LOTS OF INDOOR SEATING; easily able to host big parties and big families. Slow during the week days and busier on the weekends. We went on a Thursday morning at 8:30am and it was empty! Service was friendly and quick. Restrooms are available inside. Hot lattes were delicious but more so "WARM LATTES" and not actually HOT /: which was disappointing but the flavor was good. We got the coffee flight: Pistachio, Chocolate, & Horchata. Food was good but it lacked seasoning - i definitely had to add quite a bit of salt and hot sauce to enjoy it. I would probably go somewhere else if I wanted eggs Benedict. We ordered the Birria eggs Benedict and the chilaquiles. It was good but nothing exciting, I would order something else next time or go to a different breakfast spot. But overall, I left happy but not full.

Came here for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. Very informal brunch spot/diner. Definitely was more casual than expected. We got greeted and shown to a large dining area. We ordered the special coffee flight which includes horchata, macadamia, pistachio, and abuelita. My favorite was the abuelita and macadamia. The horchata was a bit too sweet for me and the pistachio had a weird aftertaste. I got the pork omelette which came incomplete (without the beans). They brought it out after I asked them about it. My husband got the American breakfast with pancakes. Pancake was a bit too salty in some areas. The sausages were a but burnt but they brought out new sausages to make up for it. Overall the food was decent enough. With the small minor issues, the service was great at making the situation better. Definitely nice and accommodating service and explained they we're training a new cook.

We completed Disney Run and were starving-- initially planned to grab breakfast at another restaurant, but did not want to wait 45min to be seated. Quick search on Yelp and Madres Brunch popped up. There are several locations, but this location was close to where we were at. It looked inviting, so we took a chance on it. Electric and vibrant decor with various murals and pictures on the wall and spacious. Friendly staff seated us quickly. Ordered a few items to share: Rainbow pancakes is exactly that. Stacks of colorful and buttery pancakes. Steak and egg chilaquiles. Good flavor with nice and thick tortilla pieces. 2 eggs would have been better than one, but overall, it was tasty. Cheesy hash potatoes, scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast were what I would expect. It's your standard, straightforward breakfast except the difference is the hash is cheesy. Horchata iced latte was delicious! Right amount of sweetness, creaminess, and cinnamon. Service was great! Attentive staff and friendly. We'd definitely come back and maybe try out other locations as well.

I was surprised how empty this place was on a Saturday morning. We arrived around 9:00am and plenty of seating available. The place is pretty colorful and has a ton of photo worthy selfie spots (I'm sure there is a name for that). They do play music as well, not too loud but makes the place livelier for sure. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We ordered the Madres chilaquiles and Huevos Divorciados. My plate was a decent size and the bf's plate was in the smaller side but he said it was a good amount of food. He wasn't stuffed but could eat some more afterwards. I love the red sauce used in the chilaquiles. Quite spicy as well so be prepared. The tortillas have a nice crunch and stay crunchy throughout eating the meal. They were super nice and gave me a birthday dessert as well. Buñuelos ftw!

Everything was very average. Probably wouldn't come back. Our server was really nice and I think he may have been the only server during that time, but he was still attentive. Food took awhile to come out and tasted okay.

I think this location and day of the week definitely matters when visiting this restaurant! All the staff were great and friendly! Food was yummy! unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of the Lucky Charm mimosas flight. We were a little bummed; Saturday brunch/lunch time wasn't the vibe at all. pretty much empty, the decor wasn't like the other locations.

We had a great time at Madres Brunch! They had good music the whole time which created such a fun vibe. They made sure we were well taken care of through out our meal. Would definitely recommend ! Their benedict , nutella french toast AND mango michelada was amazing !

Great place for Mexican-American style brunch! I came here on a Saturday afternoon and there were plenty of open seats. I noticed a lot of the guests were large parties, so must be a good place for celebrations. The interior was cutely decorated with a lot of neon pink and fake green walls (very 2010 aesthetic). In terms of food, I recommend the chilaquiles, the portion size was huge and the sauce was delicious! I also ordered the chiliango, which is an omelette with chilaquiles stuffed inside. The omelette itself was okay but the chilaquiles was delicious!

Visited during the week and it was empty. It's a specious place and they play loud DJ sets on the TVs. Kevin was very attentive, answered all our questions, and even brought out an in house habanero sauce that was very spicy for us to try. The Chilango dishes were a new take on the typical omelette because they are stuffed with your choice of chilaquiles. The chilaquiles dishes themselves were also good and had a good crunch to them that you didn't find in the Chilangos. All dishes were on a bed of refried black beans, which added a good balance. They were all big portions. The drinks were okay. Too sugary for our taste. We got the Nutella French toast for dessert and it did not disappoint! It was thick and fluffy and the grilled plantains definitely complemented it well. Would definitely get that again.

Now the food was pretty weird bean were watery. Idk what makes this appealing definitely no flavor.

Had high hopes of this place very hyped up on social Media. Got there is was empty and ordered cafe de olla and 2 plates of food. There was something about the presentation of the food that didn't look good. Tried the food but felt sick afterwards. Won't be coming back. It was a bit too expensive for the experience.

So... sit down.. no server, while others are getting service.. 10-15 min to place an order, even went to the front to find someone to order.. 15 min after that, no water, no utensils, still waiting... Table next to us left about 10 minutes ago, barely ate their food and didnt take it to-go.... Still nothing on our table... About to run to the car and get my bottle of water. Update: Finally got our food, still nothing drinks or WATER... Steak medium rare? see photo... I'm sorry, I know there are a few families here.. but its not THAT busy.

Came in with a friend to change up our usual lunch spots. First impression upon walking in: artistic potluck. The walls are done in bold colors with a street art vibe. One wall has a Care Bear, another a has the Cheshire Cat, and so on. The music is on the loud side and is basically a DJ that is shown doing his thing on the various TVs in the dining room. The workers were friendly and attentive and willing to answer any questions. The food was just okay. I ordered the chilaquiles verdes with a fried egg. Just average flavor with nothing particularly standing out. My friend ordered an omelette that she enjoyed, but the egg was very thin, more like a crepe than an omelette. While it was a change from our usual restaurant choices, nothing really stood out to be crave-worthy. With so many choices out there, Madres probably won't make our rotation on a regular basis.

Beautiful place, I loved all the wall art and the food was delicious! FYI their portions are pretty big. Two people can eat this. The prices were reasonable and the trío mimosa were yummy. We were a big party as were others that were there due to Fullertons graduation, so the service lagged, but the servers were very apologetic.. They seemed understaffed, but staff and costumer service was great. read more

This was our first time here! It wasn't crowded even though it was Easter weekend, probably due to the storm. Anna was an amazing server for us and checked in on us frequently. The portions were okay for the price, but the quality was amazing. They have flights for all drink categories so if you can't decide you can order a flight instead! I got a normal coffee flight for my drinks. read more

It was my first time here with my brother. Great place, cute. We had a couple of items drink wise and food wise. The service was good not superb but good. My only complaint was the pineapple juice, I know that it doesn't say freshly squeezed but to pay $6 for a juice and it taste straight like Dole or Minute Maid 100% juice I could've gone to the store and bought two cartons. The food was great and the service provided by Ana, was very friendly. I highly recommend the "La Cubana" dish as it was very flavorful and was even made even better with the house made red salsa. The restaurant is a lot bigger than the Whittier location and parking is also very convenient. I did come during the week so it wasn't as busy as it probably usually is, but it's a place I would definitely come. The ambience was good, can't really say much since I was here during the week, lunch time. However it did get pretty full. The mazapán latte is delicious, not too sweet and you can taste the coffee (which is a plus). read more

Came here on a Sunday for brunch. Husband and I got there a little before 11:30 and they sat us down immediately. Probably only 2 large parties waiting when we arrived. Restaurant looked like your typical busy Sunday brunch hour. Drinks: 1. Dulce de leche iced latte and husband gave it a 1/10. He said nothing was special about it just tasted like expresso. 2. Mazapan iced latte 8/10--I got this and really enjoyed it and my husband liked my drink a lot better. Would have given it a full 10 if the cup wasn't 80% full of ice. Taste was really good and definitely can taste the mazapan Food: 1. "The one" breakfast Sandwich 2/10-- husband said the Birria was not seasoned enough and the potatoes were not seasoned well. The bread for the sandwich was very thick and made it difficult to eat. Very little Birria meat too 2. "Madres Chilaquiles" 2/10--- my meal was very disappointing. Very little Birria...just spread out on top of the chilaquiles to make it seem like a lot but honestly the amount of meat is the portion of for 1-2 small street tacos. It was way too soggy and nothing special about the flavor. I got tired of eating it and just ate the Birria. The Birria for both of our meals wasn't impressive to be honest. Birria is our favorite and go to meat when we get Mexican food. For the Birria you get here, you're better off eating the one they sell packaged at Costco. Ambiance: Lots of families out for a brunch meal. They basically play like edm music. It's pretty loud and hard to hear what other people are saying unless you're reaching across the table to communicate. My husband is Mexican and he and I were pretty surprised they didn't play any Spanish songs since that's always a vibe which we both love. Service: About 5 mins to get water, 15 mins for us to get our drink, and 1 HOUR. to get our food.:.our server did check on us every 20 mins to let us know "the food will be out soon" and at the 40 minute mark we were told "there's just 2-3 more tickets in front of you guys". We had high hopes since we were seated quickly but wish they would have told us there was a delay in the kitchen like most places would tell us. The times we have gone to restaurants and there was a delay they would not only tell us that the kitchen is "backed up" but would also offer some kind of appetizer or complimentary drinks. We talked to someone at the end and they gave us 20% off but it basically just took care of our tax. Our bill for 2 meals and 2 coffees came out to $50 (with the discount). For $20-$22 for our meals to barely have any meat I wouldn't recommend. You're better off going somewhere else for brunch. Honestly would have left after the 30 min mark of not getting our food but we stuck around since we didn't even have to wait to get seated. We prefer Jardin's brunch over this restaurant since the service and food is actually "worth the hype". Unfortunately, Madres brunch is overhyped on social media. read more

Tried this place after a doctor appointment and was disappointed. Initially, the menu looked good. But when I tried to order a simple hot water with lemon, I was told they had no lemons or lime. Really!!! I should have taken this as an omen. Anyway, waiter said their chilaquiles were the monthly specials so we ordered that and the pork chops dish. Chilaquiles was so-so, while the pork chops were over fried. Food presentation was good, but the prices were not. Overall, I would highly recommend you go elsewhere! Jenny's Country Kitchen in. Sta Fe Springs makes chilaquiles to write home about. read more

Oh my goodness! We came here to celebrate my graduation not knowing what to expect. But everything was amazing! Our server, Dee, was attentive and anticipated our every need! The food was delicious as well as beautiful. The presentation here alone needs recognition. We're from out of state but we will definitely be back to eat some more and we will ask for Dee! I will start off by saying service was excellent. There were many options to choose from. Interesting ambience... a tv screen right by our table with DJ playing music on the screen., I got a soyrizo and potatoes plate, my friend got a vegetarian omelette, our other friend order enchiladas Swiss's for breakfast. Me n my brother just left from eating at this new place we found thru Yelp. Let me tell you the service was great, everyone was so friendly. I wanted to support a new locally owned business, however the price is way too high, in my opinion. Escepcially handing me straight up printed paper menus. The service was great 10/10 but I couldn't get over that it's called Madres but didn't have a kid's menu. Like $20 for 5 pancakes is a bit out of my budget even though they were rainbow colored. I'm sure they will do ok, I truly hope so. I probably won't come back unless their menu prices get better. read more

First off I wanna say that the decor of the restaurant was blissful. It was very colorful and inviting. Secondly walking in we were greeted by the GM Crystal. With a warm smile. We were seated right away without any questions. We had order the mimosa tower which comes with 8-10? Mimosas all different flavors. All of them were amazing. Definitely recommend if you love mimosas! We ended up ordering the red chilaquiles. The red sauce was so good. And the presentation of the plates were very aesthetically pleasing. Excited to try this place out, the pictures look amazing! Is there a menu posted anywhere to look over? I was unable to find one. With diet restrictions , I want to make sure there's options for us to try before making the drive.

There was only a paper menu when we dined there, but it had many of the same offerings as the Whittier location. I would browse the menu from Whittier and check with the Placentia location to make sure they have what you're looking for.

I was excited to try Madres Brunch in Placentia, especially since they specialize in unique coffee options and coffee flights, with a full coffee bar. The drink menu was impressive, offering a variety of options, and the coffee itself was strong but on the sweeter side. We ordered the churro French toast and the birria omelet. The churro French toast was a decent size but churro was pretty stale... The birria omelette was a bit of a letdown--it was surprisingly small and didn't quite hit the mark in terms of flavor. The biggest issue was the service. While the host was friendly and welcoming, our server didn't seem to pay much attention to the details or our request. We specifically asked for our French toast to be served after the savory dishes so it wouldn't sit there getting cold while we ate our main entree. She confirmed this a couple of times, but of course, our French toast arrived before the savory dish. When I pointed it out, she didn't seem to care and asked what do I mean by that. To add to the frustration, we weren't given utensils right away, even though we had asked for them. After asking a third time, another server brought them over, but our original server didn't check on us again until we had to ask for straws. She never came back with the straws until we asked again. Overall, the food and drinks were just average and nothing extraordinary. The service was disappointing, and I'm not sure I'd make the drive back for another visit. While the coffee and menu options are fun, the lack of attention to detail and the so-so food make me hesitant to recommend it. read more

We arrived at 12:18 PM to a mostly empty restaurant but were told there would be a 15-minute wait, which was fine. We were seated within that time and had already decided on our orders from browsing the menu while waiting. However, it took 20 minutes for anyone to come to our table, so I had to flag down a staff member to take our order. The $7 charge for added steak to the chilaquiles was underwhelming, as the portion was minimal. Overall, the food was just okay--nothing special that would make us want to return. Additionally, I noticed many servers chatting among themselves rather than attending to customers, which contributed to the slow service. After asking for the check, we waited another 20 minutes for it to arrive. We spent almost two hours there, most of which was waiting. While I understand that every restaurant can have an off day, I don't think I'll be returning based on this experience. read more

Poor Service Overshadows Decent Food My husband and I visited this restaurant for the first time, with high hopes based on previous reviews, but left thoroughly disappointed. Despite being warned about a 25-minute wait for seating by the hostess, our experience went downhill from there. It took our server 15 minutes to even approach us for drinks, then another 20 minutes for our food order to be taken. To add insult to injury, it took an hour for my food to arrive, while my husband's dish lagged behind by another 15 minutes. The Chilango omelet and the birria Benedict were flavorful, but certainly not worth the agonizing wait. Moreover, my coffee was refilled just once throughout our entire visit. As if the service debacle wasn't enough, we were billed for a side of plantains we never ordered. I firmly believe that service quality should match the standard of the food, and unfortunately, this establishment falls short in that regard. Regrettably, we won't be returning. I'm giving it 3 stars because the food was good and our server ultimately apologized. read more

I recently visited Madres Brunch, and while the experience was pleasant, the food left much to be desired, especially considering the price. We ordered the red and green enchiladas, along with a stack of pancakes. The enchiladas, while decent, didn't live up to the hype. Both the red and green varieties were lackluster in flavor and quite average overall. The sauce was a bit too mild for my taste, and the fillings didn't offer the depth of flavor I had hoped for. The portions were generous, but they didn't quite justify the price. On the other hand, the pancakes were the standout of the meal. Fluffy, light, and just the right amount of sweetness, they were easily the highlight of our visit. Still, they weren't enough to completely redeem the overall meal. Considering the steep prices, I was expecting something a bit more exceptional. While the pancakes were definitely enjoyable, the rest of the meal didn't leave a lasting impression. I wouldn't rush back, but if you're in the area and craving pancakes, Madres Brunch might be worth a visit. read more

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Madre! O.C. for brunch, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The ambiance was lively and welcoming, perfect for a weekend brunch. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was crafted with care and packed with flavor. I particularly enjoyed the chilaquiles--crispy, tangy, and just the right amount of spice. The avocado toast was also a standout, fresh and perfectly seasoned. What really elevated the experience was the drink flights. They offer a great selection, allowing you to sample a variety of unique cocktails. Each drink was refreshing and paired wonderfully with our meal. The mimosa flight, in particular, was a delightful treat with its creative flavors. I also have to give a shoutout to Jonathan, our server, who was exceptional. This was our first time here. Wasn't sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. The inner ambiance was really chill and we were seated right away. Once we ordered, the food was literally out within 10 minutes. Everything was amazing. The star of the show was the toast though. Fluffy, crispy, with a little French toast taste. Amazing. The breakfast sandwich was packed with birria, bacon and onions. The buns are too big to pick up and eat so this is a fork and knife sandwich. The potatoes were seasoned perfectly and had the perfect crunch. And the birria consume was flavorful and had a lot of meat. The omelette was also great. All the flavors came together very well and the green sauce was on point. The chilaquiles were also top notch. Crispy chips and a ton of birria. This place may be our new go to brunch spot. read more

We went out for brunch on Thanksgiving Day, and the food did not disappoint! The standout of the meal was the country potatoes--crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. The birria omelet was absolutely delicious, complemented by a flavorful consommé. The decor was charming and bright, making it an ideal spot for Instagram-worthy photos. Busy Sunday brunch, as expected. Waited only 20 Minutes or so. Got seated on a table that was the main thoroughfare for bussing tables. The restaurant was loud and the music was even louder. There was a slick DJ on the monitors that we had to see and listen to the entire time. Food comes out as it's made, so no one at the table gets there food at the same time It's not a good thing when there is only two people. The food looks better than it tastes. If you like a loud restaurant, a lot of food, and mediocre service, this is the place for you read more

Brunch at Madre in Placentia was a total win! We started with the Journey Pancakes--fluffy stacks drizzled in strawberry glaze and topped with sweet goodness in every bite. Then came the Birthday Waffle, and yes, it was literally on fire! Such a fun presentation and even better flavor. The service was horrible. We didn't have a solid waiter. They messed up our order. We got coffee to go and they gave us the wrong coffees. We asked the Chilaquiles with eggs, the eggs never came, until we asked again for it. I asked for sour cream, I had to get up myself to go ask for it by the kitchen. We didn't get water for the longest time. We never got asked for a refill after finally getting our small glasses of water. Just horrible. My boyfriend was nice enough to leave a tip but was not deserved. read more

This place was by far the most amazing brunch place we have had. I had the Al Pastore omelette, which was amazing. We also had their cake pancake, which were by far some of the best carrot cake, pancakes ever the mimosas and service is outstanding and definitely would recommend to anyone who is interested in having amazing brunchcousin graduation they were able to sit us all down and take care of those right away. We had an amazing time at Madres Brunch! The vibe was cozy and welcoming from the start. We tried the Wilma pancakes, and they were so good--light, fluffy, and delicious. The real star, though, was the mole chilaquiles. They were easily a 10 out of 10 with such rich and flavorful taste. First time trying this place out. I got the coffee flight with special flavors was amazing. As soon as I saw it online, I knew I had to have it and it did not disappoint. I also tried the birria chilaquiles and it was soooo good. Our server, Ana was very knowledgeable with the menu, she helped one of our friends pick out some chilaquiles.
