She is obviously upset that I called her out for having her partner, who is either her husband or boyfriend and who is in "beauty school", dye hair. Please reconsider coming to Khan. She overbooked, dyed my hair incorrectly, and I had to leave the salon with wet hair and a wet shirt. Such a bad experience! I scheduled an appointment and specified I had to leave at a certain time for work. She agreed that the work could get done in time. What she failed to mention is that she booked 2 other people during my scheduled appointment! I'm not sure if it's because she tried to juggle too much, but she dyed my hair wayyy blonder than I wanted to :( when I told her I needed to go to work she tried to rush my toner process and even had her husband, who is not licensed to dye hair, take over. In that process he pulled hair and wet my shirt while washing my hair! She offered no resolution and when I told her today that I was unsatisfied with my hair, she just held firm that I wanted this... when I gave her the picture in the collage to look at MULTIPLE times during the session. I had an appointment today with Khan to get a haircut and I was not disappointed with the results. I wanted to get some layers back into my hair as I was trimming my own hair at home and haven't cut my hair in a salon since before the pandemic. I arrived early for my appointment and Khan let me sit for a bit till she was done with her client before me. She cut off my split ends and my hair felt so much healthier after it was done. Richie, did an amazing job on my hair the first time and this photo is the result of my second time there. I will be going back for a touch-up with my bleaching, toning, and haircut. The salon is very clean and that make the experience even better is the open natural light coming through the window, you can see exactly how your new hair color look like. If you don't want to read the whole review, there will be a TLDR at the bottom ‐----‐------‐--------- Let me start by saying that this is NOT some sort of advertisement and I was not asked to write this review or anything like at. This is as genuine as a review could possibly be. I don't often write reviews unless I am very emotionally effected by an experience- good or bad. This DEFINITELY qualifies. My experience: I had been having some self esteem issues and decided to take a day to do self care. I don't usually go to professionals for beauty stuff, but I have been using box die to die my naturally blonde hair jet black since I was 13. I'm 26 now. I only decided on going to this salon because it was literally across the street from where I was and it happened to be open. I am so grateful I did. Richie owns the salon and is the only one who works there. He provided me with one of the best costumer service experiences of my life... no.. the best.. He is so passionate about what he does and he has the kindest, most loving soul. I instantly felt so comfortable in his presence and just knew I could trust him with my hair. If you know anything about black box die, you know lightening your hair after using it and having it look even remotely decent is very difficult. I pretty much was expecting the worst, especially with as fried and thin as my hair is. Where do I even start? Here's a brief summary of all of the things that happened.. but I could never really capture the essence of why it was so amazing in a review. All I can tell you is - GO SEE THIS MAN. YOU WILL NEVER WANT TO GO TO ANYONE ELSE AGAIN AND YOU WILL THANK ME. I PROMISE. I didn't know exactly what I wanted, so I gave him some basic guidelines and said "I trust you. Do what you think will look best. " and he went to work. He put a lightener in my hair and while it was sitting, he gave me the most incredible neck and hand massage. He was trained how to do this in school and it felt so great. I would normally not be comfortable with a man giving me a massage because I've had bad experiences with men and I have a hard time trusting them. But we communicated and I just knew I could trust him and I'm so glad I did. After that the lightener was done he rinsed my hair and did what I think he called a scalp treatment where he did this massage type thing to my scalp and put some sort of product in it and it felt so good. He put some treatments on my hair that made it so soft and full and then he got to work with the cutting and styling. The whole time we were having great conversation where he was telling me about his life and how he's here working his butt off to be able to send money back home to Cambodia to support his family. He used to be a freaking physics teacher and is so passionate about teaching and helping people. Listening to him talk about all the things he is super passionate about and how much he cares about people was so heart warming and such a rare treat. You don't meet people like him often. Oh I forgot to mention...HE HANDLES HIS SCISSORS LIKE A FREAKING NINJA AND IT IS SO COOL! He is a pro and could basically cut your hair with his eyes closed and do a great job. I wish I could explain what he does but all I can say is it is so cool and if you go see for yourself, you won't be disappointed. I have no doubt that someday this man will be working for the stars. I have really found a hidden gem. As much as I kinda want to keep him a secret, he deserves all the hype in the world. Read his reviews. He doesn't have a single one that isn't five stars. That is for a reason. MOST IMPORTANTLY!! HE DID AN AMAZING JOB!! I LEFT THAT SALON FEELING SO CONFIDENT AND LIKE A DIFFERENT PERSON! I am still riding that high. This really was life changing. His prices are super low. He should really charge more. - I gave him a hundred dollar tip because it was that great of an experience. And I dont have money like that- Help me get this man the recognition he deserves. Just go give him a chance to change your life too. You only have to see him once to know you will never want to go anywhere else. You won't find better service, a better stylist, or a better environment. TLDR: BEST SALON EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!
