okay, to be honest, i've only had their Cha Mango drink from here and and i am completely obsessed with it. it taste so juicy and refreshing & they even use real mango chunks in there too. literally the perfect drink for houston's year round heat. i've also tried the Voodoo Chicken, which is just the typical chicken nugget fried with basil, i thought it was just average, it definitely could've been crispier. the atmosphere of this place is really nice, and extremely clean which i appreciate a lot, especially when you're in bellaire area. it seems like a good place to just hang out and catch up with friends here. but i probably wouldn't recommend studying / doing work here because they do play their music a bit loud. overall i feel like this is a good place to grab something thirst quenching and a nice afternoon snack. i will definitely come back one day and try the other drinks and snacks they have as well. read more

My first time visiting a BOBA DRIVE THROUGH. I wish there was a place like this in San Diego. If you're ever in Houston, TX, Bellaire area, please give this place a try! There are so many drinks to choose from, and they provide many varieties of toppings to choose from. I ordered the jasmine green milk tea and it was so good. The jasmine flavor was strong which I loved. There are many places where you order jasmine green milk tea and you don't even taste the jasmine at all. The Vietnamese coffee here is a little stronger than most places. If you don't like your coffee too strong, let them know!! The mango/pineapple drink had actual mango bits (hard mangoes) and actual squished soft mangoes. Avocado tasted fresh and tasty, Oreo frappe was ok, and the cafe sua da was probably my favorite! Bitter, tasty, fresh, and probably the largest serving I've gotten for an order of cafe sua da. Snacks: voodoo chicken was not as spicy as I'd like but was still tasty and they were pretty generous with the basil, which I liked. They made the order wrong twice for me!!! 1st When I order Wintermelon Milk Tea with Herbal Jelly but cashier did not out in So they did not have Herbal Jelly in there but one lady gave me anyway so I'm having more hope. 2nd. I tasted it. It is not wintermelon tea, it is black tea taste. When I ordered the cashier asked me "do you want wintermelon: black tea, milk , or green tea?" There is clearly a differentiate in the taste base on that explanation and so I said wintermelon milk tea (which mean no black tea or green tea, thus only milk added) I came back and asked "did I order wrong?" The chef who made my tea said "oh we added flavor in your drink so you will taste some black tea" I just said okay and walked away because I do not want to argue. However, it doesn't make sense due to the fact they have three different flavor when I ask about it. I recommend trying the sea foam teas! Although I would advise against mixing it all into the tea. I tried the Jasmine sea foam, which was great, but after mixing in too much foam became too thick and creamy. I also tried the fruit tea. It was alright; tasted like sugar water. Every time I've come here, the drinks have been wonderful and the tapioca quality is always on point. Snacks are good too, love the voodoo chicken. I definitely recommend this place! We had strawberry and banana smoothie, it was sweet and tasted lots of preserved sweetened juice and not from fresh fruits, though small cut strawberries filled the top. The voodoo puffs were not as described. I imagined very light puff but it was very dense, heavy, and made us feel bloated after the second one. We couldn't finish and had to toss away the rest. Price was but excessive for what it was, had it been made completely with fresh fruits and deliciously made light puffs then I'll gladly give 5 stars and pay for that price. read more

Food: Many of the bubble tea drinks are similar to the other tapioca places on Bellaire, but whenever I come here, I always get the 24 oz Fruit Tea Madness ($4.55). No other place makes the same kind of special teas that Magic Cup can make and I like the sweet blend that they use here. It has the right mixture of fruits, neatly sliced and cut, and sweet tea. So far Magic Cup is the only place that makes it the way I like it and for that, this place gets a (5/5) on drinks. Service: Similar to other teahouses, they have board games for you to play, and plentiful number of seats to sit (both inside and outside) and enjoy your drink. A huge difference is that they have a drive-thru so you can order your drinks without even leaving your car. Other than that, service is quick, and I never had issues with my drink at all. Overall, service gets a 4.5. Price: Similar prices to all the other teahouses on Bellaire. They are usually between $4 and $5, and if you want any add-ons, then that will cost you extra. Overall: I recommend Magic Cup for the special teas that they have here. Located in a secluded area (far away from many of the restaurants) so it is not within walking distance of many restaurants, but that means that also means it is easy to find a parking spot. My friend and I came a little after 12:30 and it was a decent crowd here. He got the pho dipping sandwich and iced Viet coffee. I got the milk tea (no boba) and kimchi fries (bacon bits and a egg were extra $ so I chose the egg) all for around $10. The broth for the dipping ramen was great but the sandwich had a tad too many veggies for my liking so it overwhelmed the sandwich. The Viet coffee tasted more like a mocha than a traditional Viet coffee so that was kind of weird. The kimchi fries were perfect. I ate the whole thing and it was more than enough to satisfy me for lunch. The place is all green and white interior, cheery and super modern. I base my drink places based on the classic milk tea and this place had great milk tea. The wifi here was fast and there were lots of students here working on stuff on their laptops. I don't leave very many reviews, but when I had a delicious dream about Magic Cup in my sleep after visiting, well... how could I not?! While visiting Houston, I stopped by here and ordered the Matcha Green Tea Frap. I told the girl working there that I don't particularly like fraps because they are too sweet but that I love Matcha. She said she would make it half sweetened, and wow, she made it PERFECT! I was so sad to see it go when I finish the drink. The food there was so yummy too - I tried the voodoo chicken and the magic puffs. I'd highly recommend getting both! I'll definitely be back the next time I visit Houston! I don't normally crave tapioca and today was just one of those days. Did a tapioca run for the family and wow I totally forgot how expensive these drinks are! 6 drinks for $28! Anyway, I called ahead of time to placed my order so hopefully by the time I got there, grab and go. Well it was a few minutes delayed but no biggie. The workers were were polite and kept assuring it was in the works. I ordered 2 milk teas, 2 avocado smoothies and 2 Oreo shakes. Avocado smoothie looks unpleasant to me but my mom and brother likes it. Both my nieces enjoyed the Oreo shakes. Now to me, the milk tea was underwhelming. I specifically asked for it to not be too sweet. But my milk tea was already pre made in a dispenser.. so they totally disregarded the fact that I asked for less sugar! The milk tea isn't overly sweet either! If I feel like switching things up, then I get the jasmine green tea with half sugar! I really like the space too, it's open, its spacious, and it's not overly crowded on most days. Drive through is great too. The staff is very friendly! The employee work slow and they mess up my order on 2 drinks. The guy that took our order wasn't even listening to what we say. I've visited here on a number of different days and times and they are always busy, but always efficient. Have never tried the food, so for now this is only based on drinks. I've tried most drinks on their menu, but my favorite "go to" is the Fruit Tea Madness. The tea is light and sweet and I like all the little bits of fruit and jellies at the bottom. My plan B would be either the mango or strawberry smoothie. You can tell they're blended with fresh fruit and then they're topped with (again) tiny pieces of chopped fruit. So good! I recently had the coffee milk tea w/ coffee jelly, also good. The only drink that I've tried that I just did not care for was the coconut taro smoothie. It tasted powdery. I've been to so many boba shops and this one really hits the top of my list for their quality, variety, and boba consistency. My favorite drink is their coffee milk tea. They take Vietnamese coffee to the next level by blending it with their house special milk tea to create an amazing drink that has caffeine from the best of both worlds. This place used to be really good but recently the quality and experience have been subpar. I ordered a thai green tea and a pineapple strawberry green tea with boba and mango jelly. Both were disappointing. The pineapple green tea just tasted like bland diluted green tea even given that the drink is probably flavored with pineapple and strawberry syrup. The drink was missing the mango jelly. Even worse, the service was terrible. The person taking order keeps making mistakes when inputting the information. Service was so slow and made the order incorrectly even when food traffic was light. At least, if service is slow the order should be made correctly. Unfortunately that was not the case. The extra employee just stood there playing on her phone instead of helping the other two employees to make drink when the many orders were coming in quickly. The kimchi fries were really good, except their was too much kimchi & not enough fries. Also, the little Hispanic girl who took our order was rude & looked like she hated her life. They also offer a lot of games to play. Join their rewards program for discounts, free treats and drinks. No punch card required; just punch in your number. I'm loving this place. Each time I step in, I am greeted by the friendly staff and see pictures of great food and drinks on their menu. They tend to keep up with trends as well and bring up some new drinks once in a while. One time when Pokemon Go first came out, they dressed some drinks and named them after pokemon. I first heard of this place because they serve mangonadas. They still do! I've had one and it was delicious. I have also had the avocado and coconut taro smoothies and they were filled to the top rim of the cup. The milk teas and thai green milk tea was pretty great too. Came to Magic Cup after eating Korean BBQ with my boyfriend's family. I ordered the Honey Milk Tea and we received our order quickly. I enjoyed the drink but I felt that they put too much ice in it, so there was not much of the drink to enjoy. It's a bit disappointing but my overall experience was not bad. I also love how their cups have a Christmas theme on them, it's cute and makes it unique. Giving this place a five star rating is probably a bit extreme considering I only got a Thai iced tea. Well actually it was a Thai iced bubble tea. It cost me about $4.50 and normally I would find that pretty expensive except this was probably one of the better drinks I've had in a while. The cool thing about this place is that there is a drive-through, kind of like a Starbucks, only infinite Lee less terrible. I wish we had these in Austin because I would definitely come back here.
