We did Installations for them and they still us over $26k in past due invoices for installs we completed months ago. They owe another subcontractor over $200k. Their license is suspended and has been for months. They legally cannot contract work but still do so unlawfully. The owner Matt Watkins does not live in CA and doesn't have a grip on what he's doing. Good luck with trying to get them fix any warranty work as this falls under the subcontractor. They don't answer calls or emails if you have an issue or anything post install related. We've began a formal complain with the Contractors License Board and have began legal proceedings against Bay Area Turf. Due your due diligence and do not hire this company. You have been warned!

Our recent project was a complete overhaul of our front and side yard, and we really didn't know what we wanted since we were working with a blank slate (tearing out old Juniper). We met with Louis for the initial consultation and really just shared ideas of what we had in mind (some boulders, plants/trees, lighting, new stairs, etc.). He, Jack, and the team really brought it to life by designing it from scratch (using ideas and preferences we shared) and then working with us throughout the project to make sure everything was installed to our preference. We made a few tweaks along the way (swapping out tree preferences, picking stone colors, etc.), but they easily accommodated and also helped guide us when we weren't quite sure what we wanted. They're also punctual/show up on time, clean up after themselves, communicate daily, and even finished the project early! We anticipated a 4-5 week project but they busted it out in the month of February and even had a few days rained out. We have zero complaints and can't wait to bring the team back for future projects. I highly recommend Hansen Landscape to anyone looking to do a big (or small) landscape project.

The price was fair and he could start the following day. I had six sprinklers replaced for my lawn and then extended the PVC piping to my new section of lawy and added three more sprinklers. Mr. Tran removed the old thin wall PVC which was about 22 years old and installed new thick walled schedule 40. I also had a water valve replaced which was controlled by a timer. The dug up sod was put back in place and the lawn was looking great in a few days. No problems with any leaks, the direction of the sprinkler spray is all correct, and after several months, everything still works perfectly.
