If I can do 0 stars I would. I was looking for a cleaning service for biweekly monthly cleaning as I have a very busy schedule. I requested a cleaning on Sunday but I was not able to accept it on my end because I was working out of town. Which should have been a sign not to book a cleaning service with this company. I was able to work from home today and received a message if I was interested in having a maid come and clean today. I thought how perfect this is. I was very wrong. The person who came to clean was 2 hours late and it was a man who showed up. I am a single woman who lives alone. At no point in time was I EVER informed the cleaner was going to be male. Every single time I have requested a cleaning service from ANY company it has always been women. NO ONE knows what women have gone through in the past with men and not disclosing a man is going to be entering my home is NOT okay. Now they know my security codes and where I live. I already feel extremely uneasy about living alone and now I have this thought of people who have knowledge of how to enter my home. I am shaken and extremely disturbed. All of this could have been avoided by having consideration and being professional by explaining disclosing all information regarding the cleaning. Having been an Airbnb superhost, I can tell you that hotel-level cleanliness is pretty much required by every guest and I appreciate that they work off a checklist that we both have agreed to. I've had really good experiences with the cleaners at Maid This. Dolores was a long time person that came twice a week. She was super efficient and fast and our hike looked like a model home after she was done as she somehow managed to make the messy sections organized. Bonus - my kitty became her little helper ... It was easy for me to work from home even while she cleaned as she was mindful and somehow worked around my needs during her slot. This is a scam company. I hired them for a move-out cleaning of my house. After showing up, they called me and said they would need double the time to clean it because it was "gross." It was not gross. It was a 900 sq ft house we had just moved everything out of so it was dusty and the fridge needed wiping down etc. I agreed to give them the extra time because I was in a bind and needed the house cleaned by that day. After 6 hours of work they called me AGAIN and said they would need an additional 4 hours the following day to clean it. I told them no and that this was insane. When I went to the house that night, the house wasn't even half cleaned. I don't know what two cleaning people were doing there for 6 hours straight, but they had barely accomplished anything. It was an extremely frustrating experience and it really felt like a scam to me. I would definitely not use this company. read more

They consistently overcharged me more than their original offer and refused to acknowledge the legitimacy of the original price. They are definitely overpromising to attract customers and refusing to keep their word. I've been using MaidThis for my AirBNB turnovers for the past year, totaling over 30 cleanings. There are pros and cons to this service. Pros: 1) Syncs with AirBNB calendar and automatically sets up cleanings. 2) They try to set up a regular cleaner who knows your property and how you like things done 3) They are flexible with getting last minute cleanings out to you or if you need to cancel a cleaner and are just past the 24 hour mark 4) Cleanings are good (not great, but good). Guests are generally happy with the cleanings but I am not blown away (they don't do the "hard to reach" places, scrub the floors, or go the extra mile, but they do "enough"). I usually have to deep clean on my own once a month / between every few cleanings. 5) When my regular cleaner comes, I'm usually happy. The first couple of times I had issues they tried to rectify - the first time with a full refund, the second time with a partial credit. Cons: 1) If they send a non-regular cleaner, it's usually a nightmare where the cleaner doesn't know where to go or what to do and I get incessant calls on my phone. I find that the cleanings are not done as well - trash left in the trash can - hairs and crumbs on the floor, etc. And they tend to ignore my general rules like turning the A/C off when done. 2) It seems that after two times of complaints, they don't do anything to help you on the third (no partial credit, nothing) 3) Pricey. I pay $95 and the cleaner is usually in an out in an hour as it is relatively easy to clean. Pro/Con: During the COVID crisis, they are not doing same day turnover cleanovers, so you need to book a day before and after guests. I appreciate them trying to protect their maids, but this is obviously a strain on the bookability and profitability of an AirBNB. read more

I scheduled a move out cleaning earlier this week. I specifically asked for extra time in kitchen (cabinets) and bathroom, and doors. I asked for this prior to cleaning and directed maids when they arrived. When I did my walkthrough, one cabinet wasn't cleaned in the kitchen and another looked barely touched (stains on ground). I asked the cleaning lady about it and she said they scrubbed. Now I know there are things they wouldn't be able to get out, but it wasn't even touched! I went over it myself after and i could clean it better. Hallway closet wasn't cleaned at all. Worse, areas they "cleaned" looked fine on intial glance. But something didn't sit right with me so I wiped it up myself. Well it came out super dirty. So what did they do? I got cleaners so I could leave the place clean for inspection. Now I have to go over everything again myself as I don't trust their work anymore. Even places that initially looked clean. What did I pay $160 for?? I have emailed them and they did try to contact me to talk further. Expecting a call from them today. Would not recommend this place. The only thing they seemed to get right was windows and vacuum. But now I see corners weren't vacuumed properly so I'll need to go back and do that. read more

This company was awesome, friendly and professional at first. Then it went down hill. The accent that you get when you first call, is inauthentic. By the third call, the accent is gone. How odd. I hired them to do a move out on a one bedroom back house. The cleaner was friendly and professional until she called me complaining that everything was too dirty to be cleaned and that I should throw away the appliances. She left it dirty. I did not see her work BEFORE she left. When I went back there, the floors were still filthy, the stove I cleaned, the walls half done, the fridge that she suggested I throw away, untouched. I let the office know that the same cleaner was in welcomed to clean my three bedroom home due to being in thorough. Seems like that got defensive and stopped returning my calls and texts. I made several calls with the company early May and am yet to receive a call back. It is now early June. I keep getting an answering service telling me that someone would get back to me. I disputed the charge with the bank. Maid This is avoiding refunding money because of a 100% satisfaction guarantee that is not being honored. I hired someone else to come do what should have been done the first time. I'm still waiting for a reclean... a month later. I needed it ready for a Tenant to move in. I don't think this experience happens to everyone. I hope not. They refunded me AFTER they charged me for cleaning my main home. But for the poor job on my back house. Regarding the company : The person I spoke with explained the process clearly, including what to expect from a monetary standpoint and booking an appointment was very easy. No issues there. Regarding the cleaning : There were two ladies that arrived. I have them a quick walk through if the property so they could become acquainted with it. They had been informed this was deep cleaning to be move-in ready. Unfortunately when they were done there were visible places they forgot to clean so I asked them to go back and clean. When they left I did a detailed walkthrough and noticed the blinds had lots of dust on them and the sinks looked like they had just been wiped down quickly. Disappointing. read more

First of all, they were early by 2.5 hours - and they kept missed calling me while I was on a work zoom meeting. They didn't leave a voicemail, just missed calls repeatedly. It was very disruptive. I scheduled my meetings around the reserved cleaning time - and they made it feel like it was my fault for not letting them in earlier. I felt like they did the bare minimum - she spent most of her time washing dishes even though I have a dishwasher and there were like 5 glasses I used to drink water in the sink. Not dirty, easy rinse. When they arrived, I did give them a list of things - but she didn't finish the tasks that I asked her to do - including the organizing of a couple of shelf. In the bathtub, it was cleaned ok, but they couldn't clean the spots on the bottom of the tub. So after they left, I sprayed with scrubbing bubbles and was able to get the stain off easy. She also said she couldn't clean my over and that I had to hire a professional cleaner. I'm sorry, I didn't realize I had hired an amateur cleaner? So I had to re-clean the oven with baking soda and got significant stains out that she wasn't able to. Which basically means I had to reclean the oven and the tub, which, I really don't want to have to reclean after hiring someone to clean. If this is the quality of the work, I will be unlikely to use this service again. read more

I would like to preface this with the fact that my house is pretty much spotless. I am unable to vacume or mop due to injuries. I signed up for a "deep cleaning of floors, kitchen cabinets and light dusting if needed". I had dusted all my furniture 2 days before. They did not move ANY furniture i.e. dining chairs! They did not sweep or mop my entryway or the stairs. They did not wipe any of the baseboards. They were in and out in 2 hrs instead of the 5 hr deep cleaning that was advertised. Like a fool I tipped them $25 thinking they did a good job but not inspecting. (I had also signed up for bi weekly regular cleanings). Their solution was to give me a deep cleaning the next visit and only charge me the $109 for regular cleaning. That was not an option as my house was barely touched by the "$189 Deep Cleaning". My first time trying MaidThis was a pretty good experience. The cleaner, Khaliah, did a great job cleaning my 2b/2b apartment. The trouble was more about the company. Khaliah ended up coming hours late because the company had booked her in Newport and I live in Brentwood. There was literally no way she could have been on time. To make it a bit worse the customer support person straight up lied to me, then tried to cover it up by saying s/he had a mix up with a different cleaning person. All in all, Khaliah was great, and she deserves 5 stars. read more

MaidThis is great. Easy to setup service through their website. No exchange of money day of cleaning, which is helpful for someone like me who never has cash. Your feedback is important to them and they do their best to accommodate your requests. I recently had Vicky clean my place and she did a phenomenal job. I could tell she really took her time and she was mindful of the areas I requested be exceptionally clean, i.e. floors and bathroom. It's refreshing to find someone who takes their time. I highly recommend the company. These people are pretty attrocious when it comes to billing, and it needs to be addressed by the better business bureau or something. I booked them a year ago, paid for services, the maid came, cleaned did her thing, and I thought it was over. Now, they are saying I didn't pay, need to pay again, and are threatening to take me to collections?? Over an "error" they say. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. MANY OTHER SERVICES IN THE AREA. This whole ordeal was not a complete disaster, but an experience I never want to go through again. I very clearly stated what I was looking for in my conversation with Varsha on Yelp before hiring MaidThis! Cleaning: "3 bed/2 bath home in North Hollywood with a garage that was converted into a small gym with a small bathroom & small office. We are not looking for a simple dust and vacuum, but instead a deep cleaning that includes all surfaces, windows, flooring, mirrors, etc. I do pay attention to detail and am looking to find cleaners that we can have come regularly once the proper service has been provided. We would also like this cleaning to be completed on Friday, October 12th. Thank you very much." I clarify with Fez the day before cleaning via email about what is expected and he/she tells me that they don't have availability for 2 cleaners to come even though I prebooked this appointment. I was not happy! On the day of cleaning, one gentleman (Jay) shows-up to deep-clean our entire house and converted garage. He only brought a few things with him such as a bucket, cleaning bottles and rags/towels (maybe a broom as well). He had no vacuum :( I was told they bring everything they need with them when they come to clean. To make a long story short, he was very detailed in the shower and did a good job there, but spent way too long in the bathroom (about 2.5 hours). Mind you I was working during this whole time and didn't have the opportunity to pay real close attention to him. Even after extending his stay because I was hosting a party that night and needed everything cleaned, he still did not get everything done. And, a lot of what he did clean was cleaned improperly. He seemed to use the same blue liquid on everything...floors, counters, shower, tables, mirrors, etc. I guess I thought he knew what he was doing and had a special versatile cleaning agent, but that was not the case! Jay is nice and was detailed with some stuff but then he had to rush and everything got less detailed. Two cleaners should have been sent as I told them originally would work best for as much as we needed deep cleaned. I recommended that they not having their cleaners use the same cleaning liquid again as my house smelled bad after the cleaning (bad for the party - had to spray the whole house). Our dogs were falling when they jumped on/off the bed due to the slipperyness of the floors and every time I walked down the hallway my shoes squeaked, which they never did before. My rugs would not stay in place even with the usual sticky pads we use to keep them in place. Finally, the white cabinet in our bathroom was scratched during the cleaning as well. I asked for a refund as I was charged $300 for the cleaning. I had never paid more than $175 for my entire house to get cleaned before! They refused the full refund and instead refunded me a $20 (REALLY!?). They also offered to send 2 cleaners for 2 hours the next week and then discount my next cleaning. None of that helped the fact that I was hosting a party that same night. Bibi and Antonio were the 2 cleaners that came the following week. They did a good job and agreed that Jay defintiely did not clean properly. They stated that he was new and not fully trained by the company (these two usually train the others). They did reclean what he did not clean properly (kitchen, dining room, 3rd bathroom, office, gym, all floors, and all mirrors), but would not clean what he didn't get to originally. They may need to improve their communication skills. When I called them to make a booking, it's a bit hard to understand them. For instance, their "ok" sounds like Cantonese 屋企, and I don't understand how they are saying "then". The credit card number they recorded didn't work, and they asked me to input it again on their website. Their website doesn't have an obvious way to set up alias for credit cards. I input the card numbers by creating a new card on my profile, but since the old and new card end with the same number, I don't know which is the correct one. Though, these are minor issues. Their price is inexpensive, that one bedroom home cleaning is $109. The website mentioned there will be one or two cleaners coming, and the price is a flat fee.  I initially ordered one bedroom cleaning, then I asked if they have extra time to clean another bedroom, upgrading my order to two bedroom cleaning, they replied yes.  There is only one cleaner coming for my two bedroom project.  The cleaner from MaidThis clearly understands her mission: "The goal of I coming here is to clean, not  to move." But she failed to make things very clean. There are still dust on the wiped things, and she may not use enough power to remove stains. One evidence is that I personally wiped the lamp wiped by her, my yellow rag turned black, and the lamp became more shiny. I asked her to use more power, make the rag wetter, and wipe some places one more time. Since I asked her to redo some places, she mentioned she had another appointment at 3:30, ie. the total time she is expected to be here is less than 3 hours.  When other companies are cleaning my apartment, they typically send 2 cleaners, and it often takes them 1.5 or 2 hours to finish the project. When the cleaner from maidthis came, she should be ware she would stay at my place for 3 or 4 hours for the one bedroom project. It's not even wise to say she does have additional time to upgrade the project to two bedroom home cleaning. Because of her time constraint, I refrained  from asking her to do more or redo some places. Instead, I tried to borrow the vacuum machine from her and clean the carpet myself, but she was kind that she vacuumed the carpet for me.
