice, banh beo, banh bot loc. Today I ordered a party tray of 25 pork eggrolls for pickup at 10am and they were yuuummmy! Crispy with an addicting meat filling flavored perfectly. Great balance of meat to veggie ratio. They're normally yummy, but today they were even more yum! I get a large container of their rich and comforting chicken broth to go. I use it for making soups instead of the using can chicken broth. Service here is fast, on time, and friendly.

Solid banh mi for the sub $9 price. I usually get the thit which is close to the dac biet at other places. When I first got it I was worried that it was small or too much bread, but as I ate it, I realized that it's pretty loaded with the fixings. Would come again to this hole in the wall banh mi shop.

    Beef stew (take out)
    Cin-Yee S.

Even though this is primarily a banh mi shop and Vietnamese deli, I have to thank Yelpers for letting me about the beef stew with egg noodle here. One of the tastiest versions I have ever had with tender beef and cartilage and perfectly seasoned broth. $16/bowl. Haven't had other items, so this review is just for this wonderful dish.

Grilled pork & BBQ pork Banh mi
    Nancy P.

Stopped by early Sunday morning to pick up some Banh mi's before our hike. The lady working the front was very friendly and helped us as soon as we walked in. Banh mi's came out warm and fresh! (though didn't get to enjoy it fresh as we brought it on our hike. They were still amazing) They were generous with the meat and ESPECIALLY the veggies, which I love! Enjoyed the sauce a lot too and it gave the sandwich lots of flavor. The bread was on the softer/fluffier side than flaky which I honestly prefer, as the roof of my mouth was still perfectly in tact after eating these. The grilled pork was super tasty and tender as well as the red BBQ pork too. As you can see in photo, we were so excited and dug into the sandwiches immediately before I got a chance to take a photo! Would definitely come again and recommend this spot for quick Banh mi's.

avocado smoothie & 19. banh mi w korean beef
    Su T.

I HIGHLY recommend getting their avocado smoothie it's my absolute favorite. I get it all the time! The way they make it is so delicious and creamy, the flavor of avocado not overpowering but the perfect sweet blend and texture! Their banh mi and assorted ready-to-eat plates they leave out are cheap, pretty tasty, and very convenient, however I haven't tried their actual dishes. Usually pretty busy during lunch hours and the staff are sweet/hospitable! The interior is spacious and I like how the seats are separated from where people order and get to-go meals. Keeps it really organized and less suffocating during rush hours. Recently got their Banh Mi and I chose Korean Beef as protein but it was very dry and crumbly. It lacked in flavor and wasn't very appetizing. For a restaurant with an emphasis on their sandwiches, this reflects my rating due to my most recent experience.

Similar to the Huong Lan in San Jose. Bread is the larger baguette type that is flakey and a bit too crumbly for me, but still a solid sandwich nonetheless. $15 for an ice coffee and a pretty big sandwich. Decent deal.

    Shrimp spring rolls
    A T.

First time ate at Huong Lan, more so since I had planned on only stopping by to pickup Vietnamese coffee after a long work shift. Last minute mind change and sat with my fam to try their food. Lady who acknowledged us as we entered and helped us very polite and seemed nice, I felt good energy from her. Restaurant itself looked clean and well stocked, nice and tidy! Coming to my point and to say absolutely LOVED what we ordered so here is the breakdown. Goi cuan (shrimp spring rolls) with peanut sauce 7/10 Com da ga (fried chicken with house rice and salad) comes with a sauce. So yesss!!! 9/10 it was deeelicious Ga xa xiu (bbq chicken sandwich) 9/10 (I want to mention, we received our meal within 10-12 mins of ordering, fresh and cooked well.) My son ordered strawberry smoothie 10/10 Vietnamese coffee 10/10 Will def be going back for more bbq sandwiches and of course their pho.

    Jack R.

A big meh. Their seafood soup had no flavor. The shrimp may look nice, and the broth looks red, but honestly no flavor. The thai iced tea tasted strange and I got sick afterwards. Maybe stale milk? The beef pho broth is watery and the meat is very chewy. This is cheap pho and you know it. Drinks have too much ice, and service is slow. The spring roll wasn't fresh....the shrimp was mushy so I removed it. You get what you pay for.

    Ham Sandwich

This review is for the sandwiches and my family members happen to go to this location to buy them. They're pretty cheap to buy though. It's most likely because they use less ingredients and that's based off what my friend told me. It's usually everywhere wherever you go to a Vietnamese restaurant to get some of them. I didn't get a chance to go inside but I would imagine that it's typically an ordinary atmosphere and nothing really special. Perhaps they may have serve other items to get rather than the sandwiches themselves

#1 Phở Dặc Biệt to go.
    Tien T.

My son and I came in craving for banh mi and smoothies. When we walked in we were so shocked how spacious it was and luckily for us it wasn't too busy. The employees were nice and helpful. The food was delicious we got a variety of items. There was so many choices, we ended up grabbing a combo pho, spicy Korean chicken sandwich, grill pork sandwich, steam pork sandwich, chicken rice porridge, pork rice rolls, steam pork bun, grill chicken thigh rice plates, mocha shake, mango shake, & of course Vietnamese ice coffee. Everything was delicious and exceeded our expectations.
