Tried this well-known steakhouse for the first time this past weekend with a group of six friends, and we were exceptionally well taken care of by our waitress. I never had the chance to visit the original location, which I've always thought had more character from the outside, but [[HIGHLIGHT]]this spot didn't disappoint.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For drinks, I went with an Espresso Martini and it disappeared in no time. Delicious, and I might even say one of the best in town! My husband had the Single Barrel Old Fashioned and thought it was great. Later in the night I ordered the Sourball Lemon Drop and so glad the waitress recommended it. So good! To start, my husband ordered the house salad and raved about it. The portion was huge, almost entree-sized. I didn't get a picture, but it looked fantastic. For my main, I went with the Chef's Classics 6oz Filet Mignon, served with Chive Whipped Potatoes. I ordered my steak medium, and it came perfectly cooked. The filet was absolutely fantastic, and the whipped potatoes were a perfect complement. We also shared a side of Sautéed Hand-Cut Corn, which we both loved. My husband went with the house special of the night, the Porterhouse Steak, and was very pleased with his choice. We finished everything on our plates, which rarely happens, and left already planning our next visit.

I had a wonderful meal! My Manhattan was perfectly balanced. My filet was cooked correctly and very tender. Ironically, I think the star of the show for me was the smoked au gratin potatoes and the brussels sprouts. I enjoyed my steak, but those two sides were special and delicious. I had a crème brûlée for dessert which was perfectly cooked with a thin crispy layer on the top

Went here for a work function and the staff is exceptional, very attentive and our large group was served quickly once we all arrived. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was quiet enough to talk and hear conversations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food was phenomenal, pork belly app was my favorite, Caesar salad was a good size and my steak was cooked perfectly. The truffle butter was very good too. If you are looking for top notch service and good food and price is no object this is a great place!

Went here for my husband's bday again and it is still our favorite steakhouse in Omaha. The service is top notch and the food and cocktails are delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is classic, upscale steakhouse that isn't trying to be cool or instagramable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The servers all said Happy Birthday to my husband and gave him a 4 PC box of chocolates. We ordered the calamari for the kids. I think it was a mango sauce that came with it and it was delicious. We started off the the yummy rolls and wedge salad. I ordered the 12 oz filet mignon and it was so yummy and tender. My husband ordered the Ribeye. We also got the creamy whipped potatoes, spinach, and buttons. Forgot to mention we ordered two cocktails each. I started off with the aviation and ended with a gin martini with a twist that was shaken tableware. We will probably come here again for my husband's birthday next year but hopefully we will nake it back sooner.

It was that kind of year where you forget you even have a birthday. I'm not sure if I should give a rating of 1 or 5. Why 1? As couples or married diners, a booth should always be the choice--especially if there was a reservation fee. (There was one empty booth when we arrived, and it remained empty even after we left.) I'm off with the ambiance They seated us in a high-traffic area, and the waiters kept bumping into my chair. I couldn't even hear the waiter's voice properly--it made me feel like he was talking to himself. --- Why 5? I can't count how many times I've been here. Mahogany takes special occasions seriously. They acknowledged my birthday five times, which made my day feel incredibly special. I loved it so much that I want to bring my friends here to celebrate their birthdays too. The A5 Japanese wagyu--oh my god, it melted in my mouth! The food and service are always top-notch, and they remain my absolute favorite. They recently relocated, but the experience is just as amazing as ever.

First, the restaurant had top notch service. Very friendly and attentive. For dinner we had: calamari, chop house salad, sea bass, bone in fillet, spinach, potatoes, risotto, and the crème brûlée cheesecake. Some of it was excellent like the cheesecake and, the au gratin potatoes. The filet was good, but not up to par with other restaurants like this one. I've had much better steaks at Flemmings. I'm used to these types of restaurants having piping hot steak on a hot plate and this one was just normal. It wasn't buttery tender like I'd expect from the quality of beef that should have been served here. The sea bass had a fishy taste to it. It was cooked well and the toppings were good, but I've had better quality sea bass at Bonefish. Overall, good seasonings, but way overpriced for the quality of the meats. This was my first trip to Mahogany and I am underwhelmed. At this price point there won't be a second trip there.

If you're celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or any special occasion at Mahogany Steakhouse in Omaha, be sure to let them know when you make your reservation--they'll treat you to a complimentary box of chocolates! We celebrated our daughter's birthday, Father's Day, and our 25th wedding anniversary there last night, and everything was exceptional. The truffles were rich and indulgent! Our server, Wes, provided outstanding service, and the food was phenomenal from start to finish--we especially enjoyed the appetizers and entrées. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This new location has a warm, inviting atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommend checking it out and give it a try!

It's such a great steakhouse! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is great and the venue is beautiful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I absolutely love their ribeye. The manager was great and the service was amazing! I can't complain. The Caesar salad was good, but it was the steak that stole the show. I would definitely come back here in the future. For Thinsulin fans, there's enough green light options.

    Old fashioned. Very good.

This place is special. Wonderful wait staff, perfect food. We ordered a 12oz filet mignon and I doubt it's possible for a steak to be better. Wedge salad was perfect too. We had three sides and the were great as well. Hot bread right out of the oven. Seriously, our meal was 100% perfect in every way. Could not recommend this restaurant more highly. Five stars!

We loved being reintroduced to this old friend in a new location. It lived up to the quality and luxury service experience of the original location. We started with two vastly different appetizers - the oysters and the pork belly and it is hard to pick a favorite. The soups - bisque for me and french onion for my husband - both were as good as we remembered. The side dishes of au gratin potatoes were delicious but the night's special carrot side dish was exceptional. For main dishes we had the New York Strip and the Bison, both cooked to perfection.

Mahogany Prime Steakhouse epitomizes the pinnacle of fine dining in Omaha. From the moment we stepped through the rotating doors, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of refined elegance blended effortlessly with a welcoming, casual charm. The impeccable service started with a warm greeting and continued throughout the evening with attentive yet unobtrusive care. Our culinary journey began with the Seafood Centerpiece appetizer, a stunning display of freshness and flavor-- crabcakes, fried calamari, nd fresh chilled shrimp with three different dipping sauces. The beet salad followed, a delightful blend of earthy sweetness and crisp textures. The main course was a feast fit for royalty: the cowboy ribeye, perfectly marbled and bursting with robust flavor, alongside the 12 oz. filet, tender and cooked to perfection. The sides of garlic mash, asparagus, and green beans complemented the steaks beautifully, each dish showcasing meticulous attention to detail and quality. Little details like finding napkins refolded on the table upon return from the washroom, and silver service replaced after each course highlighted the amazing service-- even with children in our party for an early supper. The wine list at Mahogany Prime Steakhouse is nothing short of impressive, offering a curated selection that enhances every dish on the menu. Our server expertly guided us to the perfect pairing, elevating our dining experience even further. As we indulged in desserts, we savored every bite of the key lime pie, its tangy sweetness balanced by a buttery crust; the brûlée cheesecake, a creamy sensation with a caramelized top, and the triple-layer chocolate cake, a decadent finale that left us dreaming of our next visit. Throughout the evening, the ambiance remained sophisticated yet approachable, with soft lighting and tasteful décor creating an intimate setting perfect for both celebrations and intimate dinners alike. Mahogany Prime Steakhouse is not just a restaurant; it is an experience crafted with passion and dedication to culinary excellence. Every detail, from the food to the service to the ambiance, reflects a commitment to creating memorable dining moments. For anyone seeking a memorable dining experience that delights the senses and nourishes the soul, Mahogany Prime Steakhouse stands as a beacon of culinary greatness. This is a must-visit when you're in Omaha, and a fine addition to your restaurant rotation if you're a local. My deepest compliments to the management, the servers, support staff, and front end crew for an outstanding five-star experience. I can't wait to return on our next visit to Omaha.

They definitely have/had some pretty high prices compared to other eateries in the area. I'm not sure if that is caused by cost of goods or location or what, but I think that did come into play when a lot of economic hardship is happening all over. Like I mentioned above, I DID like their food, but it definitely had to be a special occasion type of thing, due to the high prices. When we did go, I LOVED the Maryland Crab Dip. It reminded me of my favorite crab dip in the world, at the SweetWater Brewing Company in Atlanta. We also had the Green Bean Almandine that was on special last time we went and that was pretty good, but you have to be a green bean fan, for sure. I decided to try the sushi as my main dish last time, and had the Everything Crunch Maki, which consisted of cooked salmon, jalapeño, and cream cheese. It was pretty good, and had a little hint of spice to it from the jalapeño, which cut the heavy cream aspect. My husband had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon for his entree, and gave me a few bites. It was cooked well and the mushroom risotto below it was very flavorful and filling. The cute nautical ambiance and excellent service were always appreciated, so no complaints there either. I think if they had been in a different area with less expensive rent and cost of goods, I may have visited more often.

Most of the highlight was the various types of burgers and fries they had, so my partner and I got two kinds, and we both enjoyed our respective meals. I had the block burger, which was as good as I imagined it to be, with juicy patty cooked to medium and every ingredient needed to make a good burger. The poutine had a lot of beef gravy and cheese curds, which made the dish a comprehensive experience to consume, rather than just fries. The duck duck goose fries were amazing! The duck confit, cheese curds, mayo, gravy, and gooseberry gastrique combination worked super well on top of the fries, because they altogether basically made it a gourmet dish that I had to eat with a fork. Finally, the sloppy nick was seasoned very well, even if we got the vegan version, which used impossible meat instead of ground beef. It was still really great! Hope everyone who visits Omaha gets to try this spot! Their wall has quite a few articles that recognized them as a locally renowned burger joint, and I could see why. Since they can be busy, I would recommend people getting there earlier to secure a good table spot, if dining in.

I also checked out their menu and noticed it was definitely a unique, interesting menu. Upon walking in, there was a line backed up to the door and I waited in it about 15 mins and it didn't move one person, but I used this time to check out the menu and decide what I wanted. After noticing the line not moving and the cashier in heavy discussion with the family that was there placing their order, I felt it might be best to use their online ordering for carryout pickup instead. While doing this, the line moved up once and I suppose that next party had questions too and of course, plenty of time was spent answering those questions. This might seem like good service, but when the line is that long, either have more people there taking orders or use a kiosk for those of us who don't need to ask questions, or remind guests that there are many others in line (probably after the first 5 mins of discussing the menu) and the line needs to move up. After I placed my order, it told me it was accepted and gave me a time range of when to expect my order. I sat down and waited until the end of that range, which was only a few mins, and then went back up to the pick up area to ask about my order. The lady working was very friendly when I explained what I did. She gave me a number and told me she'd bring my order out, she also gave me the drink I pre-ordered. A few mins later, she brought my food out. I looked around to notice that people who were waiting for food prior to me still hadn't gotten their food. I'm not sure if it's always this slow in there or if it was busy because there's a conference in town. Opening the clamshell that my food was in - I noticed a beautiful sandwich and fries. The fries were piping hot and crispy and tasted great. The sandwich looked really nice, but when I went to pick it up, I noticed the entire bottom was soaked in grease and their hot sauce that was on the chicken. So, I fork & knifed this meal. The flavors of all the parts of the sandwich together were nice, just wish I could have picked it up without being a mess. If I ever returned, I'd get something different.

The tastiest part is the super sweet poppy seed dressing. As far as the stars of the show go, I've eaten several of their steaks. It tasted as if it was marinated low quality beef, chewy, difficult to cut, (yes, this filet was not easy to cut with a quality steak knife), odd texture. colleagues steak was basically raw (appeared bloody red)--he'd requested MR, sent it back to kitchen twice! Another colleagues steak was very Rare. Steaks were really disappointing as was the preparation. Our party of five was surprised when the steak was returned still undercooked. Considering the quality of my bone in filet steak and the undercooked steaks, I won't return to this location. There's a kitchen issue that needs to be resolved and the manager when that steak was recooked for second time should have observed it was still very rare when he delivered it because our table of five all did. Less than stellar experience due to the subpar beef tartare and steaks.
