The $4 soft pretzel with a kind of honey mustard was very good, as were the $6 crispy wings with sides of hot sauce, bleu cheese, ranch and veggies. Plenty of seating at the bar. I wished I could have given it a 4.5 as they did the follow-up on the food right after it was served by a runner but they let my first beer run dry in the middle of my my meal. The menu here is largely identical to Cheesecake Factory's. I guess both chains were created by two friends. Gotta say, this place is priced about the same but the quality just doesn't quite match its counterpart. And even Cheesecake Factory is hit-or-miss. The beer selection is solid enough. I got fish and chips last time. The fish was fresh and tender but not flavorful at all. The fries were beyond crispy to the point of being unpleasantly hard. Apparently my wife's were soggy last time she got that dish, so I guess you could say consistency is a problem. Also, here was a fun exchange between myself and the waitress after receiving it: Me: Oh, this was supposed to come with malt vinegar I think? Her: No it isn't. I mean, we have malt vinegar, but nothing on the menu comes with malt vinegar on it. Me: Well, it is on the menu, actually... Her: No one has ever said that before. Me: ??? ? This place is a bit noisy. Service is fast and good. The menu was overwhelming and I prefer a place that has one or two themes (fish, Italian) but this has burritos,fish Italian,American traditional. The first problem I had with the place when I walked in was an odor...like the bar rag grew and stunk he whole place up. The bar looks nice and the food is ok, but the prices...$5.50 for a pint? Of Yuengling? What's the point of mine televisions if they're only on two different channels and you can't hear any of them? Supertramp in the background was annoying. It's not a bad place, but I felt like I was paying Fenway prices for a Fenway Park atmosphere without the game. No one talks to anyone (to the patrons), from observing. I work in Manchester, so I typically just order food on Door Dash and it's always good. This afternoon we decided to actually go to the restaurant for lunch. When we walked in, there was no one at the hostess stand and we had to wait for a few minutes to finally be seated (it was toward the tail end of lunchtime and not very busy). Once we were seated, we waited another 5 plus minutes before our server came over to take our drink order. After waiting for another 15 minutes, we finally just got up and left without even receiving our drinks. read more

First let me start by saying the menu here is enormous. It's almost too many choices. There were quite a few things that I wanted to try which would make most people want to return. However, there is something to be said about good customer service. In this day and age good customer service is hard to come by. You can have great food and great atmosphere but if you don't have good customer service, people won't come back. Our food took a really long time to come despite it being practically empty in the restaurant. This wasn't that bad because we were talking and didn't really realize it. When the food did come out it was cold. I ordered the tacos and was really looking forward to how they would taste but they were cold. Cold tacos are not very enjoyable to eat. They say you only have one chance to make a first impression and Maggie McFly's let me down. Maybe over time I'll recover and have the courage to return to try something else on the menu. DO NOT USE GRUB HUB OR ANY OTHER DELIVERY SERVICE WITH Maggie MCFLYS. Three times I ordered delivery from Grub hub with them. Three times they got it wrong. Her is the catch. The restaurant( Maggie) is supposed to make sure the grub hub driver gets what he is supposed to pick up. The driver really does not know whats in the bag unless they take everything out and counts it. Does not happen. It is the responsibility of the restaurant to GIVE the driver the correct order and the driver MUST deliver it in a reasonable time. When we received HALF of our order we were told we have to pick it up if we want it. They don't resend grub hub drivers AND they cannot credit your account. You have to go thru a long process with grub hub to prove you did not get what you ordered. REALLY! So Like an idiot I went to Maggies to get the rest of my food. I went back to the kitchen to inquier where it was. All at once I realized why I did not get my order. The employees were having a great time back there . Laughing , joking , looked like a party. I was to upset to join in. I asked the lady who claimed was the manager and she said" the grub hub person forgot to pick up the third bag" That's a lie. And one Maggie passes on to there guests . I would not have believed it if I did not experience it myself. During this I witnessed a sloppy handeling of food, some waitstaff eating off plates which made me wonder as to the cleanliness of this place. I mean has any checked the health records? Any Food illnesses reported? I am not saying there are any or I am not infering BUT from what I have seen in a world of choices we all can do better. By the way the manager who I explained this to , just gave me a "that's the way it is smile" . NOT EVEN A SORRY ABOUT THAT. . Restaurants are all about the management and the owners. I really debated between a three and a four. But, it is so inconsistent that I couldn't give it a four. We stopped in for lunch and I got a really incredible gluten-free pasta dish (crispy chicken romano), and often when we come, the sandwiches (with gluten free bun) are pretty good, too. But, there have been a couple times (both when I ordered the french dip) that the sandwich and meat is incredibly dry. Our most recent experience was late-night when we came in about 11:40, just before the kitchen closed. We wanted to get our order in, but the bartender was totally ignoring us (not a full bar... or even close, either). Finally, he came around for our drinks, and we ordered some bar bites. I saw deviled eggs, which I love. So, I got those with wings. The wings were decent enough, but the eggs --- oh, the eggs. It is a shame that such nice eggs came to such a sad end. I literally had to go to the restroom to spit out the egg. The other three halves sat on the plate untouched. Maggie McFly's can have some great food. But, it can also offer some weak experiences, as well. It is the best of the "chain" options, even though it isn't a national chain. TL;DR: Farm fresh, fluffy, flavorful eggs, quality customer service and a wonderful brunch atmosphere makes this our new go to north Manchester Sunday Brunch spot. I didn't think I was going to be a big fan of this place because I have dark memories of Cheesecake Factory (being overwhelmed by the noise, the lights, the patrons and the pages upon pages of menu) and I could tell that this place had a lot in common with it. We attempted to go to Maggie McFly's on a Saturday night, but as anticipated that was just too much for this sensitive soul. Instead, we came back on Sunday morning for brunch. What a great idea! We were seated quickly with our pick of seating as it wasn't crowded. We opted for outdoor as it was a beautiful morning. We sat outside on the patio and there was a wonderful late summer breeze. We got a kick out of the smooth jazz music (Taylor Swift with a saxophone) wafting through the air. Our waitress was pleasant and prompt, albeit not overly so. That's fine. She did a good job. The restaurant has a wonderful farm fresh brunch on Sundays from 10:00 to 2:00. Absolutely delicious. I ordered an omelet with spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes and onions. Delectable let me tell you. The servings were plentiful. The eggs were so flavorful and fluffy. The veggies delicious. I ordered a fruit salad as a side and it wasn't one of those sad syrupy sweet fruit salads that are mostly just red grapes you sometimes get. Good sized chunks of a variety of melons (yes with grapes), served chilled. Mmm mmm good! My partner also ordered an omelet. We had been losing hope in finding a delicious brunch place in this part of Manchester, but we're so glad that we didn't give up. Not only is it delicious, the atmosphere is quite lovely. This place was outstanding. And considering it was the same price or cheaper than IHOP this is definitely our new go to spot. Those eggs are just to die for. His burger was quiet yummy my blt was just ok. The menu includes several food and drink options. I also noticed a daily happy hour special from 3pm to 6pm and brunch on Sundays. I came here on a Saturday night with my sister, and her boyfriend. We had to wait a bit for a table, which was expected. They have a system where you can give your cell number and then they'll text you when the table is ready so that's convenient for those long waits, ours was relatively short so we just hung around. We were seated in the bar area, which is never ideal and always louder, this place was no exception so talking was difficult. The food here is good, and consistent with what I've had at other Maggie's restaurants. We ordered the fried mac and cheese balls, nachos, potato skins, and spinach artichoke dip. It was a good spread of snacks and I would recommend any/all of those appetizers. The service though leaves something to be desired. It's not terrible, it's just not great. Our server was extremely inattentive. For example, I ordered a beer and she tried to serve it to my sister's boyfriend (who is not 21+). Then when I asked for containers to pack up our leftovers I was told, "Our policy is to bring the items to the back and wrap them up." I'm aware. This is policy most places. I've also worked in restaurants, and know that sometimes the manner of wrapping things up is not the cleanest so I'd prefer to do it myself. She gave in, and brought the containers, but they came with a ton of attitude throughout the rest of our interactions, which fortunately were minimal. My friend and I had never been to Maggie McFlys before, but were looking for something new to try in Manchester. Overall impression? Tasty food and good service. Our waitress Chelsea was absolutely delightful and was quick and kind when it came to any of our requests, including condiments and drink refills. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer, and it was delicious! Came with tortilla chips, vegetables, garlic bread, and potato chips. Big enough for 4 people! I ordered the turkey club and my friend ordered the buffalo chicken salad; we were both very satisfied and due to the generous portions, were able to take home leftovers for lunch the next day. I am really sad that my experience here was so bad, because I have been trying to get here forever! Unfortunately- it was really terrible. Service- the restaurant was clearly understaffed, and I believe that had an impact on my server. As did her double shift that she made sure to remind us about. However, she was not pleasant, did not smile, and was very short in how she spoke. She was very rushed when she was at our table, but took way too long to come back to us between bringing our drinks and taking our orders. We did not ask for extra time. I ordered an iced tea lemonade and it took almost 20 minutes to come to me. When I asked for it again she simply said "im waiting for it, sorry" and walked away (but at least she apologized so I appreciated that) but unfortunately when she brought it, it was warm. She did say that it might be warm as she was putting it down, but that still kinda sucks. At least it was fresh though Food- So I ordered a southern fried chicken sandwich, which is listed on the menu as coming with ranch, lettuce, and pickles. I asked for it to come on a pretzel bun. When I received it, it had tomatoes and lettuce, and no pickles, and on the normal bun. I absolutely despise tomatoes, can't even handle the juice, and would have made sure to ask for no tomatoes if it was isted this way on the menu. There was tomato juice all over the place. Also, both mine and my mother's orders came with fries, and both our fries were cold and starting to stale. They had obviously been sitting quite a while. My mom had a veggie burger which had a great flavor but could've used a little more crispness. Otherwise it was a good veggie burger and I'd eat it regularly- definitely a saving grace for our experience. The server did take back my meal and had a new one prepared, and the manager did stop at the table without our having to ask and we explained that we were displeased...he brought us new french fries immediately, and they were hot and fresh. I would, however, compare them to Mcdonald's fies...nothing special. My food, when corrected, tasted good...but I would have liked less ranch. It was DRENCHED in ranch. The ranch was good, and the chicken was good but my mom was already done with her food before i got to take my first couple of bites. I don't think the food was spectacular enough to save face, and I would probably skip going back until I knew for sure the service was better. We sat in the bar area for 15 minutes until a manager came up and asked us if we were all set. He apologized for the wait and got us some menus. He then disappeared. We waited another 10 minutes before we decided to just leave. I think at least 8 or 9 other servers walked by us too with not even asked simple "are you being taken care of?" I recently met my former nursing school friends for our monthly get together here at Maggie McFly's. You know, I am not a fan of chains. This one has a Cheesecake Factory feel; it's clean with large capacity for seating and a big bar area. The menu is huge with tons of options, a little overwhelming and does not allow for this place being super good at any one thing. They do an ok job at lots of things. It's wicked pricey for being basically a glorified diner. The service is a little lazy. Depending on who you get they are not always great at taking plates and empties, on my most recent visit they just kind of dropped off new drinks at the table and pranced away. It was not very busy. I got a turkey reuban and it was ok, the fries were thin an crispy. I had no complaints. The server said there was no way I could finish it all. This came across as a challenge and I absolutely finished it all and considered dessert. It's a good place to take a group with literally tons of options and some decent alcohol choices. I like the atmosphere at this Maggie McFly's location. It's bright with a lot of windows, but a bit clubby with a dark wood interior. We had lunch and ordered from the lunch menu. Most items were priced $10-13. I had the barbecued pork sandwich on a brioche bun. It was a bit smaller than I had hoped for. There's not much barbecue taste to it and the server asked if I wanted barbecue sauce, which I think should automatically be brought with this sandwich. And the amount brought in a small course container wasn't much. It did not come with a side dish. For lunch, side dishes are usually extra cost. My brother had the club sandwich and said it was very good, and it looked like it was. It appeared to be much more filling than the bbq pork I had. The server was pleasant enough, but was quick to rush away from our table each time she was there. If you wanted to ask a question or ask her for something, it was hard to do. The restrooms are in a far corner and there is no "Restrooms" sign visible in the restaurant that I could see. Upon leaving I asked the hostess where they were located and she directed me back to the furthest corner of the restaurant, not far from where we had been sitting. But since there was no sign, I wouldn't have known. The regular menu is extensive, and appears to have a lot of good items on it. read more

The atmosphere here is fantastic! We tried several of the bar bites during happy hour and they were quite tasty. I particularly liked the chips and flatbreads. The beer selection is immense, although it is a bit pricey even on happy hour. The bartenders and other staff were incredibly friendly. We will definitely go back soon. We have been back to Maggie's a few times since our first visit. We have sampled more of the menu and the food is delicious. The staff remember of from past visits and are very welcoming. I'd driven by the Maggie's location in Southbury a ton of times as I was traveling for work, but never had the opportunity to try it. With the opening of the Manchester location, I've now had that chance. The Manchester Maggie's is located at Buckland Hills Mall, so parking is largely going to depend on the parking situation at the mall. There are spaces right near the restaurant, but those spaces are also close to Barnes and Noble. Around holiday time, you're probably going to have a little bit of a walk. The location was bigger than I thought, and has a ton of seating. I haven't eaten at the bar, but it appears there is a decent amount of bar seating as well. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, which is nice given that 1) the place probably gets really busy, and 2) it's so large that it probably takes some time to navigate through when it's packed. They all had smiles on their faces, though, and the waitress at my table was attentive and (again) very friendly. As far as the food, the menu is really extensive, similar to the Cheesecake Factory. That's good if you are in a big group or have picky eaters, but it can take some time to navigate through and figure out what you want. I've tried burgers, sandwiches and the fries (regular and sweet potato), and all were pretty good. If you enjoy Nora's, Maggie's does have some of their cupcakes for dessert. The beer selection is quite good, as they have something like 40 beers on tap. I noticed some nice variety of breweries (local ones, Captain Lawrence, Allagash, to name a few). Overall I've had a good experience there, and it's a decent option if you want to grab lunch while you're at the mall. read more

I went there for the first time last night, my boyfriend and I went here for a beer and some of their happy hour specials, we got the nacho plate and the fried avocado. The waitress was great! We explained we didn't want meat on the nachos because I am a vegetarian so we would take the retried beans and no meat. She told us to joke that thought and wanted to verify that the beans were vegetarian, which they weren't they had beef stock in them. She could have just let me blindly eat the beef stock and honestly I probably wouldn't even know the difference but I'm glad she went the extra mile. I've been here three times thusfar. The food has always been absolutely delicious, and I always get something different as their menu is huge! 2 out of 3 times the service has been a bit slow to get us our food/drinks. The most recent 3rd time service was much quicker! The place was packed at the time too so I figured we'd be in for another long wait, so it was a pleasant surprise when our order came so quickly. This place is pretty new. It's very clean and the centerpiece of the restaurant is a beautiful bar with comfy chairs. Whenever I go, I typically sit at the bar. The bartenders have always provided great service. I like that they have a great beer selection. As far as the food goes, their menu is huge. If you have a hankering for something, they are more than likely to have it. Whatever it is. Each time I have been I have been pleased with my orders. The restaurant is located in the mall so there was ample parking for everyone. Upon entering we got a table right away without a reservation. The restaurant was packed and pretty loud. I loved that they were playing an upbeat mix of popular music. We were seated near a window and caught a nice refreshing breeze instead of being clammed up in the dining room area. The seats were comfortable and my friends even commented on how comfortable they were upon sitting. Right away we were given menus and we ordered our drinks. The waters were brought out within minutes, as well as my glass of wine. We asked for a minute to look at the menus which are HUGE! The restaurant should really think about simplifying their menus, as looking through did make it a little overwhelming to select what we wanted to order. Our waitress's name tonight was Anna, she was delightful. We ordered our appetizer and with the appetizer one of my friends ordered a "blueberry vojito", which Anna explained was like a mojito. The appetizer came out rather quickly and everything was really good. I loved that it came with raw veggies (broccoli, carrots, red, and green peppers) as well as chips for the artichoke and spinach dip. There was also garlic bread, hot wings, and some sort of egg rolls with guacamole. We didn't attempt to finish the whole thing because we wanted to save room for our entrées. Once our entrées came out Anna took the appetizer tower away upon our request and we inquired about the vojito that had been ordered. She apologized for its tardiness, went and promptly retrieved it, and struck it from our bill. My friends ordered a chicken dish with pasta that was a bit under seasoned and a burger salad that was described as really good. I ordered the gourmet grilled cheese that had 2 kinds of cheeses, bacon, and tomato on it, and a side salad which was very colorful and quite fresh. Overall it was a nice meal. We paid our bill which was handled quickly and on our way out we decided to hit up the Nora's cupcake counter. The girls behind this counter were pleasant and polite. I selected an Oreo cheesecake cupcake to take home to my husband and my friends chose a 50 shades of chocolate cupcake to split once they got home. My husband loves Nora's and was thrilled with the cupcake I presented him once I was home. I had a pleasant experience with Maggie's tonight, nothing to rave over but they did a good job. read more

For a chain, the food is probably the best chain I've ever had. The entrees like the Paella for instance is better than some fancy restaurants I've had it at. The salads are great as well and their dressings are top notch and they are made in house. Overall the food is great and we come here every so often. It can be expensive.The service is pretty decent. I'm not really a huge fan of chain restaurants, but I was willing to give them a try. The inside was pleasantly nice and I really liked the openness and the decor. The menu is quite extensive. While I appreciate restaurants having a wide variety to please everyone, it was a bit overwhelming. As one of my friends pointed out, it's hard for places to have really great dishes if there are so many to focus on. Anyways, I got the dim sum appetizer and my friends each got a sandwich with soup and a salad. All of our meals were average, and there really wasn't anything memorable about them. Service was good, and it was nice that a manager came around to check on our meals. Overall, I think everything was a little overpriced, especially for the quality that they present. I love love love Maggie's. The quality of the food for the range of menu offerings is insane. Menus change with season. I've never had a bad server. There are plenty (seriously p a g e s) of healthy, fresh dishes as well as more decadent options. If it's your first time I'd recommend the Bang-Bang Shrimp and Chicken. We went for brunch last Sunday since we have only been for happy hour/dinner and the menu is usually over whelming. The brunch menu is way shorter than the regular menu. We ordered the buttermilk pancakes with a side of bacon and french toast with a side of sausage. It was evident that the food was fresh, the pancakes were light but still delicious and the apple smoked bacon was not oily and had a slight crisp to it. Both items came with a local maple syrup and the sausage appeared to be hand made also (not the usual links but 2 patties). The french toast was perfect and visually appealing. Overall, I would rather come for brunch than dinner because I can make a decision in a few mins. Service was timely and our server was very nice. read more
