We live 5 minutes away and my daughter's taco is soggy. Whoever says this is "authentic" and "delicious" must be smoking something better than I am. Gross. Totally disappointed. We decided to have lunch before heading to Kartchner Caverns State Park. This restaurant was rated well, and it was busy when we arrived. I am pleasantly surprised that they had chicken mole on the menu. There are very few Mexican restaurants that serve mole. The food was delicious. The service was very good and fast. Hands down - this is the absolute worst Mexican food I have ever encountered in 50 years.

We frequent the southwest and we make point of stopping off here for lunch or dinner. The service is great and the food is authentic. The chili relleno is crisp where it should be and silky smooth on the inside. It's worth the stop. read more

The place is clean and the service is good. The crisp was one of the best I've had but the taco salad was not what I expected. The enchiladas had a lot of chicken but I didn't care for either the tortillas they used or the sauce. The salsa was good but the beer was warm. First time at this establishment. The food and the service were very good. I'd go back. I would not however recommend the albonigas soup. We ordered a large one to go, but when we got home we were very disappointed. The flavor was okay, but there were only 5 small meatballs and broth, no vegetables. I have seen this style before, but for $10 I want a hearty soup. That means meat and vegetables in my book. Don't let that stop you. Give it a go, let me know what you think. read more

This was a good pick for lunch today while visiting Benson. I was told the mole was pretty good, and they were right! I tasted so many spices and flavors in this complex mole! The chicken was juicy and there was a lot of it! It came with a package of paper-thin tortillas - the best kind! The beans were flavorful and covered in stringy, stretchy cheese. The rice was just ok, it was small and kinda broken up, and the salsas were just ok as well, either super spicy or tomato sauce, and thin. I had enough food leftover for dinner too! All of the food that came out looked great! Service was fast at lunchtime too! We came because Mi Casa was closed, and I'm so glad we had the chance to try it, I would come back, even if Mi Casa was open! read more

Mom and I have been here a couple of times after church. The last time the place was packed with no where to sit. The waiter came by and said it would be probably about 20 minutes since everyone walked in not long before us. We decided to go somewhere else. As we were discussing it, one of the other patrons reorganized their crew and broke a table off for us. So nice to be in a small town. This last time I had the chimichanga covered with the green sauce instead of the red enchilada style most places serve. I have never had that before but as I dislike the red sauce. It was very tasty. Mom got the Taco Salad and she enjoyed it too. The serving sizes are plenty. Both times, mom actually took some home, I don't have that kind of will power. The staff is very friendly. Everything we have ever ordered at Magaly's has been excellent. The toughest part of going there is deciding what to eat on that particular day and whether or not to have a margarita. It is a regular stop for us and a place we always take our out of town guests to. The staff is also awesome; friendly and attentive. Great little Mexican food restaurant here in Benson. I was just passing by on my way through town and thought I would swing in and give it a try. The big parking lot made it easy to swing in the moving truck I was in. After being seated the waiter quickly had chips and two different salsas on my table. The chips were fresh and the salsas were two different spice levels, both tasted great. I went with the Chile Relleno and ground beef tacos and they were cooked perfectly. The relleno was stuffed with white cheese and everything was covered in cheddar. Perfectly the way I like it! I could tell the ingredients were all fresh and nothing tasted like it was prepared way ahead of time. I will absolutely stop back here the next time I am passing through. read more

This is been one of our best meals while visiting Benson Arizona. It's a small restaurant, but unfortunately it was very noisy because of a family with small crying children and one inconsiderate man carrying on a speakerphone conversation with his girlfriend that everyone in the restaurant overheard. Not a bad little Mexican restaurant. The corn chips were fresh and the dips were good. The price was reasonable and the food was tasty enough, so hurry on in and try this place out if you happen to be in the area looking for a bite like us. Real mexican food they called it (apparently I don't have real mexican taste buds)? Came here August 3rd and it was a bit busy. It's a small place so the wait can be long at times. We got in quick. Took a few minutes to look at the menu and it looked different. I mean obviously, it's been years since I've been here. I'm praying "Lord please let this be good because I'm so hungry and I'm not in the mood for mexican." We ordered our food and let me tell you... I was NOT disappointed. I don't know if it's under new ownership or a new cook (again it's been years) but wow it really did taste like REAL mexican food. You know the kind where your nana has to go to the ghetto to buy ingredients or she has to grow the chilis herself. There are not alot of options here in Benson but let me tell you if there were... I took a party of four there for a birthday dinner on six February. The service was somewhat bad, the waitress did not remember to give us placesettings, she actually had to make two trips in order to get the right placesettings for four people. The waitress did not consistently check with us to see if we needed anything else or if everything was OK. The food was probably the worst that I have ever eaten in a restaurant and I have been in 27 countries and 47 states. My chimichanga tasted like and felt like it might've been pre-cooked hours or maybe the day before and it simply dumped in the grease and heat it up and then smothered it and enchilada sauce, I do not believe that was my imagination because my wife chimichanga was bad also. And check in with the other couple they were very dissatisfied with their cuisine also I would not recommend this place and I probably will never go back again even though we live only 30 miles away. In addition I had my service dog with me, he was at the table with the rest of the family. When I return from the bathroom they told me that the waitress said that he had to be under the table. My service dog cannot do his job if he is under the table, and she had no right or reason or authority to require that. They are not service dog friendly, their services it is marginal and the food is bad. read more

We had been looking all over Texas and New Mexico for Albondigas (Mexican Meatball Soup) Here it is! They also have Pozole (pork stew with hominy) another hard find!. What they DON'T have is Fideo!
