Our group wanted to go eat at Keke's. I've never been but I've heard a lot of hype about this spot. It's first come first serve; and we waited about 45 mins to be seated. You need to come in and put your name on the waitlist and then will text you when your table is ready. I really wish they had a reservation/waitlist system. It would be extremely helpful. I liked how inside was set up with their booths. I decided on ordering the Keke's French Toast combo. Unfortunately, we were told they don't serve warm syrup anymore and my french toast came out a bit cold. I enjoyed the eggs but not the American cheese that I did ask for. Not sure if it was the brand they had. I just didn't enjoy the taste but overall it was an okay meal. Our waitress was very nice, and always made sure we had everything at our table. The prices are very affordable and I see why it's always packed. I would come back to try something different. read more

Omer were so disappointed. We had a 30 min wait (understandable). A lot of staff standing around while we waited to see who our server would be. Ordered our drinks. Those are the reason for the star. Ordered our food. 2 exactly the same breakfast sandwich. 1 Create your own combo plate. Food took a LONG time to "start" coming out. 1 sandwich, which was $10 with a very very flat scrambled egg. Looked like 1/2 of an egg! And the toast for the Combo plate. Next came the O/E eggs for the combo plate, I asked about my sandwich and crickets....... He didn't come back so we asked for someone to send him over because the combo plate came with your choice of meat and potatoes. He left. Didn't return so after 20 min, we asked for the manager. Told her we just want to go. At this point you would have to start all over because the eggs and toast were very cold now. Still didn't get everything and he forgot to put the 2nd sandwich in. We told her let's just pay for what we did have, our drinks. So yeap. Even though we weren't expecting anything free! She did charge for them! We should have just got up and walked out since we knew we would not be returning. Those potatoes that the other table had, looked delicious though. I went to Keke's for a weekday breakfast. Glad to see a location near Grand Prairie. The buttermilk pancake, grits and bacon are my perfect combination. The pancake was not overly thick. It still had texture when covered with butter and syrup. Grits were creamy and hearty. Bacon was a good serving. However, I found it hard to choose the combo that includes eggs plus my 3 favorites. I had to choose between eggs, home fries or grits (tough decision). Anyhoo I suggest you take someone with you to share an entree if you are curious about other items. I went to make an online order and went to submit my gift card but there was no where to input the gift card. I called and shared my concern and the guy on the phone said he'd take my order and proceeded to have me on hold for 7 minutes, enough time for me to arrive. When I arrived I place my order with to go and the server didn't know how to pay with a gift card and so she sent the manager to help. He admitted he was new so he was trying to figure it out. After 6 minutes of trying and me showing him the email and gift card he did nothing. I told him to cancel my order and I left. I will not be returning to this location after such disservice. After an early doctor's appointment is the best time for brunch, so we tried a new place - Keke's. Open until 2:30 with breakfast served all day. Everyone was friendly and we were seated right away at one of a multitude of booths. Perusing the menu I could see that we would spend about $30 for 2. That's with no coffee or juice or milk and excluding tip. I say this because I believe that $15 for 1 very large pancake, 2 eggs and 4 slices of bacon (2 would have been fine) is expensive. That's what I had. Create a combo. The pancake was delicious. Enormous and fluffy. One over easy egg was not too over easy but the other was perfect and runny. Some bacon was greasy, some not and not as crispy as I'd hoped. I cook better breakfast. I do. However, my husband had terrific onion rings and a wrap. His Carolina Chicken Wrap with grilled chicken, pecans, bacon, tomato, cheddar, and honey mustard was amazing, he said. The wheat tortilla might have been a little chewy, but they usually are. The surprise was an upcharge for the onion rings. I should say, misunderstanding. The $3.50 charge was removed by the manager. Sometimes, not everything is clear. The surroundings are calm, soothing and beautiful with comfy booths. There's plenty of parking out front. It's near IKEA and EPIC on Mayfield off 161. I liked it. It would be nice for family in town or any get together. Just be prepared to spend at least $20 - $25 an adult or more if you order beverages and additional items. Solid new brunch spot in GP. I visited on a recent Saturday and yes, there was a bit of a wait but they moved through the list pretty quickly. As for food, everything was good, but nothing was like "wow". My tablemate that ordered an omelette complained it was lacking enough filling, but the waffles that I sampled were yummy! Service was super friendly and efficient. No complaints. This is a Flordia-based chain that's expanding into North Texas so I expect them to be opening more locations in our area soon. Customer Service: From the host/hostess stand to the server everyone was friendly and welcoming. I ordered the Banana Caramel Pecan French Toast Combo. Satisfied is an understatement. The portion sizes were perfect, and leftovers did go home. The only critique, if you want to call it that, is that I wish the syrup was warm. My bacon was crispy just like I like it, and my home fries were good too. The french toast was delicious. I saw some other items on the menu that I want to try so I'll be back for sure. read more

The location was recommended. We had about a 30 minute wait. There was a line. Once seated, we were able to quickly place our orders and the orders were served in about 15 minutes. Cute little breakfast spot! I ordered pecan waffles, seasoned potatoes, with sausage links. I had no complaints ! The potatoes were seasoned to perfection and reminded me of my own. My coffee had such a bold yet smooth flavor, that I easily had 3 cups! My sister ordered a French toast plate, a scrambled egg, which was not scrambled, and bacon. Went here for Sunday brunch, while I know it's graduation time, summer, weekends are busy, etc. the service & the flow is what ruined it for us. Given an estimated wait time of 30 minutes, I get it's an estimate but it took about an hour. When we went to see how much longer after about 45 minutes one of the hostess said that parties that had been dining were taking too long & that the manager was going to go around encouraging them to wrap it up. The only reason we continued to wait was because we had two special needs kids in our party, if you know what it's like we weren't going to change what we had planned. And honestly, we were looking forward to trying their food. It was clear that it wasn't the diners that caused long delays. It was the service. It took an hour, maybe more to get our food? An hour & a half? Our waitress never refilled our drinks while waiting. A manager, Marquis, was already doing damage control visiting each table apologizing for the wait stating they were busy & working out the flow as it's only been four months since they opened. Kudos for him to being proactive. He stated our food was almost out, 30 minutes later, nope. My friend had to leave because her son with autism was having a hard time with the long wait. After we voiced our concern on the lengthy time & told him she had to leave, he stated our food was the next ticket out. At least 20 minutes to remove her food from our order & get it out to us, unacceptable. Thumbs down on the matter of fact attitude he gave off during that time. Other tables & pick-up orders were taking just as long. Our waitress, after hearing we were upset finally paid attention to us. She never once said sorry, but instead wrote a note on our bill that she was sorry for the wait. It's the flow, not the customers, don't blame your patrons because you all can't get it together & maybe it would've seemed more sincere if she had actually said sorry to us. We won't be back, which is unfortunate because the food was simply delicious. Waffle were on point, cheesy grits were amazing, my other friend's kid ate all his bacon (it's a miracle! lol), omelet was excellent. And to the red haired waitress (not ours) that showed kindness to one of the boys we were with, thank you for understanding his needs, thank you for showing some kindness by posing for a photo & dancing with us when he asked you to. #1 breakfast spot mistake: service so slow no one asks you what to drink before taking your breakfast order 10+minutes after being seated with menus. Then the first plate (of two) shows up before the pot of hot water for the hot tea (see picture). Plate #2 shows up 5-6 minutes. Still no hot water pot nor plate #1's toast order. Plate#1's limp but burnt home fries order was disappointing. Plate#2's asked-for-it-crispy home fries were the same limp Luke warm as the other. The Eggs Benedict: eggs were overdone but the hollandaise sauce was fabulous. Burnt toast: ok. Table next to us left, they got tired of waiting: staff stood next to us arguing about whose table it was and which one of them missed it. Late 80s music play list was fun. This is a great addition to the area but man we spent about $100 for lunch/breakfast for our group of 4. Food was decent but i am pretty sure the frenchtoast i ordered didnt have much egg on it...if any. It was a large piece of toast with powdered sugar. The waiter was soon followed taking our drink order. My husband ordered an orange juice and I ordered a white peach Bellini mimosa. My said his orange had more pulp than his liking but it was fresh and the mimosa was good- I needed a little more juice to sweeten it up more as I am not a drinker. Stepping out of my usual I ordered the cheese steak omelet with onions and bell peppers a side home fries and a short stack of pancakes. And my husband ordered his go to French toast. He got French toast combo with 3pcs scrambled eggs with cheese and turkey bacon. Service was quick and efficient we waited maybe 10mins for our food to table after placing our order, very quick. The portions did not disappoint. The omelette was half the plate and well portioned with steak, cheese onions and peppers with every bite. The pancakes were buttery sweet and crispy edges and the home fries were seasoned sliced sautéed red potatoes. They good and had a different approach to home fries but they were not my favorite compared to the omelette and pancakes. I was full after eating about a 1/4 of my omelette and 1/2 of my pancakes. My husband French toast where 3 full thick slices of brioche bread -cut in half gave him 6pcs and his eggs and turkey bacon were plated separately. He liked all his food but wasn't a fan of the smokey taste of the turkey bacon however he definitely was eating my omelette. The service was great and the atmosphere is nice; it's a great place to grab breakfast with the family and get that "diner" experience. The menu has a few typos they're working through, but the servers can talk you through it. I got the Nutella stuffed French toast which was a little dry for me, but I'd try it again. So disappointed with my experience. I wanted to make a "to-go" order for a single item. Issue #1 came when I called the restaurant and no one picked up. I should've known to cut my losses from there, but since I was in the area anyway, I decided to stop by. On arrival, I asked to place a "to-go" order and was directed to the back of the restaurant. No one was available and no one made an effort to help me. After waiting for about 10min, I finally flagged down a waitress, who took my order. I then proceeded to wait another ~30min before, I had to flag down another waiter to check on my food. While waiting, staff did not check on me or offer any water. When my food finally arrived, it was lukewarm/cool. Management needs to better recognize where their employees are lacking and should train for areas of improvement. It is unacceptable that a customer should flag down so many employees just to order and receive his/her food. It should not take so long to prepare a single order and the food should not be cool upon arrival. Better care should be taken with providing a comfortable environment for customers. This experience was subpar and I would not recommend this restaurant to other people. read more

Happy to have a new breakfast/brunch spot in Grand Prairie. The food was tasty and the interior decor is bright and cheerful. When you walk in, it feels like a GOOD MORNING (lol). The servers were very friendly but the service was a bit slow. When we dined here, it was the restaurant's 13th day of being open so I feel like they are still working out the kinks that come with opening a new dining establishment.
