This place should be 6 stars. I love the food, specifically the giant California roll and quesadilla especially, the bar, décor, and even the bathrooms are nice. Sadly, the customer service is not to the same standard. When this place first opened up I visited often but now I have had 2 bad experiences and will not visit again. I visited earlier this week, the restaurant was slow but seating, placing an order, and receiving my food took much longer than would be expected. The waiter, who I do not know his name (short, glasses, long hair) was inattentive and looked dirty. However, there was another server, her name was Kelsey or Chelsey who was so good! When she saw we were waiting so long she offered to check on things, and when watching her with the other customers she was very impressive. She was helpful, accommodating, informative, genuine, and all around likeable. Kudos to her, wish we had her. read more

Just ate here on a recommendation of a family member and it was horrible. The service was terrible as it took 10 minutes for someone to even notice we were there. The table was sticky, the salt and pepper shakers had dried food on them and the menus actually stuck to your hands. The burger I had was as dry as an old work boot and the wife's salmon was even worse. The waitress never came back to ask if everything was ok and it was not busy. We went here on a Saturday evening during the Final Four and although it was busy, our group of 7 was seated immediately. We were promptly served our drinks and accommodate to allow our large party to navigate through the extensive menu. Any questions that we had were answered by our wonderfully by our server, a very big plus in any restaurant. Our food came out prompt, fresh, and in huge portions! Our server checked in on us multiple times to assure that all of our needs were met. At the end we didn't even have to ask for separate checks as our server was ready and had them all set up, ready to go. Most servers get visibly upset when asked to split checks but this was not my experience here. Overall it was a great experience with great food, prompt service, and accommodating staff members. We have been to Maggies several times since it opened in Manchester last fall. The food is usually quite good but the service is going down hill fast. We got there at 4:45 p.m., there was no one at the hostess stand. Finally someone came from behind the pastry case and sat us. After 10 minutes our waitress, the same woman who sat us, appeared and took our drink ourder. Someone else delivered our drinks and we sat for another 10 minutes before our waitress came and took our order. That is the first time we asked for water. A third person delivered our meal and we asked for water for the second time. When our meal was almost finished we asked a third person for water. She brought it and told us she had spoken to the manager and they would be out to see us. Then we finally saw our waitress again who asked us if we wanted another drink and said she knew we were unhappy and she was sorry but she had 8 tables inside and was just too busy. We asked her to wrap my leftovers and bring us the check. We got the check promptly! We never saw a manager and when I tried to find the box for the comment cards a man at the hostess stand said he would take it. I then told him we had a horrible experience and he just shrugged and said sorry. The food was very good and it was hot but the service was such that we will probably not be back. read more

We have been in for the brunch and for lunch a few times as well. Overall a really good experience each time. The menu is huge and the food has always been very good. Service as well has been good each time. Plenty of TV's at the bar area to watch games. We plan to keep coming back. If I had to offer one thing I would say the music playing could be a bit lower more easy to listen to. Seemed kind of loud and maybe little lower would is not a bad idea. I was there on Saturday night and had the worse experience ever. The wait staff was busy chatting with each other and ignoring customers coming in. When we found some seats at the bar, the counters were sticky and wet (disgusting) and we waited for someone to come and take our order. Not really sure if anyone was paying attention to the customers or the cleanliness of the bar. In all honesty, I would not recommend this place to anyone. Finally done. Gave this restaurants 6 chances. I was so happy when they 1st opened because food and service and managements concern for you was terrific. Last 3 times so bad and last night was the final straw. There were so many mistakes, service was terrible, we had to ask anyone that went by for things, didn't get food as described by waiter and menu. I could go on and on but if you expect the most important thing in restaurant, CONSISTENCY, go else where. Only good thing to say is lots of beer choices and nice bar to sit at. No stars at all for our visit today. 10-15 minute wait to be seated, no problem, it happened as they told us. 10-15 minute wait before we even see a server? The problem starts. Appetizer comes before we even have drinks and silverware/napkins. Problem gets bigger. Chips with the guacamole are stale. Meal comes and I still have no drink AND no silverware. Problem continues to grow. My daughter's burger is raw, still mooing. They put the teriyaki sauce cup in my salad so it's leaning and spilling sauce into my salad. Talk about a salty experience!! Super disappointing and my tip will be the equivalent of the inside of a bagel hole. read more

Everytime I have gone to this Maggie Mcfly's I always have a great experience!!! The food is always superb! The best southern fried chicken dinner you will get! The waitstaff is always very attentive and on top of things It's always busy and people are always seeming to flick to the restaurant to try this restaurant out! Both my boyfriend and I are vegan and we rarely eat out, but when we do we come to Maggie McFly's. The vintage cocktails and mixed drinks are fabulous! They incorporate local produce, and even local grassfed meat which I can appreciate. Don't leave without having dessert! The cupcakes are a literal sugar bomb, but split it with a couple people and you'll be glad you did. The place can get pretty noisy and I've never been there when its not packed to capacity, but they must be doing something right. read more

What an amazing place! Atmosphere is awesome and clean. Bar is huge. Food is absolutely amazing!! All local fresh ingredients! I've never been here before but will definitely be coming back with my friends and family!! I cannot say enough about how delicious the food was! My husband had the jambalaya and the local homemade sausage was incredible. Not too spicy, but just the right amount of spice! I ordered the Back East Beer battered fish and chips and I have to tell you it was, hands down, the best I've ever had! It's conveniently located in the Buckland mall. I highly suggest you go here and see the 10 page menu for yourself and have an amazing dinner. The drinks were also amazing. I got a Barbie martini and it was rimmed with pop rocks! Chase the manager was awesome. He went above and beyond for us and turned a bad experience into a great one. We ordered take out and initially got the local burrata and tomatoes. And a strawberry and goat cheese salad. It looked like it was picked out of a trash bin. We picked up our food got home and opened it. We were upset. We have ordered food here so many times and the food was always delicious. We had asked for extra goat goat cheese and nuts with the order and it was definitely lacking. When we picked up the order we asked the receptionist if they did include the extras and she verified they had. We got home and we're sadly disappointed. We called back and spoke with Chase and he apologized profusely. Luckily we live in the area and he told us to come back in and he would personally see that our order was up to par. So when we showed back up, Chase and Tatianna greeted us and gave us a new order that was a certified 10/10. So the food at Maggie McFly's is good and once we were seated our waitress was incredibly kind and helpful. BUT my biggest issue is that we called to make a reservation were told that they don't take reservations but do allow for "call ahead" which is like a reservation but you should expect a 5 minute wait so we said that was fine. We get there and are told that they don't in fact have our name down and that we should have made a reservation with such a large party (even though they don't make "reservations") . Face palm. Anyway we ended up waiting for a good 20-25 minutes at the bar because of their mistake and received no apology from them of any kind. Jessica and Peter were part of MY party. WE have NEVER spoken to a Raymond and for that false claim i will no longer be attending Maggy Mcfly's because if thats how you handle complaints, your ethics are very wrong. My boyfriend received a glass of MT Dew that was cracked around the middle of the glass, and there was GLASS IN HIS DRINK!!! I received Calamari that wasn't cooked all the way, and as you could see below - the other plethera of issues. Your management was rude, incompetent, and unwilling to assist in anway. Yes, wonderful you compensated a few drinks, THATS NOT ENOUGH. several of our bills should be FULLY compensated. You had a group of 20 people, those 20 people and all the others they talk to, will NOT be coming back to Maggy McFlys. FIX IT! Raymond, you did not speak to any member of our party. The menu is HUGE and there is certainly something for everyone! They had you an actual book to search through. I love the vegetarian burger. Portions are pretty generous, and there's usually enough to take home and eat later. The service is pretty on point, as well. This was our first time at this restaurant and it was a good experience. The bar bites for $3.99 each were reasonable and a less expensive choice to a full appetizer. My oldest son ordered hot wings and stated they were "spicy", as they should be. I ordered the homemade chips which were crispy and well seasoned. My husband ordered the calamari which was decent. Main lunch orders consisted of the Cobb salad (great variety of veggies and fresh), pot roast ( good except my husband noted the gravy was too heavy), farm to table burger (huge and tasty), and the kids chicken and fries (3 tenders and fries). We ended our feast with the lava cake (yummy) and bowl of dirt (I loved this!). All together the food and beverages came to $89.00 for the four of us and we were stuffed. I gave a 4 rating because our waitress was slow initially, forgetting our waters, silverware, and appetizer plates. Nice atmosphere! My son asked as we were leaving if we could come again! Just a heads up for anyone who orders take out at this place. Our employer so generously orders dinner once a week for us and we eat at the office. Several times we have been missing items. The person who picked up or supposedly complete order checked it before she left and found we were missing items once again. After alerting the staff they said they would take care of it so she waited another 15 minutes for it to be corrected. The woman returned again with the bags and said all set now, so believing they had added the missing items our co worker returned to the office only to find we were missing things again. How hard it it to check the order and make sure everything is included. We called to let them know things were still missing and they offered to deduct a meal from the bill. Well wasn't that big of them. After we told them we weren't happy with the compensation they offered a 15.00 gift card. I'm not a fan. I've been here twice for drinks and snacks with a friend, and while we had fun both times, I'd say that has largely to do with the fact that we're two friends hanging out. Maggy's food is pretty underwhelming, and the service is just "meh". To be fair, we only ever purchased the $4 bar snacks, but those definitely did not persuade me to check out their menu, which is quite thick (I find menu size is a good indicator of food quality- smaller menu generally means better food in my experience). The first time we went there, we sat at the bar and the bartender (young white dude, dark hair) was really great, actually, and attentive. So if anyone reads these reviews from Maggy's - this guy was great. However, on our last visit, we decided to sit in a booth in the bar area (I like my personal space!) because one was available. The service was subpar for sure, and the food was just... It was just your standard chain restaurant-y stuff. Nothing special. Our waitress stopped by our table maybe twice in the two hours we were there, once to check IDs and the next to take the check. This could be because we didn't order food (the dining room closes at 11, we showed up at 10. We didn't want to be "those people"). I'm pretty sure the other times my friend had to call after her to get her to stop, as she was walking back and forth from the kitchen to ??? constantly throughout the night, though at this point its pretty late and not exactly super busy. Maybe they were short staffed, I'm not sure. But it took probably 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive in the first place (just vodka/soda, not that complicated) and then I feel like my drink was more often empty than not the rest of the night. She must have walked directly past our table 25 times from the kitchen to wherever she was going.
