Tried this well-known steakhouse for the first time this past weekend with a group of six friends, and we were exceptionally well taken care of by our waitress. I never had the chance to visit the original location, which I've always thought had more character from the outside, but this spot didn't disappoint. For drinks, I went with an Espresso Martini and it disappeared in no time. Delicious, and I might even say one of the best in town! My husband had the Single Barrel Old Fashioned and thought it was great. Later in the night I ordered the Sourball Lemon Drop and so glad the waitress recommended it. So good! To start, my husband ordered the house salad and raved about it. The portion was huge, almost entree-sized. I didn't get a picture, but it looked fantastic. For my main, I went with the Chef's Classics 6oz Filet Mignon, served with Chive Whipped Potatoes. I ordered my steak medium, and it came perfectly cooked. The filet was absolutely fantastic, and the whipped potatoes were a perfect complement. We also shared a side of Sautéed Hand-Cut Corn, which we both loved. My husband went with the house special of the night, the Porterhouse Steak, and was very pleased with his choice. We finished everything on our plates, which rarely happens, and left already planning our next visit.

I had a wonderful meal! My Manhattan was perfectly balanced. My filet was cooked correctly and very tender. Ironically, I think the star of the show for me was the smoked au gratin potatoes and the brussels sprouts. I enjoyed my steak, but those two sides were special and delicious. I had a crème brûlée for dessert which was perfectly cooked with a thin crispy layer on the top

Went here for my husband's bday again and it is still our favorite steakhouse in Omaha. The service is top notch and the food and cocktails are delicious. It is classic, upscale steakhouse that isn't trying to be cool or instagramable. The servers all said Happy Birthday to my husband and gave him a 4 PC box of chocolates. We ordered the calamari for the kids. I think it was a mango sauce that came with it and it was delicious. We started off the the yummy rolls and wedge salad. I ordered the 12 oz filet mignon and it was so yummy and tender. My husband ordered the Ribeye. We also got the creamy whipped potatoes, spinach, and buttons. Forgot to mention we ordered two cocktails each. I started off with the aviation and ended with a gin martini with a twist that was shaken tableware. We will probably come here again for my husband's birthday next year but hopefully we will nake it back sooner.

Went here for a work function and the staff is exceptional, very attentive and our large group was served quickly once we all arrived. It was quiet enough to talk and hear conversations. Food was phenomenal, pork belly app was my favorite, Caesar salad was a good size and my steak was cooked perfectly. The truffle butter was very good too. If you are looking for top notch service and good food and price is no object this is a great place!

It was that kind of year where you forget you even have a birthday. I'm not sure if I should give a rating of 1 or 5. Why 1? As couples or married diners, a booth should always be the choice--especially if there was a reservation fee. (There was one empty booth when we arrived, and it remained empty even after we left.) I'm off with the ambiance They seated us in a high-traffic area, and the waiters kept bumping into my chair. I couldn't even hear the waiter's voice properly--it made me feel like he was talking to himself. --- Why 5? I can't count how many times I've been here. Mahogany takes special occasions seriously. They acknowledged my birthday five times, which made my day feel incredibly special. I loved it so much that I want to bring my friends here to celebrate their birthdays too. The A5 Japanese wagyu--oh my god, it melted in my mouth! The food and service are always top-notch, and they remain my absolute favorite. They recently relocated, but the experience is just as amazing as ever.

First, the restaurant had top notch service. Very friendly and attentive. For dinner we had: calamari, chop house salad, sea bass, bone in fillet, spinach, potatoes, risotto, and the crème brûlée cheesecake. Some of it was excellent like the cheesecake and, the au gratin potatoes. The filet was good, but not up to par with other restaurants like this one. I've had much better steaks at Flemmings. I'm used to these types of restaurants having piping hot steak on a hot plate and this one was just normal. It wasn't buttery tender like I'd expect from the quality of beef that should have been served here. The sea bass had a fishy taste to it. It was cooked well and the toppings were good, but I've had better quality sea bass at Bonefish. Overall, good seasonings, but way overpriced for the quality of the meats. This was my first trip to Mahogany and I am underwhelmed. At this price point there won't be a second trip there.

If you're celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or any special occasion at Mahogany Steakhouse in Omaha, be sure to let them know when you make your reservation--they'll treat you to a complimentary box of chocolates! We celebrated our daughter's birthday, Father's Day, and our 25th wedding anniversary there last night, and everything was exceptional. The truffles were rich and indulgent! Our server, Wes, provided outstanding service, and the food was phenomenal from start to finish--we especially enjoyed the appetizers and entrées. This new location has a warm, inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend checking it out and give it a try!

It's such a great steakhouse! The vibe is great and the venue is beautiful. I absolutely love their ribeye. The manager was great and the service was amazing! I can't complain. The Caesar salad was good, but it was the steak that stole the show. I would definitely come back here in the future. For Thinsulin fans, there's enough green light options.

Mahogany Prime Steakhouse epitomizes the pinnacle of fine dining in Omaha. From the moment we stepped through the rotating doors, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of refined elegance blended effortlessly with a welcoming, casual charm. The impeccable service started with a warm greeting and continued throughout the evening with attentive yet unobtrusive care. Our culinary journey began with the Seafood Centerpiece appetizer, a stunning display of freshness and flavor-- crabcakes, fried calamari, nd fresh chilled shrimp with three different dipping sauces. The beet salad followed, a delightful blend of earthy sweetness and crisp textures. The main course was a feast fit for royalty: the cowboy ribeye, perfectly marbled and bursting with robust flavor, alongside the 12 oz. filet, tender and cooked to perfection. The sides of garlic mash, asparagus, and green beans complemented the steaks beautifully, each dish showcasing meticulous attention to detail and quality. Little details like finding napkins refolded on the table upon return from the washroom, and silver service replaced after each course highlighted the amazing service-- even with children in our party for an early supper. The wine list at Mahogany Prime Steakhouse is nothing short of impressive, offering a curated selection that enhances every dish on the menu. Our server expertly guided us to the perfect pairing, elevating our dining experience even further. As we indulged in desserts, we savored every bite of the key lime pie, its tangy sweetness balanced by a buttery crust; the brûlée cheesecake, a creamy sensation with a caramelized top, and the triple-layer chocolate cake, a decadent finale that left us dreaming of our next visit. Throughout the evening, the ambiance remained sophisticated yet approachable, with soft lighting and tasteful décor creating an intimate setting perfect for both celebrations and intimate dinners alike. Mahogany Prime Steakhouse is not just a restaurant; it is an experience crafted with passion and dedication to culinary excellence. Every detail, from the food to the service to the ambiance, reflects a commitment to creating memorable dining moments. For anyone seeking a memorable dining experience that delights the senses and nourishes the soul, Mahogany Prime Steakhouse stands as a beacon of culinary greatness. This is a must-visit when you're in Omaha, and a fine addition to your restaurant rotation if you're a local. My deepest compliments to the management, the servers, support staff, and front end crew for an outstanding five-star experience. I can't wait to return on our next visit to Omaha.

We loved being reintroduced to this old friend in a new location. It lived up to the quality and luxury service experience of the original location. We started with two vastly different appetizers - the oysters and the pork belly and it is hard to pick a favorite. The soups - bisque for me and french onion for my husband - both were as good as we remembered. The side dishes of au gratin potatoes were delicious but the night's special carrot side dish was exceptional. For main dishes we had the New York Strip and the Bison, both cooked to perfection.

    Old fashioned. Very good.

They definitely have/had some pretty high prices compared to other eateries in the area. I'm not sure if that is caused by cost of goods or location or what, but I think that did come into play when a lot of economic hardship is happening all over. Like I mentioned above, I DID like their food, but it definitely had to be a special occasion type of thing, due to the high prices. When we did go, I LOVED the Maryland Crab Dip. It reminded me of my favorite crab dip in the world, at the SweetWater Brewing Company in Atlanta. We also had the Green Bean Almandine that was on special last time we went and that was pretty good, but you have to be a green bean fan, for sure. I decided to try the sushi as my main dish last time, and had the Everything Crunch Maki, which consisted of cooked salmon, jalapeño, and cream cheese. It was pretty good, and had a little hint of spice to it from the jalapeño, which cut the heavy cream aspect. My husband had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon for his entree, and gave me a few bites. It was cooked well and the mushroom risotto below it was very flavorful and filling. The cute nautical ambiance and excellent service were always appreciated, so no complaints there either. I think if they had been in a different area with less expensive rent and cost of goods, I may have visited more often.

Honestly, we weren't that... impressed, but we gave it a valiant go on both meals chosen! Kinda bummed there wasn't a drink menu with cocktails, but they had a great selection of wine ranging from $100-$500 a bottle. So, we stuck with water. Bread and creamy butter was dropped off while we waited and who can't resist a warm roll? Got the Trail Boss Prime Rib, with salad bar, and baked potato side was requested as medium. The au ju lacked flavor, and only lasted a few bites before not used at all. The baked potato was delish though! Prime rib was very tender, a lot of cap which was nice, but it was just sorta.. average. I snagged their Teriyaki Tenderloin Kabob on a bed of wild rice, salad bar, and asparagus side (probably the first restaurant I've seen that's offered asparagus as an actual side), requested well done. By all accounts it does look a bit charred, but when the veggies were pulled apart, they were warm and tender and paired well with the teriyaki and rice. That rice was delish! Asparagus didn't blow any air up my skirt unfortunately, because I really wanted it to blow my mind. I felt like we left a lot of food on our plates, but that could've just been how it was. We just felt... underwhelmed and wasn't picking up on all the hype.

Friendly service, comfy setting, and oh yeah - the food! Unfortunately for me, there is too much seafood on the menu but there's always something. People rave about the seafood dishes so I'll trust them and say it must be good. I'm just not into it. On this visit, we each ordered a cocktail. I decided to try the lemon martini which I never order and OH MY GOODNESS. It was awesome! They nailed it. The limoncello brought it home. My dining partner had a dirty martini and was satisfied as well. We enjoyed a Spezia salad which featured mixed greens, prosciutto, tomato, Kalamata olives, and a house vinaigrette. It all combined so well. The lettuce was wonderfully fresh, no need to pick out rotting leaves like some places. The dressing was simply light and delish. We shared a plate of spaghetti. You get several options to add to it. The grilled spicy Italian sausage sounded good. I'm not sure which was better. The sausage or the marinara sauce. Both were soooooo good!! The sausage was truly grilled and spicy and just amazing, and it was not greasy either. The marinara sauce challenged my own that I make at home. We devoured that plate of spaghetti which was big enough to share. I forgot to take a picture as it was served so I am sharing a tight shot of half the order after we divided it.

We arrived for our reservation and were seated at 6:40 where we weren't greeted by our waiter for quite awhile. It took a long time to get our drinks and I had to ask for bread so we decided to skip appetizers and go straight to our entree. When ordering the entree our waiter said "and which salad would you like?" And then listed the salad options. Normally when ordering a main and the waiter says which salad do you want that's because the salad comes with the meal. Nope. We were charged $11 per salad that we didn't even really want. The salads were your average side salad, but thankfully had good dressings. We hadn't brought up salads, the waiter did when we ordered our entree. So we were disappointed to have $20+ in salads that we didn't request until the waiter offered them. Our salads were finished for at least 15 minutes before our main entree came out at about 7:30, nearly an hour after we had been seated. My shrimp scampi was good, the broccolini was a touch under cooked but the flavors were still good, and the shrimp was surprisingly large in size and cooked exactly how it should be. Had we been served quicker and not offered things that didn't come with our meal when ordering our meal we may have been happier, hard to say. The table next to us was sat about 10 minute after us and had a different waitress. They received their entire meal (including bread & apps) and left before we were offered dessert. The food is good, I won't discredit that at all. But when coming to a restaurant like this you are expecting a level of service that we just didn't get. I'm sure we'll try again in the future and if service is better I will definitely update my review but for now, this was a let down of a birthday dinner.

Hoped I didn't get sick. Unpleasant texture. Not mixed tableside, we mixed the raw egg into the dish ourselves. Three steaks were severely undercooked. My steak (bone in filet special) was MR, I asked for MW. It tasted as if it was marinated low quality beef, chewy, difficult to cut, (yes, this filet was not easy to cut with a quality steak knife), odd texture. colleagues steak was basically raw (appeared bloody red)--he'd requested MR, sent it back to kitchen twice! Another colleagues steak was very Rare. Steaks were really disappointing as was the preparation. Our party of five was surprised when the steak was returned still undercooked. Considering the quality of my bone in filet steak and the undercooked steaks, I won't return to this location. There's a kitchen issue that needs to be resolved and the manager when that steak was recooked for second time should have observed it was still very rare when he delivered it because our table of five all did. Less than stellar experience due to the subpar beef tartare and steaks.

And my friend got the chipotle potatoes au gratin and said he could barely get the potato flavor. We all had the three course meal and most of us got the steak. We all ordered at different temperatures including medium well and they all came out rare or just uneven. It was good flavor and it wasn't too chewy so we all just ate it with no complaints! Along with the three course meal was a mini dessert so we all tried each and they all fell flat.
