They also have a cold buffet where raw veggies, noodles, seafood and eggs are available. The sauce station, soft drinks and ice cream are also self-serve. We ordered the premium option and a lamb shank. I personally enjoyed the Angus Beef, Australian Wagu, fried rice, chow mein and spring rolls, it was all amazing. AYCE lunch is a crazy deal! $25.99 per adult before 3:00pm on weekdays, unless you opt out of the sauce bar which saves you $6...so you only pay $19.99. Nuts! You have 5 meats to choose from and a variety of broths. The only split pot option is for the original broth and spicy (glad we got less spicy). I personally favor the tomato broth and tom yum broth. Standards are lower since it's $19.99 AYCE, so nothing to complain about for quality of meat. The spicy beef was a popular reorder. They have a huge selection in the raw ingredient bar, and we loved the quail egg, ramen, and spongey tofu. All the veggies were fresh. Top off with soft serve (chocolate, vanilla, mixed) either in a cone or to-go cup and you basically don't even need to eat dinner. The premium beef and abalone were limited in quantity, but the other meats on the menu were unlimited. The soup bases were very flavorful and maintained good for several rounds of food. One thing we were not happy about was that we found a hair in one of our sauce dishes. It was quite a disgusting experience, given we ate directly from the sauce dish. The premium meat menu is worth it: we loved the 2 wagyu options, the 2 spring lamb options, the fried donut, and the sweet crispy rice cake with the brown sugar center. Off the classic meat menu, the angus beef wasn't tender and we didn't like the fish ball with roe (usually a favorite)- so skip those, but we did like the beef short plate. 2 cons: (1) for an AYCE meal that costs $100+ after tax/tip for 2, I was disappointed that they limited the amount of wagyu orders. I understand capping the amount of wagyu per round, but only 1 order the entire meal? Disappointing! (2) the restaurant completely lost power and unfortunately we weren't able to finish our meal. On top of that, there wasn't reliable cellular signal, so electronic payment was very difficult. I enjoyed the vegetable bar and found most of my go to's, although some people missed some favorites (ex: bok choy). The spicy broth was okay, but I didn't enjoy some of the spices added to it that overpowered its overall flavor. I found myself dipping into my sauce more than I would with a good broth. The mild "original" broth was bland and should be skipped. Service was very attentive. Some of the menu options were unique (ex: "crunchy crouton"), although it wouldn't be enough to bring me back personally. In the end, it was just under $100 after tip/tax for two people. They've done a little remodel since the last time I came to this Dublin location, as all the vegetables and noodles are now in a self-serve bar and you just order the meats with the waiter, which I thought sped up service so much more. It's located in a shopping center with an abundance of parking. So no problem there. About a year or so ago, they changed it to all you can eat style which does save a lot of money. And then they have bar style get up and grab your own fish balls, noodles, veggies, etc. You can pay 1.99 extra a person for sauce bar, drinks, and ice cream machine. The ice cream machine was broken. So I felt a jipped. The guy didn't tell us and he asked if we want to add on the extra 1.99 when ordering. Only realized it when we were done eating and went to try and get ice cream. The amount of different "balls" is great! They have fish balls, fish tofu filled with shrimp, meat balls, crab balls, pork balls, etc. They also have a lot of variety of noodles and veggies. The quality of meat is okay. Not amazing but it was pretty decent. I would have given this place 4 stars but the service knocked it down a star. Ever since seating us and ordering our first batch of meats (they said limit of only 3 meats at a time), nobody ever checked in on us. Not one person came by to ask if we wanted to order again. As of 2024, all Happy Lamb locations have adopted an all-you-can eat model, varying across locations and states (as far as I can tell). And while I think AYCE was the right business move, it certainly changed how I feel about this place. Happy Lamb used to feel like a place where you get special treatment with high quality food. Now it's extremely crowded. Over 20 minutes of waiting before a receptionist showed up. Neon birthday signs. Really, really annoying children nursery music. Kids running around. AYCE self-serving bar for anything besides beef. No more drinks, just diluted fountain soda. This model caters to Chinese immigrants, and that's exactly what the clientele has turned into. The meat is still great, but it's a little less appetizing when you have to pick up seafood and veggies fondled by everyone else, especially when you have to fight your way through a crowd every time. They got rid of some things like the lamb pancakes and lamb meatballs, but now they have fried chicken, egg rolls, and fried mochi desserts.
