They said I needed a new clutch and flywheel, and quoted $3,600, and wanted me to purchase the parts before schudling the service. Luckily I spent time asking other shops around town for quotes on this type of repair. Rene came back with the lowest quote by far. When I scheduled the repair, he did not ever request for me to prepurchase anything. I braced myself when Rene called me on the day of the repair. But to my surpise he said "we don't see anything wrong with this clutch". He test drove it, had another team member test drive it, and determined that any repair was unnecessary. I offered to pay him for the time and effort, but he would not charge me! In summary, Rene has earned my trust and will get all of my future repair business.

They took it in and concluded that we needed a new alternator. They replaced the alternator and we picked up the car. On the drive home, the car completely stopped working while I was driving downhill on Burnside. (Everything stopped working: radio, a/c, lights.) I was able to pull into a driveway before everything went out (it happened over the span of about 15 seconds). Even after I pulled into the driveway, I couldn't put the car in park, turn on the emergency brake, turn on hazards, etc. It was a very scary and unsafe position for me to be in. I called the auto shop and they said they couldn't get to me for half an hour, but they gave me a number to call for a towing service they work with. I called the number and the towing company couldn't get to me for an hour. I called back the auto shop and updated them on the situation. Someone from the auto shop came and took over holding down the brake in the car and waiting for the towing service. They then were able to take it back to the shop and they learned that there was a visible crack in the negative port of the battery and that is what was causing the problem. We decided to take the car home and fix the issue ourselves because it was actually a very simple thing to fix and we had lost trust in this auto shop. They did eat the costs of the new alternator and the towing service. But the fact that they didn't realize that the crack in the battery port thing was the problem before they put in a new alternator was very disappointing and if I didn't react faster, it could have put me and others in lots of danger. I will say the service was great. The people I talked to on the phone and at the auto shop were all very sweet and until my car stopped working, I was planning on giving them a 5-star review.

After calling Aotobahn and cofirming that they should be able to determine the problem within the minimum 30 minute diagnosis, I took the vehicle in. Within 1 hour, Sebastian called me back, and gave me the good new that it was not transmission, but a bad alternator. He then gave me estimated cost for the repair. Upon completion of the service, I received the invoice for significantly less than what I had agreed to. It took less time than the recommended labor hours and I benefited from their efficiency!! What a pleasant surprise. I now have a mechanic who I can trust and rely on...........a necessity for those of us who cannot do it ourself and own cars that are beyond the warranty period. Chris said he would do it for me and he would drop the car off in the O'Reilly parking lot after he was done (which is exactly what he did). I walked over to him and asked him how much I owed & he said nothing! NADA, Zilch! Wow, he did the work (headlight alignment) for free!

Worst experience I've had in my entire life. We found this mechanic, based off good reviews and one…read moreof the lower prices we were quoted we thought it was a slam dunk. Came in for a new transmission, broken AC and a leaking tire. Was told it would be a week, which sounds good as that was every time line we were told from other places we called. A week goes by and the parts still weren't in, again I mean that's just shipping and it happens, can't really blame the shop. After a week and a half they install the new transmission, but said there was something wrong so they kept working on it. Another week goes by and they say they need to order ANOTHER trans. At this point we are very frustrated as we needed this vehicle back 3 weeks ago. But I mean who knows what is really going on so we just hang tight. Finally, a MONTH later, we get a text that the trans was replaced and good to go but they didn't have time to fully fix the ac. Didn't have time? You had it for a month and decided until the last day to look at the AC. They replaced the blower motor but said they would have to take the whole thing out and didn't have time for it, so it was ultimately a temporary fix for a full charge. After asking for a price break down he gave us $150 off. Woopie after a $7,500 ordeal that didn't feel sufficient. They then charged our card for the second half of our bill after we explicitly said "we do not authorize this charge" and we also don't remember saying they could save the card on file..... if that wasn't all enough to make us never come back we then find out the tire was never fixed after it went flat on the road a few days later. To which the guy says "looks like I forgot" !!! Now the AC stopped working because again it was never actually fixed in the first place. Truly unacceptable from start to finish. They clearly do not care about doing a good job and just want your money. He asked us multiple times to pay the remaining balance before we even picked up the vehicle or had any work done. Avoid at all costs.
