The service for pedicures seems to be there number one thing . But every time I've gone to get a pedicure here a week or less I have ingrowns in my toe nails especially the big toes . And there not normal ingrown toe nails either their infected puss-like green infected puss that comes out . I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL ! I've had to got to the hospital every time and have them removed and antibiotics given to me ! NEVER! And this has happened to my wife every time too! Soooooo mad! So here goes me rant. I have been coming with Kim a very long time. Now, she only works weekends. So I book my appointment 4 days prior to the day, at 9am..I get there at 8:50 for a mani/pedi..Kim sets me up and starts with my hands..a lady then walks in and gives me a look because she had an appointment at the same time and says "well I have to be out of here by 10am"....UMM SO DO I, which is why I set an early appointment..Well, Kim stopped working on me and starting working on this other rude lady. Don't bother wasting your time and money! Horrible job and super slow service. They had me sitting with my feet soaking in water for 30 min before they even touched me and then when the lady who I think is the owner did my hands she was on personal business the whole time! She was starting and stopping, on the phone (her cell) and walking around talking. I will never go to this place again. And then when I called for directions the lady that answered spoke no English and was getting g mad and gave the phone to a man who didn't understand much English. My nails chipped after 1 day! honestly DO NOT come here, I only had my nails FOR A WEEK and they already started BREAKING and FALLING OFF and BECOMING LOOSE, and I'm very careful with my nails and hadn't even been out and they were still falling off ALSO bad service, the guy literally took MORE THAN AN HOUR to do my nails that he didn't even clean right , I was cut on my fingers multiple times and he was taking longer because he was TEXTING in between doing my nails and apparently their light was not working and he took 20 minutes trying to fix it when that's something that should be done on their time , find a new nail spot this ain't it .. 0 stars AND OVERPRICED read more

I've been a costumer for about three years and the ladies never disappoint. I always call in and request Kim she's amazing! From the cut all the way down to the massage. The tools are nice n' clean and the nail polish application is always neat. I usually bring cash since they have a transaction fee for debit/credit card. I have been coming to Magic Nails and Spa since they opened. I have had my nails done, pedicures, facials, waxing, eyebrow shaping and eyelashes. The staff is friendly and I have always had a wonderful experience with the work done and in the area of customer service. I believe the prices are competitive and I've experienced a clean and healthy environment. Vanna, who is the manager, is extremely caring, conscientious and a perfectionist! I love her work!! I know she will work with a client whenever there is any type of concern. I wonder if the folks that have allegedly had issues have tried to resolve them with her. Terrible customer service hate how they speak among themselves in their language. One of them did my toes that was ok and when they where going to start on my hands they started talking in their language and laughing. So she takes off and starts doing someone's else pedicure . I'm like okkkk....I waited for like 40 mins and finally someone started nasty attitude she did my nails and she did horribly! Think acrylic they look lumpy really thick!!! A pedicure should not be a painful experience and mine was. I still feel discomfort on my big toe. The lady was too rough with the foot scrub. I decided to try this place for the first time because i recently moved and this is closer to me. I rather drive a distance to my usual spot. Wait time can be long. I saw 3 people walk-out while I was there and they were already seated in the spa. I will not be back. I rather try a new place or drive to my old nail place. read more

Plus they also have the most up-to date design styles available. I went in today for a gel mani and pedi and had two different ladies working on me. The lady doing my pedi cut the side of one of my toenails and made me bleed. It also hurt so bad!!! I lm hoping I don't get an infection or an ingrown toe nail! She also painted my toe nails so sloppy!! The lady doing my mani also did a horrible job! They do great nails love it! But I just got my eyelashes done and they fell off and I got a eye infection and then some of my eyelashes fell off! Go to Kim for the bikini wax, it is the BEST bikini wax in Montebello, not just in Montebello... in LA! Seriously. I've been to a ton of different places for bikini waxes and used to have a membership at European Wax Center, but now I've dropped all that because Kim has this special way of being more gentle and meticulous than any other waxer I've ever visited. I've never fallen asleep during a wax but I almost did with Kim because I didn't feel a thing! This is not a quick bikini wax -- she definitely takes her time. But it's totally worth it in the end. They should rename the salon Magic Wax because Kim is truly a magician. read more

The only reason I came to this place was because they had a child chair. Brought my daughter to get a pedicure they did good in taking care of her she enjoyed it and loved the mini chair. For both of our pedicures it was $43 a bit pricey if u ask me. read more

I used to go to Vana while she was at Top Line Nails and then when she moved to another location in Montebello. I stopped going to her because every single time I made an appointment she would always have someone sitting in her chair. I stopped going to her because I got tired of waiting for at least 45 minutes to be seen. Years later I decided to give her a chance again. I found out she opened this salon and started going to her. Well on my 2nd appointment I arrived on time and yup she was starting to work on someone. I waited because I had driven pretty far to get my nails done. And now today I made my appointment early this morning and when I arrived she was starting a full set. I gave it a few minutes to see if she would tell her client "my appointment is here" but instead she told me to wait 45 minutes. I am DONE!!!! Never again!! Oh and also I hate to put her on blast like this but everyone should know, the last time I took my daughter to get her manicure there she saw the Co-Owner scratching the bottom of his feet and picking skin off his feet while he waited for his client to return from using the restroom. Horrible service. Came here with my mom to get her nails done. She has a prosthetic leg and can not walk correctly and they all ask her pedicure??? My mom said no and they all laughed. She sat down and the old man kept incsiting she get gel. She said NO. So the guy starts doing her nails and tells her to go wash hands and my mom says I can not walk far and the stupid guy made a face and my mom apoligized to him. He starts adding the acrylic and painting her nails and this young girl in a dress comes for a pedicure and this guy literally almost broke his neck to watch her sit down. He kept looking at her while doing my moms nails and he didn't even put the acrylic correctly because I can see the gap of her real nail. And he did not paint them right either you can see the nail under the paint. Horrible service. STAY AWAY FROM THE OLD MAN! Only one lady helped me and my mom and she was very nice. read more

One thing I learned : they service you by "seniority". Don't go here unless your willing to be patient and jump around from station to station. And if you're still willing, do not go to Tammy. I've been coming here for a couple years now. All the ladies do a great job and are always friendly. They are very clean and they sterilize their instruments. I like that they use new files and scrub sponges for each customer. Totally worth the price, if you want a safer, cleaner mani pedi. read more
