We have been going to Melody Nails for a while since it's close to home and convenient. The location is clean and bright, and they usually have availability if you call ahead. Firstly, they were all shocked that I don't want a refill or touch up or nothing to be done to my nails after removal and secondly, they said ya this was not gel regular it was harder to take off and took time. I called the salon the same day to check if they had availability for a classic pedicure, and luckily, they did. The booking process was smooth, and I was happy to get an appointment. The technician working on my toes seemed to be doing a good job at first. However, we had an unfortunate miscommunication that affected my experience. At one point, I saw her holding something that looked like gel, so I interrupted to clarify that I wanted regular polish. She assured me that she wasn't using gel and was actually fixing a broken nail, which I appreciated. I thanked her and went back to using my phone, trusting the process. When it was time for polish, she started applying gel despite my earlier clarification that I wanted regular polish. As soon as I noticed, I stopped her, but she seemed frustrated and told me she now had to remove the gel top coat, file my nails again, and that my charge would be $37 instead of $30 because of this extra step--despite the mistake being hers. I didn't argue, but I left feeling unsatisfied because it was clear she hadn't been listening to me. Additionally, she didn't check in about the nail shape or color until she noticed me looking down, instead of proactively confirming my preferences. The brief massage she did at the end also felt odd since my nails were still wet, making it ineffective. Overall, it seemed like she was either inexperienced or there was a language barrier that affected communication. While I appreciate the effort to fix my broken nail, I wish she had been more attentive to my requests to avoid these issues. read more

I am traveling for business in this area! I needed a pedicure along with acrylic fill. Prior to selecting the location I called inquiring about pricing and services offered. Upon arrival at the location I was greeted with you called I replied yes. I specifically asked them about colors available because I wanted bright but not neon. I expressed this several times being assured they had a color that would meet my desire. Lynn along with another lady attempted to be very helpful to assist me selecting a color despite not being successful. My pedicure was great my technician Ella was kind and did a great job. They were very kind, receptive, and truthful with me, they were not able to do a full Gel X, But, they were happy to invite me in, for a regular Gel Mani and Pedi, which was fantastic! All of the ladies were very nice, to both me, and to all the clients in and out of the salon. They were definitely overbooked. My appointment was 10am for a gel mani and pedi and I sat in the chair for about 15 minutes before someone even brought a towel over. My mani started about 10:20 and my pedi started about 10:30 with a 10am appointment. The nail tech working on my toes kept getting up to do other things like clean the last chair she used or whatnot. Then took forever trying to find the matching non gel color for my toes which they ended up not finding so I had to choose something different. I had such a wonderful experience at this nail salon! I work down the street and I was in desperate need to get a regular manicure and pedicure for my two daughter's first communion. The owner Pauline was such a great help and got me in quickly. She was very sweet and the salon was very clean. It had a calming environment and great chairs to sit in for a nice massage. This was the second time I had gone to the salon. The first time I had a decent manicure pedicure, so I thought I would go back the second time I went there. I was asked three times if I wanted the same color on my hands and my toes I said yes I said I want gel on my fingers and regular polish on my toes. I gave them the color before they started and they asked me again if I wanted the same color on my fingers and toes. I said yes well come to find out after they painted my fingernails. They said they didn't have the color for my toes to match and I said why and they said well we don't carry it but we'll try to find a color similar. They couldn't find a color that matched. They said I could pay extra $20 to have the same gel color put on my toes but it would have to be gel I said absolutely not. That's not what the deal was when I first got there. I will never go back here again. They bamboozled me into getting my nails done there by lying to me in the beginning. Not a professional place at all. This place just wants your money. They kept changing prices and would talk amongst each other to increase and decrease. They kept trying to talk me out of french tips and gel polish. I really wanted this to be my new go to spot for pedicures but unfortunately I was very underwhelmed by my experience. I came in for a full set and a pedicure - the full set was fine and the lady doing my nails was sweet. I get my nails done elsewhere typically so for me I was really looking for a new pedicure spot that wasn't in the OC. However, the pedicure was very subpar in my opinion. My pedicure lasted about 25 minutes give or take (my massage chair hadn't even moved positions on my back thats how short it was) There's no hot rocks, barely a massage, no foot wax - literally nothing special. I added on callus remover AND scrub (which was a $20 up charge) and I feel like for the price I could have paid a bit more elsewhere and gotten more bang for my buck. If you want a treat your self type of pedicure then this place isn't it. Because theres no menu really anywhere online I didn't have any idea what came with the pedicure but because of the high reviews I figured it had to be worth checking out. If you're looking for a basic pedi and mani place then this is a great spot - the staff is friendly and you'll be in and out pretty quickly - however if you're looking for a little more of a premium pedicure experience then I would look elsewhere. read more

Don't trust the bad reviews about this salon. I recently moved to the area and needed to get my nails done before meeting my mother in law. I made an appointment a few days in advance (they get busy!) and was so impressed once I arrived. My sister came with me but didn't make an appointment- even though they said they didn't have enough time due to appointments, they managed to squeeze her in for a pedicure and a wax! Pauline helped my poor nails come back to the lustful pre-COVID condition, all while cracking jokes and laughing along with my sister and I. I really enjoyed getting my nails done here! Everyone is very kind and I got a gorgeous gel from Japan that lasts longer and is super pigmented! The colors are gorgeous.
