Our 14 y/o hot water heater sprug a leak! We called M.E. flow to diagnose as we'd seen their trucks in the neighborhood. They were able to send a guy same day to come take a look and they send you a picture of your technician so you know who to expect. Our heater was not repairable (and 14 years is end of life anyway) so they wrote us an invoice for replacement, which they were able to do next day! My only dock for a star is that the heater they installed was not the same as the one on the quote - hubs did some considerable research after the fact and it seems comparable, but it still feels a bit misleading. read more

M.E. Flow charged me $49 to diagnose my AC, a 2018 Trane, on Monday and quoted a compressor replacement at $6,000. On Thursday morning I told them I would be paying out of pocket and asked them to move forward. From that point there was nothing to wait on. In 100 degree heat heading into the July 4th weekend, I called repeatedly and could not get a single return call. Thursday at 6:30 I called to order the part and schedule installation. No callback. At 10:40 I called and asked for a manager. None was available. I was told the scheduler was out and that a manager would call me back within 15 to 20 minutes to get me scheduled. No manager called. At 13:00 I called again and was told my request would go to all managers. No one called. Friday at 10:20 I called and said I would take my business elsewhere without a callback. No one called. I took it elsewhere. The second company found the compressor was fine. The actual problem was a coolant leak, which they repaired, coolant included, for $580. So $629 all in solved what M.E. Flow quoted at $6,000, and even ready to pay in full I still couldn't get them to return a phone call. I can't recommend them. read more

ME Flow is a dishonest company. We purchased a labor agreement through them when they installed a Lennox system. They claimed not to have any record of that and tried to charge us for labor. They had repeated service calls each time finding something different so they could continue to charge us labor. The final straw was when they tried to charge us $3000 to recharge our system after performing warranty service. I had to chase down the labor agreement on file with Lennox. ME Flow was just trying to milk this for as much money as they could get. A completely dishonest company and it's sad because we have bought three systems from them over the years. I would NEVER recommend this company. The absolute WORST communication. This is actually my first negative review for anything on yelp; I have never felt the need to do one until my experience with M.E. flow. I have had 3 appointments now that they either failed to show up at the designated time or failed to show up AT ALL! I work from 5pm-1am. I schedule morning appointment windows (8-noon) because I have to leave the house by 4pm. Understandably, it is hard for me to wake up at 8am after working late. I'm frustrated because I keep waking up early for them to never show up and then I have to be the one to call and ask where they are. One time is unfortunate, but understandable. But 3 times?! 1st time) Guy never showed up (8-12). I called after noon to ask about an update. Secretary said they would call me back and that the representative would call me 30 minutes before he came. Neither of them called, I just got a ring at my doorbell at 3:50pm. Ended up being late to work that day. Had to reschedule that appointment because they sent out an electrician instead of the plumber I requested. He couldn't fix the problem and I was charged a little over 40 dollars. 2nd time) Guy never showed up (8-12). I called again to ask about an update. Secretary said they see my appointment and will call their tech to ask his whereabouts. That they will call me back soon for an update. No call. At 3:45pm I call them and a new woman answers who says she sees my appointment is on the computer for Tuesday. This is crazy because I would NEVER sign up for a Tuesday! I have school stuff from 6:30am-7:30pm. Which means they switched it after they couldn't make my original appointment and didn't even call to ask me? Anyways, I get my appointment rescheduled for specifically the 8-9am window a week later. 3rd time) Guy never showed up (8-9). I really just hoped he was running late. Secretary calls me around 10am to let me know he is sick and they need to reschedule. She tells me the electrician will come out the next day to which I inform them that I keep requesting a plumber so I don't know why an electrician keeps getting put in the computer. Obviously I'm frustrated with this whole experience. I work in customer service -- so I would consider myself extremely patient. I didn't even want to put the names of the employees I talked to because I understand the feeling of having a lot on your plate, and forgetting to call someone back. I've never had such terrible communication from a company; I'm literally trying to pay you for a service. I would have went with a different company by now but the reason we had these appointments set up in the first place is for them to fix our washing machine that mysteriously stopped working the same exact day they did plumbing work in our home. TLDR: Do not contract with M.E. Flow. I worked with them for over 2 months to fix my HVAC unit, but they charged me over $2,000 and then abandoned me after their "repairs" did not resolve the issue. --- October 30: ME Flow is scheduled to come out to run diagnostics on my unit. They rescheduled their arrival time, then canceled the appointment. November 5: ME Flow runs diagnostics and determines that a new thermostat is needed. They replace the thermostat, charge me $900, and determine my unit is fixed. November 7: After replacing the thermostat, the unit is still not functioning properly. ME Flow assigns a new technician, who determines that a senior technician needs to review the unit. November 10: A new technician arrives to perform diagnostics on the unit. The technician identified a new issue with the unit and provided a quote of $1,700. November 17: Another technician arrives to address the newly identified issue. He cannot resolve the issue, stating that the fix will require two technicians. November 20: Yet another technician arrives on his own and is unable to complete the repair, stating that two technicians are required. December 9: ME Flow sends out two technicians to complete the repair. The technicians complete the repair and charge $1700 for the job. December 11: Two days after the second job was completed, my HVAC unit continues to function improperly (running primarily on Auxiliary heat and nonstop). ME Flow sends another technician, who states that it is "just cold outside" and that the unit is functioning correctly. Later that day, I had an HVAC technician from another company in the area run diagnostics on my unit, who confirmed the heat pump was not operating correctly. December 12: ME Flow sends out another technician after I inform them of the second company's diagnostic test. The technician confirmed the heat pump is malfunctioning and said I would receive a callback from the company the next day. As of December 26, I have not received the promised callback from ME Flow, and the company has charged me over $2,000 for repairs despite the unit still being dysfunctional. read more

M.E. Flow took over the contract on our whole house generator when the original company went out of business. We have a yearly maintenance contract with them, renewed yearly. Our generator has failed at least three times since then, taking out air conditioning in the summer when we were away and jeopardizing our parrot with 82 degree temperatures indoors. in December the red light went on during the first 32 degree day. i researched and found we needed a cold weather kit installed during cold weather( why did they not warn us?) and paid for the part and installation. That was 13 days ago. Since then it has been a daily saga. : they will try to come before the big snow. Did not happen. They will try to come the next week. I cancelled physical therapy and numerous other appointments to be here for the paid for installation. It was guaranteed by today. Just got a call. Another three days. I have to cancel more appointments ... meanwhile we are 78 and disabled, and need a working generator. Bottom line: I have been afraid of losing power with a non working generator for 13 days, and cannot sleep properly. A reminder: the work has been paid for since last week. read more

June 10, 2025: They called me at 10:19 AM to cancel on the day of the appointment. June 24, 2025: They sent a text at 7:17 AM--again, same-day cancellation. No apology. No urgency. Just a shrug and "we'll reschedule you... for July 9." Really? It takes a month to fulfill a contract I already paid for? They apparently prioritize emergency calls--which is great if you're an emergency. For everyone else? You're just a name on a list they shuffle around when convenient. I've mailed them a formal written complaint for breach of contract and failure to render services. Do not waste your money or your time. I discovered a leak in upstairs shower/tub drain due to shoddy work by previous plumber(s). I hired M.E. Flow to identify the source and fix the leak. Walter visited to assess the problem. He scheduled the repairs with an associate when the ordered part(s) arrived. Walter's work was very professional. He removed the pipe that was the source of the leak and clearly showed me from the removed pipe the crack that was the root of the water leak. The newly installed pipe and tub fixtures were beautifully done. I was very pleased. So much so, I asked Walter and his associate for a return visit to perform the plumbing work needed to move my laundry room to it's future location in the basement. Thank you! read more

On June 12 2025 M.E. Flow installed a new attic HVAC system to replace existing HVAC system - cost of over $16,500. It was improperly installed: damaged/cut roof truss, improperly installed UV air-scrubber, improperly installed AprilAire purifier (unit not centered), poor duct work reinstall, never changed out the original bottom drainage pan, etc. They never returned phone calls, txts, or emails once there is an issue. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. I had them replace my pressure tank 2 years ago. The tank recently started to go bad. We called them and were told they only guaranteed it for a year. We called the manufacturer about the problem and we were told that the pressure tank we have is guaranteed for 7 years. We could bring the tank to our local distributor and they would replace it. M.E. flow wanted to charge me $3,600 to replace our tank and return the bad tank for a new tank. What a scam read more

My story is unfortunately a common one these days for ME Flow. 1) They missed my appointment on a Sunday and didn't call me until 6pm to tell me. 2) When I tried to reschedule, an incompetent person answered and scheduled me for 2 months out when there was availability in 2 days. 3) Finally, when they came, the amount of upsell was off the charts. They said I needed a new $12k system and $2k of work on the other system. They just so happened to have a guy right down the road to sell the new system and tried to close me right then and there. I got a second opinion; I showed everything they said, he said NOTHING is wrong. After we were done w the 2nd opinion I found out there's new owners, and my techs friend who works there said they are very pressuring about upsells and system replacements to techs. We've been regular ME Flow customers for HVAC and, later, plumbing services for years. But no more. I believed the tech they sent when, during an annual plumbing inspection, he said we needed to replace the water heater. But they charged me $4000 for a new WH that I can buy at retail for $1818! (This is even for the overkill 'Commercial Grade' they put in for a three-person household). I was rushing to get ready for an overseas trip and foolishly signed the order for that and other work - because I trusted Flow. That was a mistake, as I found out after I got back and began investigating after a disappointing service call. They also installed two new bathroom faucet sets whose style was completely out of line with our mid-Century modern interior. (I asked the tech to supply the faucets, but he never consulted me on style, let alone showed me a catalogue.) After I complained, they gave me a refund for only half of the faucet expense. And despite my calls about the water heater overcharge, the return call from "Mr. Raul," promised by the customer service reps, never came. I then disputed the charge with my credit card bank, but they 'ruled' in Flow's favor, presumably because I signed that stupid order. I got burned for trusting these people but never again. Too bad because the HVAC service has been generally good, if expensive. read more

Called them, and they scheduled a visit the same day---unfortunately this had to be changed to the following day by them due to a mixup at their offices. A technician was there the next morning, but the cost was high to snake the bathroom sink pipe ($500+), and there was no warranty on the work. The technician didn't give my wife an invoice--I had to call the office to get one sent. The disclaimers on the invoice are some 4 pages long. Doesn't seem to be the best company to call to snake a stubborn drain. read more

The worst repair service ever! I had a water leak in my kitchen. The M.E. Flow repairman arrived and within 5 minutes it was clear he had no idea how to make the repair on my dishwasher. After talking to himself and "repairing" the dishwasher for an hour, he left. When I went to use my dishwasher it continued to leak and when I opened the door it fell apart. I called M.E. Flow and they sent a "seasoned" plumber to my house, he pulled the dishwasher out and within 5 minutes said it could not be repaired and it needed to be replaced. I purchased a new dishwasher and had it installed by Home Depot (they were great!) and I had no further issues with leaking. M.E. Flow invoiced me for $407 without making a repair. I have called M.E. Flow twice and went to the office in Leesburg to explain that the repair was never made. No one will return my call. So to recap, they could not make the repair, they were very good at billing the "repair" that never happened, and their customer service is horrible. read more

We were using another company for years and became unhappy with them for the past few years so we tried another company we thought might be good. So we went with ME Flow big mistake. Soon as the repairman Victor walked in and my wife told him it was in the attic he said vehemently he was not doing it and complained about a prothesis he had which seems after talking to another tech and manager sounds dubious to them as well. All he did was bitch about it then when he finally did go up to look at it he them bitched about the space to work in. In over 35 yrs and 3 new heat pumps and service in the same space not one other tech bitched about the space except him. Problem was he had a big gut and could not handle it. Then he did get the system running but never fixed it we had another tech come back the next day to change the part and no complaints at all from him and a very pleasant person. I even asked about the space and it was not an issue at all. Needles to say my wife called the service manager and he called back the next day. I happened to answer the phone and his name was Scott and he was a new manager. Well Scott was another regular jerk as was ovbious the way he handled things he was promoted without one idea how a service manager or any manager should handle things. So first service call as new customers with ME Flow was a diaster with Victor and Scott. I know as I was in a service organization for 35 years and ME Flow was a disgrace to the industry and would be to any service organization. If it was up to me Victor would be on the carpet with his attitude and to make things worse even the second tech and Scoot alluded to the fact Victor had a bad attitude and I would send Scott would have been sent back to a non managers position until he learned how to be a manager. read more

If I could have given them ZERO stars, I would have. They are liars and scammers. We needed our HVAC replaced and had done a little research about brands before having M.E. Flow come to give us an estimate. They said the only brand they offered was Lennox, and that concerned us because we had read that it was VERY loud. So we asked, are the reviews true? Is it loud? That liar stood right there, looked my 80-year-old Mom straight in the eye, and said, "It's completely silent. You could stand right next to it and not hear a thing." She trusted him and signed the contract. Guess what? This thing sounds like a leaf-blower, not to mention the VERY VERY loud banging every time it turns off or on. It wakes my Mom up over and over and over throughout the night. She has called M.E. Flow repeatedly trying to get them to fix it somehow, and they've never once returned a call. Taking advantage of ANYONE is a crime, but taking advantage of an elderly grandma? The whole bunch of them deserve to be in jail.​ read more

M.E. Flow was scheduled to show up at my home on April 28, 2025 for a prepaid A/C system inspection. I called on the morning of April 28 to verify that I was still on the schedule. The person who answered the phone told me that a technician was scheduled to arrive between noon and 5 p.m. on the 28th, most likely around 2 p.m. No one ever showed up, called or texted me. I called them back just after 5 pm. And asked to speak to a supervisor. They took down my name and number but no one has called me back. I called again on April 29 and April 30 and asked to speak to a supervisor and the receptionist told me that they would request a supervisor call me. M.E. Flow took $414.00 from me for prepaid service but failed to show up to perform the service and the supervisor did not call me back within a reasonable timeframe. I will not use their services again. It's unfortunate because my family has been using them for 20 years, but lately their customer service has declined greatly. read more

Will give two stars because they came out on a Sunday. However, the service technician offered no solutions other than to tell me the obvious, that the AC compressor was broken. He actually told me I should be calling the company that installed it. He offered me no options or solutions to get the unit working again. I was excited that ME Flow was able to send somebody out on Sunday to potentially help me. However, I doubt I'll call them again based on their technicians inability to do anything other than take my $120 show-up fee. ME Flow used to be our go-to. I've had a lot of work and equipment installed over the years from M E Flow and I generally would give them decent ratings but I had a situation that showed them at their worst during the multiple day snowstorm on Jan 31st. That Sunday morning we woke up to a cold house. Called M E Flow who we have a maintenance agreement with expecting we might have to wait but they'd arrive. They called me back after an hour or so and tried to talk me through checking a few things. It became obvious I would need a service call. That's when they told me they'd grounded all of their trucks and they wouldn't come out until the storm passed. I reminded them this was supposed to be a 2 to 3 day storm and I had NO HEAT and they said they were sorry about that. This despite this being very early in the storm and I went out in my car and drove around just fine. Their comment is all their vans weren't good in the snow. Gee, it's not like this area doesn't get snow I mentioned but no budging on their part. So, without heat, I reached out to another HVAC person I knew who drove 30 minutes in that weather and fixed it. Turned out to be an igniter that he said surprised him that since I'd had service only a couple weeks before they hadn't even mentioned would be good to replace on an 11 year furnace. But here's the thing, despite me calling them 3 times and the service area manager saying he'd follow up they still never called me back. Not about the fact they have no emergency service plan in place nor that they just serviced it and had no recommendations for replacing the igniter. This is despite that on the recent service call the guy sheepishly had to go through all the things he'd been told to try and sell me on as upgrade services to the point he apologized for having to go through them all. So, a word to the president of M E Flow, your company is judged by your quality of service and this was in no way good service. read more

The first time turning on our A/C this season, and I had to remove a faulty sensor that was removed 4 years ago, but reinstalled by the "technician" they sent. When I complained, the company offered a 5 percent discount on a service I did not want completed anyway. When I called, a very pleasant call center rep took my info and said she'd send over a note to the manager for a refund. Nothing happened, couldn't get past the call center to talk to any manager, ME Flow's response to my initial post notwithstanding. Company seems to have been ruined under Standard. Strongly recommend you go elsewhere for your HVAC needs. read more

Looks like I'm another victim of M.E. Flow's predatory processes. M.E. Flow was in my condo unit while I was not home at the request of my building's management company to fix an issue with a common element. While there, they advised that my water heater was missing some pvc piping causing carbon monoxide to leak into my home. (Please note that this is a water heater unit that was installed over a decade prior with no issues.) They were going to charge me $1,000 for about six inches of pvc pipe and 10 minutes of work and if I declined, they threatened to disable my water heater on the way out the door. I was forced to give into this demand and only after six months did they call me to discuss the scam and ultimately discounted the invoice by 50% even though it should have been 90% (given they were already there doing other work). M.E. Flow is not to be trusted. Their recommendations feel aggressive, and their pricing is exorbitant. read more

I do not recommend M. E. Flow. My furnace went out and I have a service contract with M.E. Flow. Have had one for many years. A technician named Danny came. Went to look at my furnace, came back with $600.00 worth of recommendations. I tried to find out what was actually needed rather than extra buy-ons. He would not tell me and I could not get a straight answer from him. He didn't speak english very well which also made it difficult to communicate. This also occurred the last time I called for service. He started to do some repairs and I kept trying to get information on what was actually needed. He then became extremely beligerant and very aggressive towards me. At that point I just wanted him out of my house and told him to just do the work and leave. After he left I did some research and figured out only about $200 was needed to make the repairs and get my furnace going. Although a customer for about 20 years I will never renew a contract or work with M. E. Flow again. The visit prior to this last one also resulted in me going to another company to complete the work. I never write reviews but my past 2 experiences with M. E. Flow have been so bad I feel it is important to warn others. read more
