Random spice jars where the cashier wont tell me what they taste like. These are the only spices available in the entire restaurant.
    Lei G.

Terrible service. There were 3 open containers of random spices at the front counter. I asked the cashier what they were in English and he just shrugs and waves his hands at it. I asked again in Chinese and he says "I can't describe it. Just try it." Just absolutely terrible service. Food is only ok and so I don't know where they get the idea they can treat their customer experience so poorly. Won't be surprised if this place is closed sooner from just how poor the store front experience is.

Pretty pleasantly surprised with Macho Burger. I had seen it open and was curious about it for the longest time. A fried chicken and chicken burger shop... what was its differentiating factor? And it's called Macho Burger... why? Such a strange choice in name. Then, I found it served the 'Chinese' style fried chicken sandwich that I love from McDonald's and KfCs in China. Crispy, juicy, and made with chicken thigh. Still, I had pretty low expectations, and I would say this place exceeded them. Bun was fresh, meat was juicy, lots of fresh cut lettuce and mayo with a sweet honey butter (this part was unexpected as I don't think the ones in China have this). The only complaint is the spicy sauce or seasoning is a mystery orange sauce injected in the meat. It reminds me of the mystery orange sauce injected Krispy Krunchy Chicken if anyone has had that. The orange color really freaks me out. Pretty sure in China, the spice and seasoning does not come from a mystery orange sauce. Overall, enjoyed it. It's a large burger, and the price reflects it. A little over $10 for one.

In love with this restaurant!! Let's start with parking... street parking! Staff were very kind and welcoming Love the location in San Mateo great Indoor and Outdoor seating very clean and open. The food is delicious it's the closest that I've gotten to KFC chicken in Asia if you know you know!! It's here! So yummy and perfect no sauce needed but ketchup complements it! Over all 5 stars check it out !!!

We returned again and again! The wings are so addicting and perfect for parties and / or Game Day! The crunch of the batter and the taste are pretty good. The popcorn chicken is also very well-priced and customizable! It is tempting to get more than one order. The feast combos are also perfect for parties as it is a lot of food! If you dine in, there are free refills on drinks! The ordering kiosk and the spacious ordering area are also nice. It can be completely contactless.

Popcorn chicken. $5.99. Great Value. Very tasty and meaty. We added the spicy cumin powder. That was a great addition. Usually, this kind of powder tastes really salty and MSG-ey. This one is not. We sprinkled our own Carolina Reaper chili powder and now it's perfect. Dont bother with the macho sauce. It's really BBQ sauce but Asian version

overall: 4/5 spicy macho chicken sandwich combo: 5/5, got it togo and the chicken burger was still crispy! fries are okay when fresh popcorn chicken: 4/5, crunchy! wish it had more flavor in the chicken? but i guess that's why they give the little seasoning dust wait was a little long but overall would order first and just walk around the area while waiting.

The spicy burger was quite yummy. The chicken was crispy and the sauce paired well. The orleans chicken wings had flavorful skin. The leg and thigh was slightly dry but the extra spicy whole leg and thigh was juicier. The spicy chicken wings were my favorite as they were tender and well marinated.

We came around 11:15 am and still had empty tables but there isn't that many to accommodate groups bigger than 2. I wanted to try the tender beef wrap the most but probably will be sticking with the fried chicken options from here. More on the spicy side and too wet/sauce in the wrap for me. Chicken cartilage was also just ok since it had a little piece of chicken meat and then the cartilage for the skewer. Star of the show was fried chicken sandwich which was well cooked and crispy. Get it with seasoning - seaweed and the mustard sauce was my favorite! Macho sauce is similar to in n out sauce. Onion rings and curly fries also still crispy but needs either sauce or seasoning. Would come back to try their popcorn chicken and some other items

Popcorn Chicken with Macho BBQ seasoning!

You order through a Kiosk and they'll call your number when the order is ready. I got the popcorn chicken with the Macho BBQ seasoning. The chicken had this airy crunch to it, so it didn't feel heavy at all. The chicken itself was pretty tender and juicy. The Macho BBQ seasoning has a slight kick it.

My husband and I saw this place next to our hotel in san Gabriel and regretted not trying it. So excited to see it here at home! We stopped by on a weeknight and it was pretty empty inside. Lots of DoorDash but we were the only ones eating there. We ordered the macho burger and pepper beef burger and both agreed that it was like an in n out burger on steroids. Similar sauce and same fresh veggies but the burger patty was 2-3x thicker, juicier, softer, and had onions mixed in the patty. It was also not oily feeling at all and my bun stayed intact and never got soggy. We were very impressed and ranked it at the top of our burger list. Haven't tried any of their chicken options but we loved the burger.

Their specialty fried chicken burger was pretty good, but all the other items we got was a bit disappointing. The popcorn chicken felt like a lot more batter than chicken was used, and the chicken wrap wasn't too great - the tortilla was dry and didn't go too well with the chicken. Furthermore, it was pretty pricey to what amounts to some fast food. Would not recommend visiting

Just tried this Chinese burger place. I ordered an Orlean Grilled Chicken Sando. It was a little small and basic for what I paid for it. The service was good; I requested for it to be cut in half, and they followed through on that. Some seating indoors and a few outdoors. Order is through a kiosk.

Great food and good community partner! My son is hanging posters for his local middle school musical performance and this store graciously allowed us to hang a poster. THANK YOU! Plus the popcorn chicken and spicy wings are fantastic! All local parents should come support this community-friendly restaurant!

I'm bummed they took away the options to add your own produce as I didn't like that option pre covid (tastes and opinions have changed). The burger bowl with the ahi sauce is so filling and delicious. I wish they sold that sauce separately so I can put on my breakfast. Seriously consider it, I'd buy it by the bottle. The kids really enjoyed the kid menu and seating. I'm surprised the patty sizes of the burgers were big and seasoned just enough. I'll definitely be back.

It was super empty when I arrived (late 11am ish) but it picked up really fast. There's tons of seating inside, including at the counter. The staff is also great and the food came out super fast. The food was really good. I'm quite picky about my burgers, and theirs was amazing. The meat is tender and flavorful, the bun is soft, and the dressing compliments everything well. In addition, I got a milkshake and chili cheese fries. The milkshake felt like 3 servings, so there's definitely a ton of value. I thought I under ordered, but the portions were so big that I had to take it to go. I'd recommend this place and I'll definitely be going again!

Although Super Duper is considered a fast food burger joint, its burgers are definitely a step up from McDonald's and Habit but probably on par with Five Guys minus the loads of toppings included. The burgers and sandwiches have never taken more than ten minutes to prepare but I usually order ahead when I am in a hurry. For this recent visit I ordered their B.E.C. Burger on their kiosk for dine in. While waiting, I was able to self serve my own water and pickles are available by the drinks. My burger was ready in about five minutes and I thought it was a nice gesture to arrange the Super sauce as a smiley face on the inside top bun (I found out this is the norm and nothing out of the ordinary for this burger). The 1/4 pound burger was a good size with the added bacon, fried egg, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and Super sauce. The egg obviously got a little runny and messy but good thing paper towels are readily available. Aside from their burgers, Super Duper has a very good fried chicken sandwich. The fries are just okay to me and I have not tried any of their sweet offerings. This location usually has music playing inside and the staff is generally nice and helpful, going around to each table asking how the diners' experiences are. The tables are cleaned promptly after each use. I've always had a positive experience at this Super Duper.

The poblano burger is the weekly special but wasn't really flavorful. This was my first time trying the lettuce wrap and it wasn't my favorite (I usually love the In n Out protein burger but I'm not a fan of the lettuce they used here). I would just order the super burger with the regular bun the next time I come. We also ordered the weekly special milkshake which was Mango with Tajin flavored and that was really good! I'd get that again for sure. You order at a kiosk machine, so no tip is needed. The food came out pretty quickly, and there's a jar of pickles in the side which I'm a big fan of. This is a casual place, lots of seating, great for a quick but satisfying bite.

It's a little odd for a french fry place to have a spacious area, as there's an entire seating area upstairs (so great for hangouts). There's also tables outside, but no seating on the first floor. They also do burgers and other fried snacks. Wish they still had soft serve, but it's discontinued. For their made-to-order crispy fries, you pick either regular or large, the style of fries, and then the flavor/seasoning. Just pick whatever you like best; you can do half and half flavors. Cajun is solid, similar to the cajun fries at any seafood boil place. Seaweed pepper salt is exactly like the Calbee seaweed potato chips - subtly sweet and umami. The garlic + parm flavor was a bit too thick and strong on the parm for me. Large is definitely worth sharing, though you can share regular, too, if you're okay with snack portions. They stack the fries high in the cup! Their chicken sandwich tastes like an upgraded McChicken, and their other fried items are just okay. I'd go here exclusively for the fries unless you want to junk out, as the prices are pretty reasonable. Because items are made to order, it will take at least 5 minutes to get your order unless you're the only customer, so don't expect fast food speed.

We asked if we could please be seated near a TV and they thankfully found a table right by many of them. We arrived about 15 minutes before 6pm so we were able to order from the happy hour menu. We got the Lemmon pepper tatter tots and a Sangria pitcher. The lemon pepper tatter tots were exceptional. Crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. I love sour flavors so I found them to be so flavorful. The Sangria was good. In my opinion a little on the lighter side but that turned out to be okay for my husband and I. For food, I got the shrimp Alfredo fettuccine and my husband got a veggie burger. He said the burger was overall good. Nothing exceptional buy just goodm the French fries were nice and crunchy. My Alfredo fettuccine was good too. The shrimp were soft . There was a lot of pasta so I got super super full. I suppose not full enough because we ordered the seasonal cheesecake. It was some sort of lemon or yuzu sauce on top of the cheesecake. It tasted ...."eggy" to me. Maybe it doesn't even have eggs but there was a taste in there that was very similar to eggs and for that reason I was not a huge fan of that sauce. The whip cream on the cheese cake was nice and creamy. Our waitress was nice though I think she might have been having a rough day. She was not rude, just not as friendly as some of the other waitresses I saw. I dont mind it because who knows what she might have had in her mind. She kept checking on us and to me that is what mattered. Parking is plentiful. They share parking with the rest of the plaza so parking should not be an issue. Restrooms were clean.
