You cannot go wrong with this spot at all! I came on two separate occasions and tried two different things. The first time I came, I got the daily bento with bulgogi ribeye. I loved the variety of small dishes they had in the bento, including the japchae, spring rolls, kale tempura, curry, and others. Great variety and high quality ingredients. The second time I came I tried the stone pot bibimbop with the bulgogi ribeye. Everything was cooked to perfection and the accommodating gochujang flavored everything so well. Also get their drinks, they are good too. Warning though, there is usually quite a line here on weekends so be prepared! read more

Sister spot to the better imo bop box. Combining Korean with other Asian fusions just like Panda Express did with Chinese American food. Their daily bento is 5/5 especially if you dine in. The other items feel ok and not as special. I come here a lot and always get the bento with braised tofu. The service is always amazing and vibes are always good. It's interesting how they charge less for take out - it also seems like the portion is smaller/ less items in the bento for takeout vs dine in. read more

I finally got around to trying this place and I am in love. I've been waiting for Seattle to have good Korean food. This place does mainly bibimbap--fresh ingredients, creative plays on original bibimbap flavors, super cute ambience and the nicest staff you'll find in town. I was impressed. I ordered the mom's medley bibimbap, with bulgogi beef and jalapeño chimichurri--delicious. I also tried the passion fruit spritzer, I'm a sucker for a good Italian soda, this one is better. I got bibimbop with soy tofu and hot hop sauce and my friends got banchan plate. - very filling, I guess the pricing makes sense (it's expensive but Seattle normal imo) - I think the bibimbop is a better use of ingredients bc some of the dishes in banchan are varying quality vs the bibimbop is a more uniform experience. For example, the eggplant and cucumbers in banchan are good but the jacobsen is a bit undercooked and the tempura was very not fresh. - stone pot rice is very good and crunchy. very hot. - highlight was passionfruit drink. Very good. Service is really good, everyone is really friendly and nice. And general ambience is very nice. It kind of feels like a gentrified Korean restaurant ^__^ (in a neutral way) I would come here again but I don't think I'm dying for it. read more

Came here on a Sunday when it was incredibly busy, and while intimidating decided to brave the chaotic interior and long line. So glad we did because it was absolutely worth it! The food was delicious but what really stood out to me was the service! Everyone is so kind and attentive despite it being so busy. This place is terrible value for very mediocre food. Here's the simple breakdown. A staple dish(bibimbap) will be 22$++ for most dishes. (2024) 85 percent of the dishes are rice and noodles (this part has very little seasoning, very easy to make very cheap , could make yourself at home for 1-2 dollars quick) If you got bulgogi it's not seasoned , also not sauced ? Low flavor , cheap cuts of meat And finally a few spinach leaves Raw added on top. If you want some cheap sauce (gauchang for example which can be bought trader Joe's or 99 ranch etc) they will charge you a dollar for a dime sized portion ? And won't include it on many dishes. (Do not expect any pickled veggies or kimchi sides without extreme cost to portion size ratio) Any pickled veggies or Kimchi also dime sized portions. 22 dollars ?? Try any other place for better flavor and value. I'm pretty sure they used bots to Kickstart their social media / Google pages, now it's a self sustaining parasite. read more

The food was so yum and the vibes are really cute, it's in a cute part of Fremont next to a bunch of shops. The people are sooo nice they remade my friend's order when it rang up wrong with veggies instead of noodles. It was very kind of them!! :) Kinda expensive but sooo yummy so will be back! I had the Bibimbop and Mashed Strawberry Milk. I enjoyed both! The food was sizzling hot, which made the rice a bit crunchy! There was a crispy kale topping on the Bibimbop, while was insane! I have never tasted such tasty kale! For me it was the highlight of the dish! The service was very good. There was some confusion while ordering and I got the tofu instead of chicken as protein, and they gave me additional chicken on the side to make up for it. I was okay eating the tofu since it was tasty, but they insisted on fixing the order, and I throughly enjoyed the chicken too! Ambience is fun, I sat on the communal table. I enjoyed it. The place is small and cozy. Even though it was full it was not loud. Great vibe. It's a bit expensive, so I won't frequent the place, but I would be back when I am craving some good Korean food. read more

The portion was filling but not too big, and I love how flavorful every item was and how they added subtle spins on traditional dishes to create something delicious and modern. Been meaning to try this place after they started serving japchae but have always missed out because of their limited hours. Even though I live within walking distance they aren't open much which is the only thing I wish was better. The japchae was delicious, I got the bulgogi option. The kimchi friend rice was also great, nice spice and lots of kimchi. I also love their prepared foods so I picked up some packaged kimchi as well. My favorite were the kimchi pancakes (not pictured), so crispy and flavorful. Overall this is a cute little additional to the Fremont neighborhood and hopefully they'll be open longer/more days of the week in the future! read more

Made in House serves up fresh and delicious fare. I ordered the stone pot bop with plenty of flavorful bulgogi and the jap chae with marinated tofu. Each bowl is a mix of seasoned noodles, veggies, and a protein of your choice. They also offer a bibimbop, and on the menu it says that the different between that and the stone pot bop is that the latter is more protein heavy. I found the amount of bulgogi generous enough, but I think I would have been disappointed with less so am glad I chose the stone pot bop. The beef was ground (not the thin slices that I am used to but good nonetheless) and high quality, and the tofu had a nice texture and taste. Perhaps I would have liked a few more fresh vegetables on the stone pot as promised on the menu, but the arugula that was included provided a necessary balance. When you stop in, don't miss the drink case; there are some great offerings there, too, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. I only ordered takeout, but I picked it up myself and found the staff very friendly and the space looks bright and inviting. Parking is tricky on that block in Fremont, but there are more spaces a short walk away! read more

**vegetarian review** Made in house is super cute place in the heart of Fremont. I stopped by on a rainy day and got sizzling hot tofu bibimbap with jalapeño chimichurri. The dish is spectacular to look at - very very colourful and definitely sizzling hot. On the whole the ingredients are quite fresh. I knock of stars mainly for 2 reasons. The sauce wasn't great. In fact I had to get extra hot sauce to actually enjoy the dish. Secondly personally this felt a little too overpriced. I paid ~22 including tip for a vegetarian bibimbap. On the whole worth checking out but I'll probably go very infrequently. Not a everyday lunch spot. read more

Great food! This place was packed on a Friday lunch time- and for good reason. Limited seating in the shop and a few patio options. Fresh options and great serving sizes, I would 100% return for a bibimbap (made with the purple multigrain rice). vegan and veggie options on menu as well. Been dreaming about these stone pot bibimbaps from Made in House. We passed by after walking around the Fremont Sunday Market and we're not disappointed with the taste and QUALITY of the fresh ingredients The front bowl was the Bopbowl with Gojuchang Chicken that came with rice, japchae noodles, seasonal greens, pickled onions, nori and sesame seeds ($20). The back bowl is the Mom's Medley with Bulgogi Ribeye, that came with a choice of sauce, veggies, rice, and a sunny side up egg ($20). I personally liked the mom's medley bowl better than the bopbowl because it felt like it was a much better portion for what you're paying for. However, I thought the gochujang chicken was better than the ribeye, because they don't give that much side sauce The side sauce we picked was the jalapeño chimichurri which was good but the gojuchang flavor was better. As for the service, since it was our first time there, the cashier did an amazing job explaining how to order! He did explained what was inside each bowl and gave us recommendations! The restaurant itself had indoor and outdoor seating. We came at a pretty busy hour, so the inside was completely full and we had to sit outside. It had a rustic feel with wooden furniture, but great natural light with all the windows. If you're looking to treat yourself to fresh and yummy bibimbaps, I would recommend stopping by! read more

(3.5) The inside of this place is small, so limited seating space. The staff was friendly, the guy had helped me choose my protein for the japchae. I got the spicy pork, which I thought was really good, along with my friends saying the bulgogi was good too. The reason the rating wasn't high was that the chicken my friends had picked for the protein was dry and the portions were okay for how it's priced. Overall, solid place! read more

The place was packed and good vibes! Not too much seating be ready to fight for a spot. The prices are like gourmet level $$$ two dishes, drink, and kimbap $60+. A bit pricey imo... The barley tea has a weird herbal aftertaste but the glass straw was fun! I drink a lot of barley and $4 is kinda rip... Worth a try! this is a very ~seattle~ restaurant (cute aesthetics, fusion, simple healthy menu, nice plating). it's by no means "authentic," rather, it's a perfect place to grab lunch with friends or on a date when you want to try korean with a creative twist. we came in on a sunny spring sunday at around noon and were lucky to nab a seat. we ordered a bulgogi bibimbop in a stone pot and the banchan set. the banchan set is basically a taste of everything: eggplant, miso soup, silken tofu, rice, kale tempura, a protein of choice, etc. there are definitely japanese influences, which was really cool! service was super friendly & accommodating. i wish there was more space but then again, it is seattle. we finished everything and it was delicious. only cons: miso soup was a little too salty for my liking, and i wish there were some protein options that were not so flavorful on the marinade. also it is kinda pricey -- $28 pp, for lunch! read more

I have heard so many amazing things about this restaurant and it really lived up to the hype. They serve non-traditional Korean food out of a cozy store front. The restaurant is set up almost like a little market where you can grab drinks and order food at the counter before finding a table. Service was super friendly but they were understandably busy and kind of hard to get a hold of if you needed anything. Water is self-serve which adds to the chaos. I tried the bibimbap with bulgogi as well as the kimchi pancake and all were delicious! I especially loved the crispy kale in the bibimbap and the jalapeño chimichurri which packed some good heat. Made in House was extremely delicious when I went! Came here after climbing for dinner and enjoyed it. I got the daily bento and loved you could try a bit of everything with this! My friend got the bop bowl and the hot sauce was very yummy. Highly recommend the passion fruit spritzer. You could tell all the ingredients were fresh. The staff was really friendly too. Made in House is tasty but a bit pricey. I got the Bopbowl with grilled chicken. This was rice, a variety of veggies, and chicken, served with a sauce in a hot stone bowl. Everything was delicious and tasted like it was high quality, although I wish they gave more of the sauce. I've come here every weekend for the past 3 weeks and this always hits the spot. Such a cute place with a welcoming vibe and amazing smells as you step in to match. I like the casual walk up nature of the place too! Though I wouldn't recommend this place for big groups, the food is delicious and balanced. The beef is tender, stone is hot, and veggies are amazingly done - though what stands out to me is the god-like kale & the super nice staff. Simply put, lunch is much more casual and affordable than dinner (You order lunch scanning the QR code at the table). If you're on a budget, you can eat lunch here for less than $20. I went here for lunch twice during my business trip last month and here's what I ordered: - Seafood Tofu Soup - $17.50 - A seafood soondoobu (순두부) with a generous helping of soft tofu, shrimp, mussels and clam, served with rice. Delicious, refreshing and not spicy-I bet they could make it spicy if you asked. I enjoyed the texture from the cabbage bits. - Seolleongtang (설렁탕) - $15.50 - Oxtail bone broth served with potato starch noodles and brisket, comes with salt and green onion already added(typically doesn't at other Korean restaurants). High-quality ingredients and flavor, a great comfort food with a generous serving of brisket. - Shaved ice dessert (빙수) - $9.00 - A great combination of cinnamon, ginger cream and fried rice puffs. Delicious and different than other Korean shaved ice desserts I've had that typically have red bean and overly sweet ingredients. If you're on the fence about coming here, maybe try out lunch first. The Food: Octopus, $27 - 5 Stars Served with smoked trout roe and dashima beurrie blanc sauce, this dish is visually attractive and absolutely delicious! One of our top dishes of the night. Paju Fried Rice, $27 - 4 Stars Cooked with kimchi, bacon, squid ink, and quail egg, this dish is one of their most popular dishes. I find squid ink to have a subtle earthy type of sea-umami flavor. The bacon and kimchi are a touch stronger in this combination. It's a good dish, but amongst our five dishes, this one ranked the lowest. Mushrooms, $23 - 5 Stars Served with parmesan cheese shaved so thin it's translucent, white kimchi, and truffle aioli, this dish is the bomb! Excellent for the mushroom lovers, it might convert mushroom haters, too. Lol. Another top dish of the night. Branzino Gui, $51 - 4 Stars Served with four banchan, this dish stands out for its execution - impeccably grilled and plated. The fish is very tender and perfectly cooked. I do think it is a bit plain for the price. Branzino is fairly common in different parts of the world. Ranked 4th for the night. Duck - 5 Stars Duck breast is served with a slice of duck and pistachio pastry plus four banchan. The duck is super tender. The pastry is clever utilizing other bits of duck meat. The simple sauce is very important, adding flavor to the pastry. Also delicious.

It is important to keep in mind this is made to order, and one serving can easily serve four regular appetites. If you're just a couple, you're definitely going to be taking this home with you. This is not a bad thing, as Kalbijjim is one of those dishes that is even better the next day and doesn't suffer from reheating. My group was about seven minutes away, and since I had already checked in on Yelp and there were only two parties ahead of me with no one physically waiting, I asked if I could be seated and order while I waited. I had already been standing inside for about 10 minutes. I was told that although tables were available, seating me ahead of the other parties on the waitlist would be unfair. I understood the reasoning, but she had also asked prior for my order. Her explanation left me confused so i sheepishly said I understood the policy. She already seemed upset by the time i had gotten there. Sometimes we have off days i get that. This place is clearly hit or miss, I've got friends who absolutely swear by it. For me, though, it wasn't anything special and didn't justify the price. If you're looking for Korean food in the area, I've had better experiences with higher-quality dishes elsewhere, especially in Lynnwood.
