Talk about bait and switch. I had 2 doors off my van that I got from a wrecking yard, but they were the wrong color. They needed no body work and I stripped them down, ready to paint. I called and asked how much to paint them off the car. I guess her name is Cindy said that she could not give me even a ball park price over the phone. I figured it would be a lot less than 500 dollars that they advertise for a whole car. I opened up the back hatch for the guy to take a look and without hesitation he said 800 bucks!!! they knew I was driving from the desert as the other maaco closed down. This business did a lousy job painting my classic auto. Over spray EVERYWHERE, windows convertible top and even the wheels. VERY POOR QUALITY!!!! When asked about it they got almost belligerent about it saying (WELL, your going to get some over spray) Also found places that did not get painted properly. I could have done better in my own garage. In fact ONE YEAR later I finally got everything cleaned up. I will NEVER use again or recommend to anyone. read more

He was able to make several suggestions about refurbishing my faithful Civic; he also gave me the number for car rental and explained that they get preferred pricing for their customers. If "bait and switch" was in the dictionary Macco would be the first example. The Macco web site lists four levels of paint jobs with descriptions of each. When you visit the Temecula store the pricing and description are very deceptive. When asked about the differences between the Macco web site and the Temecula stores job descriptions I was told "Oh, that is the corporate costs and descriptions, ours are different! For the Premium paint job with Paint and Top coat, it is really paint with the top coat mixed in with the paint! You can get a paint and top job which is sprayed separately but that is with a package that has no actual price listed, so the price is greatly elevated. To top all of this off after you select the paint job you want they say "oh" there is another charge of $175.00 for the primer coat, but you have to have the primer coat so why is that not part of the paint job costs?. Also to paint the door jams is another $1.000.00!!! Check out the very bad reviews on the quality of work as well. Glad I didn't stay to make the deal, I found many other paint job options with reputable dealers in the area. read more

I don't write many reviews, but felt inclined for the service I received. I needed my Prius painted. I was greeted by Cindy who seemed to be having a great day. She made the process so easy. I expressed my doubts, and she explained the process and what to expect. Shortly after, I was introduced to Robert. He also walked me through the process step by step and insured me I was in good hands. Cindy went above and beyond and did not try to take advantage of my limited knowledge towards the different packages they offered. She helped me chose the best deal for what I was looking for. They did a great job on my 1993 Jeep. They did it in about a week and it was done just right no overspray and looking beautiful.

As a car fanatic , I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of work at this Maaco location. Dave Henning and the staff have great experienced and were very helpful in mapping out the best option to get my car looking new again. They offer a variety of services for the owner who is just looking to clean up a simple dent, to the most discerning car guy who wants a full restoration. It was great to find a local shop that does great work. I shopped lots of other shops and could have paid twice as much , but got a great deal with very high quality work that I am very pleased with. read more

This is my first review ever on Yelp I've done and this one won't be good. I'm quite surprised to see any five star reviews on here. I had my '99 Toyota Corolla repainted here maybe seven years ago and wish I never done it. The paint job looked worse after than before. Had I had the means back then, I would have posted before and after photos. The paint was dull and obviously poor quality, with no clear coat/sealer. Now my car is pealing all over the place and am not happy with it at all. I called the guy in charge on the way home to give him a piece of my mind (I don't remember his name, but he had a Middle Eastern accent). I told him he did not give excellent service and my fender was scrapping the highway as I was driving home, apparently due to them fixing the dings? Anyway, if I could do it all over, I would have done more research or never repainted my car in the first place. At the very least, I would have taken these guys to small claims court and had my dad with me at the time of the estimate. I believe the other five star reviews are either friends or family. Please don't consider this establishment! I have other complaints as well such as all the dings weren't taken out and lack of good communication and lack of professionalism. read more

My husband has a 1980 Chevy pick-up, we took it to Maaco in Temecula, WOW! The quote was right on, they had it an extra day, but it was to repair dings and dents we hadn't seen. I had left a review based on my previous work done by Temecula MAACO and wanted to provide an update based on the progress received by the staff. After agreeing to re-spray my truck the color I had requested originally I dropped my truck off with them again. My original drop-off was estimated at 2/9/18 and dropped off 2/17/18. After picking up my truck painted the wrong color weeks later I had returned to have the mistake corrected. Again, I had provided the exact color code from Ford and left them the keys. Upon picking up the truck I had noticed modeling and uneven strokes of the air gun throughout both sides of the truck. Solid, distinct, perpendicular lines were on all four doors and the modeling, or marble effect, carried through the bed of the truck. At this time, Cyndi Butler had told me that this was normal and it was supposed to look like this. I hesitantly grabbed my keys and left. After a day or so of people asking me why my paint looked like marble I took it back and inquired, again, about the odd-looking paint job. Cyndi Butler was on duty and after acknowledging me at the front desk and asking why I was here, decided to mess around with a palm sander for several minutes before addressing my concern. Once we got outside to my truck she stated that "it was normal and if I wanted a perfect paint job I should have robots do the work. When humans do the work this is the result sometimes." I was shocked so I asked her again and she repeated the same statement. I left and called the customer service number right away. I was given a report # and a promise to receive a call from MAACO Corporate to which I haven't received as of yet. What's confusing is that the previous paint job was actually a quality piece of work with the exception of painting the entire truck the wrong color. read more

I found their workmanship to be sub-standard. When I pointed out all the dirt in the paint (it looks like it was painted in the parking lot) to the owner I was told "that I should have spent more money to get a better job." STAY AWAY from this shop if you care what your car looks like! read more

Did a good job with the original paint job of our Tahoe but when we went back for them to do touch up the paint ran in spots. They also lost the bolts to our luggage rack and now we are having to buy more from the chevy dealer to fix it. ( and the items we need to fix it will cost $60.00). Not happy.. read more

Plain and simple. If you want just a basic paint job with the lowest possible quality for $1000.00... Come here. The nightmare does not end after I had my car painted. First of all when I picked up my car I was so frustrated that they didn't do exactly what I asked so I jumped in my car and the second I got home I noticed a huge dent on the passenger side rear of my car. Long story short they denied the responsibility. Second they over painted all over my trim. They over painted and painted on my engine parts and didn't bother to clean up or even remove the tape they supposedly used to not over paint. 2 weeks later I noticed that the make and model of my car emblems were misspelled when they reattached them. Just yesterday I went to get its first car wash and parts of my rack feel of and broke in half. I had to deal with the car wash place blaming them for the fault but all along it was Maaco who originally broke my bike rack because there was traces of glue on these pieces. I'm not here to bash them for the fun of it I'm just trying to express my experience here. I recommend to pay a little more money and find another paint shop to avoid headaches and future disappointments. Good luck. read more

I would have had given the shop 4 stars for the superb work and low price. During final inspection I was impressed with the work. However, upon arriving at my place, I discovered that I had some personal items missing from my car during the procedure. Gone were 2 fishing poles in the trunk, a tackle bag with my fishing license inside, Japanese air freshener, phone holder, and 3 music CD's. The manager can't find these items, so I conclude that MAACO employs thieves, which gives a bad statement in their business. My items were not really valuable or expensive, but there was a pure intention to steal the items from my car and not just a random "got lost" kind of thing excuse. So here's a WARNING to prospective customers: Be aware of and secure your belongings when you transact business with MAACO Temecula. You don't want to be another victim! read more

picked up my vehicle had primer overspray on paint, just had hood and roof painted, the hood came out nice the roof looks like it was painted by an amature waves in the paint and were the paint meets the windshield molding is already bubbled up,so only a matter of time before moisture will get underneath the paint and make it chip hopefully before the warranty is up.. But that's not the worst part it looks like they dragged the sander air hoses and paint gun hoses all over my truck so now I have (NEW) scratches everywhere on my vehicle and also a chip out of my passenger door.I was exited to have my vehicle looking almost new again maaco tem has destroyed that excitement by botching the work.
