cute, instagram looking spot in bellflower! it's in a random location with ample parking! the service was a tad slow for me that morning. i had to remind the waiter for my hot sauce and ask for more water. i got the chiliquiles which were pretty tasty! i couldn't finish it and not sure if i'd order again. i would want to come back and try a different item to eat! check it kit for yourself!

Came here for Monday brunch. Service was great and environment was inviting. Their margaritas were delicious. I had the Chilaquiles Rojo with birria. Enjoyable?!? It was eatable and not spicy at all. Wish it had more meat. I love Mexican food but this time I ate maybe less than half of my meal. The venue was cute, food looks appealing but don't think I'll be coming back again and if I do it will be for the drinks!

3.5 stars. The phood photographs phantastically, but sad to say that the outside doesn't match the inside. Have you ever met someone who looks really put together on the outside only to get a "taste" of them & the inside and outside just don't match? Well. That was my experience with Madre's. The food looks much better than it tastes but whoever designed the food did a stellar job. If you don't have a picky palate and you are fooled by aesthetics, this place is for you, but I'm an authentic kinda gal. If you look really good on the outside, you better be just as good- if not better on the inside.

Although I had such a fun time with my girlfriends when we went here, I'm not sure I would come back just based on what I ordered and tried at the time. I ordered the birria omelette for $20... I was expecting to be wow-ed, but it was very average tasting. The meat needed more seasoning and the consume was lukewarm. I opted for a side salad instead of beans because I was low-carb at the time, so I appreciated the substitution. I was able to try my girlfriend's chilaquiles and they were okay... I think the plating was beautiful but it needed more seasoning! If I were to come back again, I would try their pancakes because those look delicious! Wasn't ecstatic about this visit.

Madres is definitely a spot worth checking out. If you're not in bellflower they have 7 other locations it looked like so you're in luck. The majority of the seating is in their patio that is open door. So in the winter definitely dress warmer. The restaurant is super clean and lively. Lots of servers and everyone is super friendly and attentive. Food wise the chilaquiles were really good! Big portion. Just wish there was more chicken. But flavor was solid. The lates were amazing and they have a big menu. They do coffees flights, mimosa flights, and margarita flights so if you're looking to get a drink it's a good spot for a weekend brunch! Overall place was solid. Would definitely come back!

I was a little worried about this place after reading some reviews in regards the chilaquiles. I Live for chilaquiles ! I came in today, Mother's Day , and there was a wait of course . We waited an hour and 20 minutes and it was worth it ! I ordered the red chilaquiles with no protein and they were actually pretty good ! I notice some reviews state how they were kinda dry and I agree but I ordered extra cheese and red sauce. It helped ! I love how they serve them on top of black beans, which by the way were delicious too! To drink I got a regular cold brew . I love very basic strong coffee! It gave me the energy I needed after eating all those carbs ! We also ordered the French toast and my two year old daughter enjoyed it . They were super thick but we helped cut them. My man ordered something from the American breakfast and he said it was pretty good.. The vibe was pretty chill! I'll definitely come back

I was here 20 days ago for my birthday and today I introduced my husband and two of my kids to Madres after training! Will be back to try everything else! Madres is a nice brunch spot with very accommodating service. The food is pretty good, to me this is definitely a spot where I'd go to treat myself or someone I know. The restaurant is nice, with good music, but mainly outdoors with a patio cover. It was definitely worth the try!

The food was absolutely delicious! My friend had the chilaquiles (verde), it was a little dry, but flavorful. Requested a side of salsa verde & it was great. The churro french toast was UH-mazing. Would definitely order again!!!! We will be back.

Came here for my first time, it was nice inside a little warm inside. Was sat down immediately which was nice. Had a hard time choosing what to eat whether it was sweet or savory. I'm glad I chose the sweet as a friend did savory and I was able to try. I would say I think their sweet is better than the savory dishes. Service was pretty good, had a few mix ups with other tables for drinks and food. Does seem fresh though because it did take awhile for food to come out. I would try again another sweet dish.

This is my first time at this establishment and while the parking isn't abundant the service is phenomenal. They have quite the variety one can appreciate from a breakfast place and the presentation is impressive. Belen especially was quite helpful today. Strongly recommend this joint read more

I came here for my birthday brunch and had the best experience! Way better service than Diosa in downey. Elizabeth and all the staff here were soooo welcoming, friendly, attentive, and even gave me a free waffle on fire for my birthday to blow out. They had the whole place yell happy birthday to me. Service: Whack... we told our waiter our Utensils were dirty and my friends boyfriends water cup was not clean & didn't assist us right away. They took long to take our order. Food: The food was very good. However they waited till they brought everyone's food out to tell me my dish was no longer available. My dish ended up being on the house but the fact they couldn't communicate that with me right away was a little unfair to me. Maybe they need more staff or I just went on a bad day. I went Sunday maybe around noon-ish. This was just my experience, would I try it again? I think I would give it a second chance because the gym food was good. read more

We walked the whole block to find a decent healthy meal for breakfast and checked at least a dozen restaurants and coffee shops and we chose this one. I ordered the avocado toast with cooked salmon on top and capers. The bread was freshly baked. It was so thick I gave the other to my husband who enjoyed it. I piled everything on one bread and it was heaping! The portions are generous. I was surprised. The bread was so amazing! It tasted fresh and the salmon was cooked deliciously. I got some house salsa and it was so good and spicy. I prefer decaf and no where we walked had decaf, and it was good decaf. It's rare any place has decaf that isn't watery. The service was great. We had several people come up to check on us and asked how our food was, and the coffee was freshly made. I eat healthy and I noticed most of these restaurants around charged too much for things that weren't balanced meals with sufficient protein and had over priced oats, but this place had healthy options for good prices. They even had oats where another place we walked by charged about $21 for oats and berries. Here it was waaaaay cheaper! So I was very satisfied with my meal. It was absolutely delicious, balanced, and healthy, with extra to give to my husband. I highly recommend! You health conscious people, come here and get your salmon toast and oats! One place we checked out across the street was out of salmon and avocado and humus! Don't waste your time with other breakfast places. Eat here! This place is super cute and cozy with comfortable seating. read more

Loved, loved, loved this location much better than Whittier. A lot more spacious. Great murals on the outside and plenty of parking. For Easter Sunday, the staff was on point and very attentive regardless of the rainy weather. We were seated quickly. The coffees came out in a timely manner to keep us warm. The food was super delicious. I had the mole chilaquiles which has such a unique flavor, I would order it again. My kids had the churro French toast. First time eating at this restaurant, despite it being very busy the wait was not bad at all. Our server Dominique, was very friendly and warm. We ordered the "toast sampler" (not pictured) and it was great. The two entrées we ordered ("Madres chilaquiles" and "Wilma pan cakes") were a knockout. The chilaquiles were crispy, and the Birria was savory. The pancakes were sweet and fluffy. The condensed milk poured on top with the fruity pebble cereal, really felt like having a bowl of cereal. Got there @9am and no wait time for party of 8. Service overall was amazing. Coffee was really good. The food however, I would give it a 3 out of 10. I got the chilaquiles verdes and they had no flavor whatsoever, tortillas very soggy. Strawberry pancakes are super sweet, get ready for that sugar coma. Churro French toast were not got at all either. We did get a veggie omelette that contained spinach and mushrooms and that was the best of the meal. Kind of felt like we had a dessert meal before our regular meal. Oh and to top it off, they don't have their liquor license at the moment so no alcohol is served. I think this place is all hyped out because the presentation of the plates look amazing, I just wished they tasted as good as they looked. read more

I have never seen this before which I didn't really like because I didn't see anything about a gratuity percentage for parties larger than 4 or 6. We still paid the bill in full including the tip but we still left unsure of it. Update: I was contacted by the owner and after the issue with the waiter adding his own tip, I was refunded that money back. Thank you for correcting this and hopefully it does not happen to others. We will definitely come again.

Even if the cut you're looking for doesn't come pre-marinated, they will marinate it for you if you ask! We ended up purchasing the La Carniceria Meat Market brand meat seasoning to use on the carne picada while grilling and it was superb. I understand that busy times can be stressful, but I don't understand why I was met with such negativity when I approached with a positive attitude and simply followed the pickup instructions. To make matters worse, one of the black gloves the cashier had been using while handling the cheese somehow ended up inside my bag with my shrimp. That was very concerning from a food safety standpoint. I hope management takes this feedback seriously. We recently visited Madres Brunch in Bellflower, we joined the waitlist at 11:30 am arrived and checked in at 12:30pm, but unfortunately, we didn't get seated until 1:30 pm. This long wait was quite frustrating, especially since there wasn't enough covered seating in the waiting area, making it uncomfortable on a hot day. Despite the delayed seating, the staff at Madres Brunch were friendly and accommodating once seated. They made an effort to ensure we were comfortable and attended to our needs throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the food at Madres Brunch fell short of expectations. While the portions were generous and filling, the taste and quality were subpar. The Madres Chilaquiles, which we ordered to share, lacked the desired flavors and could have been much better. The On Fire waffles, though visually appealing upon arrival, were disappointingly dry even with the small scoop of ice cream. The overall dining experience left much to be desired, particularly when compared to other establishments offering similar prices and options. One highlight of the meal was the flight of mimosas, which was enjoyable for sharing with the table. However, it's worth noting that the flight only included three mimosas, which may be insufficient for larger groups or those looking to sample a wider variety. If there's one positive aspect to highlight, it would be the vibes and atmosphere of Madres Brunch. The restaurant exudes a trendy ambiance that adds to the overall experience. However, I would caution potential visitors to manage their expectations primarily when it comes to the food. Taking everything into account, I can only give Madres Brunch a 2 out of 5 star rating. I arrived with a large group and checked in on Yelp at 11 am. I also checked in person at 11:50 and was told the wait would be under an hour. Despite being 4th in line, we waited over an hour due to our party size of 8. After waiting outside for an hour, I inquired with the hostess about the wait time. She showed me her tablet, indicating our party was first on the list, but others were seated before us. We were informed that we had to wait for a party of 10 to finish, even though they had just been seated. Despite available tables next to each other, they couldn't get them connected initially. After 20 minutes, the manager agreed to connect them. The wait for food was an additional half hour. Not to mention, FLIES SWARMING THE RESTAURANT. Our waitress didn't provide water until I asked and didn't check on us. The cold food, overpowering wall fans, and a $50+ gratuity charge for minimal service were disappointing. My husband and I visited this spot for breakfast on Wednesday after our busy schedules had kept us apart during our anniversary, preventing us from having dinner together. I discovered Madres Bruch on Yelp as one of the best places serving Chilaquiles (our favorite), aside from being a top romantic destination for brunch. The ambiance was truly inspiring. We were seated next to the southwest-facing windows, which provided us with a spirited view. We ordered the chilaquiles rojos, which were accompanied by mazapan. They were fresh and well seasoned with sauce dressing, a wonderful way to begin our meal. Later, we tried madres chilaquiles with eggs benedict on the side, which we shared. I wasn't particularly fond of the madres chilaquiles, and the veggies accompanying the eggs benedict were slightly not my fav. Everything else was perfect. The birria eggs Benedict was delicious, it was not overly wet to soak into the bread and the birria had a nice flavor and not too salty. The wilma pancakes are delicious, covered in fruity pebbles and lechera and while on the sweet side already the pancakes themselves are not too sweet, so taking it slow and a balance with other plates made it more palatable and easier to eat. Service is good as well we showed up a bit after a rush hour and with about a 25 minute wait time we were serviced within that time and after ordering we did not have to wait too long to receive our food. Our server Tadeo Martinez came and checked in on us to make sure everything was fine and and patient while taking our order despite a bit of a rush, and also provided recommendations to some of the coffees they offer, my favorite being the pistachio coffee. I frequent Madre's Brunch often and typically enjoy my time here. However, my most recent visit--on my birthday, no less--was disappointing due to the service. Our server, Dominique, was not welcoming and seemed rushed despite the restaurant being slow. Her demeanor was serious and unapproachable throughout our entire visit. When my mom realized she had forgotten to request decaf coffee and apologized for the oversight, Dominique yanked the coffee from her hand without saying a word--no "It's okay" or "We'll take care of it." Later, when my wife quietly tried to ask for candles to celebrate my birthday, Dominique cut her off loudly, saying, "No, no, we don't do candles here," completely disregarding my wife's attempt to keep it low-key. Today was my first time coming by but I've been seeing it all over instagram and honestly it was a cute experience. The food was delicious however I did get the chilaquiles verdes with steak, and they were a little dry so I had to ask for more salsa and the steak could of had more flavor but for $7 more the portion size for steak was a little smaller than I thought it would be. The mimosa flight was delicious and super cute, highly recommend it. Oh and the horchata was sooooo fire! Never had better horchata hahaha. So, I went to Madre's Brunch, and let me tell you, it was like a big party in there! The food menu had a little something for everyone, which was cool. I tried this horchata latte and oh my goodness, it was seriously delicious! I gotta be honest though, the Madres Chilaquiles were just okay, not the best I've ever had. Now, the One birria sandwich was huge, like seriously gigantic. The only thing was, there was maybe too much bread compared to the sandwich stuff, you know what I mean? They had this Michelada flight thing too, which was alright, but I kind of wished there was more of the Michelada mix in each one. AMAZING! Cris and Elizabeth made my birthday brunch super special. They both provided me with excellent customer service, super attentive, and quick. The place is beautiful and calm, the decor is fun and fresh, and just gave off warm comforting vibes. The food was amazing, my boyfriend and I started off with a Birria Omelette and 2 Egg combo. To finish it off we got the Fire waffle and the Strawberry Horchata Pancakes , they were super fluffy, warm and soft. Our meal was the perfect balance between Savory and Sweet. Not all places have it Chilaquiles - you can pick between green sauce, red sauce or creamy chipotle sauce. I LOVE any kind of chipotle sauce.
