This is my go to store for most things. This Macy's is easy to get in and out of quickly because it's on the south end of the mall with plenty of parking around. The staff are friendly, efficient (usually) and the stores carries a little of everything - clothing, accessories, makeup, luggage, fine china, linens, shoes, kitchen/home goods, etc. I can usually find the items I want and it seems like there's always a sale. Walked i n from the men's department and went straight to Origins. I like there makeup because my sensitive skin & asked the lady for mineral powder. She was very helpful and found out my color then she also matched me with concealer. I ended up getting just the powered with SPF for $31. I got to use my gift card so it only ended up being $6 score! I specifically came for a new pillow. Went up stairs & looked through the foam pillows. I had a coupon from my wedding registry 20% off. My husband and I wet to Macy's at UTC planning to spend the gift cards we received over the holidays. We went to the 3rd floor to cruise through the bedding and housewares. We were greeted by the amazing Taj . He greeted us with a smile and a fantastic sense of humor. Taj guided us through the purchase of incredibly expensive but worth it down pillows sheets and other items we absolutely needed.(wanted) He obviously takes pride in his work. Been trying to call this location for the past 30 min. They've been a staple of this UTC mall for so many years that it's hard not give them proper OG cred as a major tenant. I grew up seeing this Macy's at UTC so I had major respect for them. They are located by Red Robin and Eureka. I believe they are hurting due to the re modeling of this mall. Parking is tough and the department store looks run down. I don't think they're getting a brand new location or build out like Nordstrom. My grandmother likes a certain Elizabeth Arden cosmetic product that I'm trying to buy her. Online says Macy's carry this face serum. Tried calling over and over their 858 phone #. NO answer. Except from an automated machine that doesn't have the option to hit the #0 to get a live operator. I hit a # that's for cosmetics. The machine listed off over 8 brands, with department #'s, to choose from but not the brand that I'm looking for. Tried to hit #0 for help after hearing all the cosmetics being listed off. Puts you back to square one. Tried to hit Chanel or Benefit to see if maybe they would pick up and transfer me. No answer. Back to square one on automated machine. Gave up. And I wanted to buy something. Not return. Not complain. Just see if the product is there. I don't know what will happen to this location. Please hire someone to take phone calls and direct to right department. read more

I came to Macy's to repurchase my full coverage foundation and purchase a new primer. I am a loyal fan of Estée Lauder when it comes to the full coverage foundation. I have oily skin in the summer and dry skin in the winter. I needed a primer to use on my face. I always put moisturizer on my face before anything. Anyway, the lady who helped me was nice but took forever to find my foundation and primer. She rang me up quickly but she also made sure I got my products. I was definitely happy with my purchase. The store was empty and good thing the lady at the other counter stepped up to help me. I don't normally shop at Macy's and when I do, I try to look for bargains or I will just repurchase my foundation here. A descent store but the young lady who ignored me needs to up her customer service. At least the other lady asked me if I was being helped and I replied no. She came to help me. Macy's looks pretty dead sometimes in some departments, such as clothing, but in others, such as the ground floor cosmetics etc. it sells pretty much the same things as any other department store, and seems to be doing okay. Back to school shopping here for my daughter she managed to find some things she liked. I was at UTC mall , on Saturday i was leaving the mall but i decide to call macys to see if they had a product in chanel costmetic they answer phone and never acknowledged the call I was just place on hold with the receiver on top of phone I could hear everything they where talking about ,so I park n went into store , I waited at counter since I saw that both lady's where very busy ,the older lady made eye contact I thought she was gonna acknowledged me and tell me to wait the usual (we are busy but we will be right with you) nope she just turned around so I proceeded to interrupt her with (excuse me ) but nothing loud or disrespectful and I ask her if that's the way they treated customers answer phone don't even said anything n place them on hold she got very offended and yelled at me saying she just came back from lunch and it wasn't her I told her ma'am I'm not saying it's you someone here did , then lady that did confronted me n said it was her n that she did ask me to hold which it was a complete lie long story , the other other customers started to give me dirty looks and mumbled nasty things while both macys employees encouraged the behavior, one customer finished her transaction and walked away with her young daughter commenting nasty comments toward me which i will admit I did told her to F-off , then other older customer lady still at counter started insulting me , I had already ask another macys employee to get manager , older customer lady was very rude to the point I had to remind her that the profanity she was using wasn't very lady like and to mind her own business that she didn't know the whole story lady got more upset that she was called out , but it's done my Point to explained the ordeal , is that we are the customers I get it theirs rude people out their the whole incident should of been treated different by the 2 macys employees, acknowledging the customer (me) I saw they where busy making that eye contact with me gave me the go ahead to interrupt and the answer I got was wrong a simple (im sorry as you see we are very busy ) not the confrontation attitude, this is getting to long with that said , I will no longer be shopping at this macys location I have work with both macys employees in the past the older lady has been rude In the past too but I have given her the benefit of doubt retail can be stressful, but after this experience no , highly don't recommend this macys location at all sometimes when employees have been their for a while they feel superior almost like the store is theirs , and that's unacceptable you have a job cause of the customer no one should be treated like I did and encourage other customer to be mean . Stopped by on the weekend to return some items I bought my parents. I forgot my receipt so I asked to cashier if I should pull up the order on my phone (since I ordered online) or pull up my Macy's account. She told me no and that she could pull my order if I had the card I used. I had it so we did it that way. However, when she pulled up my order... - The total return was $104 (plus some cents) though it should have been $123.27 - She also told me she could give me a $90 gift card and then refund the rest of the balance on my card even though I never used a gift card. I asked her why she was giving me a gift card and she stated that the system was showing I paid with a gift card. I let her know I never did nor did I have any Macy's credit and she responded with "Well I don't know. That is what it is showing". I asked if she could call a supervisor to check it and see if they could do something different and she said "I don't even know who is here". That is when I got frustrated because she was not even willing to help. She just stood there, lazy. I asked her again, to grab a supervisor and she rolled her eyes and went to the back. Supervisor comes out and looks at the monitor and says "Looks like you paid with a gift card". I said "I understand it shows that but I am telling you I never paid with a gift card. I can pull up my account and show you my order. Can you help me understand why it is showing a gift card". Supervisor just said "I don't know". I then asked them to re-run the return and at this point, I pulled up my online account. Supervisor scanned the barcode on my account and $123.27 (not $104) ALL PAID WITH CREDIT CARD. NO GIFT CARD. When this popped up on the screen, they both were silent. Did not say a word and processed my return in silence. I am incredibly disappointed in their customer service as they did not attempt to even try to fix the problem. I will not shop here again. read more

I really love site to store pick up to save on shipping costs. This store is much smaller than the one at Fashion Valley which I like more because of better selection. But this location is convenient and has what I need. I ordered some cold weather coats for an upcoming trip online during Black Friday for store pick up. One jacket only took 3 days to ship to the store I was able to pick it up today. The quality of the clothes and brands here are very nice. I got a north face jacket for such a great deal. Also picked up a nautica one for an even better deal. Pick is up super easy, just let them scan the barcode on your email and show you ID. The pick up is in the men's department next to the luggage. I like going to the last act section on the second floor for women and juniors which is now all combined. It's a much smaller selection but if you are willing to dig through the racks there are some good deals. The new parking garage is nice but it can get confusing if you are not familiar with it. I usually like to park outside in front of Macy's outside to the parking garage. Overall a small Macy's but it has everything you need. read more

It was impossible to find an open cashier register. I literally walked around the whole store, up and down the escalators just to look for a cashier to check out my items. It was ridiculous. I was even told by one cashier that they couldn't help me and to go around to this or that cashier across the store. But were there any cashiers there? Nope. You can see why this location of Macy's is so empty, because no employee seems to be engaging in their work and when I seem to be interested in something, they either look away or act as if they never saw you there. First things you need to know--I don't like to shop and I was not a big Macy's fan due to multiple experiences there with terrible service. However, they generally have a good selection of women's suits and career style dresses, so sometimes I bite the bullet and I go. My most recent visit was such a pleasant surprise. There is something new at Macy's and it is fantastic! The customer service offered by their new mystylist@macy approach in the women's department is AMAZING! Theresa Doctor, who was my stylist during my recent visit deserves a raise and big kudos from Macy's Corporate. She was attentive to my style needs, brought me choices that matched my taste plus a few options to help me branch out, and then I didn't even have to go search for a cashier. The stylists have cashier options right there is a new small room off of the changing area. Awesome! Theresa finished out my sale by giving me her card with her cell phone number so I could reach her when I am in the store. i was really impressed with the level of service and I let her know it was the best customer service experience I have ever had in Macy's. If they want to survive, brick and mortar stores really have to reconsider how they can offer more to their customers. Clearly Macy's is working on this and it shows. read more

The good part of Macy's: every time I come in here, the stuff I need is on sale. Today I needed a pair of business casual shoes and there was a large # of them on sale. The time before, I needed a belt, and lots of them were on sale. And my visit before that? It was their store-wide semi-annual sale. Maybe I am just good with my timing, I don't know. The bad part: customer service. For one, the sales people don't seem to be around when you need them. Also, they generally aren't the most polite people in the world. The Asian woman in Macy's jewelry department treated me with such contempt, as a typical stereotypical RACIST would. SHE called security upon sitting down with us. Explained to security that she was showing a diamond, then proceeded to lock the jewelry case each and every time she opened the jewelry box. Told my fiancee't to wait to propose in May of the next year, because the diamond would cheaper. IMAGINE!! Yes, this happened!!!! However you do receive less customer service and things are more cluttered but the bottom line is you save a few bucks. I try to park on their side of the lot as it's less crowded even during the holiday rush and its a great location to get to the mall.
