Our FAVORITE wings are here. They make their sauce in house. So yummy! Our favorite burger is the Curley Joe. And you need to try the Onion Straws. (dip them in wing sauce!) Good little restaurant in Payson... We had some very good pork ribs. Cornbread was delish! BBQ chicken breast was very average, though. Splurged and had the carrot cake for dessert. It was worth it. Clean, easy to find, decent hours for a small town. Only big concern was that the waitress didn't come back to check on things and fill the water cups. Give it a try. I had a curly joe burger. I upgraded to 1/2 pound which just means they put two patties. It was in the top ten of best burgers I've had in my life. The fries were awesome too - I'm not sure what they cook them in but they are crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. read more

We were looking for a great place to eat as we were headed back to Phoenix besides the usual Chilis. Based on reviews we stopped here and it sure didn't disappoint. Although it is tucked back in a strip mall, it's right off the 89 so it was really convenient. The service was fantastic, the food was great, and there were a lot of options. Now, the dessert. The milkshake and the carrot cake were fantastic and we had to make room for them. Definitely will stop back in the next time we are driving through. read more

Buggers are great. I had the verde. Coleslaw is bad do not bother. Fries are ok. Staff is great. The strawberry lemonade is a great choice. Most buggers are 7-9 and worth it. Good came quick. read more

On our way through Payson I came across this place over the Internet. The service was a little slow to start with but overall a good place to eat. Stopped by at this restuarants after seeing the good yelp reviews after going up north for a hike. The sevice was wonderful, everyone was extremely nice and while a migraine prevented me from eating all of my food, the little I did eat, was tasty. Creative topping options; solid flavor. If you are looking for a good basic burger, this may not be your place. But if you want avocado, bacon, bbq sauce, shoe string fries, and other creative toppings you will enjoy your meal. The meat itself was served medium, although ordered medium rare, and was so perfectly round and pressed I don't think they patty the ground beef in house. But with all those toppings the meat isn't the highlight and it was a satisfying meal. I loved the fresh strawberries crushed in my giant glass of strawberry lemonade and the staff was friendly. It was a pleasant and unexpected find on the way back to Phoenix after visiting the national parks. read more

Great food! The burger was so juicy and filling. The patio allows dogs which is great after finishing a hike with my pup! Also, they brought out a dog bowl full of water for him. The server made sure to continually come out and check out and it's nice that sitting outside didn't make us feel "forgotten" like can sometimes happen when on the patio. I'll start of by saying the food is good. The service was terrible. We got seated right away the hostess took our drink order came back with them said our waitress would be here shortly. Well 15 min later no waitress. Seen many walk by none stopped. Had to get up and ask for one. A nice lady came over took our ordain she wasn't our waitress but will get our order in. 20 min later still no waitress or food. We decided to try out a new spot on our way through Payson and checked in with Yelp. Macky's is one of the highest rated and right off of the 87, so we figured we'd give it a try. I have to say, Macky's earned my five stars. I had probably one of the best burgers I've ever had with the Curley Joe burger, which our server recommended! I visited Macky's several times for lunch when I have been on vacation up in Payson and have always been treated with great customer service from their staff. The food is very good and the portions are plentiful so you will have a ton of left overs! I suggest a bowl of homemade chili and cornbread. Delicious! read more

Very fast and friendly service. Good selection to choose from and the food was excellent. I had the Reuben and my wife had the taco salad. Best Reuben I've had in years. By far, best place to eat in Payson!!! Everything was perfectly priced and it was well worth it. It's obviously a fun place to work because every single staff member we met had a smile on their faces. We waited less than 10 mins for our appetizer and our meal was served with perfect timing about 15 mins later. We even ate here twice in one day we liked it so well. First time visiting and was greeted by the owner, with all the staff being very friendly and the service was quick but with no pressure. We arrived in time for lunch and both picked off the sandwich menu. Mine came with a hearty beef barley vegetable soup; everything was delicious and very reasonably priced.
