Albert was outstanding all across the board. I requested same day service for an unexpected AC issue in the middle of a heatwave and Albert was able to arrive within a few hours. He was very thorough, informative, professional, and kind. I am normally wary of new contractors, but I felt immediately at ease with Albert. The cost for everything was very reasonable, especially considering it was an emergency AC repair. I am so grateful for this company and for Albert's service! Albert did a great job fixing our HVAC system. First of all, he was timely in his response on a Saturday, making availability for us later that day. He arrived when he said he would, and we appreciated his punctuality. Our HVAC system was not blowing air into our house. Upon inspection, Albert said that the system had a faulty motor (it was 15 years old) and that it would need to be replaced. He didn't have the part with him on Saturday, but ordered it, had it shipped, and installed it on Wednesday. He arrived on Wednesday at the time promised, did the work, and let the area clean. What I liked: 1. He was honest. He did have an off-brand motor with him in the truck on Saturday, but he said it would be much louder than the Carrier brand motor. He said that he would be hesitant to install the non-brand motor because it would be much louder in the house. 2. He was honest, again. He could have told us that our HVAC was broken and needed to be fully replaced for thousands of dollars. He did not. He told us that just replacing the motor and coil costs a fraction of a new HVAC system. He said that this usually fixes the issue in 98% of the cases. He said that our Carrier HVAC should last 25 years and was not racing to pitch us a new, expensive system. 3. He was helpful. We also had an upstairs bedroom that needed to be cooled properly. He headed up to the attic with me, pointed out kinked venting that was blocking airflow (that two other vendors never mentioned in past years), and offered a quick fix that worked to help the room heat/cool properly. This took us about 15 minutes, and he charged nothing for the quick fix. I would definitely use Albert again and highly recommend him if you have HVAC issues. read more

On the hottest day of the year to date, Magna Tech was able to send a technician to our townhouse and diagnose/repair the issue. They replaced our faulty thermostat and did a quick evaluation of the AC unit to ensure there were no other problems. They were responsive, informative, and so helpful! read more

Our air conditioning unit bit the dust during one of the hottest weeks and Albert came out and diagnosed the problem right away. He called to locate the needed part and informed us it would not be available for 3 days. An hour or so later he called back and said he had found the part at another location and would be out the next morning to do the repair. He was very professional, knowledgeable and we were so impressed that he continued to try to locate the necessary part. Summer 2019, our AC breaks in the middle of the worst heat wave in a decade. Albert was quick to respond to my request for information, gave us competitive pricing, and finished up the job in less time than he originally estimated. Quality! When our water heater broke a few months later, Albert again gave us an estimate, but then recommended we contact the guy he himself uses for plumbing, because that guy runs a plumbing-focused business, and while Albert said he could certainly replace our water heater, this guy would do a great job for less. Integrity! And just this weekend, when our g-d heating system crapped out in late January (29 degrees outside! We have a little kid!), Albert came to our house twice in one weekend to troubleshoot, and fixed whatever stupid broken wire had given out--and didn't even charge for the second visit. Service! I had an issue with my HVAC not turning on over the last week with the heat wave and I could not leave my family without air conditioning. My 1 year old heating system malfunctioned due to the bad set up by the previous HVAC company, causing the house to be unbearably cold. Magna was able to visit the same day, did the diagnosis and pointed out the fix - which was really simple as all the units themselves dont have any issue. It was quick and everything is back to normal. I was in a conference call so i was very busy but the gentleman (forgot to ask his name) followed thru with his job smoothly. I feel bad that I didn't write earlier but Alfred and his team have always been awesome! I had to drop my maintenance plan with another company after that company failed to show up soon enough when I needed them the most. Alfred saved us on multiple occasions by coming out on short notice. It's hard to find an honest company that also provides quality work, you can't go wrong here. I joined yelp to write this review. I contacted Albert about cleaning our air vents and dryer vent in our new home. Albert contracts with Andy's Duct Cleaning and they were awesome, professional, super friendly, clean, and efficient. The following day I came to the house to let another contractor in and it was 93 degrees in the house. I panicked called Albert who said he could come by that afternoon. He came by and did a full check of our system, and even took the time to show me the ins and outs of the system. Turns out the issue was user error! He then proceeded to not charge me at all. We recently had work done on our water heater by Albert at Magna Tech. This was our second time with Magna Tech, and both experiences were exceptional. The most recent was a small job repairing a leak at the water heater drain spigot while the first job was a big one installing all new AC. In both cases, Albert was on time, professional, and friendly, with great quality of work.
