Don't get a Macy's card! I was talked into a card last Christmas. After two months I called Macy's to find out why hadn't received a statement. They asked for my social security number and could not find my account. Two months later I applied for a loan. My credit report showed a 90 day late for non payment. To drop my credit score down to 650 and a delayed my house closing by three weeks. No apologies from Macy's just delay after delay before getting my credit cleaned up. What was most surprising is as I shared the story I heard something like that happened to me to at Macy's. I've requested twice to have the account closed and they don't seem to get around to it. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I brought in some things to return at cosmetics department with no receipt but the Macy's return tag was on it, and the sales associate told me to come back another day because I would ruin their numbers that month. That is some ridiculous BS. I don't see them telling me to come back and buy another day when they reached their sales goal. Men beware, every single piece of wool clothing I have purchased from the Roseville Galleria Macy's mens' department has wound up with moth holes in it. This store seems to have a problem with bugs, 4 pairs of pants and one suit all have holes in them. Non macy's wool items I have in same closet did not develop the same problem. I brought one pair of pants back to Macy's they readily accepted them, seeming to understand there is an issue. later on after I moved from the area and was unpacking, I noticed all other items from macy's also had bug holes in them. hundreds of dollars of wool clothing damaged. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Unfriendly people and terrible exchange/ return policy. I registerd with Macy's for my wedding and had to return or exchange a few things. The lines were very long the day we came and they made us stand in different lines for each item we were returning! When i asked the manager why their policy was like this he said it wasn't and should not have had to wait in three different lines. Apparently the people working were too lazy to complete the exchanges all at once. The shoe and makeup departments are joke. The shoes are very out of date and the makeup is limited to a few decent brands but not enough variety. Nordstrom is much, much better and I will do all of my shopping there after my awful experiences at Macy's. read more

I love Macy's. I always find great dresses in their clearance rack, my husband finds good deals in men's department. I've found a lot of great deals in the bedding department, kids and home goods. You can't go wrong at Macy's but never pay regular price (there's always a sale is some type). Join the rewards program and you'll get star cash you can use on other purchases. read more

Holley in Style and Company was Amazing! She was so helpful and full of energy! She made my shopping experience far better than usual, and even took the time to hunt through the clearance racks to find what I wanted. I am done with Macys. The stores look trashy and are overstocked with crappy merchandise and all the better clothing is online only. Then they charge you shipping. Really good customer service is non existent and the cosmetic dept is full of attitude. The only depth that is stocked quite well is handbags and Coach. This company is in trouble and closing stores. They need to take a hard look at Nordstrom and their customer service and shipping as well as the online services. If you don't carry it in your store you should not expect your customers to pay shipping. There really needs to be an updated vision for Macys. I have been a valuable customer and spent a lot of money at Macys but recently paid my account and closed my card and now I will not shop there anymore. read more

I just want to Thank Michael, merchandiser, in sporting.. I'm not sure what department , it was first floor where all the Calvin Klein brand is. Michael went out of his way last night. My mom and I came in on Thanksgiving evening , we were looking for shoes but it was so messy and disorganized in that department that we decided to go look at departments that were less crowded. We were looking at some Calvin Klein leggings and the last pair was on a manikin so, Michael took them off for me and I got em!!! :) Michael was so professional and he had a unique way of showing me more clothing that I ended up loving and getting!!! He mentioned that he is a seasonal employee.. well, I really hope he stays!!! This was the best service we have had in years at a Roseville Galleria Macy's! Thank you Michael!! You are the best! The customer service in this Macy's location is hit or miss. The worst department is women's shoes. I've gone to return a pair of shoes on multiple occasions and there's never anyone working at the checkout counter, yet I see a lot of employees around. I've stood there for up to 5 min before, before someone has acknowledged me. read more

This Macy's store is large and convenient. Lots of good merchandise - only problem I have is that the clothes seem to be geared to younger people and they don't have many lines for women in all sizes or normal prices. CHANEL COSMETICS: Carter is my go to guy! He shows me exactly what I want & doesnt try to sell me the extras that I dont want. However, Daphne did my makeup and did everything I did NOT want. The lady who was working the fitting rooms kicked me out of the area, due to me being a male. I was sitting on the bench waiting for my fiancée to try some dresses on, when she approached me and said I wasn't allowed their because I was not transgender. Are you kidding me?! This review is for the ladies at the Benefit Bar. Very helpful helping us pick out eyebrow wax & powder, demonstrating how it worked and even up-selling their new eyeliner... which is to die for! I love, love the eyeliner, and wouldn't have even known about it had she now recommended we give it a try, demonstrated on one of my friends, and let me sample another one for myself. This Macy'sis just like any other one. The staff is friendly enough, they carry all the right stuff, and they have quality products. The location is a catch 22. They are on the far end of the Galleria which means the parking isn't so hard. the 2 level garage leads directly into the store and the top usually isn't completely filled, there is a small parking lot at the very end which, again, isn't usually filled. BUT....come holiday weekends and the holiday season the roads on this end are parking lots with only 1 lane going each way. buying one or 2 items ends up being a full day test of patience. Let me be clear on something: Macy's has nothing to do with the roads, that would be Westfield, but it is an unfortunate part of the experience. All and all: no reason not to come, just be wary and cautious of the traffic. read more

Veer is an amazing associate! After purchasing a lot of items 5 mins prior with a different associate and not being asked for our Plenti number, Veer offered to return the items so we could re-purchase them to get our points. If anyone knows what a hassle it is to scan the product then scan a sticker, place the sticker on the tag then fold and place it in a bag for a customer...you would appreciate him too! I have to give props to Macy's. I have long felt their return policies were a bit tough and unfriendly. The other day my wife took some luggage back that just didn't work very well. For example, wheel bags that tip over. They were several months old, no receipts and the suitcases were scuffed but they still took them back! We will be back to buy new ones once we do our research. Went to Macy's for a new bed. It was delivered yesterday fine but the box springs is too large for the bed. Called the salesman to see what could be done and he basically said it would be an additionsl $265 on top of the already $125 we paid for delivery just to exchange the box springs! Employees at the fragrance counter are way way too hard sell and have poor salesmanship all around. I came in to try the new Dior Sauvage EDP and was clearly interested in just this line of fragrances, yet BOTH employees tried very hard to convince me to try/look at a different Armani fragrance in two separate instances. Then when they finally got the idea that I knew what I was here for, they still blabbered on telling me things I already (and obviously so) knew about these fragrances. I believe I made it clear that I just wanted to evaluate these fragrances on my own without being analyzed or pushed on other products. They didn't even know how to properly pronounce some of the French words associated with these fragrances. Seems like a tiny, nitpicky thing to call them out for, but I think it says something about the quality of an employee in this business if they don't even know basic pronunciations like these. Then when I decided on a fragrance, she loudly assumed I wanted the extra large size (sampler happened to be that size) as if she expected I wouldn't resist as long as she boldly made the statement. And when I declined and said I wanted the standard size, she sort of pressured me to justify why I didn't want the extra large size. To conclude, I walked in ready and eager to spend $100 for a little bottle of fluid, but that wasn't enough for these employees. They relentlessly tried to get more money out of me (greed) and/or redirect my interest when I clearly was not interested (incompetence/poor salesmanship). A very unpleasant experience overall. You almost wouldn't know that I was shopping at Macy's and not a market in a third world country. I'll definitely be buying my fragrances elsewhere in the future. read more

Kudos to the two jewelry sales associates during the post Christmas rush who helped me find replacement earrings (for a favorite, lost earring), searching stock, searching the digital stock and then ordering a pair with no shipping charges. If I could give this zero stars I would. This is by far the worst Macy's I have gone to in the Roseville/Sacramento area. The employees and managers avoid the cash registers at all cost and walk away when they see a customer needs help. It's too crowded like a zoo and it smells like pot. All employees look unprofessional especially those in women's clothing and women's shoe department. The manager the old guy with the very loud voice is very unprofessional and extremely flirtatious with every woman in the store. He treats this place like some kind of a sports bar. Macy's has been and probably will always be my favorite department store. So, this review may be a little biased. That said, when I stopped in to peruse the sale items over this past weekend, I found just what I was looking for, and was treated very well by the staffers in the women's department over at the Roseville location. I had my eye on a Tommy Hilfiger dress that was originally $98.50, and ended up walking away with it for $33 with the sale and the additional coupons that had been mailed to my home. I love a bargain like that, and I also love the extra help in the fitting room from the staffers with their suggestions that are offered if asked for. The Roseville store is always clean, well stocked (with the exception of Men's big and tall when I need an item for my husband), and the staff is very knowledgeable. read more

I was late to a friend's b-day party, and being as busy as I am, I did not have the slightest idea of what to get. On the way, I stopped by the Galleria mall, they were packed, but there is additional parking on the second floor that opens right into Macy's Kids' and man department-this was perfect! Although I was never really a Macy's fan, I was super short on time and looking for something classy for a dude. Perfume - that's what I ending up getting! The sales lady was so easy to work with =) I explained to her that I literately had 10 min to be in and out, she helped with the choosing and smelling, and even found best value since there was a gift set available for a very good price. Then brought out all the wrapping paper and lace, let me choose the ones I wanted while she was running up the sale. Helped with the wrapping (for FREE) and sent me-the crazy frantic lady who is late, on my way with a genuine smile! I wish I remembered her name, because after everything was over, the present was loooved by the friend of mine, it was wrapped as if I had a whole week to prepare it, and I will not even say how cheap I got it for ;) read more

This location has a HUGE selection as compared to Sunrise Mall Macy's. I've always had good service at the register and found some awesome bargains on beautiful clothing. Dressing rooms are generally easy to get into and cashiers are pretty responsive if you need anything. read more
