I've tried their San Jose location before and wanted to check out this new location. I ordered the P1. Combination Beef Pho, which comes with tender beef cuts and fresh noodles. Their pho was phenomenal; the broth was fragrant and rich. The beef was flavorful, juicy, and tender. And I found out they use Harris Ranch Angus beef, which explains why the meat tasted so good. I also ordered the A7. Ha Noi Special Rolls, a combination of spring rolls, chargrilled pork rolls, and Viet pork sausage rolls. The rolls were decent, with a nice variety of flavors and textures, but the pho was definitely the highlight of the meal! read more

Consistently solid pho and one of my go-to spots when I'm craving Vietnamese food in Fremont. I always get the combo beef pho (#1), which comes with generous portions and plenty of meat. I stumbled upon another Pho Ha Noi location. This one is located next to Market Broiler, Five Guys, Dish N Dash, etc. The parking lot is large, so you shouldn't have an issue finding a spot. Walking in, you can use their revolving door or traditional door. But once you step inside, it seems to be grander than their other locations. They have a large bar area and options to dine inside or outside in their patio area with shade and heat lamps. They have separate multi-user men and women's restrooms. They were closing during the period between 3pm to 5pm, so I only ordered a drink. My usual of Vietnamese Ice Coffee. It was bold, strong, like you'd expect. My mom and I actually prefer this location over the one in San Jose. The atmosphere here feels much more relaxed and laid-back, making it a more enjoyable place to sit down and enjoy a meal. The service was decent, although you'll probably need to flag down a server if you need to place another order, ask for extra sauces, or get the check. They weren't very proactive, but they were helpful once we got their attention. One thing I really appreciated was that the pho arrived HOTTT--exactly how pho should be. There's nothing worse than lukewarm broth, so this was definitely a plus. The only downsides were the seating and space. Our table was a little wobbly, which made eating a bit annoying, and the dining area felt a little tight. We had our son's stroller with us, and maneuvering through the restaurant wasn't the easiest. I wish there were just a bit more room between the tables for families with strollers. Overall, it's a solid spot when you're craving a comforting bowl of pho. We were on the way back to the city from Brentwood when we decided to grab some lunch here at Pho Ha Noi. I've been to other locations before so it wasn't our first rodeo with this establishment. We waited about 5-10 minutes on a Sunday. We were seated in a booth with 3 adults + toddler. My husband I both ordered the grilled pork vermicelli although we wanted the Bun Cha but they told us it was sold out. Bummer! The waitress recommended this one as the closest choice to the Bun Cha. Overall the food was good and I don't think it was anything special with this dish to be honest. The grilled pork was cooked well and tasted just the way it should be. Service is good and attentive. Came here on Mother's Day for lunch before 12pm. Wait time was short. Only 5 min or so. The ambiance is so nice and I wasn't expecting it. The service was quick , a bit too rushed since during the first 5 min being seated, servers came asked us if we were ready to order for 5 times! It was our first time there and we needed more time to look over the menu but they kept coming back and asking if we were ready. I order a pho and it was within 5 min! My daughter wanted tamarind shrimp but was sold out. So she got the roasted chicken and crust sticky rice . The chicken was good abut the sticky rice was too crispy for my daughter. We always make it a point to stop by this place whenever we're in the area, and it never disappoints. Yesterday, it was raining almost the entire day, so on our way home we decided to grab dinner here--and it turned out to be the perfect choice for the weather. The pho was incredibly comforting, especially on a cold, rainy day. The broth was rich, flavorful, and clearly simmered with care. The beef was exceptionally tender--so soft that it was practically falling off the bone without any effort. It made the whole bowl feel even more satisfying. I think this is the best Pho Ha Noi location in the South Bay, in my opinion. The portions are great for what we pay for!!! The side soup is quite large for what it is - which I'm not complaining, probably the thing that caught my eye immediately. The food is also incredibly tasty. Pho soup is clean and delicious. We started off with the garlic and fish sauce chicken wings. The smell of fish sauce was more potent than I was expecting relative to other fish sauce chicken wings I've tried. I've grown up eating fish sauce and fish sauce chicken wings, but for some reason, I couldn't eat more than one because of how overpowering the sauce was. I requested spring rolls with only shrimp (no pork). The peanut sauce was a hit with the table! For my entree I ordered the rotisserie chicken. I love the crispy skin on the chicken. I ordered it with the xoi (sticky rice) that's fried crispy. I loved the texture of the fried sticky rice. It was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The chicken meat however was quite dry. I've had this dish at their San Jose location and never had any issues with the chicken being dry, so it really caught me by surprise. Pho Ha Noi is expanding quickly but I fear their food quality is not as high as their San Jose location. At least on the night that I visited. read more

I got the bun bo hue with the 1lb beef. The beef was super tender and delicious. The bun bo hue was pretty good as well and the portion was huge for the price. Came with two large chunks of tender, meaty, fatty short ribs. However somewhat odd and annoying was there wasn't enough noodles... Probably half what you'd expect when ordering noodle soup and all gone way before you're full or done with the meat. So I had to wait and order an extra side of noodles, which is a distraction and added cost. And oddly the Side of noodles was Much bigger than the portion that it comes with(?). And the bowl was as-big or bigger than the pho bowl since they use those tricky conical shaped bowls. (If anyone's seen the martini glass experiment, a cone shape is used to reduce the volume needed to give while appearing more full) Anyways, it was a good tasty meal but imbalanced. First time trying this place and it was pretty good! They have good portions and each bowl came with lots of meat. There wasn't too much of a wait for lunch over the weekend, maybe about 5-10mins. We ordered some pork eggs rolls, short rib pho, and rare steak, flank, and brisket pho. We got the fresh noodles since we wanted to try something different. It is wider than the typical rice noodles and personally, I prefer to regular rice noodles. The fresh boodles were a bit too soft for my liking or maybe it was an overcooked. Egg rolls were super crispy and hot on the inside. They also gave out free pandan waffles to all the customers. The staff don't really provide much service. This is my second time at Pho Ha Noi, and it still does not disappoint! This time and last time, there was always a table ready for my party of four. No matter how musy the place was, we never had to wait! The decor of the restaurant is very comfortable and inviting, perfect for families to dine at. We ordered the Hanoi special rolls, 1 pound short rib pho, and a Roasted Kui Fei Chicken with Egg Noodle. The Hanoi special rolls are my personal favorite, being able to try the different spring rolls. Though the dish has three different rolls, there is enough of each roll to share! The 1 pound short rib pho will never let you down. They serve it in a great portion and the warm, rich, broth makes it a comfort food for me. Always a great option when you don't know what to order. The Kui Fei chicken was too greasy for me, but the egg noodles had a great. bouncy texture. Not undercooked, not overcooked. Loved how there were more protein than carbs. The staff kept forgetting to get us our bill, probably because the place was so busy. So, it took us a while to leave. I had the P7. 1LB BONE-IN SHORT RIB PHO and it was mostly very tender. The portion was large and comes out quickly and hot. There was also a surprise at the end - Panasas mochi waffles. These were delicious as well! At the end we were unsure how to pay. We had to ask a few different people since no one came after talking to the first person. Have you ever wanted to try premium grade pho, but at a fraction of the price? Well, look no further than Pho Ha Noi, especially at their newly opened Fremont location (which opened up just a few months ago)! They now occupy the former P.F. Chang's (before they closed, of course). The hospitality at Pho Ha Noi will honestly blow you away, and so are the different selections of meat and Vietnamese delicacy drinks as well. From Ca Phe to just literally milk tea, there's a lot you can choose from when it comes to drinks -- and best of all, they're actually cheap compared to the other pho places that I've been to. I also loved the ambiance that was in the restaurant too: very cozy and homey. Food-wise, I ordered the Pho Combination with Beef and Tripe. The fun fact about that is: did you know that the beef stock is actually cooked fresh, seasoned fresh, and made with lots of love? I love the texture of the egg noodles, as it was absolutely al dente and very textural. In terms of the hospitality and customer service, we were greeted by people who worked at the front desk. I've been to Pho Hanoi in San Jose many times over the years. It's definitely not the best pho, but we used to go because my partner likes their chicken pho. Personally, I've never been a big fan for a few reasons. I understand they serve northern-style pho, and I've had good northern pho before, so the style itself isn't the issue. One major downside is how strict they are about customizations. They don't allow any changes at all. For example, I like bun bo hue but prefer eating it with pho noodles, and they won't allow that even if you're willing to pay extra. They also don't offer nuoc beo (scallion oil), which I like adding to my broth. The only item I consistently enjoy here is their nem nuong rolls. Service at the San Jose location has usually been fast and fine. Recently, we tried their newer Fremont location after not going to the San Jose one for a few years since we moved to the East Bay. The Fremont location is beautiful inside, but unfortunately the food was noticeably worse than what we remembered from San Jose. I ordered the short rib bun bo hue. The broth was very under-flavored. I asked for sate chili oil to make it spicier, and they brought out a strange sauce and said it was sate. I'm Vietnamese and know what sate is, and this looked more like sriracha mixed with gochujang, with no oil or depth. The only good part of the dish was the short rib itself, which was tender. My partner ordered the chicken pho, which is usually the one thing that keeps us coming back. Even that was disappointing this time. The broth was bland and lacked the flavor we remembered from the San Jose location. Pho Hanoi really emphasizes their meat quality, and it's something the owner, Helen, frequently mentions in Yelp responses. While I agree the meat itself is decent, her responses often come off defensive and passive aggressive, with no acknowledgment of feedback or accountability. Based on past responses, I'm honestly expecting an aggressive reply to this review as well. After this experience, we won't be returning to any Pho Hanoi locations. Between the decline in food quality and the way customer feedback is handled, it's not a place I feel good about supporting anymore. read more

Big fan of Pho Ha Noi, especially the OG spots in San Jose and Cupertino, so I was hyped when I saw they expanded across the Bay. Came in with high hopes but gotta say, this visit didn't fully hit. Pros: the vibe inside is great. Super warm, cozy, and way more upscale than you'd expect for a pho spot. Spring rolls were solid, and the BBQ pork in my vermicelli bowl had legit flavor. Also the crab egg roll was delicious. Service was efficient. Cons: the pho ga broth was missing that rich, umami depth I've come to love at the SJ location. Not bland, just... not the same. My partner took a sip and agreed. Spring rolls tasted good, but they came out looking a little messy, kinda thrown together. And the vermicelli bowl was a bit too noodle-heavy. Like 80% noodles, so the ratio felt off. Next time I'd ask for fewer noodles and more veggies. A personal preference, but still. I see the owner replying to people who say the broth is bland like me, and says this location focuses on quality of meat and low sodium/sugar broth. I don't see that advertised as such, so she probably needs to work on the marketing because the assumption is that you'll get something as good as the original location. There is plenty of parking because its in a shopping center, just know that the area can get crowded depending on when you come. This location is big, so much seating. We came in a weekday and it was not crowded that we didn't have to wait to get seated. There was plenty of people eating indoors. I didn't get the Pho, I know, I know, that is what this place is known for but they were out of a lot of things and it limited my choices. Therefore, I just got two orders of egg rolls. They were good and crispy but somehow the Palo Alto locations egg rolls just taste better. I don't know why. Service was great, very attentive and they have a robot that brings you drinks.
