My MacBook that I recently bought from Apple with apple care broke and WASN'T COVERED. I found out that my laptop was only worth 200 so I wasn't going to pay 500 to fix the Retina display. Leo and Rami thankfully referred me to someone that would take it off my hands and I was then able to regain some money to buy a laptop here. It was definitely something that I wish I had done earlier, saved me so much money rather than buying a brand new one for over a thousand dollars. Sam, the owner, decided to give me a 20% discount (I'm retired) on a used MacBook Pro. He and his team was very courteous and offered quick service based on my failed system. I found Sam and his team on Yelp and have now experienced what other customers have said about their excellent, personal service. I feel that I've been treated very fairly and very respectfully. I entered Mac Star Computers today with the intention of getting my older Macbook pro screen fixed. I was immediately greeted by Alex and after a few minutes of conversation I quickly realized I had discvored the holy grail of Apple products. Ive been interested in upgrading my macbook pro for a while now but given my financial situation and far below average credit it wasn't possible. Mac Store Computers was the solution. Alex lined me up with a mint condition Macbook Pro ZERO MONEY DOWN! Not only did Alex and the other employees set me up with a macbook 5 times better than my current model but they were able to set me up with a realistic and very affordable payment plan. To top it off they threw in new case, 1 TB external hardrive, and even waived the diagnostic fee to get my old macbook fixed. To say the least I am beyond ecstatic and will be referring them to all my friends. The only negative thing i would say about my experience with Mac Star would be the inability to give them 10 stars instead of 5. Mac Star workers are very helpful and extremely thorough in their work. I brought in my 2011 MacBook Pro and were able to examine my computer in front of me so I understood what was wrong with my equipment. My GPU was shot after high sierra update and unfortunately was part of the recall. They gave me many options and I eventually decided to buy a preowned computer. I don't have any credit to my name at the moment but the beauty of this place is that there is a financing option without having credit! You do have to pay it off within three months but it's very reasonable if you are someone who wants an Apple product but don't have the money to spend all at once. Rami was very patient with me and explained the process. They were able to fix my problem same day as opposed to waiting a week like most apple repair shops. Like many people, I rely heavily on my computer for work so a week was not an option for me. These guys work fast! Will definitely be coming back to get my Apple products serviced here. Rami is the best. I came in to the store because I needed my macbook repaired after the screen went out. I had been quoted 4 different prices over $300 dollars. Rami assured me that Mac Star Computers could repair my computer at a better price. He kept his word!!!! The store repaired my computer for $180.00 and it works better than before. I was so glad for the savings, because most repair places just wanna rip you off for a quick buck. I have been wanting to get a Macbook for a while now, but could never get myself to pull the trigger. I went to the Apple store a few times, but I ended up leaving empty handed because of the hefty price ranges. Well, my computer that I use for my profession (graphics design) crapped out on me one day unexpectedly, so I got on my phone to find a repair store ASAP. I saw these guys on yelp, and after checking that they had good reviews, made a trip to the Santa Ana mall. Their tech in the backs name was Nasser, and he was extremely helpful. He helped me understand that I was doing too many resource intensive tasks and that the computer I had wasn't made for a graphics designer. Learning this, I told him I might be interested in seeing what they had for sale. I didn't want to spend over 1000, and he was able to accommodate my needs and price. This is a conveniently located mall front store offering a wide selection of lightly used Macs and Apple products. I bought a great little iPad and cover and my boyfriend bought a Mac computer that I am totally envious of. Alex was our sales person and was extremely friendly, courteous and knowledgable. The computer has been up and running for a couple of weeks but I brought it back to Alex again today to customize it with a "double boot" feature which will enable us to use some of the hard drive to run Windows as well as IOS. This was done within the day and works perfectly. We couldn't be happier. Alex even went as far as to carry the whole thing (it's an all in one with a 27" monitor) out of the mall and through the parking lot to my car. I thought that was very nice of him and showed some great customer service which unfortunately, is rather rare these days. Thank You Alex! I have been coming to this store along with two other members of my family. We have all purchased laptops from them and they have always been more than accomadating and a downright pleasure to work with. I came here for two reasons. First, I needed a Mac that I could afford/finance. Second, because my friend got an iMac here last week and he still hasn't shut up about what a great deal he got! These guys are crazy good. I went in to fix an odor issue that my keyboard had. I guess from all the years of using it, the sweat and skin from your fingers builds up, eventually to get hot and cause an odor. Common but not pleasant. So these guys gave me the cheapest quote out annnny mac repair center in OC. By about 30-50%. So, I get there to drop it off and start asking about upgrades. I ended up getting the whole mac cleaned and an 800gb sold state drive, upgraded ram, and a deeper cleaning than expected for the original price quoted. They didn't call me and tell me it was busted more and this and that. Turns out the odor had spread into the heat sinks and everything else. So they had to go out and purchase an special deodorizer for those parts. Very tedious and at no cost to myself. This thing runs like a champ. Fast and crazy. I am fully fully satisfied with every dollar spent. Thanks boys! read more

Moe was EXTREMELY helpful. I got an awesome Mac computer at a really good price. (It was on special). I also took my girlfriends PC to get her screen fixed. It did take a bit of time but I didn't mind it. At first when the screen arrived, he tested it and it wasn't up to standards. He then called me and asked me if he was able to fix the screen free of extra charges. (Since I had already paid). I agreed. When the screen was fixed he then checked out everything on the laptop. There was something wrong with it so then he communicated to me that since it did take longer time to fix, he would make additional maintenance on it for free. When it was finished I checked the computer out and it was running really smooth. Moe was very communicative with me about everything and he was truthful. Go to them for your computer repairs or if you're in the market for a new laptop. The store has a great selection on computers and is kept very clean. The staff is really friendly, they answer their phone professionally and on time with no waiting time. Came in turned and was greeted immediatley, i came to turn in my Hp laptop to get it repaired had a black screen and didn't not turn on properly. They fixed my laptop in a few days for a low rate that is reasonable. Once I got my laptop back they told me what they did and what was wrong with it and explained me everything to a level where i was able to understand to what they did, unlike other shops in which they just fix it and give it to you. Man i cant explain how great this company is. First off Rami was nice and professional from the start when i called in. When i arrived Rami walked me through almost their whole inventory and answered my 100 questions. No pressure at all. When he advised me that a 5k imac with a special video card would fit me with my video editing needs i was finally sold. The price was fair almost ebay price except i got 6 months warranty. Because of their friendly services and warm environment i decided to buy a camera too. The mark 2. After purchase i tested the new camera and omg it works unbelievably great. When i transferred the photos to the imac it came out wonderful. My customers are now going to be amazed. For about six months I searched off and on for a computer shop to upgrade my MacBook. Two shops gave me quotes over the phone which were ridiculously over priced. I submitted an email to Mac Star explaining I needed a quote to swap my HDD for an SSD. They did not call me back or email me a quote. I found out later because my email went to their junk mail. The next day I actually stopped by the store and talked with Moe who was knowledgeable about what I needed done and kept things in layman's terms. He also gave me other useful knowledge about apple products in general. More importantly, he was a professional and offered a reasonable price for my upgrades which was completed in one day. I reviewed this place at 5 stars when I bought my used 2011 MacBook Pro 15" last year. I still want to give them 5 stars. My computer was overheating and it melted some of the solder inside. I was worried that this would be a VERY expensive fix. Mo put all of my questions to rest, the fix was VERY AFFORDABLE and he can even upgrade my computer's RAM and Hard Drive if I need. Mo really knows computers and what he's doing and I really trust him to take good care of my Laptop... It's like finding a mechanic that you know for sure you can trust. You're not worried about taking road trips or vacationing somewhere hot because you know your car will be taken care of... same is true here. Rami was WONDERFUL! I did the 3 month payment plan for my iPad, and after receiving a notice that my Flexpay account had been sold to a company called Monterey Financial that had tacked on some mysterious fees, I immediately came to the store to get some questions answered. Rami was patient, bought me some coffee, even gave me a snack, and called the company themselves to get all my questions answered. The guys there were in my corner the whole time. I ended up just paying off the balance, because if for some reason there was a glitch within the 90 days, I would owe an additional $1000. I called Alex on Wednesday the 20th and told him I would be there tomorrow which is today exactly 10am sharp because my work shift started at 9 but moved it to 12. Alex showed up just on time pulled up my information and started showing me the laptops. I was really interested in something slim because the old MacBooks were thick and bulky, he showed me a few and then he pulled one out that was more then what I asked for but not only did Alex hook it up but gave me a free case for it, free mouse and a free bag to put my computer in.
