When we got there, we tapped the bell and a lady came out and asked what service we needed. We told her my daughter needed eyebrow threading before her senior pictures. She sat my daughter down and asked what look she wanted. We basically just said to clean them up and shape them to fit her face naturally. My daughter was nervous since she thought threading might hurt or that she could get nicked, but she said it actually wasn't very painful at all and there were no nicks! Definitely way faster and better than plucking. Her brows came out really nice and natural. We'll definitely be back for her next threading appointment. They also offer Henna, and the sample pictures they had displayed looked really beautiful and detailed.

The first time I got them done by her she left small spaces where my eyebrows could grow in. After the next few sessions, eyebrow hairs had filled in and eventually I regained my shape. Depending on the style of waxing studio you choose, some opt for hot wax with strips, some for hard wax that gets ripped off, some a combination depending on services. Hygiene and sterility are important, especially with not using the same stick, used to procure wax, twice. So many factors! Regardless of wax type, the most important component is obviously the skills of the aesthetician. I am so happy that I found Chelsea! She is professional and thorough. The task was not simple... In the past, 8 weeks of growth could equal increased pain and increased length of time. Chelsea is very skilled, using a combination of waxes for the Brazilian including hot wax with strips for all but the sensitive areas. For the prime sensitive area, she used hard wax and created a handle out of the wax, to avoid picking the wax off piecemeal. This is one of the risks you could take with a less trained aesthetician, as well as repeated waxing over the same area multiple times.Thankfully, Chelsea did not do either of these things. Perhaps she waxed the same area twice total? It didn't hurt nearly as much as it should have given the amount of hair. She coached me on when to take breaths to minimize pain and she was fast! It only took approximately 30 minutes to do a Brazilian and eyebrows. As she said, "no one wants a slow Brazilian." So true, Chelsea! So true! Fast is not always best if there is any sacrifice to patient comfort, but again Chelsea ensured this was NOT the case. She was clear with her instructions and I was comfortable. She was absolutely hygienic, reminding me (the nurse who started to do this prior to her advisory) not to touch the skin where she waxed to reduce risk for infection/transfer of oil. She also educated me and offered tips for exfoliation. Read through other reviews about her skills with eyebrows. She shaped and fixed my Bert (from Sesame Street) eyebrow into two happy arches. I highly recommend Chelsea.
