I visited there today along with 150 students and staff from my school to enjoy Korean cuisine. The food was really amazing and the service was incredibly impressive. One of our more solid local chicken spots. I prefer this location compared to the others but fair warning, it does get packed on Bell during peak hours. Food is always on point. Definitely love their fried chicken. And the parmesan fries are deeelish! If I'm on the hungrier side, I'll usually order myself a burrito bowl. I guarantee you won't ever leave feeling hungry. The wait is always so long, so unfortunately this isn't really the place for a quick meal. I've been here twice once when the restaurant was packed and once when it was nearly completely empty. Somehow, I waited around an hour to get the food after ordering each time- and I only ordered the chicken! If you have the patience to stick around long enough, the wings are delicious. I tried the boneless wings my first time there and it was so dry that I avoided it for two years. The second time, I got bone in and that was delicious. Mad for Chicken is consistently a great dining experience across all locations. Good for groups that are big or small, it brings a fun energy and ambiance for a get together. They have great options for drinks, and I often go with one of the soju pitchers. They also have had a long-running Yelp promo, where when you check in on the app you can get a free lychee soju shot! I ordered the half and half wings and kimchi fries. The wings were great and had a lot of meat on them. My preference is the soy garlic flavor, but both are great and you have to try half and half at least once. The real showstopper is the kimchi fries - they are perfect every time! I pick up chicken from this place every once in a while when I'm craving korean fried chicken, but I was pretty surprised by how expensive it got. They used to give a lot more radish and corn on the house, but now it's just a small tub of radish. I usually get the medium sized wings with half-half sauce, and I typically eat like 7 pieces and feel pretty full. This time, there was too much sauce on the spicy wings, and the soy sauce chickens weren't flavorful enough. It's good and I would order again but once in a blue moon. read more

Arrived there to watch the Superbowl between the Eagles and Kansas City. I sat all the way at the end of the bar because it was very busy. It took a very long time before this bartender by the name of "Launa" gave me any service. 30 minutes or more later I finally ordered my first drink and after it arrived, she asks me if I wanted the bill. I told her no since I just got there. For the rest of the night, she ignored me. I saw her laughing and congregating with other customers. I eventually had to ask another waitress for help. Unlike Launa, she was very sweet and kind. She took care of my food order since I was starving and all my drinks for the rest of the night. This is why I won't give this place 1 out of 5 stars. I understand that it was very busy but there was no excuse for Launa's behavior. I've never met her before and I didn't do anything to deserve that type of treatment. This leads me to beleive that since I was Hispanic, I mightve been discriminated against. If I'm the owner of this place, I would consider firing Launa unless he or she wants either the business to suffer or a lawsuit. Good luck. read more

I have no idea how this place still exists. The food is very low quality, greasy and over priced. I have eaten there 3 times and each time it destroyed my stomach. I will never eat there again. The quesadilla was pretty expensive in my eyes, given that it was made up of regular pantry items I have in my kitchen & the flavor wasn't anything exceptional. The second time was so much better. Really Great food I like their Tteok-Bokki which has been the only thing I've gotten since I've started coming here last year. Some may think ordering the same thing every time is boring but they do it very well and I have yet to find another place that has mastered this dish the way they have. I am always down for fried chicken and French fries. Even better, Mad for Chicken has grilled corn on their soft opening menu. Although the pandemic has forced restaurants to quickly change and adapt to new policies and operations, Mad for Chicken has done a good job with their spacious restaurant seating. The booth seats are about four feet high and the picnic table seating is four to six feet apart. The wings are not as crispy as I would have liked but the half and half wings were marinated with just enough soy sauce and a tolerable spice level. If you order only drumsticks, the drumsticks in the tray come out twice the size of a regular wing. The service staff had trouble coming to our table in the beginning to order both drinks and food. The menu is constantly changing and certain alcohol selections were not available when my table ordered more than ten different types of liquors, beers, and soju. Since MFC is still in the soft opening phase, I hope there is a smaller and more consistent menu in the future. read more

We were pleasantly surprised about the frying technique and the simplicity yet flavorful party of taste buds happening when you bite into every wing! Nothing is greasy. I figured since I'm always in Bayside it was time to try the Mad for Chicken location here. The one thing that I appreciate about this place is that their outdoor dining is legit and everything's very spaced out, unlike some other places I noticed when walking down Bell's Boulevard. The server was also wearing proper PPE (again, unlike other places) and was super helpful. We ordered the kimchi fries and the jalepeño cheddar boneless chicken. The fries in and of itself were quite mediocre but the spicy mayo and kimchi did help. As for the chicken, albeit the sauce was good, the chicken itself was super soggy and I don't know about most people but I like my tenders to be on the crispier side. The drinks, however, were quite good and if I do return I'll focus more on this than anything else. Glad to see that they were doing well despite the current situation of things. read more

A little disappointed. I was expecting big juicy wings and what we got were these tiny tiny wings that were maybe 1-2 bites a piece. They were tough and very dry on the inside. We also waited a really long time for them. We knew it would take a while, and were willing to wait for good wings, so we ordered an app, but the app came out with the wings at the same time which was strange. We got dumplings and both the wings and dumplings came out cold. The staff is 10/10 incredible, everyone is so welcoming and nice, but the food is definitely not it for me sadly. We ordered the 20 piece Signature Soy Garlic Glazed Wings, Avocado Salad, French Onion Soup, Nachos and a white rice The wings were scrumptious, I even requested ranch & blue cheese dressing but didn't use them because the wings were so crunchy on the outside but tender, moist & delicious on the inside......you don't need a dip The avocado salad was equally delicious and the dressing was to die for......literally. It consisted of mixed greens, avocado slices, grape tomatoes and a olive oil & sesame dressing. That dressing can be poured on a flip flop and the flip flop will taste delicious Then French onion soup was good but it needed a little more salt. Always eat the dip while it's piping hot......I waited because I was scarfing down the avocado salad and chicken wings first The nachos were okay, not spectacular in my opinion. There were red, white & blue tortilla chips (the red ones were stale). The beef chili had a weird taste like it had sesame oil/teriyaki sauce in it, When I have nachos, I assume it's got taco seasoning in it. The menu description says "tortilla chips, Monterey & cheddar cheese, beef chili, corn, pick jalapeño slices and spicy crema on top". I didn't really taste the cream but we did go late to eat so perhaps they were running low. We will try the nachos again when we go back the next time I definitely recommend this place. The hostess & waitresses were very nice, helpful and patient with me and my 20 questions. It wasn't very crowded but we went around 10:00pm after coming from the movie theatre. read more

Mad For Chicken has long been considered the best Korean fried chicken spot in Queens. Built on the bones of the former Uno's Pizzeria and Grill on Bell Boulevard, MFC Bayside is a great addition to the area. MFC has a large indoor area as well as a very large outdoor dining area (which may not be open now due to the cool weather). Decor is modern and cool and the mural on the side of the building is pretty neat to look at if you're into street art. The menu here is pretty standard for a Korean fried chicken restaurant - soy garlic or spicy flavored wings along with a bunch of Korean fusion foods like kimchi fries, kimchi fried rice, fried dumplings and other goodies. The chicken here is really good. The wings are crispy and fried perfectly. The boneless chicken here is white meat only so if you're partial to dark meat, stick to the wings or drumsticks. The soy garlic sauce is good and their spicy wings are actually spicy. Food here was tasty and prices were reasonable. Service was prompt and friendly. Definitely a thumbs up. read more

Let me start off by saying that 95% of the negative reviews have nothing to do with the actual restaurant itself. I read a negative review about this spot that had more to do with GRUBHUB than the actual establishment... pretty ridiculous. Someone else complained that the menu did not contain as many options as the one in Flushing (heads up, we just experienced a horrible pandemic and you're complaining because their menu isn't long enough 3 months into the pandemic).. once again ridiculous. Now that we got that out of the way, this place is dope as hell! Chicken is just as good as the one in flushing(been going to the one in flushing for at least 3 years), they hired some really cool and nice servers, the ambience is really chill as well. Also, the manager Danny is THE MAN. This guy really knows how to make ppl feel comfortable in an establishment. If you're reading this, just do me a favor : show some empathy and understanding towards our current climate. Thins are getting better every day and so is this restaurant. read more

Definitely the hip new place in town. The outdoor dining is buzzing. There was an issue with DoorDash - not MfC's fault - so we had to pick it up (hence why I got a glance of the outdoor dining). In terms of the food, the bulgogi over rice ($15) was pretty bland and not particularly exciting. I think part of that was because the food wasn't picked up quickly, but we ended up having to add a bit of other flavor and contents to the dish. For the price, I was hoping for more. The chicken was good. Solid. About the same quality as BonChon with a slightly higher price tag. The flavors tasted practically the same. I look forward to trying the food again and re-examining my review and rating. read more
