I'm not a regular but do come every few months whenever I have a dinner buddy I need to catch up with. It's a smaller locally owned restaurant, which I prefer. The service is always great and you can't go wrong with the tiramisu. Shrimp Fra Diavolo, the Ricotta-stuffed tortellini, carbonara, the tuscan meatballs, calamari, are all good choices. I haven't had anything I disliked, just haven't tried it all yet. I'm not a drinker but I *believe* their happy hour is half off some of their wine bottles. read more

Came in with a group of 6 for dinner reservations and the service, food and ambiance were 10/10. They had a deal on wine in which we happily decided to buy a bottle of champagne. The pizza and pastas were perfect and everything was about $15-$25 per meal. Would definitely come back and great spot for large parties! read more

My wife really wanted to try this place and me and the boys wanted Cheesecake Factory or Davenports but we decided to make her happy. She has been raving about seeing this Italian spot across from AAA and that it always looks packed. We researched and realized it's been there for 14 years and I've never seen it lol. It's because it's so small and that's how we quickly realized why it looks packed. First off, Coral Tree and Mora are the same owner and share the same kitchen so when you see that all the parks are for Coral Tree, it's actually ok to park in those parks. We parked further down to avoid being towed smh. Secondly, the place is very small but romantic and intimate. There were people in there that looked like they were on a date and here we come with two kids complaining that they don't have Shirley temples smh (so sorry). Anyway, we were quickly greeted and got everyone situated. We ordered the: House Focaccia 3/5 - too crispy Tuscan Meatballs 5/5 - that sauce was fire! Insalata Caesar 3/5 - very lemony Rigatoni Alla Vodka 2/5 - plain Faroe Island Salmon - 3/5 - basic Crisped Sea Bass 4/5 -good but very small Cacio E Pepe 4/5 - basic but tasty I thought the food was ok. Some items were amazing like the meatballs and surprisingly The Cacio E Pepe. The salad was maybe a little too lemony and my issue with the sea bass was that it was good but it was so small and thin that I think I had maybe 3 bites. A great meal starts with excellent service. I had a reservation so I was seated right away even though my full party wasn't there. It's a very small restaurant but very beautifully decorated with about five tables and a bar area although they do have an outside patio. The server was very friendly and attentive. We started with wine, of course, and crispy calamari. I have to say this calamari was so crispy, tender and tasty probably one of the better calamari apps I've had. It had not only calamari, but also zucchini and artichoke. For pastas, we got the Cacio e Pepe, carbonara, and the Bolognese. Just delicious. Each bite was so tasty and pasta cooked perfectly. I love eating with people who like to share since you get to taste a lot of dishes and then even go back for seconds. Finished off with the tiramisu, which was a great way to end the meal. Only downside is Parking is very limited. Although they have a parking lot, it is shared with a market and other businesses which also have designated parking spots. Small and quaint spot for hidden gem of a place for decent italian food. Only thing with the indoor seating is that the benches are way too high for the table. I felt like a dog eating out of a bowl and had to be switched to the patio seating. Very limited parking in the lot. Calamari was delicious and not overcooked with too much breading. Pizza was delicious with a good crisp and quality ingredients. The bass was a bit too oily for me and the vegetables were drenched in the oil. Asparagus was either overcooked or in the oil for too long I dont know. Bread service was... interesting. Focaccia was very thin and almost like a cracker. Would maybe add a bit more in the dough and bake a little less? The star was the tiramisu. Light moist with all of the flavors i want in a tiramisu. Will come back and try the pasta. read more

A friend invited me to join them at this establishment. I honestly was not expecting such a special place. I was merely trying to meet up with a friend. Besides finding my friend, I found an intimate local Italian wine bar with a very classy and sophisticated environment. The parking lot is not large, so it might be the case that you'll need to maybe park on the street curbside, but the walk would not be far. I just appreciated how relaxing and classy this place was. I want to place emphasis on the word "intimate". This place is chill. However, the best part about this establishment might very well be their food. It's a wine bar--and if you're a wine lover, you already know you're not going to have a problem finding a good glass of wine at an Italian wine bar. What I was not expecting was to have a pasta dish that I would find to be remarkable. The "Penne Arrabiatta" was outstanding. Mouthwatering. I look forward to trying more of their menu. I've driven past this place a million times but I was finally able to try it recently and I'm so glad I did! I really enjoyed this small Italian restaurant whose interior gave me real wine bar vibes. Most of the seating is outdoors under a patio (perfect for LA). I went with my husband and son and another family with their kids. I was worried about it being too formal for a kid friendly spot but it ended up being great. We came early enough that the real winos were just getting there as we were leaving. The food was excellent - real Italian cooking and the service was extremely attentive. We got some pizzas for the kids, chicken Parmesan, beet salad, and lamb chops. Everything was amazing, except I'd skip the chops next time - not worth the price. I'd opt for the chicken Parmesan instead. Overall, I'm excited to come back! read more

I had a great experience at Mora. The service was wonderful 10/10 and the food was delicious. We had a bottle of cab Franc that the waiter recommended I was very happy with. We had the Tuscan meatballs for an appetizer. They were creamy and fresh. We had the Rigatoni Alla Vodka and the Spicy Prosciutto pizza. What is this little dump? That thinks they're so classy? I walked in there one evening and I needed a reservation. It looks like a pop-up restaurant. It looks like particleboard on the walls. It's small. I wouldn't eat there if the Lord told me too, and I had one friend of mine that went there on a New Year's Eve and all they did was stand over her and her kids the whole time they were eating I don't see how they were standing over them. I really used to like this Restaurant. but I went the other night with some good friends, and the food was just not as good as it usually is... I was embarrassed because I recommended the restaurant to these people. My salad tasted like it had been in a refrigerator for too long and the pizza just wasn't done properly. The other guests had salmon, chicken parmesan, some other salads, and I think meatballs. Nobody at the table commented that their food was delicious. I had a gift card so we tried it. It was tricky to find the front door because there was no sign. It's a tiny place with only 8 tables inside and some outside in a tented patio. We were seated right away. They brought out focaccia bread with olive oil & balsamic vinegar. We shared the Caesar salad and I was glad that it was big enough for two. Found this spot through the inKind app while looking for a place to go to celebrate a birthday. Tucked next to Coral Tree Cafe this spot is on the smaller side for their interior dining area but they do have a decent outdoor patio for al fresco dining. The staff was really nice and attentive. Now it's not often that we order several dishes and they are ALL good. Absolutely no complaints on any of the dishes. The spicy prosciutto and ndjua pizza was so so crispy and the sauce was so robust and flavorful. We also ordered the insalata tricolore and it was refreshing and light; the champagne vinaigrette perfectly sweet and tangy. For main entrees we went with the shrimp fra diavolo and the shrimp was nice and big and cooked very nicely; a second pasta we ordered was the carbonara; the bucatini was perfectly al dente and the sauce was exquisitely rich and creamy. We also ordered the rack of lamb which was a big hit. For sides we tried the sautéed broccolini which was spritzed with lemon juice as well as the lemon potatoes. To end the evening we satisfied our sweet tooth with a tiramisu and their olive oil cake. Both desserts were phenomenal but what really won me over was the olive oil cake; with its berry sauce and cream with crushed pistachios ughhh I dream about this cake. Food is very good and service warm and helpful without being all over you. They have seating inside - very small and intimate space that we really enjoy. There is an enclosed heated patio that is also nice for parties of five or more. We love the pizza, pasta and salads. Main course dishes are also very well prepared. The salads were average at best and tasted prepackaged from a supermarket. The fish and steak were both dry, lacked flavor, and definitely didn't taste restaurant quality. Omg!!!! My girlfriend ordered a salad and guess what !!!? As she was chewing, she pulled out of her mouth a hard piece of plastic bag. We stayed fairly quiet about it, and when the waitress came by, we quietly handed over the piece of plastic that was in the salad. Had a terrific dinner tonight with my wife and kids! The servers are always terrific, and tonight was no exception. Jorge really went above and beyond! Tonight was particularly busy, and he did such a lovely job telling us when our courses were coming out and even apologized for the slight delay in getting food out (he noticed how hungry my children were, which is a particularly kind quality) Always love their pasta and pizza. Last night after two visits, I asked five other friends to join my wife and me at Mora. I thought it was easy to satisfy two people as they had before, but seven is the ultimate test. Especially, when two of my friends are tough customers. I mean tough. Further, when I was there last, I saw a fillet mignon go by and I had to try it. They sat us in their small but quaint patio. It was so cozy. The fillet was unbelievable. My friends ordered octopus as an appetizer among a few other items. The octopus was gone within a minute. I am not a fan of octopus but it must have been fantastic. We had three bottles of wine and it was delicious. The father and son team along with their crew are doing an amazing job. The pizza was okay, but the pasta dishes either had a large amount of gristle--chewy and inedible--I had to have a small pile on the edge of the plate for all of the pieces that were too hard to eat, or somewhat bland. The pictured penne was advertised as a rigatoni dish, and the noodles were over cooked to the point of cracking and falling apart. The service was very slow, as they were understaffed and we waited a long time between sitting, ordering, and finally having our food arrive. Lucas thank you so much for making our date night extra special. We enjoyed the sea bass and the mushroom pizza. We started out with the arugula salad with burrata cheese. Good enough for two people. A lite appetizer. We have lived in the area for a couple of years and decided to try the restaurant out. It's classy & tastefully decorated. It's a small restaurant inside and a good space of seating in the outdoor patio. Lazaro greeted us along and offered us bread with tap water or sparkling water. They only serve wine & beer. No mixed cocktails. Misouri is a server along with Lucas. We look forward to trying it out on a Thursday night when there's live guitar music in the patio.
