My partner and I live quite a bit away from Mac City, but we always make it a point to go out of our way every month or so to visit! Everything on the menu is mouthwateringly delicious (I highly recommend the BBQ Mac with pulled pork)! The staff is always courteous and they keep the environment warm and welcoming. This place for being a mainly macaroni and cheese serving restraunt, was not the best it had an OK Hawaiian Mac but the food was mediocre. The food was in an extremely large portion, so big that no one in our party could even finish half the amount on their plates! This place never lets me down! Today for lunch, I ordered a small MVP pizza, which is a Mac and Cheese pizza with creamy white sauce and bacon. Usually very satisfied, but today someone was not on their game. I ordered a BBQ Mac cheese w/ chicken. Got home and started eating. I could not figure out why it was so spicy and it didn't look the same. Usually it is not spicy hot. Finally figured out they used pre-made Buffalo Mac cheese and just put BBQ sauce on top! The food was good but the service is poor. I went there for breakfast. When the waitress brought my food I requested butter, but the waitress never brought it over. With my bad knee, I had to get up and request it at the counter. The waitress never came over to check to see if everything was okay, and never offered us a refill on coffee. The waitstaff doesn't check on the customers or the dinning room. It is November and we sat next to the door it was constantly open. Again (with my bad knee), I had to get up and close the door so that I and other people could stay warm. It wasn't that busy at all and I don't know who was managing the place. This olace was absolutly disgusting. I chose to take a chance and order very simple salad and chicken wrap and chicken was not edible. Tasted fowl. Took one bite and spit it out. Brought it back for a refund and they refused to refund my money. I want to urge people not to spend your money on an estsblishment that doesn't wsnt to correct the problem and offer a solution to make customer satisfyed. I was compelled to write my first yelp review after this hugely disappointing experience. I spent thirty dollars on an extra large lobster mac and cheese. When I started to eat it, I could not find any lobster "chunks" that they advertised on their menu. These people are so cheap, that the scant lobster I did find was just nasty rubbery claw tips and LEG MEAT. They banged out leg meat to pass as lobster chunks! I was naive to assume that paying THIRTY DOLLARS for a pie size entree would get me discernable pieces of lobster meat. Now I wasn't expecting tails or anything crazy, just chunks like I get at Chelo's (at a lower price, by the way). My dad and I were starving and hoping to find more lobster, so we ended up eating a third of it. When we realized we were ripped off we went back to return it/get a refund and they refused. They insisted there was six ounces of lobster in it which is a blatant lie. What a horrible experience. read more

Have been to "Mac Deli" in the past over a year ago for a quick bite and loved it, but since the new ownership took over its become a dive. Staff also unhelpful and rude. I ordered a Mac and cheese plate last month and was disappointed..but figured maybe they were still working the kinks out so o tried it again 2 weeks later with a sandwich and it was soggy, Luke warm..as if it were microwaved :-( Wish I would give it another go and try it again but the food was actually that bad that I don't think I could. Waaaasaaay too much cheese. And I'm not sure if they start with a roux and make a cheese sauce or not, it seems like they just dumped a bunch of shredded cheese on cooked macaroni. Then baked in the oven with more cheese on top.So instead of a nice creamy sauce it was just a bunch of melted stringy cheese. I ate here when it was Mac Deli and it was the best Mac and Cheese I've ever had. Too greasy(the cheese separated) too heavy and just overall disgusting. I love homemade mac and cheese...
