We had a friend staying with us from out off town, so we decided to order take out from Lou Malnati's for a Chicago experience. It's just "Lou's" to folks who know what's up. For 3 adults we ordered: Deep Dish Veggie, added sausage (Small) Thin Crust Italian Combo Beef-za (Small) Caesar Salad (Large) We made some wings at home in the air fryer to supplement, and our meal was perfect! By the way, how does Lou's keep their salad so fresh? The lettuce was so crisp and green, like it was freshly pulled from ice water, spun dry, and chopped from the kitchen. The thin crust beef-za (inspired by an Italian beef) was my favorite of the two pizzas. But the crust on the deep dish was just as it's always been: golden, crunchy, the best part of deep dish if you ask me. Ordering online was very easy and pickup was painless. This location is pickup or delivery only (no dine in). I've had Lou's at several locations across Chicagoland, and this one didn't disappoint; their quality holds up location to location. I'm so glad that Lou's is in my hood! Accessing classic deep dish pizza is now closer and easier than it's ever been before. Having a satisfying dinner is just a click away. read more

My husband and I gathered a friend's house for a party and they ordered Lou Malnati's pizza for delivery. We got cheese and sausage, cheese and pepperoni, and cheese thin crust pizzas. The pizzas arrived within the desired time and the delivery person was nice. The pizzas were warm and delicious. Lou Malnati's is know for its deep dish pizza but its thin crust should not be overlooked. The three pizzas were finished rather quickly. Couldn't ask for a better experience. read more

We ordered on a weeknight for pick up/to go. The food took a while to get even though we ordered online first. We got a CHICAGO CLASSIC pizza and the quality was just not as good as usual. The crust was just ok and the sauce was way too watery and a bit bland. We also got the SPINACH THIN CRUST pizza and the flavor was also quite bland and just not that great which is disappointing. I love this place and drove all the way from NY to visit my Dad and HAD to stop here on the first night. I get bad heartburn so I can't eat pizza like that and had to risk it ALL. It's so good! The Lou is flavorful with a seasoned spinach and the plain is perfect both have a buttery crust and you will impress me if you can finish more than one slice. We got the small and still brought back pizza home for the next day as it is super filling. Our server Cheyenne was super helpful and had an outstanding personality. Everything was fresh and tasty and the establishment is going under construction so the front outdoor seating is closed but the back patio was perfect for us. I have to say this lou's has an excellent staff. They have a problem sometimes with printouts going to the kitchen late, no one's fault just a stupid machine. However, the managers are exceptionally nice and want to make it up to you so they will offer some extras you'll like. I have been an avid Lou's fan for a couple decades. Seriously good pizza. This year I was diagnosed with Celiac so had to transition to gluten-free crust. Kudos that they offer it... but store-bought GF crust is superior to this. So if you are GF, I'd buy the regular crust for the family and opt for something else for yourself. I moved to the area recently and picked up a pizza at this location today. Customers cannot enter the store, so I waited outside. A younger guy came out initially and I gave him my order number. He went back inside and no one came out for several minutes to let me know what was going on. Then a younger woman came out and asked me to move my car forward. I said "Yeah. Can you let me know what is going on with my order. The guy that came out earlier never let me know." At this point, rather than offering or agreeing to help me, she just kept asking me to move forward, to the point of appearing confrontational. I had already agreed to move my car. The younger guy came out again several minutes later. He just gave me the pizza and didn't say anything. No "thank you" or "have a good day." Nothing. The pizza was decent, as it has been at every other Malnati's that I've been to in the Chicago area, so that's why I'm not giving this location one star. However, there are many other pizza joints in the area, so I don't think it's worth going back to deal with this kind of customer service. read more

Ordered from this Lou's recently for delivery. While the delivery was quick the pizza was disappointing. We order an extra large thin crust Italian beef and giardiniera and a Medium deep dish with veggies. The extra large thin crust was the same size/circumference as the medium deep dish; it definitely was not an extra large. Also the toppings were few and far between on both pizzas. A very minimal amount of Italian beef was probably on 3 pieces of the extra large pizza. So we literally ate a giardiniera pizza, not great. The deep dish tasted good but again the toppings were next to nothing. If you are charging customers for toppings and you state 'normal amount' make sure toppings get on the darn pizza! We paid close to $50 for 2 pizzas so I would expect a hefty amount of toppings on their pizzas. I would recommend taking the drive to Little Italian in Naperville. Their Italian Beef and Giard pizza is outstanding and they are always very heavy on toppings so you definitely feel like you are getting what you paid for. read more

This is a take out location, and it's super convenient to go to when you are craving Lou's but want to eat at home. The prices are the same as the restaurant, but it's nice because they also sell frozen take and bake pizzas, salad dressing, desert and more. Do not rely on delivery from this location. Every time I attempt to have it delivered (less than a quarter mile away) it is always delivered a half hour later than the latest promised delivery time. Adding insult to injury, they charge a delivery fee which doesn't go to the drivers but the location which is just a takeout location. They offer no resolution or promise to improve delivery service. The product is always fine, so takeout is your best bet to get a hot pizza for your meal. Follow up: Thank you, but I already tried to contact your organization and was told my concern was sent onto local management who would reach out. They have not reached out. Just like the night of the incident when I called the store directly, you all don't do anything about the complaints. We have been getting these pizzas for years and the quality control has really gone down! We ordered extra crispy and it doesn't arrive that way and often times the pizza already waiting for us when we go to pick it up. Never the time they say. This is the northside deep dish in the tradition of Pizza Uno and Gino's East. Crunchy cornmeal crust, chunky sauce -- not the gooey Giordono's style. I flew 2000 miles for this pizza because it is very hard to find in my hometown. Luckily I have Chicago friends who indulged me. We ordered sausage and spinach. The spinach was a little bitter. Too bad, because everything else was great. The individual salad was huge, and the thousand island dressing excellent. Excellent deep-dish. You really can't go wrong here. I think Giordano's narrowly edges out Lou's for me, but I still love this place. The crust is flaky, and there's tons of toppings without overloading the pie. We had about 100 of these pizzas ordered for my sister's sweet 16, and they did an excellent job with all of them. They were done perfectly, and everyone loved them. I just wish there was some more room in this place to dine in, but it's just a solely carry-out place. If you want to dine in, head over the Lou's in downtown Naperville about 15 minutes away. It's great as well! read more
