Cheese Steak with American cheese, hots and banana peppers. Delicious and very filling.
    Charles C.

After our second visit I can say that this cheese steak is in the top 3 I have ever had anywhere, even outside of Maryland. Our first visit was on a Tuesday and the bartender was extremely welcoming and friendly. The restaurant has two bars with very different vibes, we ended up sitting at a booth at the front of the restaurant and split an order of fish and chips and a cheese steak with provolone, hots and banana peppers. The food was served very quickly and we enjoyed a few crushes that were on special while we waited. I was thoroughly impressed by both dishes and everything was very affordable. On our second visit we went at 6 PM on a Thursday to enjoy the cheese steak special and we each got our own sandwich, I tried the classic sandwich with American cheese and it was just as good as the first time and my wife really enjoyed her chicken cheese steak. If you are in Fed Hill and want a delicious meal at a nice sports bar, this is easily one of the best options.

I came here for the Ohio State vs. Michigan game and overall had a good time. This place markets itself as an OSU bar, which is exactly why a lot of us out-of-towners lined up early looking for a true Buckeye spot to watch The Game. The two bartenders on duty were slammed but handled the crowd well and stayed friendly the whole time. I ordered the honey Old Bay wings and they were legitimately great. A couple issues, though. For a bar that leans into the Ohio State identity, it was surprising that we had to keep asking for the TVs to be switched to the game and for the sound to be turned on especially during the biggest rivalry matchup of the year. They also misplaced my friend's AMEX, which was frustrating. All that said, the staff was kind, the food was solid, and there's real potential here. With some attention to gameday details, this place could be a true home for the Buckeye faithful.

You can never go wrong here! Their wings, subs and even egg rolls are all BOMB! I will say it can get super busy and crazy on some nights depending on what's happening outside. They are located on Cross Street so weekends here get busy and they don't offer carry out on game days. It's nice though, I feel like they have quiet areas and louder areas so you can enjoy the games however you like.

We stopped in here to try a cheesesteak since we had heard good things. It's a cool, casual atmosphere with a good amount of seating. Our server was friendly and checked on us regularly and food came out quickly. We were sharing one sandwich and they kindly cut it for us and gave each of us a bag of chips which I thought was really nice. The sandwich itself was just okay in my opinion. It was generously filled and the bread was nice, but I felt it needed more flavor personally. But a lot of people seem to like it so check it out for yourself! Even though the cheesesteak wasn't my preference, there were a lot of other menu items that sounded good to me and I liked the service and atmosphere, so I'd definitely go back to try other stuff!

If you're craving good food, good vibes, and even better deals -- MaGerks Pub has you covered. The crab pretzel is cheesy but I must admit I have had some that are better. But the Cheesesteak is a must (and 50% off dine in every Thursday from 7pm-10pm! Great drinks, friendly service, and that classic Fed Hill neighborhood feel that keeps you coming back. Definitely a Baltimore gem!

Food was decent. Straightforward drinks were good but definitely not the place for a quality mixed cocktail. Solid vibe for game days

This pub took me by surprise. My friend told me about a spot with great philly's and I had to give it a try. It was a game day in Baltimore for the orioles, so the pub became busy as soon as we sat down. We sat at the bar which wasn't too noisy. They do offer upstairs and downstairs traditional tabletop seating. The bartender was attentive and asked for our drink orders right away. I ordered water as was saving my taste buds for a sandwich. I decided on the chicken Philly and I added fried onions. It came with a pickle and potato chips. My friend ordered the Philly egg rolls with sweet potato fries. The food came out and the sandwich was huge. It was no way I was going to eat the whole thing. I took a bite and fell in love. It was so juicy and flavorful. I tried the egg rolls and geez, so goooood!!!! I will be back to get another one when I'm back in Baltimore!

The last few visits have been positive. The Jam-On burger is a must for us and ask of a little JO sauce on the side. It's a great burger if you like blue cheese. Also got the MaGerk Salad with cranberries, candied nuts and vinaigrette. Good stuff and our waiter was on the top of his game.

When people ask, I usually tell them I'm from filly so I know what trash smells like. But originally, I'm from class, Montgomery county, to be exact, Potomac Maryland to be more exact. These fellas make the most extraordinary filly cheese steaks I've ever put in my mouth, and I've put many things in my mouth. If you are craving an original filly cheesesteak without having to go to bum crab sports filly, then come to magerks. Home of the fillideplhia Eagles, cheesesteaks, and Rocky's

Service was perfection. The interior has a great dark wood/chandelier, old-school bar vibe and comfortable seating without it being too noisy when packed. There is some signage about the poet himself. We started of with the "cheese dip" which is an interesting way to describe a pretzel appetizer. But boy howdy, the cheese dip was enormous, which complemented the salty, buttery pretzels perfectly. The stuffed lamb was pretty reasonably priced and came with spinach and potatoes. Both that and the strip steak were a bit heavy on the sauce though, but otherwise, great dishes. Don't forget to swing by the bathroom. I just really like the posters in the hallway. The bathrooms were nice though. Overall, this is a reasonably-priced, inviting atmosphere, and tasty good. Great spot for the area.

The dinner option was generous with 2 delicious crabby mounds, and two sides which I did not want, but I was able to sub out others. Nice! The old fashioned wasn't much to look at, but man o man... it was actually pretty good and a reasonable price. I had a couple as I'm not one to pass up cheap drinks. Service was spectacular too with our waiter joking around with us and taking good care of us while we dined after a conference. If you're in Baltimore and near the convention center (or the Orioles Park), this place is worth a stop if you're in a crab cake mood and don't want to venture to the Inner Harbor for something a little more upscale.

We stopped by around 5 PM on a Saturday before an Orioles game, so as expected, the place was extremely busy and had a lively pregame atmosphere. The beers were good, but unfortunately, the food is what brought my rating down to three stars. The fries tasted a little stale, and I ordered the smash burger (forgot to grab a picture), which was pretty average. I've definitely had much better smash burgers elsewhere. We also tried the chicken fingers, which were very basic and reminded me of typical ballpark food, not bad, but nothing memorable or something I'd crave again. Overall, Pratt Street Ale House is a solid spot for drinks and the pregame atmosphere, especially if you're heading to an Orioles game. However, based on the food we tried, I probably wouldn't come back specifically to eat. I'd recommend it more as a pregame drinks spot than a dining destination.
