Was in here on Friday 3/6/20202 I ordered 1 of the house specialties the pot roast and mashed potatoes. I thought it was excellent. I also ordered 2 mojitos from the bar which I thought where a little pricey? maybe I showed up at the wrong time? anyway the 1st one was a little weak? and I bought another and asked the bartender to strengthen up the 2nd for me he said he had to charge me more for that, an extra 6 bucks for an 8 dollar drink ? sadly to say I was disappointed with both. I then tried to leave a correct tip of 18 percent but the total was wrong. I called to correct the 3 dollar mistake on my part ! for the tip for the 2 weak drinks!:) but excellent meal :) Bottom line , I like the atmosphere the entrée was served hot and fairly quick. It pains me to write this review, as I've liked this place since it opened here in Albany. However, this was one of the worst dining experiences that I've ever had. It's a Saturday night and we arrive at 8:30pm after a movie. We sit at the bar. The menus we're sticky. It took 10 minutes to order a drink...and there were 4 people working the bar area. We get our drinks and one is absolutely horrible. After some time we are asked what we would like to order. We order apps only. It took 20 minutes to get apps. The steak wasn't medium rare it was medium well and chewy. The soup didn't have a good taste either. I asked for two waters, which I never received ...however I did get an attitude for requesting the water. The bills is in the glass in front of us, so we put our card in it. After 10 minutes , I finally ask the person literally standing in front of us if they would please process it. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Poor bar tending , service and food. My husband and I went there for our anniversary dinner with family. The wait for our drink and food order was long, about 20 minutes. Then a different server came than the one who seated us. Do not got there - ever. I have tried take out orders there twice. I blame myself for giving them a second chance. I showed up for my take out order. They received the order but did not place the order. Who does this? They waited for me to arrive to actually submit my order, even though they had it. People place. Take out order and expect it to be ready to be picked up. They told me it would be 20 minutes - just enough time to order a drink and wait at the bar. I did not fall for this. I should have just walked out but I was hungry and knew if I went anywhere else it would just be a longer wait. So I waited near the entrance. When they brought the order and I got home they could not have screwed up an order if they tried. They gave me the wrong sauce for EACH of the 4 orders. They also put dressing on the salad even though I requested dressing on the side. Who places salad dressing directly on a salad for a take out order? Even worse - they put the wrong salad dressing on my salad. Never again. You shouldn't either. read more

This is an amazing place to stop and get food, their portion sizes are gigantic and their salads are fantastic they have AMAZING vegetarian/vegan options and have a VERY large menu so their would be choices for EVERYONE. Literally my worst fear is walking into the restaurant and them having a tiny menu and no vegetarian options. Here that is not a problem at all however, the food took a while to come out and came out at the same time as the starter so we werent able to finish much. My boyfriend and I decided to stop in and try Maggie's after shopping around the mall and from moment we stepped through the door it was a great experience. The hostess quickly sat us and soon after our lovely waitress Bridget came over to take our drink orders. She was quick to deliver our drinks and soup appetizer while we continued to scan their giant menu! Everything looked delicious. I opted for the chowder while my boyfriend opted for the chili both were served hot and with in minutes of ordering. Both soups were very flavorful and generously portioned. Shortly after we order we received our meals. We ordered the ribs which comes with fries and Mac and cheese, I was not able to finish the meal simply because there was so much but it was so delicious. My boyfriend got the chicken Parmesan which was all generously portioned and so good. Bridget was amazing the food was amazing and we will definitely come back! read more

This is our second time coming here and it was not an enjoyable experience. We sat at the bar and the service was terrible. We got our apps before we got our drinks. When we asked about the drinks the bartender got annoyed. Waited at minimum 15 minutes for someone to bring our drinks. Ordered food and there was a bug in my salad. I made a Yelp account just for this. The waitress got the order of a plain cheeseburger wrong and argued, "No, you didn't say cheeseburger because I would've written it down that way." Cold cheese was then brought out instead of admitting to and replacing a literal cheeseburger which was also not plain. Keep in mind this was a $16 burger that sat on the table and went in a box 5 minutes after it was ordered so it was clear that the order was incorrect and that we weren't thrilled with our meal being written down wrong . She was also clearly in a rush to leave (we paid and left 2 hours before the restaurant closed and got there an hour and a half before the kitchen closed). For example, she tried to take a 1/3 full $9 beer off the table without even asking if they were finished because she clearly was ready to leave. In general, they usually don't have half of the stuff on their menu available the multiple times I've gone here. This was the first time in my life I have ever tipped less than 20% at a restaurant. I'm shocked it's still open. Don't go here, it really sucked and the food is barely Ok. Realistically I would rate it 0.5 out of 10 only because the booth was comfortable. read more

This place has a lot going for it. I liked the ambience, the location, and the fact that it is so spacious. They are working out the kinks. The menu is vaaaaast, but the quality varied across our order. The cocktails were also a hit or a miss. My boyfriend raved about his, I didn't like mine too much (partly because it took an eternity to get it). The apps are overpriced and average quality although I think the burgers are great (the fries, not so much). However, anything like pasta (mine was super mealy and floury, soggier than al-dente) or salad was not too par. I will give it another try this weekend. read more

After hearing good reviews, my friends and I decided to have dinner here. That was our first mistake. After being told there was a 15-30 minute wait time, we put our name down, the host took our phone number and assured us we would be called when a table became available. Fifty minutes later, we walked back to the host and he looked slightly confused, then proceeded to use his mic to find a table for us. Everyone seemed very disorganized and not sure what was happening most of the time. We were finally seated, 15 minutes later our server appeared and our orders were taken. We were given no bread. 25 minutes later, two of our meals appeared. 10 minutes later the other two appeared. 5 minutes later two more appeared. 5 minutes after that, my food appeared, it was not what I ordered. Two minutes after that, I got the chicken sandwich I ordered, it was cold. As was 5 of the other meals at our table. There was a french dip sandwich, a classic burger, a cheese pizza, a buffalo chicken sandwich and another burger, not one of them was hot and both burgers looked more rare than what they'd asked for. Still no bread. My friend after receiving his horrible food, turned to his fries for solace but had no ketchup. He graciously asked our server for some ketchup who assured him he would get it to him soon. He received the ketchup about a half hour later... when we were getting our checks. The fries were long gone, along with any hope we had for this place. Save yourself the trouble, go to the 110 Grill instead. read more

Me and my boyfriend have gone here 2 separate times...the first time the waitress wasn't attentive to our table at all and would go over the the table diagonal from ours and just wouldn't come over. She never even asked if our food was good. We had to search for her and flag her down to get our bill so we could leave. This visit was during lunchtime so I thought "hey it's probably just because it's busier" so I didn't get annoyed by this. Then we came back a second time got seated right away which was good but then had to wait 25 minutes before anyone came up to us to ask what we wanted to drink. I was so annoyed because it wasn't busy at all maybe 2 other tables in our waitresses section and I realize things are going to be slower than normal but to wait 25 minutes without anyone coming over and asking us what we wanted to drink is so irritating. The food came slower than it maybe would've been if it wasn't during COVID-19 but I took that into account and it was completely fine. But after waiting 25 minutes to have anyone come over and the slow food, the waitress handed us the wrong check and it was for way more than what ours should've been. So 08/21/19 was the 1st time I've been to Maggie McFly's for dinner it was my sisters bday and another sister recommend Maggie's. Me and my partner arrived around 730pm, my sister and another member was already seated and had order their drinks and their appetizers, We begin to order our drinks and apps. I order 2 beers and 2 glasses of water about 1/2 hr to ?45mins. later no drinks (beer or water) and no appetizers as well as another person arrives for the dinner party. The waitress Morgan then preceded to take her order she ordered a drink an app. and her meal and within 5mins later she had her drink when I still was waiting for my beers or water and my sister and her friend was still waiting for their appetizers. Approximately about 20 mins after that another member of the party arrived and ordered her drinks and meal our food came out before the appetizers, we had no silverware to eat with, and on top of that the food was not good 3 of us had the same order and we all had to send our food back because the rice was too hard and for $23.99 I would think for the bake stuffed shrimp you would get medium or large size shrimp if you are only give out 4 pieces not small shrimp so by this time now I need to speak to a manager, A manager comes out and nothing was really done I discuss the issue about our drinks he went and got glasses of water but then precede to tell us they was all out of the kind of beer we asked for. You would think we found that out at the beginning of our order not an hour later so maybe we could have made a different choice. so nothing was done about the situation no compensation or anything the manger just left and seemed to only be concern with the people at the table who did not have a problem.
