My wife and I have tried multiple times to eat here but it's usually too busy and there is no place to park. Make sure you come at the off-peak hours if you are in a hurry. It's worth the wait if you have the time. We came at 1 PM and managed to find a parking spot. The fried chicken was already sold out which is what I really wanted to try. I've heard it's amazing, but I ended up getting the shrimp steak sandwich and it was very good. Like I didn't expect it to be that good. I substituted the fries for onion rings and they were good. My wife got the fries and they were very good - extra crispy with the right amount of crunch. We also ordered some rolls and cornbread. The raspberry spread was a nice addition to the roll. My wife and I are in our 40s and we felt like a young couple again as we sat in in our car and ate. We were surrounded by senior couples enjoying the food. Next time we're passing through Brigham city I would definitely stop here again. read more

We love this place. I always get the taste of Maddox which is a small serving of 3 favorites. The rolls and cornbread are sooooo good. Wyatt was our server and he was so great. We did not have to wait for anything. He brought our salads with extra ranch the first time and filled our drinks and rolls without us even asking. He has a great personality and humor. When we got here the parking lot was full and seemed really busy. Our servers name was JT, seemed to be in a rush every time he came to the table, not personable, food was okay but not amazing, cheese on my burger wasn't even melted, tomato was the butt, meat was alright and green beans were disgusting. Never once did he come and check on the table after he would drop anything for the table, not even once, hurried us for the check, we asked to get dessert and after he drops the dessert off then immediately dropped the check... Ate here during one night stop over on our way to Sedona. We ordered the 6 oz filets. Immediately knew we would be stopping in again on our return trip. They were the largest "6oz" steaks I've seen. Very tender, tasty and lean. Less than half price I would have to pay here in Seattle. Incredible steak from a local source. They have a variety of cuts you can choose from, as well as burgers, sides etc. They also serve complimentary roles with a signature spread. It's got loads of staff so they are on top of stuff, it may or may not be slightly noisy depending on how busy it is, but you can definitely still have conversations no problem. Maddox is the type of place your grandparents love to go to. The place they bring you to every time you come to visit. The type of place where everyone with a classic car comes just to park it in the parking lot and chat. But what's different about Maddox is that not only do your grandparents love this place, you do too. It serves down-home, no-frills classics. We're talking steak and potatoes, rolls to start, and a fruit pie to finish. But it's all so delicious. You won't get any trendy dishes or new-age twists, but you won't miss them at Maddox. In fact, it would feel wrong to see them on the menu. You can't go wrong with anything here! All the steak dishes and the fried chicken are total classics. I had the prime rib and my wife had the turkey steak, both awesome as well. Perhaps our favorite thing to get here is the shrimp steak though. Its tough to describe but completely delicious. Maddox has been the 'go to' place in Box Elder County and Northern Utah for years. Yes, there are those who give this place something less that five stars, but they are probably the ones who don't like anyone or anything; you know the type. I have had most everything on the menu except for the buffalo, and have yet to find any fault. The neat thing is, Grandpa Maddox developed the food and after three managements and still in the Family, things stay the same (except now you have to ask for honey for your roll). I am 82 years old and have no reason to lie about food, of all things. Try their drive in! The drive in does more business than tree other places in town combined. read more

Horrible. My husband and I go 2-3 times a month, usually on Thursdays because we love the cream of chicken soup. Not anymore. Last few times the soup was full of blobs of the thickening agent. Gross. Server replaced it with some from a new batch. Same thing. Never did bring me the salad replacement. Still charged me full price for an incomplete meal. She did give me a piece of pie that looked like it was melting and missing most of the crust. Very disappointed in a restaurant that charges $20+ a meal. We LOVE Maddox. We live just over the mountain and stop often when heading south. We usually call in an order to the take out cabin. This is honestly our first unpleasant experience! The food is always good, however the service was terrible today. I understand having a bad day, I work with people every day at my place of work and I know how important it is to be patient and how customer service isa must for reputation. The lady at the take out was very raunchy. We returned for fry sauce which we ordered but did not receive. She was incredibly rude! Telling me repeatedly it was there and to look again. When I said it wasn't she yelled "and who are you?" Yikes! Wow! Even a bad day is no excuse for talking to people as such. read more
