I'll start with the bad: We waited ALMOST AN HOUR for a VERY SMALL and SIMPLE to-go order. Pathetic. Not even worthy mentioning the excuse they gave us. It was a Wednesday during lunch time. The good thing? The wings were delicious. Of course they were a bit cold because 1 of us got their order within 15 mins, and then about 30 minutes later the last order finally came out. They should have offered a complimentary drink while we waited sitting at the bar for that hour... That would have helped with this review and we would want to come back. read more

I went to this spot to try some of their Korean fried wings. I was not disappointed, wings were very good and hot (temperature and spice). I think I chewed through the bones on few of them (guess I was hungry). Loaded chili fries were great. Waiting staff were very friendly and checked up in us multiple times, which was great. It was not a game night so the place felt more like your local bar with some great wings, which I enjoyed. Overall great, would go back again soon! read more

Stopped in here prior to going to a game at the Prudential Center. On EACH table there was a happy hour special menu. We ordered the wings and the fries and one drink each. Once our food/drinks were delivered, we never saw our server again. We were never asked if we wanted a refill, if things were okay, and/or if we wanted anything else. We had to flag down a busser to bring us ketchup. When the bill came, the prices were more than what was reflected on the hour hour menu. When I had to take it to the bar to bring it to the bartender's attention, his response was "did you not read the menu?" Very small at the bottom, it does state that the prices are not valid during game nights. Fair, but why have the signage out during nights were there is a game? Or when we referenced we were planning to order off the happy hour menu, the server could've stated that those prices were not valid that day. Any type of communication would've sufficed. The bartender did end up changing the prices and seemed annoyed to have to do so. The customer service was non existent and due to this, if I am in the area again I will find other options before entertaining returning here again. read more

Never able to try the food. Seated in the back of the restaurant and there we were.....invisible. Waited over 15 minutes staring at every server and no one even came to the table to say a word. The owners consistently understaff this place, making it extremely hard to enjoy anything here. This is not the staff's fault; I once heard staff advocating on the phone to the management that they need more staff. The last time I went, there was one person bartending and cooking. Truly unacceptable. The food is good, and the bar selection is extensive, but management needs to wake up and realize that if you are understaffed on any given day, this will require them to step in. Service is worst at best. 20 min before anyone came to our table. Another 10 for water. Now we know why American Whiskey and Redds are packed on game days. Excellent chicken tenders in your sauce of choice. I recommend the spicy garlic sauce. I also had spicy fried dumplings. Despite the restaurant being slammed with patrons due to a NJ Devils hockey match, the two "sistas" that were seating guests, waiting on tables and working the bar did a flawless job. Recently went to an event at the Prudential Center, Newark and tried Mad for Chicken aka MFC a trendy Korean style restaurant walking distance from arena. Been to MFC on Long Island years ago and enjoyed their menu which was updated a bit and enjoyed so much now I can't wait to revisit on my return home. "No Brainer" of course since they're known for their fried chicken wings I started with appetizer wings garlic soy sauce flavor that were fresh, tender and crispy to perfection! In addition we chose a Kimchi Quesadilla loaded with cheeses, kimchi, pico, corn and outside light spicy cream sauce that was a favorable combination. Already stuffed and satisfied our main entree to share was a Bulgogi Bowl consisting of marinated beef, glass noodles, steamed veggies, lettuce with a sunny side egg on top & and light teriyaki spicy sour cream dressing that was amazing and definitely fore filling! We were extremely satisfied with our entire visit to MFC,Newark. The meal portions were perfect and priced very reasonable, hats off to the Chef as well to the excellent service. Btw forgot to mention our pre dinner drinks at the bar before we sat were excellent, thank you again. read more

I was excited when the notification popped up for this restaurant since I have been looking for a new wing n tenders spot in newark. But 28$ for 20 tenders is a little steep. Then I saw the photos and the tenders look like the size of my fingers and I have tiny hands. There's only 2 flavors for the wings/tenders soy garlic and spicy soy garlic.... I need more variety. These better be the best spicy soy garlic wings I ever had in my life. Oh and 8$ for fries I will definitely be skipping those. I will be back next week with an update as I will be trying them, I will give them a chance. We'll c how it goes. read more

If it were possible to leave zero stars, I would. We went here before a Devils game, we were seated at 5:15, place was not overly busy. Yet it was 10 minutes until a waiter even came to our table. Then we waited another 20 minutes for our drinks to come back, all of the beers were flat and two of the beers were wrong. Then it took another 20 minutes to correct that. We placed an order for food, and finally after a half hour we decided to cancel the food because it still hadn't arrived and it was almost time to go in the arena for the game. We spent over an hour here and never got to even try the food because the service was that bad. It wasn't even that busy, but the place appeared to be extremely understaffed. I can't recall ever going to a restaurant with this lack of service. if you're looking to go somewhere before a Devils game or any other event at nearby Prudential Center, I urge you to go to American Whiskey, or Redds, or literally anywhere else. read more

This place was a great location and convenient to the Prudential Center. The staff here need to be prepared for an event and tonight they were not. The service was incredibly slow and it wasn't even that busy! We ordered the half and half chicken tenders which was spicy soy glaze and regular soy glaze. The spicy soy was way too hot and the chicken tasted rubbery. They never brought us fries and charged extra for dipping sauces such as blue cheese and ranch. The drinks were subpar. Spicy is good for those who like heat slow afterburn. I'm not into that heat) i also had crabmeat salad and kimchi/parmesan , very addictive. Beer selection is good too. I get to try a new beer every time I go. They have specials on different days of the week so normally I'd go when buy 1 get 1 half off. So I get to bring home left overs. Today I visited this location and was poorly attended. There was a person there tending a table who saw me enter the restaurant. I waited patiently because he was tending a table. A "Caucasian" man walked in and the person tending the table looked over to where "we" were standing. He decided to walk over and asked the "caucasian man" if he could help him. The caucasian man said, "she was here first." He turned to attend to me, but it was cleared that he dreaded it so both myself and the stranger (Caucasia man) left the restaurant, because it is obviously discriminative. The person who was there was from India. This location is in Newark. Perhaps he needs to be educated on customer service as well as being culturally appropriate. read more

If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would. This is by far the worst dining experience that I have ever had in life. The service is deplorable and they need to be shut down immediately. I went there for lunch with my partner and we ordered the lunch special. She ordered the 5 wings and fries and I ordered the 5 tenders and fries (both were soy garlic). The chicken tenders didn't have much sauce but it was fine. They were decent with the ranch dressing and the fries were fresh. We sat at the bar and the bartender was extremely rude to the patrons and her colleagues. She used profanity as she hung up on people calling to place orders. Then she said that she hated working there and she hated everyone else who worked there. Last but not least, she said she wanted to kill herself after her cigarette was moved from the bar. I could not believe that an establishment would have someone like this working there and allow her to speak that way in front of customers. I forgot to mention that she yelled how much she hated black people, which was odd since she was black herself. When we left we called to speak to a manager. Immediately we knew it was this very same bartender that answered the phone and immediately she said NO YOU MAY NOT then proceeds to hang up before I could respond. I'm honestly so shocked. I have reached out to the owner via social media and their website but I haven't received a response yet. If you can avoid this restaurant, avoid at all cost. Such a disappointment. We read the reviews about how horrible the service is, but didn't think it could be that bad, but it was. We waited over 25 minutes at a table and never saw a server. The tables around us who arrived earlier all left without being helped. We finally followed, went over to the extremely busy biergarten, and were able to get our drinks and food in record time. This place is right next to the Prudential center and is in the perfect location, especially if you are going to a kpop concert or any event next door. The place pretty big and I love how you order and sit down and they will bring the food to you. The korean fried chicken here is authentic. It's just a little pricey for what it is especially if you are familiar with what it should cost. The fries here are also good, but also expensive. This place doesn't provide complimentary water, which they should. Overall, I had a good meal and it was the perfect spot to eat before my concert. I would eat here again and definitely recommend trying this if you are looking for something to eat before an event next door. It is in the same location as the old Dinosaur BBQ. We went there before a Devils game and it was jammed. They were having trouble with their POS computer system so things were really backed up. I hope in a couple of months they have all of the kinks worked out and it is running more smoothly.
