I've been craving a good burger/sandwich and came across Macho Burger on Yelp. Yelp and Google reviews didn't make Macho Burger sound like much, but I was very very satisfied with my order. I got the crispy shrimp sandwich, which delivered a nicely toasted bun, juicy and lightly fried shrimp patty, and a creamy, slightly acidic sauce. While the burger was delicious, the simplicity of it left me wanting more. I wish there was an option to request more sauce and slices of tomato. read more

Ate the beef wrap and fries. Lived the added Hua Jiao to the beet. Have it a wonderful and unique flavor - loved it. The wrap vs. "content" ratio was biased towards the wrap. I wish it was biased towards the meat. I asked for extra, super crispy, almost burnt fries. Had to send them back for further frying. Not sure what's the point of calling the Oder number loudly over speakers when there are only two people waiting. It felt too "aggressive." Will give it another chance. read more

Macho! Macho! Buuurrrgr! Yeah! I've got to get this Macho, man! On my way back down from the Bay Area I had time for one last food run and oh was it fun! New to the menu the employee pointed out all the recommended items so Fuggit I got all of them! Their macho crispy sandwich looked so mammoth but it was no match for my hungry hydraulic jaws! It looked so crispy I thought it was going to hurt the roof of this mouth but to my surprise it was really light and crispy. The black truffle cheeseburger was also a hit with flavor and a little hint of truffle after each bite! For the road i ordered the spicy chicken wings and the fried chicken chop. Man! Let me tell you! That chicken chop was so tender and juicy with just the perfect amount of crispy crunch and those chicken wings! I went twice and tried a number of items including the shrimp burger, crispy chicken sandwich, macho cheeseburger, chicken cartilage, xxl chicken, and popcorn chicken. I'd give 4 stars for just the shrimp burger and chicken sandwich. I would skip on ordering the other menu items again. Nice spot for a quick bite. Self ordering and parking is easy. read more

I tried the macho crispy chicken sandwich, the spicy chicken sandwich, and the XXL Macho fried chicken thigh. They were juicy, crispy and moist and huge. The chicken sandwich fillets are 183g. The price per oz is the same as KFC. The flavor in all of them is lackluster, I could not taste much other than the added spice. Shihlin Milpitas gives double the chicken (450g in XXL thigh) for the same $12 price. There is no service. I asked for two seasonings on the thigh instead of one and the woman refused. What a great find! I didn't know this chicken place even existed! Even though it's called Macho Burgers, they have more chicken menu than burgers. I'm a fan of fried chicken sandwhich! Their chicken sandwhich is pretty tall. The buns they use is super fluffy and soft and lightly sweeten. I really like the mayo sauce they use. The batter they use is light and crispy. This place also has the XXL macho fried chicken chop that reminds me of the ones I've had in Taiwan. The menu price is pretty good for what you're ordering. I don't think I've seen a place where popcorn chicken is less than $6. I also love the curly fries. Service was quick. Also, their green chili pepper cheeseburger has a huge patty! Flavor was good! Limited menu which is sometimes a good thing because too many options leads to hard decisions to make! I ordered fries and chicken tenders. The strips were thinner and more like chicken fries than tender or very thin strips. However the crispy light batter on the outside was cooked perfectly without being overcooked. The fried wet also pretty good. Only downside side is the wait time for your food. There was only a 2 people in front of me and took at least 10 minutes but they are making the food as you order it so to me that's worth it. read more

I randomly found this restaurant while looking for places to eat in Sunnyvale. This place is so good. It's so good, I can only come once a year because of all the fried goodness. We got the family feast for four and was more than enough for our party of 7. I'm glad they have the feast option otherwise a la carte would add up quickly. I had the Beijing wrap, which I highly recommend. Next time I want to try the macho wrap, which wasn't on the feast for four but also looks really good. They even have a whole chicken as part of the feast, but we took it to go because it was too much food. When I need an excuse to run away from McDonalds for a change, then I take my boys here as an excuse to enjoy yummy burger for myself. read more

Let me start off by saying, I was encouraged by my colleague to try this place. Kiosk order, normal, no issues. The pace was off putting as I watched how she switched tags as she placed them on the line. I stood in that lobby for 35 minutes waiting, so I asked her when would she be calling my number, and she tells me the fries were being made, in a kurt snarky tone. Now I don't trust you. So when she gives me the bag, she says BYE. Honey, you don't EVER have to worry about me, I will NEVER entertain another visit to this place. Oh and when I finally got to my desk to partake of this delicacy. Why did it taste like spam?, and the texture was not that of a Chicken! This place was so popular when it was opened. They blown up on Asian social media apps. It could have been a 4 star at max but they did many things wrong to piss away customers. Hard to see them lasting long in a competitive food environment like the Bay Area. 1.The checkout machine automatically sets tips at 15% at default, who are we kidding here... this is outrageous even for Bay Area standard. 15% TIPS for fast food?? 2. The chicken sandwich was too oily, not as good as other fast food restaurants. The chicken skewer was at best mediocre, nothing I would pay out of pocket for. Even KFC had better products 3. When it was opened, the service was slow, and the workers acted they couldn't care less. At least put a sign up that you guys sold out. read more

However, if your advertised business hours say you're open until 9:00 PM, customers should reasonably expect to be able to dine in until then or at the very least, until a clearly posted dine-in cutoff time. If the restaurant no longer accepts dine-in customers after 7:40 or 8:00 PM, that policy should be clearly communicated online, on the front door, and in the posted business hours. Otherwise, customers are making the trip expecting the full dining experience only to be turned away. For anyone planning to visit, I'd recommend arriving at least 1-2 hours before closing if you want to dine in. Otherwise, you may not be seated even though the restaurant is technically still open. I hope management reviews this policy because it creates a disappointing first impression and can easily drive away potential returning customers.

She also had great suggestions on what to order. Our food was fresh tasty and didn't have to wait long. The restaurant is very beautiful with a peaceful feeling to enjoy my food. I would suggest the French Dip Sandwich very rich in flavor. Thank you again for the kind customer service. Myself and family felt very welcomed.

The interior of the restaurant was warm and inviting... literally warm, the heater was on blast on this cold evening in November. The place was empty so service was instant, and our sandwiches were ready in about ten minutes. I wasn't a fan of the hard sourdough which didn't taste very fresh (maybe cuz it was near the end of the day?!?). I do like toasted bread, but not when it's that tough. Luckily the house spread and toppings were tasty, though they did go light on the sauce. It was a satisfying meal, and we were content with our experience here even if nothing really unique about the product.
