I kept getting texts saying my medication was ready, but everytime I called to double check, it was not. When I showed up she got me my medication within less than 30 minutes and was on top of it. (And she kept telling me to sit down and asking if I was ok) I'm extremely understanding that these places are overwhelmed. I've dealt with a really rude male pharmacist here, but Tracy has literally been a lifesaver Recently, I had called ahead of time to see what I needed for an early release (2 days early for a medication that is highly controlled due to me not being able to pick it up on the scheduled day) she told me exactly what to request from my doctor. (Which, I got ahold of my doctors office and told them) My doctor put in for my medication, but unfortunately, they did not put what Tracy needed them to put. It was night time and my doctors office was already closed. Tracy told me not to worry at all and that she would call them in the morning and get it taken care of for me. I honestly did not think much of it. I was fully prepared to call my doctors office / having to deal with it all on my own. Yet, I got a text saying my medication was ready in the morning. Tracy even called me personally (not just the automated generic voice message system they leave saying to come get your medication) Tracy called and told me that she had been calling my doctors office as soon as they opened and she had everything taken care of for me. It honestly made me cry. While dealing with so much such as a surgery and trying to get everything taken care of, it meant so much to me that she took care of everything for me and did not make a fuss about it. She literally went above and beyond and I'm extremely thankful that she not only does her job, but is extremely sympathetic and helpful. The best part? I get to refill the containers instead of throwing them away. How amazing is that? Christy and Catherine are so friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. I first met Richie at the Lakewood Mall Salon and I wanted him to flat iron my hair. I left very impressed with the results and I am not easy to impress. I went back to the same salon and found out that he was no longer there. They provided me with his cell number and I contacted him and found out he started his own business, C L Salon. As you can see, Richie made an impression on me which is why I choose to continue to follow him. I have not left his business unsatisfied with the results. I rarely write a review unless I am extremely satisfied. I've been to a lot of Phenix Salon Suites in Santa Monica , Orange County and some high end ones, and yes they are good. Here @ CL Salon, for a fraction of the cost read : really a fraction ! (as compared to the ones I had been before), Richie did wonder to my hair. I went to the hair salon after work without an appointment, and luckily, the hairdresser was super lovely and fit me in right away. She listened to what I wanted and even complimented my hair's health. I showed her a couple of pics for inspiration, and she nailed it! She gave my hair a trim and added some awesome layers that make it easier to style. I'll be back. The only downside is that the parking situation is pretty tight, but you won't regret it. Saw the glowing reviews and decided to give this place a try, as along with others, waited too long for a hair cut (3 inches worth). Richy was the only one there and wore a mask, so everything was safe. Love the cut and all the compliments! He even styled my hair! Original : I know the stylists have their own way of booking or dealing with affairs apart of the salon but I think it's wild they have a rebooking fee of over $30 if client has to reschedule last minute their appointments BUT when I get my appointment canceled TWICE by the stylist ON THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT , due to "family emergencies" that apparently always happen. I think it's wild that a stylist can waste a clients time and day considering the first time it was canceled I had planned to get my hair cut before my birthday trip and today it got canceled I had just told my boss no to coming in for a shift because of my scheduled appointment ... what do we clients get in return besides wasted time and lost money ? TL;DR: Emory gave me the best haircut I've ever had, and I've had my hair done by many hairstylists…read more(due to working in salons for over a decade). I used to do hair. I have been cutting my own hair for years as I've struggled with finding someone who could tend to it for me. It's thick, coarse, wavy and frizzy (I'm caucasian). I'm not picky, I just need someone to not thin it out everywhere, I need the shape to not look like a ball or a triangle, and I need it to be even. I randomly saw Emory and Black Sheep Salon on TikTok and was impressed by three things straight away: 1) They do kinky/coily cuts (it's very rare for white folks to get this education or seek it out). 2) They've created an inclusive salon environment. 3) I could see right away their haircuts are superb: they're structured, shaped for the face, and intentionally done with thoughtfulness and care. I went in for a tiny trim. In some ways, this can be a challenging request (beyond having a hairstylist from outside your salon ask you to fix their hair!). The ask is to cut where it matters (good judgement) and leave the rest (thoughtful restraint). My result was exactly what I asked for, what I needed, and a super cute new shape to boot! I've never had the experience of feeling thrilled at the results of a haircut; or, for days after -- but now I do! I'm happy to highly recommend Emory and Black Sheep Salon as a whole!
