I was on a pleasure trip in the area. My wife found this place for breakfast. What a find. This is a meeting place back in time. We got there around 9:30. It was very busy. Everybody knows everybody here. They were all chatting and laughing amongst their own table and friends sitting at the next table. I sat at the counter because there was no seating in the main area. I waited, but it was busy. Then, someone came up and poured me a cup of coffee. I asked her if I could place an order. She said she can't take orders. I thank her. It turned out she was one of the customers. I later walked over to thank her (her name was Sherry, I found out later) for the coffee, she said, 'We help each other out over here'. The food, I think the owner forgot to change the price of food on their menu here since the 70s. Maybe because of the number of people in the restaurant. It does take a while for the food to come out. So, if you are in a hurry. This may not be the place for you. I think the cook is the owner. You can't hurry love. My wife ordered the western omelette, I had the sausage with a short stack. The food was very good. If you want to travel back in time. This is the place for you!

If you are looking for a white table cloth and shiny silverware experience, go some place else. This is a local local local joint with no frills attitude, loosely put together cups from various brands but what appears to be a loyal local clientele and occasional travelers that pass through. You will experience rural North East America here. Average age of the customers is in their 60s and 70s and older. But the experience is unique and hence the five stars. The prices also are unbelievably low. If I lived here I know I'd be a regular as well. Again, don't expect formal, sit down three course meals but what you will experience is a unique extremely affordable meal from a disappearing breed of eateries.

My omelette platter (with toast and potatoes) and a short stack of pancakes and a coffee with refills was less than $8.

There were definitely some hits and misses with this visit…read more The freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious, although there were two sizes listed and I wasn't asked which size I wanted--I was simply charged for the larger one. The service was quick, and there is both indoor and outdoor seating, which is a nice option. However, the order wasn't checked before it was brought out, so it arrived incomplete. The home fries were bland and came with raw peppers, which I wasn't expecting- should have been sautéed so the texture matched the potatoes. The French dip was unfortunately overcooked and dry, with a ton of onions that weren't mentioned on the menu (HUGE ISSUE bc he's allergic to onions!) We also requested horseradish sauce on the side, but it never came out. The cranberry-orange turkey salad was tasty, but the portion was on the small side. I substituted the turkey for the Southern crispy chicken, which came with an additional charge, and honestly, it wasn't worth the upcharge. Overall, there were some good elements, especially the fresh orange juice and salad, but several details could have been better. Quick service and a nice seating setup, but the food and attention to the order left something to be desired.

Our original plan was to go to Ironbound Farm but they closed early and one of the staff recommended The Little York, and boy was he right!! We both had some delicious cocktails, recommended by our amazing waitress and then shared the fresh strawberry salad with burrata which rivaled any five -star salad I've had in Nee York!!! My daughter is gluten-sensitive so she had their gluten pizza with chicken which she said was awesome! I had one of the daily specials, a chicken parm upside down pizza. When it arrived, I questioned if it was the small as it was that big--and tasty! So, to wrap it up, even if it's by an accident , make sure to check out The Little York; we're so glad we did! And we'll be back

The service was really good. My friend and I split a burger for appetizer. The burger was amazing. You did not have to do anything to it and I'm a condiment person so that says a lot. I got the strip steak, which was a decent size came with sides not the best but not bad at all. I definitely will be back to have that burger again and also I wanna try the pizzas there. It looks so good.
