Very local cozy place. Highly recommend. And they are open for dinner some days of the week from 5-9pm.

I rolled the dice the other day and decided to give Maggie's Table a try. I liked the atmosphere - quaint and homey. My server, while not stellar, was pleasant and somewhat attentive, so no real complaints there. I do think charging $4 for coffee is rather steep. But the chicken biscuit I ordered for $16 (!!!) was the absolute worst I've ever had. The biscuit itself was so hard and dry that it crunched when I bit into it. And it immediately broke apart so I couldn't eat it like a sandwich. And the tiny piece of fried chicken that came on the biscuit was so overcooked it chewed like beef jerky. The hash browns were offensively dry and bland with no seasoning whatsoever. My suggestion to the cook would be to quit, move to New Orleans, and work in a kitchen there and learn how to prepare food that's palatable. read more

I know if you're checking the reviews on this place you might think this is just another five star review but it's not. Maggie's table is a great breakfast choice it's comfy it's cozy and it's usually busy. I just left five minutes ago I had gotten the breakfast chicken sandwich and the Nutella Crepes with the fresh squeezed orange juice and all of it was amazing. Not to mention a line out the door with servers with amazing service trying their best with how new this place is. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. read more

Went for the first time with my husband and a friend and ordered the eggs benedict with hash browns instead of the asparagus and it was delicious!My husband ordered the chicken biscuit with pepper jelly and goat cheese with hash browns and my friend had the three egg omelette with bacon,cheese and sweet onion with the home fries and everything tasted amazing.Maggie herself took our order and spoke to us shortly after we finished eating,she was very sweet and personable and everyone working was busting their butts to get the busy Saturday morning crowd taken care of.I loved the decor,felt like I was in a cozy cute cafe in Paris.They also serve lunch,and from their facebook page now dinner by reservation so we'll definitely be back to try that!Have seen this spot go through several different businesses but hoping Maggies Table is here to stay! read more

This place is a hidden gem. You walk in and feel like you're in Paris with crepes and everything. Very cute, cozy, quaint breakfast/lunch spot! Maggie's Table was a pleasant surprise! The menu and interior have both been refreshed and the service was personable and pleasant. I stopped by with my parents for breakfast after an early round of doctor's appointments. When I asked if they would come back again they said with a small - "Most Definitely". They enjoyed omelets - I had thev"Maggie's Bowl". The flavors of the fresh ingredients made every bite enjoyable. We will be back! read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND MAGGIE'S TABLE! Regretfully, Maggie's Table isn't the place for us to go anymore since July and change of ownership. We have tried Maggie's twice since ownership change and left disappointed each time. Same menu - Same prices, but quality & preparation of food is diminished significantly. New wait staff has issues with simple orders, wait time for food is too long, and preparation of food isn't pleasing to the eye or palate. The inside of the establishment should be fly and tobacco smoke free, but it isn't. Pastries now have the appearance of what one would purchase from Costco, Sam's, BJs, or Publix. Fresh, local made pastries were the main reason to go to eat 1-2 times a week in the past. The original staff & most patrons were like family to us and made our meals enjoyable. We're sorry that a favorite local diner is no longer our choice to support. read more

As soon we got in we got greeted immediately , the server was very on top of drinks and getting the food as fast as possible. The atmosphere felt like I was at home and everyone had a good time and laugh. The food came out in a very presentable way and it looked very good and hot. Don't waste your time! The food took forever and the grits were under cooked, and gritty, and potatoes were overcooked. After, at least, a half hour of waiting, two orders came out, said the other two were coming out right away. 10 minutes later, and did not include the toast that was supposed to come out with one of the orders. Even, a little heads up about a short staff or waiter in training would have been understandable, rather than no communication at all. Communication can go a long way, for understanding, otherwise customers are left to draw their own conclusions. The atmosphere was cute, but not worth going back. read more

I was looking for a quick bite and stopped in around 2pm. I ordered the chicken salad croissant. They chicken salad had grapes in it and was fine but the croissant was wonderful!! The home fries were well cooked. It would be nice to have other side options such as fruit, small salad or chips. On the way out I chose a piece of Lemoncello cake that the owner had baked. I waited until I got home to try it. It was delicious!! I called the owner and complimented him because you could tell he put a lot of love into it. I also signed up for a special 4 course dinner at the end of the month. His cousin will be the chef visiting from Milan. The cousin has a restaurant in Italy and is considered a top chef. He's planning a choice of sea bass or filet Mignon as the main course. My bestie and I are huge foodies so we are very really looking forward for to this reasonably priced 4 course dinner. read more

A great redesign on the place! Food was delicious (try the crepes!) and staff is so friendly and welcoming! The Pastries and Cappuccinos were excellent and you can tell thought has really been put into making the place a whole experience! We went to this place with anticipation based on the pictures on their website of breakfast items with French flair. We realize we are in Jacksonville, Florida, not Paris, and perhaps our expectations may have been a bit lofty, but we were excited to try this for sure. I do feel this place had potential, but there are a LOT of missed opportunities that would have elicited a 5 star review instead of the 2 (could've been better) that I am giving it. FOOD - was adequate and tasty - some different (French influenced) choices from your average diner for sure. But that is where it stayed - not great, not bad, diner level food. One menu item (chicken biscuit) stated goat cheese and pepper jelly. Instead of pepper jelly, it came with orange marmalade. . not a bad taste, but def not pepper jelly. You won't leave hungry, but you will leave feeling a bit let down. SERVICE - I feel it is unfair to score them down on this because it seems all restaurants are struggling these days for servers. I had to ask for the table to be recleaned as there was still sticky syrup on the table. Had to ask for silverware. Had to ask for an extra plate three times before I got one. Never was there an offer to refill my water glass. I can excuse these things however- they were not rude or unresponsive, so maybe just stressed and stretched. AMBIANCE - this is where I feel the true opportunity was missed. This place has the feel of a breakfast diner who is trying to create a French atmosphere. There were a few little touches like putting the sweetners in tea cups on the table instead of the regular plastic holders and some less than impressive wall paper on the wall and a hutch with china on one wall. Other than that, there were plastic tablecloths, worn walls with chalky patched paint, and crowded booth seating. The grill was in full view (about ten feet from our booth) , reminiscent of short order hamburger grills. There was NO ambiance of "quaint" or "French". In fact, if I had walked in there not knowing this was supposed to be French themed, I would not have even noticed the effort. OVERALL - We only had breakfast, not lunch and some of the lunch choices looked good. The price for the amount of food is about average to other diners. Seating was adequate and service prompt despite some oversights. Food was tasty, but again - kind of average. If you are in the area, it is a nice place to get a solid meal, but I don't think I would drive there again over choosing other restaurants. read more
