Restaurant has pretty interior decor, servers were quick to attend to us and helpful with the menu. I enjoyed the noodles and kung Pao chicken. Next time i would pass on the wontons, but looking forward to trying more of their menu.

Noodles were moist with lots of chicken and ung choy, Fried to perfection and not overcooked. Large portions 1 order can feed 2 people. Lots of take out orders That tells you tlfood is good if locals go to pick up.

This restaurant is very spacious! The establishment was very clean!! The service was normal. The server was very tentative & fast w refills & the check. BRING YOUR OWN TUPPERWARE FOR TAKEOUT bcs they charge per container. The general tso chicken was the best thing on my table!!! A must order! I also ordered garlic fried rice, but I couldn't taste the garlic anywhere!! It tasted like regular fried rice! The egg rolls were good, but the sauce was bland. The salt & pepper pork chops were very salty, but I guess that what I ordered since it's in the name lol. I asked if they had a side of sauce for the pork chops & the server said "no need Bcs it alrdy has plenty flavor" LOL she still brought out honey mustard & soy sauce. I will come back to try more stuff!

Updated review. Everything tasted great! We got general tso chicken (one spicy one regular), orange chicken, fried rice, chicken lo mein, and chicken egg rolls. All were fresh and flavorful. Staff was very friendly. Parking is in the back and open now. Very clean. Price is a bit high for take out but it's a nice sit down restaurant as well. Our takeout for family of 5, well really 4 because wife and youngest shared was $115. We had leftovers and usually Chinese takeout isn't the best leftover but it was still just as good the next day. Aloha.

From the moment you step inside you see beautiful artwork and flowers on the tables. Very nice service, seems family owned. The food tastes great. We got egg drop soup 4/5. Orange chicken special plate 4.5/5 and spicy sesame chicken 4.5/5. We got a jasmine tea pot as well for 3 dollars. Worth it.

Here at the Great Wall restaurant for the first time on the ground floor of a green condo building!

On my first visit to this restaurant, I had no idea it would be this clean. The parking lot is to the left of a light-green condo building where it seemed that the owners might live. As we walked in, we saw several open tables and chairs very well organized in the room and were soon led to a set of matching wooden chairs surrounding the round table with smooth, rounded edges and corners making it safe for a baby. All the decorations were extraordinary, including the centerpiece plant on the 'lazy Susan' glass rotator where we sat. An image of the Great Wall of China is masterfully painted on a huge porcelain vase and beside it were paintings of various scenes in China. On the opposite wall, a design next to a paper maché arrangement of silverware read 'Let's Eat!', so we promptly flipped to the vegetarian section of the menus we were handed. There are many great vegetarian dishes to choose from for those concerned about their diet. We started off with a couple of spring rolls with sweet Asian chili sauce. Then we had a veggie dish of garlic ONG Choy. We had a sizzling platter of eggplant and my date Lehua was impressed by how the chefs shaved all the rough skin of the eggplant to leave them so smooth and silky looking. We also had a bowl of brown rice served with curry tofu with peas and carrots. Overall, we had a great meal in a beautiful restaurant for a wonderful deal! Maybe the green attracts abundance? It definitely earned my review!

I grew up in Wahiawa and never tried Great Wall Restaurant til recently after my family ate there and had nothing but good things to say about their food. We got a variety of dishes. My favorite has to be the Mongolian beef. The beef is tender and filled with spicy flavors.

Protein included tough beef, dry chicken, and adequately cooked shrimp. Overall dish was oily and not well seasoned. Mongolian Beef - Not Mongolian beef. More of the same tough beef in a tasteless stir-fry with green peppers. Vegetable stir fry - slimy and tasteless. Large onions were prepped halved and quartered. Chicken with Broccoli - same veggie stir-fry with tasteless inch cubed chicken thigh pieces. Orange chicken - tons of super salty sauce and super small pieces of chicken that were overcooked and I couldn't make out the coating. Eggrolls and gau gee were satisfactory. I don't usually post negative reviews but money is really tight these days and although the plate portions are large, this $73 purchase order wasn't worth my hard earned dollars. They may have a few signature dishes but unfortunately it wasn't any of these and I will not be returning.

The lady was so nice and had a smile on her face the whole time! I ordered Crispy Gau Gee Mein, Cold Ginger Chicken, Shrimp Canton, Pork Fried Rice, and Chicken Katsu w/ Fried Rice. Portions were great and pricing was even better, 5 plates for $60! Seriously one of the BEST fried rices I've had (both the pork fried rice and the plain fried rice that came with the Katsu)! Shrimp Canton is a little different from the breaded type and served with veggies, it was different, but still very good. Sweet and sour sauce was more on the tart side (I'm used to Maile Chinese's canton sauce, sweeter side). Pork fried rice and crispy Gau gee were definitely my favorites. This place is now added to our takeout options for lazy dinner nights.

4 stars for Mililani Restaurant!…read more The food was cooked really well, but everything needed salt, so the flavors never got to shine the way they could have. Which is honestly a bummer because if they had seasoned Bill's Fish & Chips... dude... it would've easily been the best we've ever had! The other day, my family stopped by Mililani Restaurant after my son recommend the fish & chips. Since I'm a sucker for variety - and I hadn't eaten here in about 20 years - I also ordered the Mini Fried Saimin and Mini Korean Chicken. I love seeing each restaurant's take on these local favorites. Bill's Fish & Chips: WOW. The full order is HUGE! You get three giant pieces of cod over a mountain of shoestring fries. The fish was cooked beautifully - super crispy on the outside while staying moist and flaky inside. But oh Lord... it needed salt! The fries had a great crisp too, although they did have that darker, old-oil flavor that was a little hard to ignore. Since I'm a foodie who likes to come prepared, I happened to have lemon wedges with me lol!... and man, did that take the fish to another level. Hey, don't judge! (I'm pretty sure my family was embarrassed... but ask me if I care. Hahaha! Jk... kinda.) We all agreed that if they had simply salted the fish right out of the fryer, this would've easily been a 5 star dish. Mini Fried Saimin: Can we talk about that portion size for a mini?! Super generous! Unfortunately, this one also needed more seasoning, and the oil flavor came thru more than the other ingredients. I know it's fried, so some oil flavor is expected, but it kinda overpowered everything else. A little more shoyu would've gone a long way. Since fried saimin is usually one of my favorite things to order (local girl at heart!), I'd give this one about 3 stars. Mini Korean Chicken: The sauce was delicious and reminded me of Sugoi's Garlic Chicken. The only downside was that the chicken itself wasn't hot. It tasted like it may have been cooked earlier and then portioned out for my plate. The service was friendly, helpful with recommendations, and they packed everything securely. Our order was accurate, and the prices felt fair for the amount of food you get. They definitely have a great variety for a neighborhood plate lunch spot. Would we make the drive all the way from Ewa Beach just for this? Probably not. But if we're already in the area, we'd absolutely stop by again. One last heads up... if you're planning to dine in, be prepared to leave smelling like the fryer. The ventilation could definitely use some help.. we all went straight to the shower when we got home!

Jade Chinese Restaurant - Waipio's Long‑Standing Gem…read more Jade Chinese Restaurant in Waipio has been a trusted favorite in the community for years, and it's easy to see why. This is the kind of place that welcomes everyone--families, longtime locals, and hungry walk‑ins alike--with consistently good food and fast, friendly service. One of my go‑to dishes is the Honey Walnut Shrimp--perfectly crisp, lightly sweet, and always satisfying. The Soft Gau Gee Noodles with gravy are another must‑try: comforting, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a classic local-style Chinese meal. While enjoying my food, I noticed a steady flow of take‑out orders--both walk‑ins and phone orders--which says a lot about how much the community relies on Jade. They handle the rush with ease, keeping things moving without sacrificing quality. If you're looking for a place to pick up your Chinese New Year meal, Jade is an excellent choice. They've been part of the celebration for years, and their dishes bring that festive, traditional flavor we all look forward to. Kung Hee Fat Choi! I sat down on one of the 9 tables and looked over the menu and bam my eyes became fixated on the beef curry combo. I thought the beef was going to be thinly sliced but to my surprise it was chunks of tender beef. The curry was on the sweeter side which I actually prefer so it was a 10 out of 10 for me. The Ramen noodles has a nice chew to it. The slice of pork was on the thicker side but it tasted a little salty which may have affected the broth as it was neither a hit or miss but right in the middle. Needless to say I ate all the noodles and left most of the broth. I woild give it 7 out of 10. The pan fried gyoza was good. The wrapping had a nice texture and chew stuffed with pork, onion, chives ginger and something else but it tasted good. 9 out of 10. Service was really good. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and was given a menu and water. Never had to ask for a refill on water. 10 out of 10 for service.
